This hotel is located near a quiet residential area which is perhaps good if you need some peace and quiet but I didn’t like it because there were no shops, cafes, restaurants or any sort of entertainment within walking distance. So basically you have to drive if you need anything. On the plus side there are many free parking space around the residential area near the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable enough but they didn’t even provide a water boiler or any free tea/coffee. I only found out later that you need to book a much more expensive room if you wanted those facilities. I find that kind of unacceptable as this is a 4 star hotel and those are very basic facilities. It was autumn but somehow the room was really hot even though the heating was off. There was no temperature controller in the room. At night it gets colder but the blankets provided are winter blankets so it’s hot if you use the blanket and cold if you don’t use it. They have free internet connection in the room which is of average quality. If I have anything to recommend it would be the breakfast area and food selection. They have a large breakfast area which is good as during the times I was there it was always kind of packed. There is also a nice seating area outside if you prefer to seat outside. The food variety is really good and they have many healthy choices. Staff are friendly and also this hotel is environmentally friendly so if you don’t choose to clean your room you get a little gift (for me it was a pack of gummi bears). Overall for the price and for a short stay it was okay, but nothing special for me. I would give 3.5 stars out of 5 if there was that option.

This is the most ordinary hotel. No exquisite. Located far from the city center. Walking is far away. But you can get on the tram № 16, whose stop is literally behind the corner! There is a beautiful supermarket in the yard of the hotel. But imagine when I was resting there, the supermarket was closed for repair! And the value of the hotel fell by times because the nearest normal store was 20 minutes walk. The room I got was small, precisely small. but it had everything it needed except the refrigerator. Very good that there was an electric teapot and tea! The window went out into the yard so I didn't hear any noise. Breakfast is quite normal, but I missed fruit. They were, but they were few. It was necessary to "save" in the fruit shop, which our friends from China and which is also in the yard of the hotel. And it worked! And it is perfect! I don't know how much breakfast is worth in the hotel ...? Maybe it makes sense not to take it and buy everything in the supermarket, bakery and fruit shop in the yard. The hotel staff was polite and personally helped me with a solution to one important question for me. The hotel is quite normal, although there are hotels in Leipzig and better, but also more expensive ...

We stayed here for a couple of nights in October and were pleased we did. The room was all that we needed for our quick trip to lovely Leipzig. Positioned on the perimeter of the city's core just across Trondlinring, it was ideal. The service super friendly at the front desk, nothing was a problem. The breakfast, again, all that we wanted. Room rate reasonable. Positioned just 5 minutes walk from the rail station made it even better for us. Would stay here again.

We stayed the the Ibis Budget Leipzig City hotel during our trip to visit the Christkindlmarkt and other sights in Leipzig. We chose the hotel because it is easy walking distance from the train station and center of the city. Our room was clean, combining a lot into the small space including the shower and sink in the main room. It also had a queen-size bed with bunk bed above it. The toilet was in a separate room. While I found the arrangement a bit unusual, it worked. Breakfast was very crowded on the weekend, but on the one weekday we were there. Though I prefer smaller and more homey accommodations, this was a good and safe choice for our first visit to Leipzig.

Hotel is beside the train station, very convenient with shops and restaurants within the station. Check-in process was slow even though I have completed my online check-in 1 day in advance using the link provided, staff had some difficult time locating my booking. Other than that, the experience is flawless with comfortable room, strong shower, good wifi and decent breakfast for a budget hotel. Overall this is a very value for money stay.

Leipzig City Center
We had a 5 day stay in this hotel in August 2020 whilst seeing friends in Leipzig and I have to say we enjoyed it. It is a city centre hotel - a typical Radisson Hotel building as you can see from the many published photographs. Our reception was friendly and the staff spoke English well - quite unusual for this part of the old East Germany. You have to wear a Covid Face mask (during the pandemic) in all public areas except the restaurant and bar but this was not much of an inconvenience at all. The Covid mask rules are very similar to the UK’s regulations generally although social distancing is not as strictly enforced. The hotel was packed with German tourists at the weekend but was a lot quieter during the week - we did not see or hear any other British people anywhere in Leipzig because (a) the city is not very high on the UK tourist agenda and also (b) the British fear of travel durning “the pandemic”. They don’t seem to have any in-house leisure facilities - no gym, spa or pool but our trip to Leipzig was not that sort of holiday anyway. There is also no business centre and I did miss that, having to ask my friends for printing services. Despite the Covid crisis and unlike the super careful British approach, the hotel provide full room service - fresh linen, towels and all the usual amenities, including dressing gowns and slippers. Some of the housekeeping was a bit lax - dirty towels left in the bathroom, glasses not washed etc but a quiet word with Management sorted this out and there were no more problems. We used their restaurant for the buffet breakfast (a full buffet, unlike in the paranoid British hotels) and while it was acceptable, there were weaknesses notably the absence of warm plates (a pet hate of mine), the absence of decent tea (the Germans drink coffee almost exclusively) and a failure to properly cook bacon (floppy and semi raw on the buffet). Some of the coffee flasks were also lukewarm but we warmed ours up with hot water from the dispenser so all was well. We didn’t use the restaurant in the evening, as we went out with our friends, so we cannot comment other than to say it didn’t seem to be very popular. There are literally hundreds of good restaurants a stone’s throw from the hotel if needed. Our room 405 was a Junior Suite as on the floor plan, Like all Radisson’s, a Junior Suite is really a large room with a divider - see my photographs. It was clean and fresh and the Wireless internet was free and quite fast. The air conditioner was, however, not up to scratch and seemed to battle with the ambient heat. Despite raising this with staff, we could not get ours to drop below 22 degrees C. That made sleeping a bit unpleasant. Despite the minor problems, it was a good stay and far from overpriced - we would recommend this place for a short break, if you happen to be traveling to Leipzig.

Nice hotel with a small bar and breakfast area, rooms are small but excellent, very modern, great storage, safe and bathroom is excellent with a great shower. Only issue was room was near front of main road so some nights the noise from the main road, cars and teams but overall a excellent hotel but no gym, pool or sauna. Have to mention beds, in this hotel there were very good apart from pillows but some hotels in Leipzig are very weird with small square pillows, one off and a small single quilt on a double bed.

I booked a night at this hotel as it was the best available value for a single room in Leipzig during my visit. Room was very spacious and comfortable and most importantly clean. The hotel is very much old style and quaint. Breakfast buffet was good, but very much continental. The hotel is located in the Connewitz suburb, it was roughly an hour walk from Central station. The reception area seemed to be manned by a gentleman who was doubling as a waiter in the adjoining restaurant, so there was no permanent prescence at reception. It wasn't a problem as I was given a key for the front door. It wasn't central and it wasn't modern, but overall it was a pleasant stay. The Number 11 or 9 tram will get you into town in about 15 minutes, which for some reason is not available in Google Maps. The adjoining streets were quite dimly lit coming back at night but I didn't encounter any trouble. Overall a good budget stay if you don't mind staying on the outskirts of town.

The Sachsenpark Hotel at the Leipzig Messe can point with its direct motorway connection. The windows are soundproof enough to not disturb the traffic on the neighbouring A14. The house has certainly been on the buckle for a few years, what you look at him here and there. In total, however, good 4-Sterne-Niveau. Unfortunately, because of the short stay I could not use all the possibilities of the hotel - especially corona-restricted. Maybe at the next visit :-)

We were staying just for 1 night. We are a family of 4. I was very unpleasantly surprised when I found out that the beds for the children were not made! This never happened to me before!!! They knew we were coming with 2 children and still they had the beds not ready! Breakfast was OVERCROWDED!!! That was another shock!!! By the time you got yourself the pancakes your coffee got cold or by the time you got yourself the coffee your pancakes would get cold because there were so many people!!! It was so loud!! One good thing was that the pancakes were good but the coffee from the maschine was horrible and the filtred coffee far from strong enough. The room was NOT TOO BAD and it was clean but there was lots of noise coming from the street. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE BIG EXPECTATIONS. Another good thing is the baggage storage in a hotel. Moneywise I think they ask alot!!! Not worth it the money. If you have no other option it's ok but I wouldn't want to stay there again!!!

The hotel is situated in a beautiful old building in the center of Leipzig. We took the standard room which was very elegant and comfortable. Nice view from the windows. More than big enough for 2 adults and a child. We didn’t hear any other guests even though the hotel was quite full. Shower was exquisite. Ordered room service which came quickly and was tasty. Breakfast is very delicious but not a buffet (due to covid), so that means you have to order what you want which was slightly tedious as they seemed a little understaffed. That was really the only slight negative. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend!

I have just returned to England after a six night stay in Germany, based at this hotel. I wanted somewhere which was itself in an interesting city but which was also well situated for my day trips by train to other cities and towns in the region. The Premier Inn in Leipzig perfectly matched my requirements! It is located on one flank of Leipzig’s Altstadt / old town, which is fascinating and atmospheric; just the best balance of a rich variety of distinctive building styles but definitely a ‘real’ place where people live, work and enjoy themselves. At the same time, the hotel also happens to be only a three minute walk from Leipzig’s railway station…..and Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, said to be the largest terminus station in Europe, is an attraction in its own right! As well as efficiently doing what it says on the tin, it also contains a wonderful two level shopping mall. From the station I easily made my day trips to Dresden, Halle, Dessau and a small town called Schipkau. But what about the hotel? It is excellent. All the staff I encountered, ….reception, housekeeping and catering were friendly, helpful and very accomplished. My room was spacious and well furnished and it was cleaned every day! The double headed, walk-in shower was splendid. The public areas of the hotel were impressive and a high quality buffet breakfast was well priced and set me up well for my days out.

Stayed here in Feb 2022. Excellent value for the price. Very friendly people, super location to access Leipzig. Entry in the evening only with your room key, so safe. Clean everywhere. Although it is next to the train station, it is in a direction in which there are no bars for restaurants- so there are no rowdy crowds passing by in the evening. I parked at the Hbf for €5 or 6 daily; from there it is a 2-minute walk, if that, to the hotel. I did not take the breakfast but it looked good. I will most definitely stay here again. Oh yeah, fantastic water pressure from the shower, and the water was warm immediately.

Its not often that I come away from a slightly tired, noisy hotel feeling good about my stay. And Victor's is a bit tired: probably exhausted by its proximity to endless traffic, and the days we stayed it was pretty hot. But the truth is that the staff bent over backwards trying to accomodate our request for relief from our hot room, and for a few extra euros located us in a Junior suite in the back of the hotel. They made up for any difficulties we encountered. The hotel is noisy and yes, if there's a heatwave, it's hot (welcome to Europe, no air-con). But it's incredibly close to everything, the breakfast is fabulous and the staff members are well-trained and incredibly helpful. If you want to be looked after, go to Victor's.

This hotel is a clean and modern hotel with essential amenities for guests. The hotel is very convenienty located for train travelers and users of public transportion to visit various attractions of the city. When we arrived at Leipzig Hauptbahnhof by train, we walked out of the front entrance/exit of the station. From the front entrance/exit, we could see the rooftop sign of the hotel across the plaza at 11 O’clock direction. When we entered the hotel and went to the front desk, we were greeted by friendly staff. The lobby area was clean, and was decorated in a contemporary style. Our room was also neat, and the essential amenities were in the room. The simple and contemporary style furnishings reminded us of IKEA showrooms. The climate control worked well. The bedding was comfortable, and room had good sound proofing. In our room, we found a complimentary bottle of carbonated water. When we called the front desk and asked for a still water bottle instead, the response was quick. We received a still water bottle right away. Buffet breakfast was delicious with excellent choice items. The hotel’s location was excellent, because it was located right across the train station with access to trains and S-bahn to Old Town. In my business I see a lot of hotels, and I get to compare various properties within the same family. The Marriott in Leipzig deserves to be singled out for multiple reasons. First, the hotel makes it a point to recognize I'm coming and to treat me like they're happy to see me when I arrive. The location in the city center is one of the most picturesque I've seen, with multiple things to see and do within walking distance. One of the most spectacular train stations in Europe is right across the street! There are multiple restaurants and street venders scattered around the city center area, but if you don't want to leave the building the breakfast this hotel puts on is the best of any place I go.

The hotel has officially 3-stars, but the standard of the room, service and breakfast is almost 4-star! Bravo! The room was better, more spacious and the bathroom more convenient than those of of the 4-star Berlin Mark Hotel, which I visited some weeks ago. The location of Leipzig Best Wetsren City Centre is ideal, next to the main railway station (air terminal) and close to the Markt. The room had safe and tea/coffee facilities, but - A BIG FAULT - no fridge or mini bar!!! The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped.. There were no toileteries in the bathroom, just liquid soap and shampoo (hopefully!) The breakfast was very good and abundant (cold and hot) with lots of varieties and even fruits. The juices were of good quality (Graninni). I liked, that on every table there was the fresh rose. The most of the staff was very kind. In the time before opening the Bar (at 5 pm) they offer in the lobby fresh still and sparkling water. Very kind!

I booked very short term since my previous hotel was a whole disaster. Price performance top, online booking smoothly. Check-in smoothly, there are lockboxes for baggage if you're there earlier. The staff was also incredibly nice! The room is compact, but has everything you need (including chair, safe, luggage, etc.). Shower and toilet hid behind milk glass, the ventilation has heard something in the night. The light in the rooms was good, light enough to make, not too light if you have to stand up n/eight times. Very comfortable bed and also the bed linen was great. Not the standard 08/15 white hotel garniture, but something that feels like home :) All was very clean. Wi-Fi is running quickly. Breakfast buffet is very rich, also offers several options for vegan food (milk alternatives, Releases, etc), all self-service. Has tasted very well. From the hotel you are walking or tram very fast in the city centre, or you use the bike sharing from Leipzig Transportverbund (App: LeipzigMOVE) :-) Parking was not a problem in a sideway. All in all I am very happy to have changed to this hotel!

I chose the hotel because it is near the fair, it has breakfast and WiFi and seemed convenient at price. At check-in it was already announced that there will probably not be breakfast because of a injury to the colleague. The costs for this were not calculated for me, and there is also a tanker with "REWE to go" that offers at least snacks (prices are known for this ....). The room led a eternal way to the room, several stairs up, walks along and down stairs again (lift not everywhere, at least I didn't find it in the 2nd stairs). Then finally in the room, but: In the closet there were things from another guest! The bed appeared freshly, but on the seats, on the tape floor and on the hangs there were several white spots. The bathroom was stumpy built together, the shower bracelet was stopped at the shower, the light went out constantly, the furnace was so slightly attached that the cleaner was constantly falling out of the wall, ... The room was on the street, With closed hangs and windows you could sleep despite near highway. The promised "free high-speed WiFi" was not found, very bad connection and once you were connected, my phone was faster with 3G. I couldn't work in the hotel. The cleaning next day? In the evening the wastewater was not empty, the washing basin and the shower had still sticks, the table and the floor still krummel ... (I had already a silent assumption and therefore explicitly watched it!). At least the shower was screwed. Even after the response from the staff of the laden (the young colleague only picked up with his shoulders) there was no cleaning force next day. Then I was to the night porter (very nice!) and I asked for another room. In the new room at least the bath was apparently clean, the next morning I discovered in the kitchen still food screws from the predecessor. Also the 2. The bathroom was well, the shower was very poorly cleaned, the shower door was broken, the pipes in the bathroom were visible, etc. I didn't even notice that at the funny light (picture is with all lamps!). The furniture had slices and slips fell off when opening, also here slices on the fortress. I then left early. Location: Footway to the fair not lighted in the evening + along the highway about 15 min, to the tram about 800 m. With the tram to the city also about 15 min. Request for refund for deficiencies still stands out, I am changing the review as soon as there are news here.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly. Had dinner at hotel restaurant and really enjoyed the meal. There was plenty of free parking. Loved the room and had a great nights sleep. I would stay again. Hotel is close to Belantis theme park.

Leipzig City Center
I need to make adjustment to my trip, and I find the communication from the hotel is very clear and easy to manage. After one becomes a Melia member, the website or app allows one to make changes flexibly after logging in. The flexibility in making changes is so important during the Covid age.

We are guests multiple times (real 4 times in 2019) at Novum Hotel Am Ratsholz, since we live in Leipzig family. The apartments are large, conveniently furnished, actually very clean. There is a bedroom, a living room with additional sleeping possibility - if necessary. A table, 2 chairs, a sofa, seat, desk, TV, various lamps - all available. A small kitchenette with refrigerator, 2-Platten-Kochmfacility, washing with closet supplements the room. Wi-Fi is inclusive - but yes according to location of the apartment the connection is not provided. Parking in the surrounding area is rar, shopping opportunities are available in the house. We have already found more often that the outflows in the bathroom spread a unpleasant smell. But at our recent stay, this was an insupportable smell of cloake. Even after long water-running-lassen, the smell did not go away. You had to close the doors between bathroom, hall and living room to be able to sleep at all at night. You should really clean the outflow pipes more regularly - an insupportable condition. Unfortunately, this disgusting smell was so dominant that we are likely to look for another hotel in Leipzig in the future. After days, you still had the smell in your nose....... I was unfortunately not able to defect this at the reception because of public transport - damage ....ich was not asked, whether we felt well and were satisfied.

During our recent exploration trip accross Germany we decided to spend a night at H4 Hotel in Leipzig-Paunsdorf, Saxony. Which was a good choice and we did not regret it since we could not have made a better decision on where to stay in this eastern suburb of Leipzig. The hotel is located just five minutes away from interstate A14 that takes you south to famous Dresden in around an hour. This property with its almost 300 guestrooms meets all the binding standards of a four star hotel, welcomes guests in a spacious well-lit lobby with its imDpressively stylish design and numerous cozy sitting accomodations arranged around a fancy „fireplace“. Business clients may find some extra value in the comfy atmosphere of the hotel's private lounge on the first floor. An inviting restaurant and bar guarantee some diversion for guests with selected preferences for tasteful food and entertainment. Upon our check-in we were cordially welcomed by an extremely friendly yet professional young receptionist who definitely deserves to be kept in our good memory. Later we found out that he, Julian Held, is still a trainee but we are sure that he has a bright future in the hotel industry. We stayed in one of the clean and tidy remodelled Comfort Rooms on the 2nd floor where a perfect Queen provided pleasant rest and blissful sleep to us. An ergonomic work desk, flat screen TV, fridge, free wifi, supersilent aircondition, waterboiler and cofeemaker made our stay a more than memorable experience. Literally all staff members impressed us with their warm-hearted smiles, perceptible dedication to their mission as a calm anchor for their sophisticated clientele from around the globe. A bountiful breakfast was lovingly prepared by the hotel's sweet breakfast hostesses, all of them made our day! We also wish to thank FOM Mr Tom Schulze for his kindness to give us an informative tour of the entire property during which he also explained the reason for some ongoing construction noise originating from the upper floors where the rest of an extensive renovation program is being completed at this time. The Management deeply regret any invonvenience due to construction work but promise that this process will be finished soon. They thank all guest for their understanding and cooperation! The nessessary renovations and remodelling will definitely provide a distinct quality enhancement for everybody choosing this accomodation. H4 Hotel Leipzig is definitely a terrific place to stay when visiting Leipzig, be it for play or business! We at PHIL'S WORLD TRAVEL will happily recommend this property to our customers from overseas.
