Colleagues went to the United States for a business trip and helped him choose a hotel. The service was quite good, the facilities were ok, the price was not expensive, and the basics were not bad. Mainly interested in parking free, haha

Jasmine at the front desk is the real MVP. If you’re in a pinch, this is a solid hotel with regular vacancy. There’s also a diner downstairs for your coney fix. I have to make this review 209 characters and I’m running out of things to say so now im just filling up space but enjoy your stay!

Traveling to Detroit alone, there is a bus in front of the hotel, so I did not take a taxi, the bus goes directly to the city. There are restaurants around, many black people. I walked to the island and the scenery was great!

It is close to the city center, not far from the supermarket, and also close to the GE building. The front desk is very kind, and it is returned in US dollars. Overall it is good. The breakfast is relatively good.

I travel 50 to 75% of the time for work. We stay in nice to very nice places in this price range all the time. So I think I have a pretty good gauge on what should be expected here. Cleanliness: I found it to be above average. I did stumble across a difficult to clean area that could have used a little attention in an out of the way location, but to be fair you’ll find that in 80% of hotels if you go looking for it. Bed: the sheets, blankets, and linen were about the correct level. I’d say the bed was okay, it’s a good stiff mattress, probably not as plush as it should be at this price point. Pillows were a disaster. The pillows are not hotel quality or are ancient. They were the single worst issue in the whole room and that’s inexcusable as it’s an easy fix. Bathroom: outstanding. The layout, the quality of towels and amenities, and the water pressure were all top shelf. These are the 3 areas travelers care most about. So that’s my take. We paid $250 a night, this room would be a steal at $150. But bring your own pillows. Also the room was large and roomy and very well decorated. I found it odd they didn’t have charging plugs on the end tables, that’s pretty much a standard these days, but the plugs were close enough. The spa is fantastic, my wife and I both enjoyed that. The only other area we found lacking was the choices of food. It’s pretty much the buffet which has very limited hours or fast food. We were here for a romantic weekend and a nice romantic dinner over a hoggie, was not what we expected. However you are downtown Detroit and there are plenty of off site options.

I really like this hotel. Opposite the Ford Motor Company, the hotel helped upgrade to a double bed room, clean and comfortable, there are many pictures of Ford in the hotel, and the swimming pool.

I travel for business weekly. My company always books the room and sends authorization for the room and incidentals. I am here now in 516. They have the authorization form that literally says call with questions about incidentals. Well when I checked in it was 15 minutes approximately of ridiculous banter that the card is only for room and not incidentals and then the manager on duty left and spoke to her boss and said it was okay and sorted out. Now the deposit they needed is for… drum roll… incidentals. But the manager on duty just declined my dinner and said room service wasn’t included…. Is it not an incidental? Seriously, this hotel is the worst I have stayed at this year. Of course the general manager won’t be here till Tuesday so in the meantime I guess I don’t get to eat! I will never stay here again and don’t recommend to anyone!

The hotel turns off the AC in October so you have to sweat it out. They tell you to turn off your room's system and open the windows that open 1 inch. They will offer box fans if you are too hot - which we were. Three nights of sweats and you're sweating minutes after you get out of the shower. And a bonus if you're into it, this hotel is not ready for modern times. If you want to stay at a place where you smell ********* from the moment you leave your room to the lobby, this is the place. With the AC turned off and them telling you to turn off your system, there is not air circulation. Cars and ATVs race up Jefferson Street all hours of the night. The noise is loud and obnoxious from the highest of floors. Because of COVID, they don't clean your rooms and you have to ask for fresh towels if staying less than 7 nights. Be prepared to wait as they don't have towels at the front and it takes hours to get them.

No food for breakfast, it can be solved by going to the city center a few hundred meters away. Living in a suite is quite good. If you need it, you can let your friends live in the living room! !

In town for a concert....nice privately owned hotel, laid back vibe, but they do charge a $250 incendental fee which in my opinion is a little steep for a $200 one night stay. I asked if their was anything on their website to no avail. Staff member kept referencing the physical paper in front of me which stated the fee. It seems per staff, the only way to find out about the incedental fee is to call them directly to book and ask specifically how much the incendental fee is. Seems like an ongoing issue that staff has to deal with. We typically pay around $50 to $75 for incidental fees on our trips, so this one caught us off guard. An incidental that high should be stated on the hotel website since we live in such a digital era. The hotel website shows the other fees, parking and pet, but no $250 incidental. It just would have been a nice heads up, as this stay was paid for by my dad in advance as a birthday gift. Times are tough and we really didn't budget for a $250 hold. So, note to self and others....make sure you call this hotel directly to find out th3 incendental.

Every staff member I encountered was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us or just ask how we were doing as we passed through the lobby. The hotel is older and the elevator is small. The doorway of the room was also small. We had a wheelchair with us but as it was not a large one, it was able to fit. The room was clean and nice. My major complaint would be the bathroom door. While the sliding barn door is trendy it does lack privacy and there’s no handle on the inside of the bathroom. If you slide it with a small amount of force, it would ricochet off the other side of the closet area and bump into the person who was walking in or out of the bathroom. As we did have an older adult (85 years young) who was using a walker I was concerned about that. The street noise guild be heard but that was ok. The walls are thin so you do hear other patrons. The breakfast area seemed very small and just so-so looking good choices. We ate elsewhere. Overall, decent hotel with clean rooms for the price. And close to where we needed to be.

Great location for what was needed, but the rooms contain next to no sound dampening. Every truck that revved their engines driving past the hotel, every car driving over the metal plate, even people talking outside could be heard! Stayed in the Westin Cadillac previously and did not have this issue. Checked out early. If your can stand the noise, the hotel is otherwise great. Room was clean, beds made, and otherwise what you expect staying at a Hilton branded hotel. Service and staff is easily the best part of the hotel and everyone was helpful and friendly.

Going to the hotel selected on Detroit online, I thought it would be more prosperous to get closer to the casino. In fact, the size of the casino in the United States is not large enough to compare with Macau, Malaysia and South Korea. There are more black people around, and there are fewer yellow people. It is not safe to go out alone. It is not recommended to travel freely. It is better to live in a hotel on the Detroit River. The scenery and humanities are better.
