I booked a single room with private external bathroom for an unbeatable price. The hotel is located in the center, 10 mins from the train station, 2 mins from the beachfront promenade. Upon arrival a girl checked me in and showed me the room. The hotel is in a residential building, from the lobby and breakfast room you should go out to the common staircase and the rooms are located in a closed corridor on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. I felt very safe. The room was basic but new, nicely decorated, very clean and looked like exactly as on the photos. There is no AC but I was aware and in the beginning of June it was not an issue. Forget wifi, never worked when I tried. Also if you are a light sleeper or go to bed early, prepare hearing neighbor conversations from the other rooms. My only suggestion for the owners regarding the rooms to add a bedside table lamp, that was the only thing I missed. The external bathroom was just 3 steps from the door of my room, it was also very very clean, though it may have seen better days. A bit dated atmosphere and the shower door is broken, I don't get why not they fix it. The breakfast was okay: bread, rolls, focaccia, ham, cheese and pastries. Coffee or tea comes for your order. I was pretty satisfied with the breakfast though one day the ham and cheese tray wasn't refilled. I don't have any experience regarding staff or customer service since no one tried to communicate with me or did any effort to ask me if everything is fine or something. I guess it's because the language issue. Overall I had a nice stay, for this money you can't find anything with nice rooms in town especially with a breakfast. I would definitely stay here again! :)

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days in August 2018. It was an overall awful experience since the beginning. As soon as I arrived at the hotel I was told that they had to swap my room with another one which wasn't A/C cooled, even if I EXPLICITLY asked for a room with A/C. I overlooked that since they offered me a discount on check out, which they actually didn't deliver. The room was absolutely DREADFUL: I think that the last time they renewed this building was eventually in the 1960s because everything screams OLD and CRUMMY-LOOKING. The morning after my check-in, I woke up on time for breakfast and I arrived in the dining room only 10 minutes after breakfast’s start time and yet I was told that I was late and they couldn't serve me breakfast. At this point, I was tired of being teased as if I was a totally stupid person, which I'm not. I asked for a partial refund and I told them that I was going to leave in the afternoon. They refused to give me a full refund, so I asked if they could, at least, refund me the missing 4 days, and they blatantly disagreed. I had to contact Booking.com to solve that problem, which never happened to me before. It was a totally bad experience and I advise any clever person to ABSOLUTELY avoid this hotel.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station and a ten minute walk to the beach. The swimming pool is small but very clean and usually quiet. It is a very family-friendly hotel with a special time at the pool for children around 5pm. We were able to rent bikes there and the rooms are very clean. It is an unusual building as it was a convent but this adds to the charm. There is air-conditioning in the rooms. It is close to the station so you can hear trains sometimes. However when windows are shut this is not a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Superb location, close to nice restaurants, cafes and shops. Stone throw away from the beach. We stayed in room 2 with private garden, which was great. The internet router needs an improvement because the signal is dodgy, yet the internet is actually fast when close to the router.

I stayed in this hotel for 8 days on a vacation/work trip. It's needless to say that the stay was fantastic. The hotel is owned by a family who's running it since the early 90s and has accumulated a ton of experience. They are very kind to their customers and they seem to care a lot about the quality of the stay, especially from a stranger's viewpoint. I was staying there alone but I asked for a double-bed room anyway so that I would have felt a little bit more comfortable when sleeping. The room was very clean and it was large enough to comfortably fit all my travel gear. Also, the kitchen quality is very high, and the hotel's chef-prepared meals were always fantastic and well balanced. There's also a 24/7 reception/bar service and the hotel is equipped with a pretty fast Free WiFi connection that was good enough to stream HD content from Netflix. The hotel provides a free bike room to stow bikes in a secure place and a basement garage, which is paid and offers 6 places for the hotel's customers. The building offers an internal garden equipped with tables and a garden umbrella, a small dehors in front of the main entrance and panoramic rooftop. Also, the price for an 8-day stay was very honest considering the quality of the service and the kindness of the hotel's personnel. Good work!
