I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The bellhop was also quite nice and helpful when we checked-out and needed to store lugga

Just disgusting. I stayed in room 105 and around 11:30pm discovered and then captured a bed bug. It was too late: I had more than 40 bites. - 7 on my inner left fingers from thumb to pointer finger - 9 on my pinky finger - 2 on my wrist - 11 on my forearm - 2 on my forehead - 3 down my left side - A cluster of 7-10 on my lower right stomach - 3 on my back - 3 on my upper arm - 2 on my foot I submitted the bed bug to management, Seema, the manager who arrived the next day said, “ We’re not qualified to assess this and will need to have someone come in, people stay at Motel 6 and bring these with them, and I will be in touch.” A week later, I opened a case with Hilton, heard from 3 different guest relations representatives via email with NO resolution or compensation, of course I moved to another room and then to another hotel. I also submitted photos of my bites over 2-3 days. They’re still healing, I’ve lost sleep and had to take Ativan, these bites and their oozing and crusting over have caused me tremendous stress. I wasn’t even offered a first aid kit! Do NOT stay at this Hilton property.

The hotel is nice and the service is very good. However, the safe in the room was not working, and they never sent someone to fix it after I called to report the issue. And they said they would send someone right away after they finished dealing with an emergency. Also, parking is way too expensive. And there are no practical alternatives if you drive a car. USD 40 per night is simply a rip off.

The environment is good, the hotel is quite big, the surrounding along the coastline is good, just watching the plane take off and landing at San Francisco Airport. Hotel room hygiene can. It is the reception service in general, especially a small Asian girl, with a very bad attitude and a look of carelessness, especially for the disdain shown by Chinese guests.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel. I booked a fairmont exterior king room with a view. The room itself was nice but what I really liked was the walk in wardrobe and luxurious marble bathroom with his and hers sinks. Breakfast at the hotel and dinner in the Tonga room was also really good. Customer Service was top dollar. The only criticisms I would have are that:- 1) There was only one functioning lift from the main foyer to hotel rooms, 2) upon checking in a hold fee of $100 per night is placed on your debit/ credit card (only returnable 5-7 days after departure) and 3) some of the meals were overpriced, I was charged approx $55 for a medium sized pizza and bottle of water on one night. Overall, enjoyed my stay and would return.

Location of the hotel is good. As told, left side of the hotel is more safe than the right side as there are not many homeless people on the left side. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.

The front desk staff (Ben & Daimler) greeted me with HUGE smiles after a long flight. They offered me a much needed quiet room and even upgraded me to a beautiful suite. Complimentary wine tasting was going on in the lobby with live music. My room was beautiful and very clean. After unpacking, I realized I forgot toothpaste. I went downstairs on my way to dinner and asked the front desk if they had any extras, they brought it to my room along with an extra toothbrush while I was gone (amazing!). Great location. Walkable to so many restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

When we reached hotel, we were informed to pay destination fee of USD25 (excl tax) per day, you may use it to make purchases in hotel. Need to request for kettle n bedroom slippers n etc. The shower tap was so confusing to use. The toiletries was not check n refill (eg: no conditioner at day 3). There is only 1 toilet roll, no spare one. The phone can only use with speaker, cannot use receiver cos there is no cord. The service is below expectation for a reputable hotel like Westin n destination fees is really a surprised.

The room is large and the front desk service is very good. Due to language problems, communication is a bit inconvenient. The front desk directly asks colleagues who understand Chinese to help communicate. It is convenient to travel, but the meals in the executive lounge are too simple. There is almost no change in the breakfast and evening snacks for three days.

Stayed two nights. The hotel is located near Union Square, and the location is very convenient. You can take tram as soon as you go out. There are many famous brand shops and shopping malls nearby. The location is superb. However, the content of the hotel may be a long time ago, except that it is very small and outdated. You absolutely don't dare to step on the slippers, and you ca n’t imagine the dirty. Other equipment can be clean, but for the convenience of transportation, it is also possible to endure a night or two.

Close to Fisherman's Wharf and restaurants. The $30 daily ”hotel fee” seemed a bit much for a ”free” bottle of water and internet access. They could have at least included free coffee in the lobby. We did take advantage of the nice bikes, so we got our money's worth. Room smelled fresh every day and didn't have that musty smell you sometimes have after a few days. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We came into the city for a Giants versus Dodgers game at Oracle Park. This funky little hotel was within a long walk’s distance, just over a mile, and had parking $20 cheaper than the stadium! Our room was clean but we had to ask for a second bath towel and there was no decaf coffee available in room, but we could get some for breakfast downstairs. We appreciated the carport which was dated overnight and the staff was super friendly. We would stay there again for a quick visit.

Overall, it would be one of several properties I would consider next time visiting family living in the Castro. Pros: * Location is ideal for in the Castro * Very clean rooms, hallway, elevators, and stairwells * Recent rehab; room furnishing in great condition; high quality bath fixtures and bath tile * Accommodated early noon check in request Cons: * Bar on ground level plays loud music until midnight that can be heard on the second floor * Requires advance upload image of highly sensitive personal documents (passport, driver's license, state ID, etc), but does not communicate any data privacy commitment (data security, encryption, transfer/copy protection, access limits, document purge, etc) * Linens for fold out sofa bed not provided

No frills, nothing fancy, just a decent, honest hotel that is a great place to put your head down for a couple of nights. Stayed here for 2 nights pre/post the Death Ride in Markleeville...a few other cyclists here too. Didn't really use any of the facilities, but had b'fats and evening meals in the hotel and both were good value, with attentive staff and a good selection to choose from. If I ever came back to do the ride again, I'd stay here.

Similar to the domestic express hotel, there is no breakfast. There is free coffee and hot water at the entrance of the first floor. Just like the Chinese cabinet building in the 1980s, there are two floors. The middle of the building is a staircase and a public bath (including toilet). There are two public bath rooms on the floor. Each room has a wash basin to provide hot and cold water, wash your hands and brush your teeth can be solved in your own room, but the bath and the toilet will go out to the public bathroom in the middle, the sound insulation is general. So it is recommended to live on the second floor. The hotel, often in the early morning, there are people up and down, dragging slippers to take a shower. But the win is at the right price and the location is good. The street in the front and back of the hotel has a free parking from 6pm to 6am, but be sure to take a closer look at the instructions on the signage. There is also a parking lot, which is charged per hour by day, and there is a self-service type to see your own preferences. Usually 20 knives for 24 hours.

I was in town during a major conference and all the typical business hotels were either full or exorbitantly priced. SOMA Park Inn was an excellent alternative. The style is what used to be called a motor hotel, which is a multi-story version of the classic park-at-your-door motels that used to be ubiquitous. The room was very nice: comfortable bed, good linens, plenty of hot water, and clean. It had in addition to the usual coffee maker a small fridge and microwave. The WiFi worked fine. The location is reasonably convenient: right on the Mission MUNI bus route and a quick walk to the Civic Center station on Market. There’s a nice coffee shop across the street and a good Ethiopian cafe a couple doors down the street. As others have noted, the area is a little sketchy. But I never felt unsafe or concerned about security. If you want a full service hotel with a bar, restaurant, business center, room service, pool, and fancy lobby, this is not your place. If you need a comfortable room not far from the business district on a budget, this is a good choice.

He tried his best to accommodate me, and certainly did help tremendously during my transition to San Francisco. It makes a big difference when you arrive in a city you do not know anything about, and a smiling face is there, to help you and guide you. Thank you for making this transition so easy.

The location is good. There are two supermarkets in the center of Los Angeles. You can buy ingredients to cook in the kitchen. The hostel provides cups, Yantai and microwave ovens. The 6-person room is a bit crowded. There is a refrigerator in the room. There are two bathrooms on each floor. The shower water is also quite hot. The downside is that the police car sometimes makes loud noises at night, and the surrounding homeless people talk loudly, which can easily affect poor sleep. People, if they only live for a short time, it's okay.

The hotel is newly renovated, the location is very good, there is its own parking lot downstairs, parking is very convenient and safe. Everywhere in the hotel is very good, except for this broken air conditioner, which is very noisy. The rest is really nothing to say, if you don't turn on the air conditioner, it is recommended to stay, I am very satisfied. It's just that there are too many homeless people outside the hotel. This hotel can't be relied on. I'm overall satisfied, but I won't live there in the future.

It is an old hotel, but there is no dirty impression of the hotel itself. The service level was not particularly dissatisfied. Location, but it is convenient because it is close to the station, but it is close to the bad security area, so if you accidentally enter the dangerous area or enter the fast food shop near the hotel, You need to be careful because you are entangled with people by wanderers. If you stay, you should not go out at night, and you should move to the front of the hotel by taxi or UBER.

There is such a courtyard in the downtown area, you can park for free, have a simple breakfast, the price is not expensive, there is a small elevator upstairs from the parking lot, it is really good, although there is no microwave and refrigerator, but there are ice cubes Accepted, it is very convenient to visit all the attractions in the city.

Well located if you are down to San Francisco only for a couple of days. Unfortunately the noise from the street (homeless was the main problem not quite safer if you are walking after the sunset) was very loud during the night. They tried to overcharge me with the resort fee that i have been paid already during my reservation with booking.com but of course on your arrival they don't double your reservation but they automatically try to charge you this extra. Please make sure that you check your bank account the day of your check out so the problem can be fixed in person. Our stay after all was ok. Not too bad for only 3 days.
