The hotel's infrastructure is in a good sanitation environment and it is difficult to find a parking space in the city center. Synchronize with friends to book two rooms of the same standard and at the same price. But the two rooms are a world apart, one room is spacious and bright, and the evening room service and small gifts are available. The other room is extremely rudimentary and has no service. The most unbearable thing is that one of the rooms did not have a TV remote control. The reply I received after calling the front desk was that there was no way to solve it. A four-star hotel doesn't even have a spare TV remote control. Even if there is no spare remote control, the service staff can take one from the vacant room. The front desk staff was arrogant and lacking courtesy. I will never stay again next time.From$176

Strasbourg|2.75km from city center
No service at all. The reception is only available till 7 pm. So if you arrive 30 min later there is nobody to acomodate you not even by telephone. We booked the hotel exclusively for the underground parking but as there is nobody at the desk you cannot enter the parking either. The streets around the appart hotel al full of cars and there is no spot early in the evening. It is also difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel. We had to ask the neighbors as it is an entry for the apartment complex and another entry around the corner for the hotel. Via de email at 18.59 hr you get a message that they leave a credit-card form key for you in a locker that you have to localise inside of the lobby. An old person will not be able to follow these instructions. We found the key but did not enter the room as we first wanted to get the car parked. But as the hotel parking is only open with a remote control you cannot enter if no one is there. The neighbors are nice and let you in, but Néméa parking is blocked by a barrier and you cannot get in. Inside the garage are warnings not to park elsewhere or you are transpassing. So we got so stressed that we decided to leave and book elsewhere last second. It was 20.30 hrs in the meantime and bookings via booking.com did not get through. We had to book in situ. All with all a lot of stress. The people from Néméa were not apologetic that nobody answers the phone after 19.00 hrs not even at 19.30 hr, when we called. You cannot arrange for a parking spot only on the arrival day upon arrival. They do not tell you this nor that it costs you 50 euro extra as deposit that you hope to get back. Either ways, Néméa is not willing to reimburse us. We will definitely never book with them again. And if you come by car, unless you can arrive prior to 18 hr (so that you can be sure you can arrange the parking) avoid this place as well. The area is not safe to leave a heavily loaded expensive car on the streets. Safety first! Booking.com censors this review this is why we place it here❗❗❗From$48

The location is very good, three minutes away from the railway station, and easy to get to the old city, all within walking distance.
I don’t know if it was the reason why Ctrip booked the room. The room I gave was not in the main building, but in another building. There was no elevator to go up, and the room I gave was of the kind without windows. Just stay for one night.
The breakfast was pretty good. Basically there are fruit juice, bread and fruit. The lobby also has a coffee machine for your own use.

Bourse-Esplanade Strasbourg|0.76km from city center
I stayed at Hotel les Haras for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. It is across the river just a few blocks from Petite France and the old town. It is a 15 mins. walk from the train station. So everything is close, but you are just outside the centre so it feels really quiet and peaceful. It is near the teaching hospital and the cave historique des hospices de strasbourg (old wine cellar) is worth popping by and is very close. There are also several excellent and affordable restaurants within steps of the hotel - less touristy than the ones near the cathedral. I chose this hotel because hotel guests have access to the spa area/pool for 1 hour daily and this was a highlight of my stay. You do have to reserve a time slot, but I would usually book it on the same day and whatever time I wanted was available. Sometimes I had the facilities to myself, and at maximum there were 3 other people there. The swimming pool is heated and beautifully designed. It is peaceful but big enough you can actually swim some laps. There is also a Finnish sauna, steam room, showers, and one of those buckets where you pull the cord and it dumps cold water on you. Then there is a relaxation area with chairs, loungers, blankets and tea. Just blissful!! If you want to stay over 1 hour, it is 25 euros but I also did not feel they were strict and timing your stay to the minute. I did not use the gym but took a peek and it is small without any mirrors, but has some basic equipment if you need (cardio machines, free weights). They let me borrow the pilates mat as I prefer to workout in my room so that I can use videos from my laptop. When I checked in, I was shocked to see my room was not cleaned and was a mess from the previous guest. I was surprised at the oversight. I would also say the woman who checked me in was not particularly warm. She just gave me my key and did not make any small talk whatsoever (e.g. asking where I came from/how the flight was etc). So my first impression was not the best. But there was a staff member in the hallway, so I told them my room was not ready and she quickly fixed the situation. At first, she said I can wait and they will clean it. But I was annoyed as I had been traveling almost 24 hours (flight to CDG then taxi to train station then train then 15 mins walk in the heat) and just wanted to rest and shower. Plus, it was after 3pm which is the designated check-in time. It's not like I arrived early. Thankfully, they found me another room and immediately took me there and were apologetic. I did not require much assistance from the concierge as I already had things planned out. I did not eat their breakfast, as I preferred to go to different cafes nearby to try their baked goods and coffee. I did enjoy sitting in the courtyard and reading. Front desk staff (a kind man, didn't get his name) were helpful when I needed to borrow a universal adapter. The room itself (the basic queen room) was near perfect. Good experience except for the lack of WiFi during the last two days. Also a very unfortunate incident. When I ordered a bottle of white Châteauneuf du Pape, I was brought a bottle which had been opened earlier and whose cork had been replaced. Instead of having me taste it, the waiter served us (my wife and muself) a small quantity of wine and left us to our own devices. The wine was completely oxidized and undrinkable. When I complained, another waiter replaced the bottle. The first waiter then proceeded to remove the cork before us but almost poured some in the same glasses which contained the first one ! Only when we protested did he bring us clean glasses but still didn’t let us taste it. When I finally did, it was borderline oxidized but still drinkable. This lead me to believe the first bottle had been rejected by a previous customer and that the whole stock of Châteaneuf du Pape should have been returned to the producer.From$95

Clean hotel room - quite small but it is a city based hotel. Excellent location to tram stop. About a 20mins walk into the city itself. About a 10mins walk to a supermarket. Only downside is the parking situation. Either on street parking if your lucky or paid whilst you stay here. The drop off zone is not very well organised, lots of parked cars and no staff to help/advise so we had to find a parking space first and then carry our luggage with our 2 year old too, not ideal. Staff friendly. Did not have the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Wouldn’t stay again because of the parking situation - too much of a negative for us. I guess its ok for a short stay like ours (2 days) but any longer would be difficult. If you’re not bothered about parking then it wouldn’t affect your stay!From$82

|0.35km from city centerBeautiful hotel, with great wine bar conveniently located at the brink of the ”Grande-Île”. 3min walk to Place Kleber, about 10min walk to the cathedral. Lot's of restaurants in the neighborhood. Comprehensive continental breakfast. You're getting a significant discount for parking in the nearby ”Indigo Kléber” (located Place de l’Homme de Fer). So first drop your car at the parking lot, present the ticket to the receptionist at the hotel and he will hand out a discounted ticket (roughly 50%). Rooms are split in two catagories: facing the back yard: very quite. Facing the street: very noisy, the whole night long. We've been in luck staying in one of the quite rooms. However our friends got one of the rooms facing the street having a terribly noisy night. And like in a lot of other hotels: no power outlets for your charging devices. You've got to crawl on the floor, pulling out power chords from unneeded stuff to get your gears charged.

|1.23km from city centerWe arrived at the hotel midday on the 28th of December, checked in a bit late (I was told the room was not ready). Was not annoyed at all though, the receptionists were really friendly and chatty. They helped us through with anything we asked for, cannot complain about anything. The room was a bit ”isolated” from the other rooms which was a nice bonus! Closed garage just next to the hotel for a reasonable price was also a bonus. If there would be something for me to suggest that could get improved, that would be the wifi signal in the room. I guess that was due to the fact that it was a bit isolated, perhaps an extra access point would make the job perfect. Still, I browsed the internet just fine, had to move a bit from the bed to the desk. Location-wise, it's only 15' walk from the historical town center and a 10' minute walk from a mall. Thank you all over there, looking forward to seeing you again if I show up again soon!

|0.75km from city centerWhere to begin. My minuscule room on the second floor. I smelled less sewage in the Paris metro. The room stinks so bad. There was no air-conditioning or any type of ventilation. And if you open the window all you could hear was noise at three in the morning from the bar that is downstairs. But you can’t complain about the bar because the family that runs the hotel runs the bar. Avoid this place at all costs. Now they did comp my room and move me to a lovely room in the courtyard and that was fine but these rooms over the bars should not even be allowed to be given to people. When I did complain they said they know it’s a problem but nobody’s doing anything to solve it so just beware. So the first night when I was in the tiny room that stunk like sewage I had to open the window but I couldn’t sleep because of the bar noise. So let me tell you about the lovely gentleman at reception. After the bar close he had a couple of girls that were hanging out in front of the hotel talking so loudly and drinking. I was sitting by the window because it was fresh air he literally pissed in the street. I am here to tell you just avoid this place. It could be so charming but it’s not. Now if you can get one of the big rooms in the courtyard I thought it was lovely. But it’s not worth risking. If you get a room over the street Run. Breakfast was also not very good. Really this is like a one star hotel. Buyer beware.

|0.22km from city centerWe explored the third Strasbourg. This hotel is very central for this. Public transport is in the immediate vicinity. Footway is also very much to reach. Our room was very spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. Each room has an individual design. The beds are comfortable. The reception is very nice. A small manco we had at breakfast: the room is a little bit small so not all guests have to find or wait. The coffee machine has stretched, bad for me. Breakfast itself was moderate. I would recommend the hotel further!

|0.44km from city centerThe location is very good, but the hygiene is not good. The room where I stayed for the first night has a taste of stool. After talking to the front desk, I will change other rooms soon, but the curtains in the room are very dusty. The equipment and design inside are completely different. Star, equivalent to 2 stars, and there is not much choice for breakfast, just some bread and cheese, all the drinks are drink machines, no hand-handed, so it is not four stars. The first night was booked in a superior room, but it did not meet the advanced room at all, and it was subject to further improvement in all aspects.

It was a late time to arrive at a single stay, so I chose it as close to Strasbourg station as much as possible, but Google Maps was a little scared to be guided through narrow and dark roads i did.
There were many shops around UberEats and it was perfect.
It was a short stay time, so it was like a very narrow business hotel in Japan and there was a feeling of cleanliness, so it was enough for me to consider it as a French hotel.
I'm sorry if there is a little memory difference because I stayed 3 months ago.

Bourse-Esplanade
Strasbourg
|0.58km from city centerWe booked this hotel as we were looking for something central and with a a garage. The place is quite nice, the position is ideal to visit La Petite France and the centre of Strasbourg. The rooms are ok, but where very small, and the service wasn't really of a 4 star hotel. When struggling getting out of the elevetor with my lagguage, the staff just watched me and didn't even try to help. We found it too expensive for what it actually is.

Strasbourg Downtown
Strasbourg
|0.23km from city centerThere are no bus lines on Google Maps and Baidu Maps. But there is TRAM. It is about 3 stops from the train station. Actually walking about 800 meters, but this ancient city is relatively quiet and it is a bit noisy to drag luggage. Hahaha
The room was great. Water, the first bottle is free. The water in the refrigerator in the back is charged, I don't know.

Quartier Européen - Orangerie
Strasbourg
|0.78km from city centerThe hotel is particularly exquisite, and the room is equipped with a small net red wind, which is beautiful. There are also hot water bottles, hair dryers, and clothes hangers. The room is designed with double doors, which is safe and soundproof.
The room-service of this hotel is unique. You must take the roomservice menu on the table and go downstairs to find the staff on duty at the front desk and ask them to recommend dishes to you. I ate two dinners and one breakfast in the room, and I was not disappointed [Much better than the central restaurant, and very cheap] In addition to the staple food, I also ordered wine and dessert. The two dinners totaled only 34 euros. [Central’s poor stew dinner cost me 30 euros]
I heard the staff say that this is a family hotel, and the people who are in charge of managing the cooking are all family members. There are only five people. Two cleaning aunts have also worked here for more than 15 years. All the service staff have a very good service attitude. The organization atmosphere is very retro and stable.
The hotel can accommodate an extra bed, I remember 10 euros per person; it is suitable for parents with children; the breakfast is quite satisfactory, and the experience is still very good; the hotel is located very close to the city center, I walked to the cathedral and the square during the day without looking at the map at night Can remember the way.
Next time, for this hotel, I will bring friends to go there again and experience a delicious meal in a double room~

Strasbourg Train Station
Strasbourg
|0.85km from city centerBED BUGS WARNING !!! BEDBUGS The Hotel Ibis Hotel Budget Strasbourg Centre is conveniently located a short walk from the impressive Strasbourg train station. We arrived in the evening, and booked an affordable room from the street in front of the hotel (I think we might have even used their wi-fi). It seemed like a clean and affordable hotel with convenient nearby parking for our short road trip through the beautiful German and French countryside. When we got into the room, we quickly noticed a small bed bug trapped in a water glass of all places. While I am fine with budget hotels and basic amenities, I don’t have patience for bedbugs. IFKYK, these pesky insects can take weeks to get rid of, and one small egg or bug can cause a whole house infestation. Since we were only in the hotel room for less than 3 minutes and only booked the room a few moments before, we thought we could easily get a refund and just part ways. The hotel wouldn’t be out any money as they didn’t hold a reservation until we arrived, and the room was literally empty just before we arrived. WRONG. When we discreetly told the friendly receptionist about the bedbug, he wasn’t shocked or surprised at all, which was the first red flag. He let us know that he wasn’t authorized to refund the charge, and would need approval from his Manager who would be at the desk in the morning and could email us with an update. PERFECT, except that never happened. We didn’t receive an email, and after emailing the hotel numerous times, we were ignored, brushed off, discredited, and ultimately denied a refund based on a variety of irrelevant excuses. After many back and forth emails, we didn’t get anywhere or resolve anything, which we thought was a shame for such a reasonable concern and simple solution. SUMMARY: Great location and cheap price but be warned if you want to spend the whole night itching and scratching thinking about bedbugs, or deal with treating all your clothes on high heat and spraying your home with nasty chemicals when you return home, you get what you pay for here. A very disappointing end to an overall fabulous trip. Happy travelling!
