0.78km from Dr. Jean-Loup BernsteinI stayed in room called Maurius, which had the most spectacular view to the town and even the rooftop of the ancient Roman theatre, whilst facing cosy garden. So it was very quiet, yet 5min walk to the theatre. The room is efficient, has coffee making facility in the room, no tea, fridge or safe, which was absolutely no problem for me, just saying for information of others. Super comfortable modern bed, Nico the owner buys them from local French bedmaker, some of the most comfortable sleep I have ever had at any hotel! Aircon in the room is very quiet, and one can switch it off, then just the fan works. I slept with open window at night and even in 36c heat during the day it was still very cool in the room at night. There are additional blankets etc in the room for those who need them. The breakfasts served in the garden were fantastic, freshly baked goodies, homemade jams, apricot one made by mamman of lady of the house, wonderful strawberry one by her sister. One morning it was raspberry bake, another a brioche. Yoghurt, muesli, fresh croissants, baguette all there. If you are noise sensitive in the morning when the breakfast is being prepared, or generally, bring earplugs, it is a home so there bound to be movement or preparation noise. It did not bother me, nor did the adorable French bulldog Giselle, she was so gorgeous, and before anyone worries, super quiet. Loved the warmth and generosity of the owners, even if we had to lean on translation apps at times on our phones, as my French is rather limited. If you are coming to the Roman Theatre, especially, I would not stay anywhere else! If you want to leave Orange due to its small size, to be fair one can see it in half a day, then you can abscond to Avignon, 10min walk to the station and then in 14min or maximum 23min and €6.60 and you have yourself a wonderful day outing. Heartily recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast hotel!
