I love this hotel. i have stayed here now many many times, and i have NEVER had a bad experience, so i thought i would finally write a DESERVED GOOD review. The Hotel is placed right at the heart of Dumaguete, everything you would want is with a few mins of the hotel, the hotel also provides trips to some of the popular tourist attractions. The rooms are always clean and fresh with daily room service, but in my opinion the only thing that lets the rooms down are the showers which sadly could do with more maintenance as often they are faulty in some way and poorly kept looking, but they still provide good supply of hot water. I have stayed in all of the rooms they offer, from their suite to the standard rooms, and all show the same levels of cleanliness and the rooms always feel welcoming. Free breakfast is provided and the restaurant is good and the food well cooked and presented , the hotel provides a full range of pampering service if you require some self indulgence. The staff are ALWAYS friendly polite professional and on hand for any reason and will always make you feel important and a valued guest. I have in all my stays at this Hotel had only ever had one problem which was dealt with professionally, immediately and satisfactorily,. This hotel is ALWAYS my first choice when i visit Dumaguete, and will continue to be so They have plenty of rooms and even as a walk in, i have never been turned away from being fully booked, Its always a pleasure staying here.... See you next time !

This hotel is not expensive and the service is good. The room has hot water with breakfast. I booked a family room with a double bed and a single bed. The single bed was a little noisy at the window facing the street. It is very close to Robinson Shopping Plaza and it is convenient to take a coach.

Gee! This is one of those places that are reviewed at FIVE STAR and you go to find out… they really deserve it! I LOVE this place! The front desk staff REALLY set the mood for any stay, and these ladies REALLY warm your hearts with genuine smiles, humorous wit, complete professionalism, and charming & welcoming personalities! A1, 100% could not be any better. First class. The best! The names I most recall are Ariane & Jora, as they truly practice excellence in this sometimes difficult profession. The rooms are soooooooo clean! So to all the unnamed people who do this job, THANK YOU! They have a breakfast served almost all day, plus a lite menu. Delicious, affordable, and prompt. As they say this province, it’s LAAMI KAAYO! Great fresh smoothies too! The owner is a pure Filipino corporation, so no weird overseas influences. I like that. Plus the have a meeting/banquet facility, beautiful swimming pool although I didn’t try it out, great lobby, and I think 28 overall rooms. The only thing I hope…. Is after all these well-deserved 5-STAR ratings, please don’t raise prices! I will come here again and again and again. Truly love this place! Home away from home.

Situated near the 7 eleven, and cost £1 by trike from the bus station. Very centrally located and an easy walk to restaurants, the University, the waterfront and supermarkets and shops. Very friendly check in. Room very basic, and had no windows but it was clean. Aircon powerful, intermittent wifi signal and decent amount of hanging space. Beds not that comfortable but clean. Bathroom and shower pretty food. Free water in reception. Overall quite good value for the cheap price.

We stayed here for over a week. The hotel is simple but very clean. Rooms are ample in size. WiFi is strong. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. It’s location is also great since it’s near restaurants and groceries. Great for business travelers or folks looking for a nice safe place to stay while visiting Dumaguete. Easily accessible to public transportation but also with ample parking if you have your own vehicle.

The rooms were very, very small. There was noise from people walking and being loud in the hallway at random times during the night, which woke me up. Also, our room didn't lock. They offer free breakfast (choice bud-bud or toast), but the bud-bud wasn't available and the toast isn't much. Wifi didn't work during the evening/night. We didn't mind this but all in all I feel like it wasn't worth the price. However, the atmosphere seemed nice and laidback. Couches, books, art, etc. (Hoping they will get rid of the very small fish tank though)

It's in the town centre near Macdonald's, Jollibee and Lee plaza and others, it's ok we stayed because we had an early flight, there is a lift to the floors of your room. You can get drinking water and hot water on the third floor, it's basic but the bed was comfortable and air-conditioning in the room's, it was ok for us but the desk staff looked miserable, maybe if they smiled their face would crack, very rare to see miserable looking staff

I’m very very happy with this hotel. Please note, I’m accustomed to five-star luxury hotels around the world. While this boutique hotel isn’t a five-star in that sense, let me say…. Any possible little shortcomings are EASY TO OVERLOOK due to the kindness and warm-hearted professionalism extended by the staff. They’re super duper. From the street, you actually might wonder if it’s good. But once you approach the hard working and friendly staff, and lovely interior, you’ll be happy you supported this wonderful little business. Essentially, there are three floors and a restaurant on the fourth. I personally would only choose the 2nd or 3rd floors, so you can enjoy your own private restroom, or Comfort Room as it’s called here. That’s just my view. Let’s say right away….. clean, clean, clean. Everything is clean! I love it. This is their grand re-opening time, I think, following two years of silly covid restrictions. I think it’s a family business actually, and that’s always better to support than the large corporations.

The place is perfect for those traveling with a tight budget. As for me, we were wanting to explore the city and the neighboring nature destinations - so it didn't make sense to check in an expensive hotel as we didn't plan to lounge in the hotel. The room rates are budget friendly - the beds and the AC was okay. Room had a tv with cable, but wifi was not working most of the time, but its okay because Mobile data was strong enough as the hostel is within the city. The only issue I have was with the bathroom. It was nice, had a sink, a hot/cold shower and a large toilet. However, the bathroom had a divider on the floor separating the shower and toilet - but the toilet part of the room had no floor drain. So tendency is, if you spill or splash water to the toilet part of the bathroom, it will stay on the floor and would flood the other half. But all in all, the stay was great.

We originally planned to stay at another hotel but it was full so we decided to try Henia. Overall it’s been a good experience and I think this is probably the best option in Dumaguete, which for some reason has a very limited selection of hotels. The good: - The rooms are reasonably sized. They only had twin rooms when we booked. While they are basic, they are up to date, clean and reasonably roomy - The bathroom is decent quality, with expected amenities such as shampoo, toothbrush kits, etc. The shower is spacious. - The wall air conditioner works well - They bring the included breakfast to your room. You choose from a number of Filipino options each day. There is no western breakfast option. - Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and helpful - The elevator, which is a rarity in Dumaguete hotels, is decent sized and very smooth The not so good: - There is a lot of traffic noise - The water pressure is not great - The internet is not strong. It’s virtually impossible to even upload things - The key card is very touchy, so it takes a long time to get the door open Overall, given the other options, I would recommend this hotel

It's OK, in the urban location, when the clerk is focusing on the Bible, it is a scene. I asked the boat to go to Mint and answered the questions very enthusiastically. I also called me to confirm. The room we have seen other people's comments to set the three-person room, really a lot of space.

Staff was very friendly and genuine. Breakfast was also really great with 3 options (continental, American and Filipino). There was also possible to adjust a bit like stronger coffee, less baked bacon or 1 egg only. Furniture and decoration is also very beautiful. I also really appreciated the cleaning staff to put of their shoes/slipper when entering the room for cleaning. If I can make a few improvements it is. Bed cover was only 1 sheet. A blanket or a more thick bed cover would be nice. More variety in fridge like cola, diet coke or sprite More punctual in coffee sachets refills and towels (if one is on the ground placed for replacement. But overall it was good value for money Staff always smiled and was friendly. Location is also great. Close to boulevard and 50’meter swimming pool is only 20’minutes walking distance. Don’t forget to give the small local restaurants a try. I really enjoyed the Dumaguete experience also because of you 🙏

Poorly equipped and badly maintained. Not even a tin opener in the kitchen when we arrived, no tumblers, only 3 bowls, no teaspoons. Cooking equipment two camp style pots and a frying pan with a loose handle! Floors filthy, bathroom dirty . Thin sheets over stained and torn mattresses, no sign of mattress protectors. Dangerous electric sockets with exposed wiring. Swimming pool went green for 3 days Staff friendly but obviously are ignorant of acceptable standards and lacking both supervision and guidance.

We (1 x Australian male & 1 x Filipina) stayed for one week in a Family Apartment. We chose Villa Prescilla as we wanted to be able to self-cater and cook our own meals. The hotel is a short drive from both the airport (via taxi) and the centre of Dumaguete (trike). Getting transport via a trike is easy, plus the trikes here are much bigger than in Manila or Angeles and the prices were reasonable: but it does help if you have a Filipina with you to ensure you are not being taken advantage of (but I still gave tips to drivers). Location is away from the hustle & bustle of Dumaguete, but the road is still very busy and noise from traffic can be a bit of a problem, but main bedroom is at the rear of the building and we kept the doors shut. To avoid being awakened too early by neighbouring roosters or barking dogs, I recommend having the fan on for white noise. The hotel is a bit old and showing its age, but it is still clean, pleasant and had everything we needed, plus the caretaker/s were very helpful and friendly. My only gripe would be in relation to the Wi-Fi signal which at times was non-existent (welcome to the Philippines...lol). In the times we live, Wi-Fi has become a necessity and I was relying on being able to use my laptop, so it was of great importance to me to be able to access the internet when I wanted / needed. Fortunately, each time I really needed to access the internet the caretakers would come to the apartment and were able to get a signal for me through trial and error, plus a lot of persistence and sometimes calling upon the available IT guru (caretakers’ teenage son). My Filipina was very happy with the kitchen facilities and was able to whip up some great meals. Caretakers were also able to arrange a private car with driver for us (day trip to Bindoy) and a taxi for the journey to the airport for our departure.

Similar to the domestic express hotel, it is slightly better than Hanting. It is quite modern in Duma, because it was renovated and opened in 2018, the facilities are new, the hot water is strong, and the house does not have ant text geckos. This is rare in Duma. It ’s not a resort hotel, but I really gave it 100 points. I left the hotel ’s business card when I left.

During the Spring Festival, I came to Duma Gai to travel. The hotel is scheduled to be mentioned by the Raiders. It is said to be a Chinese boss. It is convenient for communication. Maybe the boss returned to China for the Spring Festival and did not see it. But no effect, simple English communication is no problem. In the Dumaguete area, the facilities of this hotel are very good, I booked a family room, service attitude, breakfast buffet can be delivered, travel can not ask too much, clean, taste basic It’s good to have a good time. It is about 1.5km away from the city center. It is quite convenient. It is quite noisy to live in the city. It is relatively quiet. The house on the side of the road I live in will not feel noisy. Recommended hotel.

A standard room that is clean and spacious is what this hotel offers. It does meet my expectation plus the fact that the hotel staff are nice and accomodating. This hotel is a block away from the famous Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries and a walking distance to the boulevard. It has all the amenities of a good hotel. The wireless network is fast too. It also offers airport pick-up and drop off services for php300. It also has an adjacent restaurant. The only setback is, you cannot adjust the aircon's temperature to your liking. I think the airconditioning of this hotel is centralized. There is also an elevator and stairs you can choose from. Overall, this hotel is one of the best places to stay in Dumaguete. Price is affordable too.

This time I booked a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, which is very convenient and you can cook by yourself, but I didn’t experience it in a hurry this time. The restaurant downstairs is not as good as everyone said, but it is above the overall level of the Philippines. The swimming pool is beautiful and there are slides to play. After checking out, I had to go to the pier to take the boat to Tin Island. Because we had 5 people and luggage, we asked the front desk to call a cart for us. As a result, we arranged a brand new van to take us there for free. The building is very distinctive, the layout is very cute, I feel that a small town in Europe, next time I must take my daughter to stay a few more days.

I stayed here last week together with my husband. Our room is nice, very spacious, air-conditioned room and hot shower. Unfortunately, I have to ask the receptionist for our bath towels and I hope next time it was already at the room by the time we check in. The remote control of the tv also does not function well. I also saw some webs on the ceilings of the comfort room. I suggest to clean properly the CR and repair minor amenities of the room. But still, I love to stay over and over again in this hotel since it's very accessible in the downtown area. Thank you. For a 5 star hotel, it doesn’t seem like it is and definitely not worth the price. -Poor amenities (Example, they offer a small thin bar of soap as a body wash. Why wouldn’t they offer liquid body wash? Also, some towels were overused) -They clean the rooms/bathrooms and change your towels after 3 days instead of everyday. There’s no pandemic anymore so why not clean the rooms everyday?! -Good food, but not enough choices for breakfast (Why wouldn’t pancakes be included in the options? Also, the coffee doesn’t taste good - strong and burnt tasting) -Nice staff, but they need more training: >Food Service is slow and inefficient. During breakfast and lunch, our food were served after hours of waiting. Some of our orders came incorrectly (not what we ordered). >Disorganize and lack in system. >They lack in staff both at the front desk and Sans rival Cafe. -They will charge you if you don’t return all your keycards. If this was a true 5 star hotel, you wouldn’t charge your guests for something cheap and disposable. Overall, our stay was ok (big rooms and nice pool), but lacking in amenities and training of staff. There are more cons than pros. Whoever owns this hotel seems like they are saving too much on costs. Never going to stay in any of the Henry Hotels in the Philippines.

We stayed only overnight at this unique beautiful botique hotel as we have to fly the following day to Manila . We were immediately greeted by a very special and charming lady by the name of February, very sweet and charming ! Welcome drink was really timely after 1 hour ride from Zambuanquita where we had our hotel for the Apo island diving the night before. What makes this hotel special is how friendly and accommodating the staff were, not to mention the Philippine hut style “igloo” & beautiful interior design. The role model for how to “treat” a guest is the GM & Operations Manager, Marlon Navarro. I am a Filipino expat who had lived over 40 years in Europe and just on a diving & golf safari with my buddy but I have never seen an “over the top” hospitality from a hotel manager. Marlon answered all our enquiries including where to have a nice dinner, bar to hang out, sightseeing and spa. For spa, don’t miss the hotel spa especially with Jess - one of my best massages in the Philippines. Also, as Marlon noticed that I have an Austrian guest who is a little bit inquisitive about the area, brought us even by himself to the Boulevard as my friend is quite tall for a “tuktuk” (our local Tricicle). I wish UNWND all the success in the world and without a doubt, with Marlon under it’s helm, it will be the top hotel in Dumaguete in due time. Thank you so much for this “unusual “ experience! Being new, the rooms are small, but neat and clean. They are very colourful, as you can see from the photos. There's a rooftop pool, possibly the smallest hotel pool ever, yet quite deep. Good for cooling off and for its views of the city. If there are sufficient guests, breakfast may be a buffet on the top floor, which is quite good. Otherwise, you only get to order a meal and one drink from the cafe next to reception. As is often the case in the Philippines, the choice is extremely limited in that case. It's hard to rate the hotel's value, when these are two vastly different situations. You can have 4 or 5 or more glasses of juice at the breakfast buffet, or only 1 if that's not operating. I'll be generous and rate it very good, but that assumes they supply the decent breakfast. If you get stuck with the cafe breakfast, I'd downgrade it to average.
