Where do I begin? Travelling with a toddler is no easy task, and the team at Taj Connemara made it worthwhile, smooth, and exciting. It all began with Ms Jasmine who religiously followed up with all our requests and requirements for childproofing the Heritage Room we stayed. From additional mineral water bottles, bumpers on furniture, soft toys for bath, and an excellent baby cot, Ms Jasmine coordinated with her ground team and got everything ready before we checked in. The icing on the cake was the remarkable welcome gift for our daughter consisting of excellent baby skincare products from an established brand.  The stay itself was fantastic with a cosy room, abundance of toiletries, and exceptional breakfast. Shoutout to Mr Baskaran for attending to all our breakfast requests for our daughter. The baby dosa was a hit!  Located in a prime spot in Chennai next to Spencer Plaza and the newer EA Mall, Taj Connemara is strategic. Travel to major shopping centres and traditional clothing stores was made easy.  Last but not least, the hospitality and polite service offered by the staff of Taj Connemara was nothing short of amazing. The apartment is very convenient, it may take a long time to build and the facilities are not very new. The service staff is very enthusiastic, helping to get luggage, deliver things, check in and check out quickly. The restaurant is on the first floor, and the taste from the lobby to the entrance of the restaurant is too Indian. Breakfast is ok, because I usually only make oat milk, I do n’t eat Indian meals and do n’t comment on the taste. The service attitude is very good and very welcoming. The emphasis is on exaggerating the Asian restaurants in the same courtyard. The names are shown in the picture. The environment is very good. Recommend beef and chicken wings, according to their own requirements of spicy degree, more in line with my taste. Tiramisu is fine too. Overall satisfaction.

The front office is friendly. Fast check is in check.. Security was good with Siraj, very attentive to checking, felt safe. Breakfast was not too bad, can be better. The egg specials were very good. Housekeeping guys were polite and good at their work, too. Besides that, they have kept the rooms very clean and tidy. They provide water in refill bottles, like their sustainability efforts around the hotel. With construction nearby, the room remained silent. In room dining is tasty. Tours can be arranged for a good price. Value for money. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

We felt super welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we alighted our transport from the airport. The staff were all pleasant and warm, making the stay really comfortable and cosy. Room was comfortably sized and clean, toilet was also clean. There were many channels to watch on the TV. Breakfast was great, we especially loved the live stations where we can order dosa and scrambled eggs. Loved the chai.  Our room was also facing the river and we could raptor watch quite close from our window! Super exciting watching Black Kites swooping around.  The only down side is that soundproofing wasn’t the best and amenities look a little aged, but we aren’t too bothered and still enjoyed our stay. Thank you Radisson front desk and housekeeping staff!

Location: Excellent Facilities: Good Service: Unsatisfactory 1. There was no one to greet us upon arrival 2. Our suitcases were unattended and we had to carry them to our room ourselves. 3. Mosquitoes everywhere. 4. We had to request for mosquito repellent. The hotel staff should be more attentive and ensure rooms are stocked with essentials. 5. The food we ordered for in-room dining was not even warm (forget hot food). We only ordered some fries and a sandwich - not sure if the fries were prepared and shipped from France 😂 Will never opt this place again.

The bedding, floor, and the room in general were clean. The location was also very close to the bustling downtown area. As a beer lover, I appreciated having an alcohol store nearby. The downsides were that the water wasn't hot, only lukewarm, the sink drainpipe was detached and leaked directly onto the floor, and there was no shower. However, Chennai in May is scorching, so I didn't mind the lukewarm water at all. Overall, I'm satisfied!

The location is perfect, close to OMR, ECR, and easy access to city. The hotel is immaculate with beautiful aroma while entering. The rooms are really large 484ft². If you are smokers, you would need to upgrade to a balcony room as the property is a non-smoking environment. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the sheets are perfect. Each room has a comfortable couch for a work station. The kitchenette is available to use at an additional 3000 inr extra. The dishwasher is available for use. Bathroom is very spacious, and not to mention TAJ Soaps.. Pool, Gymnasium, steam and sauna are complimentary.

I stayed at the hotel from 29 May 2026 to 7 Jun 2026. Except for an unpleasant encounter with the gym staff who tailed me from the gym to the sauna/changing area on 1 Jun, I was always greeted with a bright smile and respect from the moment I set foot at the front entrance until I entered my room. I would particularly like to commend the doormen Ilayarajah, Yuvi and Loganathan, the catering team John and his team members Subbu, Suresh, Siva and Vinoth as well as Venkat and his concierge team. Regarding the gym incident, I was visiting birding sites for my Chennai trip so had to carry a big backpack for my Sony camera and sufficient water supply for the very warm weather. On the above-mentioned day, I had returned a little earlier in the evening and headed straight to the gym in my birding gear. I was annoyed when the gym staff tailed me to the sauna area and left to tell the Guest Relations Staff at the Lobby.

We congratulate Leela for having such brilliant staff! That's what makes the hotel stands out from other high end competitors. Even though the hotel was fully booked and very busy at the time, we were warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped down from the car. The gentleman who checked us in, Mr. Shantanu, Ms. Supra at Concierge, Nayansi, the manager at the India Restaurant... and many more whose name we were unable to remember, made us feel like some sort of noble or important persons, and all that was done from the bottom of their heart with genuine warmness...we use to stay at Peninsular, Four Seasons, Aman and the like when we went on holidays. They are not available in Chennai but we must say Leela offers even better services than our usual choices. The hotel itself is very well-maintained and classy. The pool is resort-feel even though it is in the city. The free spa facilities are very generous with many indoor jacuzzi, suana and herbal steam. We are very impressed. Thank you for ending our Easter holidays in South India perfectly!!

Overall, I had a good stay, as I usually do at this hotel. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Most of the staff were warm, professional, and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. A special shoutout to Vijay, who always checks in to make sure everything is going well. He always has great recommendations on places to visit and genuinely makes guests feel welcome. There were a couple of issues this time that made my stay slightly disappointing. Our room key cards stopped working a few times during the stay. The staff resolved the issue quickly each time, but it was still inconvenient having to head back to the front desk after a long day out. The biggest issue we had was with room service, when I ordered tea and found a fly in it. While the staff eventually waived the charges for the entire meal, the service recovery could have been handled much better. The following day, I developed food poisoning and was violently ill for the next week. While I can’t say for certain it was related, the timing after the fly incident left me slightly concerned about the food hygiene standards. I hope these were isolated incidents, as I’ve generally had very positive stays here and would still consider returning the next time I’m in India.

Returning to this location after eight years, I was hoping for the same 5star experience I once enjoyed. Unfortunately, it’s not quite what it used to be, and the property is beginning to show its age. On a positive note, the staff were warm and courteous throughout—from the reception to the restaurant team. Their professionalism and friendliness was a highlight of the stay. The restaurant manager Nazim was helpful. However, the room was disappointing. Upon entering, there was a strong musty odor. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told all the rooms have this smell and that it would dissipate in about 10 minutes—but unfortunately, it lingered. It seems guests may simply become accustomed to it over time. Not me.. lol. The Colony restaurant offered a decent breakfast, though dinner not that much. It felt overcrowded and cramped, and the buffet menu was not the greatest, with food quality was just average. The key strengths of this location remain its convenient setting, friendly staff, and ample parking. With some updates and improvements, it could once again live up to its former reputation.

Additionally, the hotel's rooftop restaurant boasts a fantastic ambiance and serves a selection of Asian dishes. While some might not be entirely authentic (for instance, the Tom Yum Goong shown in the picture wasn't a perfect balance of sour, spicy, and salty, with the salty flavor being more prominent), I believe these are adjustments made to cater to local preferences, such as increasing the salt content in dishes to compensate for the hot weather and increased perspiration.

We had a lovely stay here for 3 days in the suite. Nice big room with a nice pool and friendly staff. Only negative(which was a big one) was an event was on with loud music and base and we were directly underneath it. Despite complaints form and apologies and staff trying to ask the DJ to turn down the bass of the music ( it was shaking the room) it really spoiled our stay as the kids (and us) couldn’t sleep until it finished at 11pm! In future please don’t put families (or anyone) in there suit on floor 7 if there is an event booking above their heads!

My stay began on a disappointing note. I arrived at the lobby on a Sunday afternoon and waited nearly 40 minutes before anyone attended to me. Although I was clearly in line, a couple of other guests approached the desk and were assisted before me. I expected the concierge or front-desk staff to notice the situation and assist guests in the order they arrived, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Once I was finally checked in, I was assigned a room on the fourth floor. The room itself was acceptable. I generally do not have particularly high expectations regarding hotel-room ambience, as I find that it often does not vary significantly across hotels, regardless of their star rating. What I found especially unreasonable was the hotel’s pricing. Items available in the room, such as a Snickers bar priced at ₹155 and a packet of Lay’s priced at ₹55, ***** with peanuts and carbonated drinks, were listed at several times their normal retail prices. The markup was so excessive that it made me wonder whether the hotel actually wanted guests to consume these items or was simply trying to impose an unnecessary and inflated expense. The same applied to transportation. The hotel quoted ₹1,800 plus taxes for a sedan to the airport. I booked an Uber for the exact same journey for ₹699. Charging well over twice the market price—and then adding taxes on top of it—is frankly absurd. Hotel convenience may reasonably come at a premium, but this felt less like a premium service and more like an attempt to take advantage of guests. The complimentary breakfast, however, offered a wide variety of options and was probably the most redeeming part of the stay.

To be honest, everything was awesome. I liked how brightly lit the room is and it just makes it even cleaner and comfy. The staff are attentive and responsive, always ready to assist and serve. The only misfortune was that insects gathered all over my closet wall on the 2nd day. However, the housekeeping team was swift to come over and clean the closet at 9pm when I reported it, changing my bedsheet as well and even offered me a change of room. Overall, I would still choose this hotel the next time that I’m back in Chennai. They have the comfort and service nailed down and handles problem professionally with satisfactory response.

Stayed 4 nights at The Residency Towers, Chennai early May 2026. Hotel looks grand and clean. Very convenient location if you are a shopper! 'Off' pick drive to International airport about 20 mins. Staff are very kind, polite and helpful. Staff at main door entrance always greet with a smile and are willing to collect your luggages. Breakfast spread with commendable! Many options from South Indian (fresh and on the spot) made dosa, roti, Mediterranean food staple like hummus, pita bread, healthy sandwiches, juices, filter coffee! pastries, cakes, porridge.. more than one can ask for! Special mention about Mr Deeraj. Deeraj made every effort to make my stay memorable after I had issues in the first room assigned to me. Dheeraj personal inspected the next room and assured to make my stay a good one, and he definitely did! Dheeraj visited me in the restaurant to speak to me personally about my dissatisfaction about the first room which is very commendable in ensuring guests are well taken care of. Dheeraj even gave me an upgrade! which was very kind of him. Another mention is Anand who collected my luggages. He was on full spring and energy in his work! He has very good working etiquette. Another shout out to Krish and Ashwin from the restaurant! They were very sweet and friendly to make our mealtimes enjoyable and their lightheartedness full of spirit really made my day! Myself and my husband had a truly wonderful time at The Residency Towers, Chennai! We will surely return. My only comment is, I expected all rooms to have been updated and renovated as advertised on their website, but unfortunately only couple of floors.

The interior of the hotel is very nice. The only inconvenience is to have to pass your luggage through the metal detector every time you enter but I understand it is for everyone's safety so it is also a plus. The rooms were clean and elegant. I wished the water bottles they prepared in the rooms were plastic instead of glass. But overall highly recommended for business travel use as it is close to the airport.

MYGuest UserWhere do I begin? Travelling with a toddler is no easy task, and the team at Taj Connemara made it worthwhile, smooth, and exciting. It all began with Ms Jasmine who religiously followed up with all our requests and requirements for childproofing the Heritage Room we stayed. From additional mineral water bottles, bumpers on furniture, soft toys for bath, and an excellent baby cot, Ms Jasmine coordinated with her ground team and got everything ready before we checked in. The icing on the cake was the remarkable welcome gift for our daughter consisting of excellent baby skincare products from an established brand.  The stay itself was fantastic with a cosy room, abundance of toiletries, and exceptional breakfast. Stayed 4 nights at The Residency Towers, Chennai early May 2026. Hotel looks grand and clean. Very convenient location if you are a shopper! 'Off' pick drive to International airport about 20 mins. Staff are very kind, polite and helpful. Staff at main door entrance always greet with a smile and are willing to collect your luggages. Breakfast spread with commendable! Many options from South Indian (fresh and on the spot) made dosa, roti, Mediterranean food staple like hummus, pita bread, healthy sandwiches, juices, filter coffee! pastries, cakes, porridge.. more than one can ask for! Special mention about Mr Deeraj. Deeraj made every effort to make my stay memorable after I had issues in the first room assigned to me. Dheeraj personal inspected the next room and assured to make my stay a good one, and he definitely did! Dheeraj visited me in the restaurant to speak to me personally about my dissatisfaction about the first room which is very commendable in ensuring guests are well taken care of. Dheeraj even gave me an upgrade! which was very kind of him. Another mention is Anand who collected my luggages. He was on full spring and energy in his work! He has very good working etiquette. Another shout out to Krish and Ashwin from the restaurant! They were very sweet and friendly to make our mealtimes enjoyable and their lightheartedness full of spirit really made my day! Myself and my husband had a truly wonderful time at The Residency Towers, Chennai! We will surely return. My only comment is, I expected all rooms to have been updated and renovated as advertised on their website, but unfortunately only couple of floors.

The staff provided excellent service, explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. A great bonus for environmentally conscious guests is the reusable glass water bottles provided in the rooms – a commendable effort to reduce plastic waste in the hospitality industry. The hotel's buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and good quality food, ensuring even non-local guests (whose bodies might not be accustomed to Indian cuisine for every meal) can enjoy their dining experience with various cuisines available. Additionally, the hotel's rooftop restaurant boasts a fantastic ambiance and serves a selection of Asian dishes. While some might not be entirely authentic (for instance, the Tom Yum Goong shown in the picture wasn't a perfect balance of sour, spicy, and salty, with the salty flavor being more prominent), I believe these are adjustments made to cater to local preferences, such as increasing the salt content in dishes to compensate for the hot weather and increased perspiration.

Its such very peaceful place and great environment, the sus chef mr anand was very helpful and kind to us , the Manager ajith  also helped us alot , such a great team . Opinion-  1.please change the bunk bed otherwise everything was good . 2. The payment method please give us cash option cause we foreigner can’t use g-pay (*we forget our card )but the manager helped us to settle the issue  Thank you Marriot Team 🙌🏻💯
