The hotel is located very close to the train and bus stations but is not affected by them. Additionally, it is a short walk from the historical centre. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet except when I opened the window. Breakfast was standard buffet fare. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the BEST BnB's I have ever stayed at. This family owned property is located in an apartment building a 5-10 minute walk to/from the Empoli train station. The lift takes you right up to HOMY'S front door. This BnB is immaculate!!! The owners are kind, gracious and helpful. My room was large and comfortably furnished. Outrageously comfortable bed, plenty of drawer space in the dresser and night tables. Clever, unobtrusive, modern set-up for hanging clothes. Small refrigerator and safe located in a compartment of the dresser. Quiet at night and the floor to ceiling curtains are elegant and keep out street light. HOMY is located a couple of blocks from a very popular walking area, with shops, eateries, a movie theater, a glass museum and one of the best gelato shops I found in Italy. This area is authentic. Not crowded with tourists. Just regular folks out for the evening passegiata. The proximity to the Empoli train station simplified my traveling in Italy. Empoli is a major stop on the train line with convenient access to Florence (20-30 minute train ride to Santa Maria Novella) and quick trip to Pisa. Lucca and Siena are conveniently accessible. And Volterra (a great town to visit) was a short train ride plus a public bus away. BnB owner Tatiana was very helpful with recommendations and directions. Although I often like to eat eggs at breakfast, the breakfast at HOMY was more than adequate and varied. FRESH croissants, toast, biscotti selection, rye crisp, juices, jams, honey, butter, fresh fruit such as apples, oranges and bananas. Selection of yogurt is kept in the refrigerator for you to choose. Tea or coffee is served. Bottles of mineral water are always available. I can't say enough positive things of my experience. I stayed here five nights and each night was a bit like "returning home". I put a lot into this review. That's because I liked the BnB and the owners very much! Oh, yes...and this BnB is a good value for the money.

The Borgo San Giusto and its onsite restaurant Osteria Donna Riccarda were fantastic. Our family of 4 stayed in a wonderful large room that easily accommodated all of us. The room was modern and had comfortable beds and a nicely appointed bathroom. We really appreciated that the room had a small mini bar (into which we were able to place some drinks and snacks) and air conditioning. It was an incredibly hot stretch during our stay - mid 30s - and very few accommodations of this "agriturismo" type have air conditioning. It worked extremely well and made our stay very pleasant. The location was perfect - beautiful countryside and a short (about 5 minute) drive to the Empoli train station. This train station is well located to day trip in to various key sights in Tuscany. We used it to take a trip into Florence - which was fantastic - there is some free parking near the station but it was full so we used the very reasonable (6 euros for the whole day) pay parking at the station. Florence is not a city you want to drive in - so when we were looking for a place to stay that was in the countryside and convenient to take the train the Borgo San Giusto fit the bill perfectly. It is peaceful, beautiful, has a nice pool and it is easy to get around from here. We want to make special mention of the Osteria Donna Riccarda. The food and service levels were simply incredible. Every single dish we tried among the 4 of us was fabulous and memorable. The staff were very patient with our questions about how various dishes were made and very accommodating when we asked for a basket of pasta fritta which normally only comes with their appetizer platter. What we really appreciated (and in our experience is somewhat unusual in these agriturismo-style restaurants) was that the restaurant has a menu. While it's always great to simply have someone bring you the food they are choosing to serve that day ,having a menu to pick from ensures that every guest can have what they like. The restaurant is also clearly very popular with local residents, which is a great sign!

Traveled Italy with a car. Here you have free parking in a modern clean hotel with easy morning drive to the train station with ample garage parking. Train takes 30 minutes to downtown Florence. Best, you also can short train rides to Pisa, Lucca, Siena and easy drive to San Gigigliano. Hotel resturant is not affliliated with Hotel but is OK. Groceries next door. Also, museum in town is good. Story of the wicker basket wine bottles. They all come from this town. Nearby is town of Monte Luppo and their ceramics. Museum is great. PS: Use the provided linen towel on the shower floor to avoid falling on slippery surface. Italy has limited liability laws and slipping here is dangerous.

We are staying in the hotel for four nights. We arrived a bit early (before the check in time) but they stored our luggage and we were able to go visit some locations (without having all our luggage in the car). When we arrived our luggage was waiting in our room. The room is very spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom. At your request they can also make reservations for you at the great little restaurant across the road. The next day we informed about the possibility of taking a bus or taxi to the train station to go and visit Florence but we missed the bus and a taxi would easily cost you 20€. The hostess offered to bring us to the train station herself! On the way she also explained that you need to validate your ticket before getting on the train. This was just an all-round fantastic level of service that we haven't experienced before. The breakfast is not that extensive but certainly doesn't lack anything. The only downside is that at certain times the road can be quite busy at times but for the rest the location is absolutely flawless. All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.
