Bed comfortable, the heater worked nicely, lots of ice, the breakfast was great with eggs and sausage and bacon. We also had a drive up room on the first floor which was very great on a rainy day. The place is clean and neat. used the guest printer.
Breakfast was delicious, great choices! The waitress that served us coffee was very welcoming with "Hola". Her approach was very professional. Her name is Yiaris, originally from Cuba. We just loved chatting with her. She is very sociable, polite, there exactly when we needed her. And she even made a paper rose for me. What a great, unexpected gesture! She has surpassed our expectations. THANK YOU to the restaurant of Best Western Plus Hotel Albert.
I stayed here for a single night with my cat while travelling from Manitoba to Nova Scotia. I never heard of the town before but it was about 10.5hours from Thunder Bay so it worked for me. I was happy to find a place and I didn't expect much but to be honest it definitely exceeded my expectations ! Location is good with gas and groceries near by. Staff was friendly and the lady spoke English. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I'd highly recommend this motel for anyone in the area.
Spent last Saturday with a girlfriend for no particular reason other then a quick girls night away. We had heard the spa was nice so thought we’d take advantage of the package and stay the night. Upon arriving we were not overly thrilled with the appearance of the outside. It appeared rather rundown and motel-ish looking with all the doors facing the side ally/driveway. When we entered it was kinda the same vibe. It appears one way online, and another in person. Unfortunately it was un kept and outdated. Rooms were nothing special either. We were excited for the spa though, as that was the real reason we had wanted to go in the first place. We were going to get the Hamman room use and hot stone massages. Basically this area consists of a steam room (which we thoroughly enjoyed and it smelled like eucalyptus which was amazing) a “cold shower” that literally is freezing cold and when you pull the cord feels like you are dumping a huge bucket of ice water on your head, this we thought was a little much. Then there was a very large hot tub and cold mist bench, and we loved those two stations very much. BUT then you are introduced to the “relaxation” room, which is basically a small bedroom, with a large couch, with pillows and blankets on it, a weird video clip of I guess what was supposed to be relaxation pictures, strange stickers on the walls, the door was open so it was loud, and over all just a weird room. You were sitting on the couch with other people who were also dripping wet from the hot tub, so it felt very unsanitary and more uncomfortable then relaxating to be honest. That room needs a serious makeover! My hot stone massage was great but my girlfriends was a joke and was really bad so that was unfortunate also. The dinner was enjoyable but also unfortunately over priced and didn’t quite meet that standard of dining. The bar tender was amazing though, and made us the yummiest drinks. Despite her language barrier she was very friendly and went out of her way to make us happy! Overall it was alright and we would go back if they were offering discounted rates or a sale but we certainly wouldn’t spend what we did this time for the same exspirience again.
Room is clean, access is good for vehicles or even snowmobiles. Be aware that a section of it, you must climb with your luggages but I'm certain you can get help. A franchise restaurant is connected to the hotel and you can access without going out and it is delicious and entertaining
