Waterfront! CShore Beach Home, Tranquility by the Sea, is on the Water, the NC Sound across the street from the Beach. Affectionately called The Wedding Cake House! A Beautiful family home, 3200 sq ft large, and it’s only a few steps to reach the water, directly on the NC intracoastal waterway, Bogue Sound, and a short walk across the street from the white, powder sands of Emerald Isle NC beach, on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s about an hours drive to Ellis Airport OAJ, in Jacksonville NC or EWN Carolina Coastal Regional Airport in New Bern, NC. There are four lovely bedrooms, master bedroom downstairs on the main level, two and a half bathrooms and an outside shower, with large closets, laundry room, storage and pantry spaces. A Charcoal grill is available, beach supplies room, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, plus two picnic tables, flat screen tv, many games and lots of reading materials for all ages. The Third story cupola enjoys a complete wrap around porch with awe inspiring sound and ocean views and a comfy daybed. This is a birders haven as the pier is on pilings and is a sanctuary for an abundant variety of sea loving feathered friends, especially pelicans. The Pier is not repaired or able to be walked on. The Main level has a complete, on all 4 sides of the house, wrap around porch and amazing sunsets and sunrises with comfortable captains chairs, rocking chairs and a picnic table facing the Sound. The Kitchen boasts a cozy breakfast nook with seating for four plus 6 bar stool seating around the central island counter. There are two Picnic tables and charcoal grill onsite. One picnic table is on the porch and one is on the ground level beside the garage. There are beach toys, chairs and beach umbrellas available to use. The Laundry room is available on the ground level by the carport. Please do not lock the laundry or beach supplies doors, keep them unlocked even when you leave. Four Lovely bedrooms, with the Master Bedroom and bath is downstairs on the main level. There are ample living areas which invite rest, refreshment, recuperation, fellowship, study, writing, painting and reflection. Wonderful family recreational activities, beaches, swimming, surfing, golf, tennis, pickleball, fishing at the sound, ocean and on the Bogue pier, putt-putt golf, shopping, seafood, gym, EI Rec Center, bike rentals, movie theaters and restaurants are nearby in an easy distance in both directions from the house. Emerald Isle Sea Turtle nesting and watching is another favorite beach activity. Walking, jogging, sunbathing and fishing on the beach, and at the sound, a water sports facility is a short jaunt away. There is a sidewalk that runs to Indian Beach and all the way into the town of Emerald Isle. The house is Close to both Atlantic Beach and the Town of Emerald Isle. We have a Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The house is on the sound side with direct access, a few steps from the house to the Sound for bird, fish jumping and dolphin viewing. Clamming and crabbing in the Sound, behind the house, is fun if you bring your own equipment. There’s swimming, floating, jet skiing, boating, fishing and endless water activities. To access the beach is a short walk across the street, to the right is the public beach access at the 3rd Street Park Public Access with with wheelchair ramp, picnic table and car parking. To the left is the Second Street Public Access walkway to the beach. We enjoy viewing and hearing the ocean from the main porch and 3rd story cupola, both with full wrap around porches. The towns of Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, Morehead City, Beaufort and Swansboro are close by. There is also Emerald Path, NC Aquarium, Beaufort, Wild Horses of Shackleford Banks, Cape Lookout National Seashore, Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Tryon Palace, churches of many denominations, local festivals, free concerts, local produce & farm stalls and much more nearby CShore Beach Home, Tranquillity by the Sea. With steps leading directly to the beach - what more could you ask for? You would be renting the west side. The views from this house are incredible no matter which direction you look. Sitting on the highest point of land in Emerald Isle, Cloud Nine is appropriately named, sitting high atop the dunes. The sun rises to the east and sets in the west, over the ocean, making this location one of the only places on the entire east coast that faces due south.The house offers a huge composite deck with PVC railings and a covered sitting area for shade. Stairs offer a short walk to get your feet in the sand. On the main living floor an open floor plan offers a comfortable living room to relax and rejuvenate for another exciting beach day. A large kitchen off of the living room on the main floor is loaded with all of your cooking necessities. On the Bogue Sound side of the main floor, a separate room is tucked away for extra sleeping space. A full bath and washer/dryer is on the sound side, off of the kitchen.The upstairs is all about sleeping space! After a day on the beach or out visiting the plethora of local attractions, there is nothing like a good night's rest. Cloud Nine offers comfortable sleeping for our guests as we have furnished the house for as we will one day live there ourselves. The master bedroom sits off the ocean side and offers a king bed and a large deck with a view that makes you speechless. The master bedroom offers the largest bathroom with windows that show the ocean with every turn.The largest room on the sound side offers a private deck with a view of the ocean and the sound, a queen bed with a twin. The sound side back bedroom offers a full bed, twin bed and plenty of closet space with a great view of Bogue Sound. The middle room at the top of the stairs offers a bunkbed with two twins and closet.Built in 1995 and remodeled in 2012, the house is very well constructed and maintained. Cloud Nine sits near mile marker 15, mid-way mark on the 29 mile island. This proximity allows guests to travel east to discover the local flavor of nearby Atlantic Beach, including a side trip to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, only 8 miles away. Continue on east and follow Route 58 to the end of the road which is home to historic Fort Macon State Park. From Atlantic Beach, a trip across the causeway to Morehead City offers nightlife, sound side dining and local shopping with historic Beaufort only a few miles further east. Traveling west from the house brings you into the town of Emerald Isle in just 4 miles. Adventurous guests can walk to the Bogue Sound pier by beach in about two hours. I recommend walking one way and calling back for a ride and insisting on being taken out to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch since you earned that!! Crossing the bridge at the west end of Emerald Isle is one of the most breathtaking scenes on the island. This short drive takes you to Cedar Point, home of Dudley Marina and the best place for FRESH OFF THE BOAT seafood at Phillips Seafood Market - where the locals go for fresh fish. Drive across another short bridge and enter into Swansboro, one of our favorite places to go. Wonderful people and wonderful restaurants. The closest mall in Jacksonville is only 30 minutes from Cloud Nine, beyond Swansboro.FAQ details-Keurig and Standard coffee makers-Gas grill and a small charcoal grill available for use. - 4 tvs with ROKU and Spectrum cable located in Livingroom, Master, queen room, and bonus rooms. -There are 2 boxes down by the beach on west side with various beach toys and such that you are welcome to use. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee beach chairs or umbrellas will be available so please bring your own or arrange to rent them for your stay. The salt water and air destroys them quickly and we are unable to keep a supply available for renters.- 2 parking spots under the west side of the house and 2 right behind those in the driveway. Completely renovated and newly furnished in 2024, oceanfront Emerald Isle Escape makes it easy to relax and enjoy the beautiful, pristine beaches and crystal clear waters of Emerald Isle, one of the least crowded beaches in the Southeast. Enjoy the ocean air and views from the outside decks of this oceanfront 5-bedroom, 4-bath west-side duplex, or take a few steps down the sloping, private boardwalk, and you'll be on the sand!The entry floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a laundry area. The spacious oceanfront master suite has a king bed with storage, a large dresser and mirror, two bedside tables, a sitting chair, a closet, and a Smart TV. There is a slider to the deck and outside seating for four to listen to the waves and enjoy the stunning ocean views. The well-lit master bathroom has an oversized, single-bowl sink with plenty of storage and an additional shelving area to the left of the shower for towels and extras. The shower has two glass shelves for your supplies and a handheld showerhead. The oceanfront queen bedroom on this floor has a queen-size storage bed, two bedside tables, a tall, narrow chest of drawers, and a Smart TV. There is room in the closet to store your suitcases but no hanging area because it's under the stairs. The slider in this room leads to the deck with outside seating and is shared with the master. The double bunk bedroom on this floor is perfect for families or extra guests; it is located on the roadside of the house and has a large chest of drawers, a bedside table, a Smart TV, and a closet. There is also a pack-n-play in the closet.The second bathroom on this floor for the queen and bunk rooms is well-lit and has some storage space to the right of the shower and under the vanity. It has a handheld showerhead and a curtain instead of a shower door to accommodate giving kids baths. The laundry area has a large capacity washer and dryer. There are some laundry baskets, a Shark vacuum, a mop/broom, and an iron and ironing board if needed. Up the stairs to the third floor, you'll find an open floor plan with the main living area, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a queen bedroom, and a bathroom with a large, tiled shower. Enjoy ocean views from the sofas, dining, or kitchen, or open the slider and step out onto the deck to feel the breeze while you relax. There’s an outside table with four Adirondack chairs and two additional bar-height Adirondack chairs to enjoy the outdoor space.The living room area has seating for 12 with two oversized sofas, two oversized chairs with large ottomans, an adjustable height coffee table, three end tables, and a 65" Smart TV with surround sound. The furniture is really comfortable, and it’s a big enough space to hang out when you’re in from the beach. The dining table is bar height and seats 6. The oversized bar has seating for 4 more and a lot of serving or workspace. The kitchen is fully equipped with serve and cookware and has a Keurig, blender, griddle, and toaster oven combo & toaster in addition to the new frig/freezer with water and ice maker, sink disposal, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop/oven. The kitchen has plenty of storage, and there's also a small pantry closet right off the kitchen.The queen bedroom on this floor has a queen storage bed, a chest of drawers, a bedside table, a closet, and a Smart TV. It does not have an ocean view, but it's the only bedroom on this floor and will use the bathroom with the largest shower. The bathroom on this floor has a large tiled shower with seating and two shelves. Back down to the first floor, you'll find a large master suite with a living area and a full bath with shower. You do have to go outside of the house to get to this room, but it is a nice, big room. Inside this separate entrance master suite, there's a king-size storage bed, a large dresser with a mirror, and two bedside tables, but it does not have a closet. There's also a comfortable sectional that pulls out into a full-size bed, a coffee table, and a 55" Smart TV. The bathroom for this suite has a shower with a small seat and a handheld showerhead. This suite is perfect for when couples and families vacation together since it adds an extra inside living area and privacy. This suite has a private patio by the dunes with seating for two and a hammock, and the outside shower for the home is located to the right on the side of the house. The outside shower has hot and cold water, a rain head, a regular head, a foot wash, and a hose connection to wash you and your beach gear off.Emerald Isle Escape is the west side of the duplex only. It was completely gutted and renovated inside and out including the front porch and boardwalk to the beach in 2024, and we have done our best to make it as nice and comfortable for your vacation home as possible. We even added an extra water heater so when everyone heads off the beach at the same time to grab dinner at a local favorite, you shouldn't run out of hot water! Every room has a ceiling fan and Smart TV, and all three floors have separate A/C controls. Besides being just steps from the ocean and uncrowded beach, the location of Emerald Isle Escape is great because as soon as you come off the EI bridge onto the island, you get into the right lane out of traffic, turn at the very first light, and are here in just a few minutes. You should be able to park 7 cars in the driveway on our side of the duplex.Please be mindful that, like all homes on EI, there are full-time residents and other vacationers around this rental. You should relax, let loose, and have a great time on vacation, but this is not a party house. Please enjoy yourself as we always have when we are on vacation, but be mindful that reckless or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated. We hope you will make Emerald Isle Escape your vacation home and that it will be everything you want it to be with a pristine beach, warm sun, soft waves, a light breeze, and comfy accommodations. Waterfront! CShore Beach Home, Tranquility by the Sea, is on the Water, the NC Sound across the street from the Beach. Affectionately called The Wedding Cake House! A Beautiful family home, 3200 sq ft large, and it’s only a few steps to reach the water, directly on the NC intracoastal waterway, Bogue Sound, and a short walk across the street from the white, powder sands of Emerald Isle NC beach, on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s about an hours drive to Ellis Airport OAJ, in Jacksonville NC or EWN Carolina Coastal Regional Airport in New Bern, NC. There are four lovely bedrooms, master bedroom downstairs on the main level, two and a half bathrooms and an outside shower, with large closets, laundry room, storage and pantry spaces. A Charcoal grill is available, beach supplies room, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, plus two picnic tables, flat screen tv, many games and lots of reading materials for all ages. The Third story cupola enjoys a complete wrap around porch with awe inspiring sound and ocean views and a comfy daybed. This is a birders haven as the pier is on pilings and is a sanctuary for an abundant variety of sea loving feathered friends, especially pelicans. The Pier is not repaired or able to be walked on. The Main level has a complete, on all 4 sides of the house, wrap around porch and amazing sunsets and sunrises with comfortable captains chairs, rocking chairs and a picnic table facing the Sound. The Kitchen boasts a cozy breakfast nook with seating for four plus 6 bar stool seating around the central island counter. There are two Picnic tables and charcoal grill onsite. One picnic table is on the porch and one is on the ground level beside the garage. There are beach toys, chairs and beach umbrellas available to use. The Laundry room is available on the ground level by the carport. Please do not lock the laundry or beach supplies doors, keep them unlocked even when you leave. Four Lovely bedrooms, with the Master Bedroom and bath is downstairs on the main level. There are ample living areas which invite rest, refreshment, recuperation, fellowship, study, writing, painting and reflection. Wonderful family recreational activities, beaches, swimming, surfing, golf, tennis, pickleball, fishing at the sound, ocean and on the Bogue pier, putt-putt golf, shopping, seafood, gym, EI Rec Center, bike rentals, movie theaters and restaurants are nearby in an easy distance in both directions from the house. Emerald Isle Sea Turtle nesting and watching is another favorite beach activity. Walking, jogging, sunbathing and fishing on the beach, and at the sound, a water sports facility is a short jaunt away. There is a sidewalk that runs to Indian Beach and all the way into the town of Emerald Isle. The house is Close to both Atlantic Beach and the Town of Emerald Isle. We have a Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The house is on the sound side with direct access, a few steps from the house to the Sound for bird, fish jumping and dolphin viewing. Clamming and crabbing in the Sound, behind the house, is fun if you bring your own equipment. There’s swimming, floating, jet skiing, boating, fishing and endless water activities. To access the beach is a short walk across the street, to the right is the public beach access at the 3rd Street Park Public Access with with wheelchair ramp, picnic table and car parking. To the left is the Second Street Public Access walkway to the beach. We enjoy viewing and hearing the ocean from the main porch and 3rd story cupola, both with full wrap around porches. The towns of Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, Morehead City, Beaufort and Swansboro are close by. With steps leading directly to the beach - what more could you ask for? You would be renting the west side. The views from this house are incredible no matter which direction you look. Sitting on the highest point of land in Emerald Isle, Cloud Nine is appropriately named, sitting high atop the dunes. The sun rises to the east and sets in the west, over the ocean, making this location one of the only places on the entire east coast that faces due south.The house offers a huge composite deck with PVC railings and a covered sitting area for shade. Stairs offer a short walk to get your feet in the sand. On the main living floor an open floor plan offers a comfortable living room to relax and rejuvenate for another exciting beach day. A large kitchen off of the living room on the main floor is loaded with all of your cooking necessities. On the Bogue Sound side of the main floor, a separate room is tucked away for extra sleeping space. A full bath and washer/dryer is on the sound side, off of the kitchen.The upstairs is all about sleeping space! After a day on the beach or out visiting the plethora of local attractions, there is nothing like a good night's rest. Cloud Nine offers comfortable sleeping for our guests as we have furnished the house for as we will one day live there ourselves. The master bedroom sits off the ocean side and offers a king bed and a large deck with a view that makes you speechless. The master bedroom offers the largest bathroom with windows that show the ocean with every turn.The largest room on the sound side offers a private deck with a view of the ocean and the sound, a queen bed with a twin. The sound side back bedroom offers a full bed, twin bed and plenty of closet space with a great view of Bogue Sound. The middle room at the top of the stairs offers a bunkbed with two twins and closet.Built in 1995 and remodeled in 2012, the house is very well constructed and maintained. Cloud Nine sits near mile marker 15, mid-way mark on the 29 mile island. This proximity allows guests to travel east to discover the local flavor of nearby Atlantic Beach, including a side trip to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, only 8 miles away. Continue on east and follow Route 58 to the end of the road which is home to historic Fort Macon State Park. From Atlantic Beach, a trip across the causeway to Morehead City offers nightlife, sound side dining and local shopping with historic Beaufort only a few miles further east. Traveling west from the house brings you into the town of Emerald Isle in just 4 miles. Adventurous guests can walk to the Bogue Sound pier by beach in about two hours. I recommend walking one way and calling back for a ride and insisting on being taken out to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch since you earned that!! Crossing the bridge at the west end of Emerald Isle is one of the most breathtaking scenes on the island. This short drive takes you to Cedar Point, home of Dudley Marina and the best place for FRESH OFF THE BOAT seafood at Phillips Seafood Market - where the locals go for fresh fish. Drive across another short bridge and enter into Swansboro, one of our favorite places to go. Wonderful people and wonderful restaurants. The closest mall in Jacksonville is only 30 minutes from Cloud Nine, beyond Swansboro.FAQ details-Keurig and Standard coffee makers-Gas grill and a small charcoal grill available for use. - 4 tvs with ROKU and Spectrum cable located in Livingroom, Master, queen room, and bonus rooms. -There are 2 boxes down by the beach on west side with various beach toys and such that you are welcome to use. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee beach chairs or umbrellas will be available so please bring your own or arrange to rent them for your stay. The salt water and air destroys them quickly and we are unable to keep a supply available for renters.- 2 parking spots under the west side of the house and 2 right behind those in the driveway. The spacious oceanfront master suite has a king bed with storage, a large dresser and mirror, two bedside tables, a sitting chair, a closet, and a Smart TV. There is a slider to the deck and outside seating for four to listen to the waves and enjoy the stunning ocean views. The well-lit master bathroom has an oversized, single-bowl sink with plenty of storage and an additional shelving area to the left of the shower for towels and extras. The shower has two glass shelves for your supplies and a handheld showerhead. The oceanfront queen bedroom on this floor has a queen-size storage bed, two bedside tables, a tall, narrow chest of drawers, and a Smart TV. There is room in the closet to store your suitcases but no hanging area because it's under the stairs. The slider in this room leads to the deck with outside seating and is shared with the master. The double bunk bedroom on this floor is perfect for families or extra guests; it is located on the roadside of the house and has a large chest of drawers, a bedside table, a Smart TV, and a closet. There is also a pack-n-play in the closet.The second bathroom on this floor for the queen and bunk rooms is well-lit and has some storage space to the right of the shower and under the vanity. It has a handheld showerhead and a curtain instead of a shower door to accommodate giving kids baths. The laundry area has a large capacity washer and dryer. There are some laundry baskets, a Shark vacuum, a mop/broom, and an iron and ironing board if needed. Up the stairs to the third floor, you'll find an open floor plan with the main living area, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a queen bedroom, and a bathroom with a large, tiled shower. Enjoy ocean views from the sofas, dining, or kitchen, or open the slider and step out onto the deck to feel the breeze while you relax. There’s an outside table with four Adirondack chairs and two additional bar-height Adirondack chairs to enjoy the outdoor space.The living room area has seating for 12 with two oversized sofas, two oversized chairs with large ottomans, an adjustable height coffee table, three end tables, and a 65" Smart TV with surround sound. The furniture is really comfortable, and it’s a big enough space to hang out when you’re in from the beach. The dining table is bar height and seats 6. The oversized bar has seating for 4 more and a lot of serving or workspace. The kitchen is fully equipped with serve and cookware and has a Keurig, blender, griddle, and toaster oven combo & toaster in addition to the new frig/freezer with water and ice maker, sink disposal, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop/oven. The kitchen has plenty of storage, and there's also a small pantry closet right off the kitchen.The queen bedroom on this floor has a queen storage bed, a chest of drawers, a bedside table, a closet, and a Smart TV. It does not have an ocean view, but it's the only bedroom on this floor and will use the bathroom with the largest shower. The bathroom on this floor has a large tiled shower with seating and two shelves. Back down to the first floor, you'll find a large master suite with a living area and a full bath with shower. You do have to go outside of the house to get to this room, but it is a nice, big room. Inside this separate entrance master suite, there's a king-size storage bed, a large dresser with a mirror, and two bedside tables, but it does not have a closet. There's also a comfortable sectional that pulls out into a full-size bed, a coffee table, and a 55" Smart TV. The bathroom for this suite has a shower with a small seat and a handheld showerhead. This suite is perfect for when couples and families vacation together since it adds an extra inside living area and privacy. This suite has a private patio by the dunes with seating for two and a hammock, and the outside shower for the home is located to the right on the side of the house. The outside shower has hot and cold water, a rain head, a regular head, a foot wash, and a hose connection to wash you and your beach gear off.Emerald Isle Escape is the west side of the duplex only. It was completely gutted and renovated inside and out including the front porch and boardwalk to the beach in 2024, and we have done our best to make it as nice and comfortable for your vacation home as possible. We even added an extra water heater so when everyone heads off the beach at the same time to grab dinner at a local favorite, you shouldn't run out of hot water! Every room has a ceiling fan and Smart TV, and all three floors have separate A/C controls. Besides being just steps from the ocean and uncrowded beach, the location of Emerald Isle Escape is great because as soon as you come off the EI bridge onto the island, you get into the right lane out of traffic, turn at the very first light, and are here in just a few minutes. You should be able to park 7 cars in the driveway on our side of the duplex.Please be mindful that, like all homes on EI, there are full-time residents and other vacationers around this rental. You should relax, let loose, and have a great time on vacation, but this is not a party house. Please enjoy yourself as we always have when we are on vacation, but be mindful that reckless or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated. We hope you will make Emerald Isle Escape your vacation home and that it will be everything you want it to be with a pristine beach, warm sun, soft waves, a light breeze, and comfy accommodations.
