The hotel is perfectly located next to the Central Station and at the edge of the shopping centre. In the lobby you can work and take a cup of free tea or coffee. The staff is young and informal. The rooms are not large, but a good bed and bathroom. Unfortunately, we find the death sin for each hotel room: a bottle of gliding from previous guests under the bed. Although the room was not dirty, this is of course a point of attention.

This hotel was clean, cheap and cheerful and was perfect for our one night stay. The bed was very comfortable and our room impeccably cleaned. Check in was easy. Breakfast was basic, more continental than cooked. But nonetheless, something for everyone.

We were in Arnhem from 25 th to 31st of August to drop our daughter into Arnhem business school - we stayed here during the time. It’s private and cozy and very friendly staff with a small resturant serving nice food and drinks right next to the hotel. Staff helped us getting taxis and also refunded the 3 day money when we decided to check out earlier. A few things that were not upto mark : the duplex studio was very nicely designed but was too small with very steep stairs ( if you have knee issues or someone who is travelling with a LB elderly Check this part beforehand ) Being an apartment and not a hotel there is not reception or round the clock service. Another important point is there is no UBER in Arnhem and getting a taxi to go around is a far more difficult task than one is used to in cities.

What a surprise! Hotel Papendal is basically the accommodation wing of the Dutch Olympic Association’s headquarters and training facility. Situated in quiet woodland a short drive from Arnhem and Oosterbeek, the bedrooms are very basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a bar onsite that serves simple snacks and meals, or you can venture out to Arnhem. Breakfast is AMAZING - high quality, and lots of choice in very smart self service restaurant. Fantastic hotel. Excellent location for motorway, Arnhem and neighbouring villages. Beautiful woodland setting. Lovely staff Superb room, spacious with super bathroom and access to balcony . Wonderful breakfast which is very good value. Restaurant a little overpriced. Dog friendly.

We stayed here for four nights combining bicycle touring and seeing friends. The hotel has a secure place to leave bicycles and plenty to borrow too. It's a short cycle from Arnhem (hilly for the Netherlands and a short section is in the dark forest with no street lighting). It's a short cycle to Hoge Veluwe and Veluwezoom national parks which are excellent for cycling and hiking. There are hikes in the forest the hotel lies in, and it is a beautiful setting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really helpful with practical arrangements. Our room (8) was clean and comfortable and very spacious with a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom was in the room (toilet separate). Dinner is amazing here - we had the La Belle Source menu twice and the brassiere once. They catered well for vegetarians and the matching wines were well chosen by a friendly and experienced sommelier. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok - it's all buffet and it huge choice is a little underwhelming after such good dinners and got very busy at times. This was the only disappointment we had with this lovely hotel. Overall a great stay, good value for money and we would highly recommend it to others.

The layout of the room we stayed in was very unreasonable. It looked quite big. There was no place to let go. After two days of heating, the heating was not warm. They responded to the front desk of four shifts. Everyone’s attitude was not bad. No one has solved the problem, and some people have said to me, ”I don't feel cold, how can you be cold?”... You are Iron Man, I am probably a normal human, because I feel cold at 4 degrees...

The view of the hotel is absolutely perfect, all rooms can see the Rhine There is not much luggage to get out of the train station, a straight line will arrive, and the Rhine can be seen along the road. Arnhem doesn't have Uber, but buses are also very frequent. The hotel sign is very clear and can be found using the navigation that comes with Apple. The most important thing is that the hotel's service attitude is very good, English is also very good, and the girl is also beautiful. The breakfast is a little bit worse. The overall feeling of the accommodation is very good. The old building is behind the train. But the windows are very soundproof. I will come back next time. It is convenient to go around, about 1.5 km from Cologne and 15 minutes walk.
