The room is modern and clean. The Tower of London and ferry terminal are right next door, and there's a bus stop nearby for visiting places like museums and other distant locations. Located in south Kensington and the circumstance is sooo nice, white architecture with excellent greenery. The room is clean and comfortable. You can also have some featured restaurants near the hotel. Actually I left my cloth in the closet of the hotel and I found that when I went back home. Room was comfortable and clean. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower. Had a slight problem with the parking payment (due a new system of clocking in on arrival to which I was not accustomed to), however this was sorted out by the reception staff. This hotel is a clean modern hotel which is well maintained. My wife and I stayed here twice, for 3 and 4 days respectively while touring the UK. The rooms were comfortable for sleeping, quiet and the air-conditioning worked well. The bathrooms were well designed and very clean. Housekeeping was fine. The major problem was that both of our rooms were very small and they had virtually no space for clothing. There was no usable drawer space and closets were tiny and had an inadequate number of hangers as well. If you are traveling for other than 1-2 days, there is no place to put anything. Living out of suitcases for 4 days or more does not add to the enjoyment of one's trip. The Breakfast is at best, just OK. There is a minimal amount of fresh fruit and while you can order off a hot breakfast menu, most things we ordered were not very good, so we stopped doing that. The Reception staff was marginally helpful. No one came to help us with our luggage. If you need a taxi or limo to take you to the airport, you are on your own. In addition, the front of the hotel is covered by bus stops so the taxi or limo has to try to find a place to pull us to load or unload. There are just a lot of annoying things about this hotel, some could be remedied, others probably not. For my next visit to London, I will not be staying here.From$124

The morning after our first night my friend and I noticed a bug crawling on one of the beds, we continued our investigation and noticed DOZENS of those crawling all over the twin beds we just spent the night in. We were exhausted the night before after coming back to hotel late and after having shower just jumped straight into beds - who would have thought we weren’t they only ones spending night in those beds! Quick research after our findings and we realised that those were BEDBUGS! Never in my life had I come across anything like this before, not even after being a student and staying at questionable hostels! We reported this to the reception and were offered another room. We didn’t move immediately in the morning and made an agreement that we would move in the evening when we would be back to the hotel. Coming back in the evening and reporting to the reception for a new room, we found one of the evening staff being rude to us and questioning if the bedbugs were from their hotel (like what?!?!?!?). Simple, we said, because we had photo and video evidence of bedbugs crawling all over the beds, we said! This quickly ended her argument with us. We then moved to our new room, where there was no obvious evidence of bedbug infestation, however being a reportedly new room, we found hair all over the floor in the bathroom of that allegedly “cleaned” new room. Unfortunately, being an extremely sensitive to cleanness person and following the events of the previous night, I decided to leave early and not spent another night in this disgusting hotel. My friend, who had a flight early next morning however had no chance and spend a little longer and left at 04am. The evening I decided to leave I started coming out in rash, which had only been getting worse ever since. The intensity of the itch is like nothing I’d ever experienced before - it stops me from sleeping, it drives me absolutely mad, no matter how much I try, one can’t look professional when they have bite marks all over their body, including the face, ears, neck, fingers, hands, forearms - ie areas one can’t cover up - and needing to constantly scratch herself! This obviously has affected my work! And the itch is no better even 6 days later!! In fact, the bite marks are now swollen, causing swelling of my fingers, the scratch marks are now bleeding and I am the most irritated I’ve ever been! Let me emphasise, this is six days later and I genuinely don’t know how much longer I’m yet to suffer! I have obviously filed a complaint and have been contacted by the hotel - they are “kindly” offering to compensate the cost of my medication (as I am now on antihistamines - which don’t work really, as I can’t take the stronger type due to its sedating effect, as I have to continue working and driving; as well as steroid cream) and the cost of my dry cleaning. HOWEVER, despite multiple email exchanges and telephone consultations, they are not planning to refund a 100% of our payment, the argument being From$83

The hotel was not too bad. In room 2303, where we stayed was lots of noises we didn't know where it was coming from. It was like we were in a boat with all the crecking and cracking noises. It was too expensive room for not being able to get a descent nice sleep. So, for that,we are not going back to this hotel again.From$177

Hotel location is excellent near to Underground to enjoy the subway . We check in 3 rooms but both my business partners was shocked . 1 room upon checking in there is someone sleeping inside the bed and another room upon checking in is not clean with the bed and towels still lying around . Understand it is the front desk mistake not sure why but they immediately change to 1 clean room and another 1 with a bigger room . Also they have given us free mini bar for the 3 nights so all is good . But still it was quite scary for them to check in in that situation . Stayed for 11 nights. Good hotel in a touristy location. Helpful concierge. The roasted chicken in Brasserie Joel is delicious (had it thrice over a week). The 3-tier American sharing plate at Primo Bar is pretty good and with good wine in the house.

We were struggling to work out our evening. We stopped at the St Germaine branded bar on Bishopsgate. We were greeted by Elpee. From the outset they made us feel welcome and went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable. They let us choose our seat, and set us up for what we expected to be a brief libation. My disabled partner and I were really impressed with Elpees attentiveness and quality of service. Being in London and disabled it can be a hard to navigate and aggressive environment. A little racist. As a traveler from the US on business, I'm very frequently the only Black person in the room. This was the case for a few days here at this hotel as well. One day it was raining and a lovely gentleman on front desk duty lended me a KK hotel umbrella as I went out. Upon returning, I thanked him and handed him the umbrella back but another woman was there. An Asian woman (if this helps mgt narrow it down). As I was walking to the elevator, she rapidly asked me my room number. Now, I just returned an umbrella so clearly I'm staying here, right? Maybe she was asking because she wanted to send champagne? Nope. That never happened.
She was racially profiling. I let her know I was in Room 303 but went back downstairs to address this with her to ask WHY she asked me that, but she had left her shift.
I started not to leave this review but I have to. If you're Black, I would stay somewhere else. As many of us know, this is never a good feeling.
P.S. KK Hotel, if you have audio on your cameras, check the evening of Tuesday, July 19, 2022 if you'd like to substantiate. And maybe partner with HR and invest in a little social awareness training. In case you didn't know, you have racists on your staff.SOLD OUT

Got upgraded to a family room with 2 queen beds which was a good start to the stay. However everything went downhill from there. The housekeeping only arranges the bed, didn’t refil body wash / clear bins unless the bin was full of rubbish. We wanted to do some laundry but the service was terrible. Bad communication among staff and resulted in paying almost 10 pounds per clothing. A good thing is that it’s about 3 mins away from Gloucester station and Sainsbury for daily things.From$114

|0.14km from BelairWe had been planning to visit for tea or cocktails after moving to the area last year - we thought an special birthday the ideal occasion but overall we were disappointed with the experience and won’t go back - the waiters were initially trying to be helpful and it appeared the issues we were having were coming from the kitchen - in the end we had a very long wait, refusal to accommodate a vegetarian order even though we’d agreed to simply not have one type of sandwich, without replacement and that apparently was too much to ask. We’d booked a table for 5 but had to manage with a tiny very narrow table that couldn’t fit everything on it, had to request used plates be removed on a couple of occasions, didn’t get the order we’d asked for, waiters were fumbling and dropping things, even onto us! and in the end despite a certain amount of good will we felt that the wait staff must be simply inexperienced and untrained in the kind of basic service you’d expect at that price and perhaps the chef was having a bad day - so lovely quirky place, tea selection pretty good overall despite insisting our vegetarian friend removed her own meat filled sandwiches but overall service let the whole thing down. More Fawlty Towers than you’d want.

But anyone in the room can see straight through both leaving little to the imagination - really no privacy- then the sink to wash was in the bedroom so again no privacy when having a wash - just a bit odd. But overall great - but I couldn’t have stayed more than 2 nights without a window.

|0.23km from BelairNo doubt this is a unique place to stay. It really does feel like you are stepping back in time. The main area has a library with books that are hundreds of years old! There is also a sweet black cat who lives there. The staff are all incredibly nice. The area is quite nice and historic, and it’s close to the subway lines (underground and above ground). I had two issues with the hotel that other people may want to know about. One is the shower situation - some of the rooms have baths only and some have awkward showers. I’m not a bath person, so I struggled with this. The other is that they use a copper cleaner on the metal which has a funny smell. You do get used to it after being in the room for a little bit, though. So I’d say that if those things don’t bother you, the Rookery is a fabulous place to stay, and it will be memorable for sure.

Location seems to be a bit far from center of London but, thanks to the nice traffc system, moving around in London is very easy, but please note that fares are not cheap.
At each room, heater system is perfectly embedded and it works well so that we could enjoy staying at warm place.
This nice hotel offers free coffee at lobby floor and it tastes super rich and good so that we did not need to visit place like Starbucks.
All staff were very helpful and very kind!
Hope to visit this place again whenever i travel in London.

No light and claustrophobic. Air con turns itself off (told it’s on eco mode) so makes room stuffy and feels even more claustrophobic. Taps to bath plumbing wrong way so turn to cold and makes water dam hot. Taps very lose in bath also and tap to basin won’t turn to hot. Need plumber maintenance big time. Bedding to Short for bed as sheet didn’t fit beds so rolled up. Staff very happy and helpfully but room maintenance and this horrible frosted window makes it poor. Breakfast good but please get the mix berries fruit out of the freezer well before putting out. Like eating frozen food. Nice position for west end theatre and St Paul’s. Please spend some time on rooms and get rid of this full frosted windows.

Only because we came with small hand luggage, we can put it under the bed, with bigger luggage it was big problem. There is no place at all to take clothes from the luggage. Even not so easy to pass through the room because all the room space was the bed with few centimeters free space to pass. We really didn’t want some big room, because we came to be outside most of the time but every morning was challenging to dress up. Coffee machine also was out of service. There is paid service to store luggage for 12 hours after check out, and I have not any problem to pay for this service, but I expected there is toilet when we came to get our luggage before we leave to airport. And it’s not.

I did message hotel 1 month prior to stay. As was Birthday weekend away, not one reply. I then called the hotel was told they would get back to me. They did not call me back. I did raise this when we arrived at hotel, and we got Prosecco in the room. Birthday card with the incorrect name on, and I didn’t give them any names. Luckily partner saw the funny side. (Phew) Other than this good stay. Would stay again, just need air con to work.
