Upstairs you'll find two light and airy bedrooms with wardrobes and chests of drawers and a recently refurbished bathroom complete with a bath/shower. One well behaved dog welcome.There's easy access to St Andrews (9 miles) and all East Neuk attractions from Puffin Cottage. We're beside the famous Fife Coastal Path and just a couple of minutes from Crail Golfing Society, home of the Balcomie and Craighead courses. Wild swimmers will enjoy the tidal pools along the East Neuk coast. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to try whether in Crail itself, along the coast or in St Andrews. There's also a great selection of shops in the village which will meet your everyday needs and more. The East Neuk is always a hive of activity with arts, music and food festivals to enjoy. Garden Cottage is a luxury self-catering holiday home set in private gardens just off the main street in Crail. It has three large bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate eight. Spacious, modern and luxurious, it makes a perfect setting for a relaxing retreat with family and friends. The beach, shops and pubs are a stroll away and there's private off street parking for two cars. On the ground floor you’ll find a large, open plan space to the rear of the cottage which accommodates the kitchen, dining area and two living areas.High spec and fully equipped, the kitchen comes complete with a SMEG range cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all the crockery and cutlery you're ever likely to need. All you need to do is bring the chef!To the side, a large dining table comfortably seats eight. Beside this is a cosy TV area, ideal for a family chill out after a busy day exploring, with a large, comfy corner sofa by the fire and a TV and DVD player. One of the favourite spots in the cottage for relaxing is the two large sofas at the back of the living area. French doors on three sides open onto the private, beautifully landscaped garden flooding this area with natural daylight and is ideal for spending a bit of "me time" relaxing, reading the paper and enjoying a well earned refreshment. The spacious ground floor family bedroom has a king size double bed together with adult size bunk beds, triple wardrobes, a large chest of drawers and a TV.Completing the ground floor is a luxury family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and "mains" shower over the bath. Upstairs are two further bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a king size double bed, double wardrobes, a chest of drawers, TV and a spacious en-suite shower room. There's also a couple of comfortable chairs.The large twin bedded room with built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, TV and views over the garden is delightful.The fully enclosed rear walled garden means you can put your feet up whilst the children (or adults!) play safely to their heart's content. There's a large lawned area that is ideal for sunbathing or playing with a football. 21 Shoregate is a 300 year old fisherman’s cottage just a stone’s throw from Crail harbour in the heart of this ancient village.The master bedroom has two windows overlooking the sea, and two windows overlooking Castle Terrace. It boasts an extremely comfy super-king bed. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and overlooks the picturesque stepped gables of Castle Terrace. Open the windows at night and you’ll hear the waves on the shore as you drift off… The bathroom has a P-shaped bath and a state of the art Grohe Rainshower system.Our bedding is pure Egyptian cotton from The White Company and organic, fairtrade unbleached cotton from Nour Luxury. Soap, shampoo and bubbles from Arran Aromatics are provided in the bathroom, together with White Company towels.Downstairs, the living-room opens onto the dining area and kitchen. We take pride in our well-stocked kitchen with everything you need to indulge in some holiday baking, and such extras as a slow cooker, and a Nespresso machine but also cafetières and milk frother for those who prefer to make their brew the old-fashioned way. There is a Weber BBQ in the garden.In the living-room you will find a digital TV, a CD player with Bluetooth (rather old-fashioned to have a CD player still, but we like it), and a Bose Sound Dock. Broadband wifi is provided and the cottage has its own small library of DVDs and books.We think it is important that you feel welcome as soon as you step in the door. In all seasons of the year, the wood-burning stove will be laid ready for your arrival, and you will find fresh flowers (from the garden in summer) and a basket of delicious Scottish goodies plus a bottle of wine from our local wine merchant.There is a secluded small garden behind the cottage. At the bottom you will find a terrace perched above the rooftops overlooking the Firth of Forth and on to the Isle of May. Perfect for sea and star gazing…. There is also a side garden with terraced flower beds and we've let the hedge at the front of the cottage grow a bit higher so you can sit on the bench out here in the morning unobserved by passers-by, watching the sun sparkle on the sea, while you enjoy your coffee, .Perfect for a coastal summer break, the cottage also offers real cosiness in the winter. When the seas are wild, snuggling up to the wood-burning stove with a hot chocolate or something stronger is sheer bliss. Nestled on the sofa, you can look through the French doors to the garden and the sea under the cliff beyond.
