Sitting next to Gare de Lyon, this hotel offers great accessibility, metro, tram, bus, is just across the street. Make it easy to travel to old town center. The room was spacious enough for 2 travelers with backpack. Plenty of space to put our things. Aircon was ok for a hot day in Lyon, gave us a good night sleep. Bathroom also very clean. The hotel manage to give our request days before the trip, appreciate the great communication. The only draw back could be the carpet floor can be a little bit cleaner. Overall the experience and the stay was great.

The hotel is very close to Perrache subway station, the front desk is on duty 24 hours a day, the service attitude is very friendly, the hotel is also close to the city center, walking distance. There are many books in the lobby, suitable for ordering a coffee and reading, and the Qingyang music is very leisurely. The room is fully equipped, hygienic and good. The hotel is also close to the beautiful riverside.

I booked this hotel for 3 nights from 25 to 28 October on their website (price was better than on booking.com). Before check in hotel preautorized amount for first night. During check in, the woman didn’t speak English (on the wall there is a sign ‘English spoken’), tried to take this amount again. After my refuse, she agreed to take the other payment and COMPLETE preautorization. But the amount of the first night was double charged. The other day I talked with English speaking receptionist and he confirmed that they didn’t complete that pre authorization, but took another sale and I have to wait to get money back when it will be unfrozen. After explaining that usually in all the world the preautorization can be cancelled by pos machine, that guy MADE one more preautorization for the amount of first night!!! After calling to manager, he said ‘sorry, but we can’t cancel not the preautorization before arrival day, not the one that I did by mistake now’. I asked for solution, but he just said sorry, that he can’t do anything and the manager whom he called is not interested in fixing this problem because it’s a Sunday evening. What the hell?? Firstly woman who has no idea and no language skills made the payment without explanation, second the other staff made a mistake and all they can do is ‘sorry but I can’t do anything’?? Is this the European level of hospitality?? Even for 2 star hotel is terrible service. The room was okay, but there is no window, instead of it there is a second door without lock, but with jaloezie. No fridge in the room. Room is on the ground floor. I expected that facilities and service is for 2 star and I would not complain. But absolute indifference of problem solving and unprofessionalism of staff, unwillingness of fixing the issue on the manager’s level are just shocking.

What an absolute gem of a space! We were greeted with the warmest welcome, in the most beautiful lobby. Our room worked well for us. Breakfast was just wonderful. Standard French breakfast, but every thing was delicious. We also very much appreciated the lovely dame giving us a walking tour on a map when we told her where we wanted to visit. She helped us make the most of our one day in Lyon! We hope to return as soon as possible.

This small property is amongst a row of many hotels, sandwiched in between the Rhone riverbank and the Perrache railway station. It's actually a little bit tricky to reach as the station and the bridge means using a lot of underpasses and tunnels to get to the door. That's not the greatest feeling of security as the passageways are not exactly clean and inviting and at night, it's a distinctly dodgy part of the city. Nevertheless, the hotel itself is safe and secure, but they have issues that rather diminish the otherwise good service. The hotel is themed on railways, mainly it seems, British railways. Rooms are small and basic, yet fairly comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful with maps etc., but the overrall service is lacking. I had a single room and it really is for a single person. Preferably a child. The room and bed was tiny and cramped, but clean and modern. There was a desk squeezed in (but no chair), but nowhere really for luggage. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean and fresh and there is good lighting and power points, with reliable free WIFI. The room had good heating, but in fact, I found it was overheated and there's no control. The bathrooms are very similar to what you'll find on a train or a cheap cruise ship. All in one space, cramped and difficult to use. Toilet, sink and shower all together in one tiny space. The water from the shower is the same source as the sink and the sink isn't much use at all. The pressure is good, but the shower water goes everywhere, into the main sleeping room. It's not possible to avoid. The space would be ideal for a small adult, but a normal size adult is just going to feel cramped and hemmed in. They do provide tiny bars of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo, plus one towel. It's all a bit sp****. The problem the hotel has is in their maid service. You might get your room cleaned. Most likely, you won't. Even if you ask the maids (which seem to be young, non English speaking men) they ignore you. When you get back after a long day to find the room unmade, trash not emptied, no soap, no shampoo, no towels, it's quite frustrating. I checked each morning to make sure I'd get service and each evening I'd return to find they hadn't done it. Breakfast is good, with a good range of food and drinks. Nothing hot at all, (except toast), but there's cheese, ham, pastries, breads, fruits, yogurts, coffees, juices etc. All enough to keep you going. The hotel needs to step up it's service. Otherwise, just be ready for a very small space. It's fine for a couple of nights and I managed to cope with the tiny bathroom stall, but any longer and I'd not have coped at all.

The hotel is just next to Lyon Perrache bus and train station. However, since it’s located at the corner and the surroundings is quite dark, so it took me for a while and kept asking people nearby in order to get to hotel. Luckily, a convenience store nearby was still opened during that time and the shopkeeper showed me the way. Still it’s very close and convenient as I arrived there at midnight, and I was able to check-in. The room is small but comfortable. It’s fine for me to stay for one night. It’s great that they offered luggage storage after check-out, so I could have a half-day visit in Vieux Lyon.

The hotel is located in the heart of Lyon, just a 5 minute walk from the central square and shopping streets. There are a variety of specialty shops in the shopping street, big-name luxury jewelry and ZARA, HM, etc., although not comparable to the Paris store, the goods are all, but the basic models are available to meet the basic shopping needs. The most acclaimed hotel is the breakfast, on the top floor of the hotel, with a view of the Rhone River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The breakfast is extremely rich, because it is the holiday season, breakfast is delayed until 11 o'clock, you can rest assured that you can take a nap and slowly enjoy a fine brunch.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is about 10 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the shopping spots on the other side of the river. Life is convenient, there is an Uexpress supermarket downstairs, you can buy fruits, yogurt, super delicious. Must be freshly squeezed juice, cheap and delicious! The room is not big, but each double bed is 1.5 meters wide. It is no problem for two people to sleep on the same bed. It is a good news for families with children. The room is very clean. Although it is not very high-end, it is not bad.

Location-wise I'm not sure - it really depends on what you are in Lyon for probably. Should be easy enough to get into the city center, though for a tourist I would probably only choose this place because of price as it's not really in the center. This looks like a bit of an older Mercure - at least the rooms - but nothing could be faulted on the service. Very nice people at check-in / check-out. Seemed like a noisy hotel downstairs in the lobby every time (people having a good time I'm sure) but it was quiet enough in the room. The room was quite nice too, bit of a special layout but I like that. Good bed, good wifi, good enough bathroom. Would I go back? If I had to be near it, definitely would. Though it wasn't so exceptional that I wouldn't also look at other places before deciding :)

We chose the hotel for our 3-day stay in Lyon as the location was close to the train station (5 minutes by tram to Liberté), and allowed easy transit and walking access to other popular spots in the city. The Junior Suite provided great views of the Fourvière Basilica (especially at night). The room was equipped with a small fridge that we used to chill our wine and treats. The neighbourhood was surprisingly quiet. We had a great time in Lyon, and would stay at this hotel again.

The best thing is to have free parking spaces, which are really rare in the city, but the parking spaces are first come first served. If you arrive in the evening, it is basically impossible, and it is recommended to stop the car and don't drive. It is not convenient to drive in the city. The room is small and the design is not very reasonable. The 7-day standard is still equipped with a sink in the corridor. It is better to use the space in the area near the bed. The service is reduced because there is always no one at the front desk. I want to check out twice and can't find anyone. I really don't want to take the time to put the key at the front desk. The location is convenient, next to the literary and art neighborhood, in fact, the feeling of the cement forest, in a building and patio that is abandoned and actually lives, there are many graffiti, standing in the parking lot can see the river opposite.

The hotel is quite chaotic, armed with guns and various shackles.

We had been travelling in the South of France for 9 days when we arrived in Lyon to stay in this beautiful hotel. The location near the funicular and the Roman museum/amphitheatre was perfect. Literally 10 minutes interesting walk downhill to the old town. But it was a struggle to ever leave. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, the pool area(which we were the only occupants of) was so relaxed. The breakfast delicious. But it was the ever helpful, professional, delightful staff that made the whole experience. The concierge made excellent walk/meal suggestions and she so patiently explained the easiest way to find places. The breakfast staff couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating. Actually every staff member we encountered was delightful as if they really wanted us to have the best possible stay in this exquisite hotel We rarely return to a place, but it would be worth returning to Lyon just to stay here!

The metro line D, which links directly to the centre, is less than 200 metres away, recommended 24 hours ticket to freely tour with all the means of the city. In many local areas, we had dinner from Monplaisir Côté Cour and we were very good. The air conditioning was negative, really very noisy, so much that it could not be used during the night, and this, in very warm nights, is a really serious limit. Other details: The exhaust was unconnected from the command behind the rubber, the lower shower support was broken, the pillow was only hanging up. Breakfast is excellent even if it is lacking for salt, lacking any salsa and making only eggs, sauces, bacon and a couple of cheeses available. I would still use this hotel, with the reservation of testing the air conditioning before taking the room.

Good location within walking distance of everywhere. Good breakfast with nice assortment of items you would expect in a European hotel. The room was about the size of a standard cruise ship room, about 2 feet on each side of the bed and very cramped. Nicely updated bathroom with rain shower and shower wand and good water pressure. Big door to the bathroom opens in and if you are standing in front ot the sink, it is difficult to close unless you step into the shower. They should have used a pocket door. Very little space next to the sink. Air conditioning condensation leaked down the wall and soaked part of the carpet. Like most hotels, they only provided one luggage rack for 2 guests. Night stands shaped like mushrooms, stylish but not very functional. No laundry stain in the shower. Adequate power outlets and 2 USB ports next to the bed to charge phones. Good internet. Desk is a small oval table about 2 feet wide by 3 feet long, very small. Desk chars are padded stools with no back. There were power outlets next to the desk. I don't know the price because we were on a tour.

Good location close to mini market, opera house and Bachut tram stop. If we point out the friendliness and passiveness of the cleaning staff, such as blood stains around the SDB switch, it can be cleaned within an hour, for example. The food was not tested because accommodation = studio. Cleaning the ”corners” is not a luxury, for example: child stickers left on full-length mirrors and radiators, dirty elevator light panels, this is the 3 * range of the viewfinder. Television: Disconnected 5 basic TNT channels and many foreign channels at night. At the reception: no one can depart from the station at 1:30 pm on Christmas day and can take luggage between noon and 2 pm, so we drag the suitcase because we have to leave before 11 am. Too bad, because the taxi stand is just opposite. Quiet accommodation, if you are on the street, you can find it in the noisy garbage collection.

It was great!! Love to come back some day ❤️ The location, rooms, view, breakfast. The best place to visit Lyon (great city). The hotel gives you the feeling of visiting a dear friend who is happy to see you. We could even charge our electric car at the hotel 😁👍 Thanks for everything 🙌🏽

We visited this hotel in route to the Alps. The hotel is in the centre of Lyon and is one of the nicer, cheaper Novotel brands. The rooms are similar to most other Novotel rooms. The staff were extremely helpful and main lobby and bar area os very nice. The young guy behind the bar, I think that his name was Thomas, was extremely helpful. He was able to advise us on local vineyards that they sourced their wine from. An asset to the company. My only gripe was that we eat in the restaurant as we had been travelling all day and did not want to spend time looking for somewhere else to visit. I wish we had home elsewhere. The menu was extremely limited and the dishes that were served were well below the expected norm. Very disappointing.

The room is clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is quiet, the windows can be opened and ventilated, the French restaurant next to it is good, it is worth a try, s
