Vaccinations

Passengers aged 18 years and older must hold proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 prior to travel.

Passengers will be considered fully vaccinated against Covid-19 if they meet one of the following requirements:

  1. 2 weeks have passed since receiving a 1-dose accepted vaccine (CanSino Biologics, Johnson and Johnson);
  2. 2 weeks have passed since receiving the second dose of a 2-dose accepted vaccine (AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac);
  3. 2 weeks have passed since receiving the full series of an active (not placebo) accepted Covid-19 vaccine in clinical trials (Medicago); or
  4. 2 weeks have passed since receiving 2 doses of any 'mix-and-match' combination of the above accepted vaccines administered at least 17 days apart.

Vaccines must be accepted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Please note that the Sputnik vaccine is not accepted.

The requirement to hold proof of vaccination does not apply to nationals and lawful permanent residents of the United States.

The requirement to hold proof of vaccination also does not apply to the following passengers, provided they hold an Excepted Covered Individual Attestation:

  1. Passengers travelling for diplomatic and official foreign government travel, provided holding an official letter from the U.S. or a foreign government;
  2. Passengers who hold a documented medical contraindication to receiving a Covid-19 vaccine;
  3. Passengers participating in certain Covid-19 vaccine trials;
  4. Passengers travelling for humanitarian or emergency reasons;
  5. Passengers who hold a valid visa (excluding B-1 business or B-2 tourism visas) travelling from a country with limited Covid-19 vaccine availability;
  6. Members of the U.S. Armed Forces or their spouses or children (aged younger than 18 years);
  7. Sea crew members who hold a C-1 and D non-immigrant visa and an official letter from the employer indicating the passenger is required for the operation of a vessel that will depart from a U.S. seaport, or is on return travel after disembarking the vessel consistent with their visa and official letter; or
  8. Passengers whose entry would be in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, Secretary of Transportation, or Secretary of Homeland Security (or their designees), provided they hold an official U.S. government letter.

The requirement to hold proof of vaccination also does not apply to refugees.

COVID-19 Testing

Passengers are advised to undergo a viral Covid-19 test between 3-5 days after arrival.

This does not apply to passengers who have recovered from Covid-19 within 90 days prior to arrival.

Forms and Visas

Passengers aged 2 years and older must complete and present the Passenger Disclosure and Attestation to the United States of America form prior to boarding. A parent or other authorised person should complete the form on behalf of a passenger younger than 18 years old or who is unable sign their own attestation (due to physical or mental impairment).
