My husband and I stayed here for 10 days. We were actually only booked for 4, but knew within the first 24 hours that we had hit a goldmine of relaxation and luxury with Secreto. We cancelled our second-leg hotel and extended our stay at Secreto. First impression of the location will knock your socks off. Secluded beach, stunning pool, and a room view that belongs on the cover of Leisure Magazine. Your own chair and umbrella on the beach are just an ask away. Want to visit the best beach on the island? Turn left and walk along the beach about 150yards, and you’re there! We are travelers who typically book boutique all-inclusive properties, so this was our first trip to MX at a non-AI boutique property. While the restaurant and bar on-property are currently closed due to COVID, all but a few of the best restaurants on the island are a short walk away. Because the hotel is tucked away on a side street, you get NONE of the usual Centro street noise, while still being able to enjoy walking-distance to the fun. That closeness also means delivery(most restaurants offer free delivery) from all the best restaurants!! We ordered food from our favorites, delivered straight to our room or beach/pool bed. They also had soft drinks, ice, water available onsite to bring to you, which was nice. Room was great. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and the best AC we’ve experienced in Mexico. In addition, the daily room-cleaning done was Incredibly detailed. He even picked up on our preferences/habits by the second day(leaving extra bottled water for us by the sink to brush our teeth, removing the comforter when realizing we didn’t use it, and adding an extra foot towel for when we step out of the shower). Last but certainly not least, the service. Like all of the other hotels on the island, Secreto is working with a much smaller staff than usual. I would have never noticed it had the owner not said something. It’s clear their team has been together for years just by the way they work together. Not only did they constantly ask us, “what can we do for you/get for you/help you with today?” they went above and beyond to meet our needs before we knew we had them. Whether it be bottles of water on the beach, letting us release turtles that hatched on their beach, restaurant reservations, taxi calling, or roses in our room, they were there every step of the way. A note on COVID: All hotel staff wear masks, sanitize upon entry, and are constantly cleaning. Even the maid service wears full PPE while cleaning/sanitizing your room every day. We had no issues with mask-wearing or cleaning protocols. We will certainly be back Secreto, thank you for an amazing stay!

We were excited about spending a week at the Zoetry property at isle Mujeres. However we were very disappointed for what they charge. They provide a boat ride to the resort which is nice. The level of service is excellent and the food is awesome. The property is dated. Our room was pretty tired. The door wouldn’t lock from the balcony and the main door was easily opened. The mirror looked stained and rusted. The sinks just looked dirty. Old stains from years of abuse. They provide numerous channels to watch. However only one is in English. So the television experience was bad. The television is small. It is mounted on the wall and from the bed you have a poor angle and some 20 plus feet to watch only on English speaking channel at a weird angle. The property is small and there isn’t much to do. I was bored during our stay. The staff is outstanding. Super attentive to your needs. They have limited seating at the pools Food is outstanding. Staff is very friendly. The spa is excellent. The rooms and overall hotel is worn out. Mirrors, sinks, beds and everything about the rooms are plain tired. They offer a evening sunset cruise on their boat. Problem is that we asked and was put on the list by three of the staff. We went by the front desk and was to D it had left about 15 minutes ago. Frustrating is just part of the week. We have stayed at AMR resorts before. This one didn’t offer any usb plans to charge our phones. So bring your own. Other AMR provided sun block. Not here. Only $30 to buy some. We won’t be back here. Our safe is mounted to a shelf, but the shelf falls out of the dresser. So if anyone wanted access to the room pick a door and come on in. Then carry out the safe with the broken shelf and all. Be careful it doesn’t fall out when you open the dresser door and hurt your feet. Our room is dated and worn out. We have reading lights above our bed. Mine didn’t work. Needless to say. For what you pay and the level zoetry is rated at you will be disappointed.

Well to start with this is a brand new property in the Selina chain that just opened a couple weeks ago. And if it keeps going like this , I give it 3 years before it is a total dump again like the previous hostel that was there. 1. The hostel is not ready to receive guests and they opened it anyway. The kitchen was not finished , they were literally trying to put down a stone tile floor around the guests trying to use the kitchen. There is no cookware in the kitchen at all. How do you have a full kitchen and have no way to actually cook the food your guests buy to eat. They have you bring your food to the chef in the restaurant and ask him to cook your food for you. Which sounds great but what if you really don’t trust others and want to cook it yourself. Which is one of the major benefits of staying at a Selina , the full kitchen. They also need at least 2 more refrigerator. The hostel wasn’t even at full capacity and the 1 refrigerators they had were full with little room. Imagine when it’s fully booked. Oh and the kitchen is mosquito land, make sure you bring insect repellent. 2. Not all the rooms are completed which means there are constantly work men walking up and down the Halls . They also entered our room without notice to install a shelf in the bathroom. Which was useful , but a heads up would have been helpful so we could lock up any valuables to be safe. Also while water is hot and plentiful , it does make a weird sound when you turn on the cold water and the pipes shake. Will probably be a problem down the road. 3. There pool wasn’t functioning. They get a half pass for this because there was a hurricane a few days earlier but when asked when they intended to clean it so it can be used , the manager said “tomorrow, the guy is coming” five days later when we checked out the pool had been drained but never fixed or reopened. Don’t advertise about a great pool and then have nothing to show for it. 4. They are already slacking on cleaning. They didn’t have enough house keepers working and the hostel wasn’t at full capacity. We waited 7 hours to have our room cleaned. There was sand everywhere because the whole back of the property is just sand. Also no one was cleaning the kitchens . I saw a couple guys clean the bathrooms 2x but in this “Covid” era ... not nearly clean enough. 5. Just a warning They advertise they are on the beach , but it’s not the beach you can swim on. Many people have drowned in that part of the ocean due to rough waters. So you have to walk the 2 blocks to the better beach. But the beach next to the hotel is good for shells and sea glass. 6. The manager .. he’s not doing a great job and my biggest beef with him is his dog. I get that it’s a pet friendly hostel (though I don’t know why, people do have allergies). But he lets his dog have full reign of the property and doesn’t clean up after him when he goes to the bathroom. A couple people I talked to found poop by the pool from his dog. I had to get t

This resort is an average Mexico all inclusive. Nothing to fancy, nothing to blow your socks off with. Before I get into the good and bad list I will say I would have given the resort 3 stars as my wife and I both thought it was average resort BUT I am downgrading it one star to the rude aggressive security guard on the beach. Quick backstory - they flagged the beach red and closed it for swimming, a bit disappointing decided to go for a walk along the beach instead, at most when a large wave would crash we were in mid shin deep water and i was the one deepest in the water. There were people infront of us and behind us buggy boarding, body surfing, bobing in the waves, and laying in the surf probably 20 -30 people that we have watched do this for the past 30 minuets. We walked by the security guard he started yelling in Spanish (we do not speak Spanish) we started to try to talk with him what the problem was and he only grew more agitated that we could not communicate. He proceeded to grab my wrist write down by bracelet number and kick us off the beach. I to this day do not know what we were doing wrong as other guest were swimming in the waves and he let them proceed for the next 15 minuets as we picked up our belongings. Again we were just walking along the beach letting the waves crash on our feet. Riu Dunamar Hotel here's your piece of advice - If you want to close the beach make the rules universal for all guests not just kick off the Americans. Also If you decide to have a security guard who is going to get upset make sure they can communicate with the guests before getting HANDS ON!!! - Again still do not know what the issue was. Good - -Cleaning and Maintenance of the grounds was outstanding. -Dinner servers were right there for anything you needed -High chair tops always came wrapped in plastic so you knew they were clean -Despite getting a little annoying the Hand sanitizer and temp checks at the restaurant made us feel a little more at ease. The annoying part is depending on the person at the door my 2 year only might or might not need her mask to talk in. Again Riu keep to a standard and enforce it. -Beach was kept very clean and constantly groomed. -Go to the sports bar in the morning for Coffee you will not be disappointed Average - -Food was average - after about day 3 it got very reputative - nothing was outstanding -I personally felt many of the pools could have been better maintained. A big resort with that many people, the pools should smell of chlorine especially the kiddy pool -No waiters around the pools to get you drinks. they did have a cart if you wanted a beer or rum and coke. No blended drinks and rail liquor. again walk to the bar every time you want something. -The wait at the nice restaurants would get a little ridiculous. Get there at 6:20pm or plan on eating late or at the buffet. -A few more chairs in all the pool areas would be nice. The kiddie pool could use a

This is our second stay at Hotel D'Gomar. The location is excellent as it is directly across from the ferry terminal. Playa Central & Norte are just a short stroll away. The town centre is two blocks away. There is always someone at the front desk to help you. At night, the front door is locked for security and there is a night watchman. It is a bit noisy during the day with all the traffic, but if you sit on the deck and people watch it's quite entertaining. The rooms are clean, comfortable & spacious. Two beds, clean bathroom & large shower, flat screen TV and fridge. No safe but there is a lock drawer for valuables. Only a few hangers??? We had six in our room, asked for more and ten arrived in minutes. The staff is very accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast service each day. Mexican style cooking great everyday. The Gomar is not the Ritz so don't expect that. What you will get is a great hotel & staff that will treat you like part of their Mexican family if you allow them to. Engage the staff, speak a little Spanish. Don't be an arrogant ars. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Thank you Frank and staff for another great experience at Hotel D'Gomar! We will be back.

My husband and I love Nautibeach! We’ve stayed there twice and have rented chairs at Mayan Beach Club multiple times. It’s a hotel with maid service and staff, but the studios and 2bedroom condos are individually owned. It’s in a prime Playa Norte location with an amazing beach and clear water. The hotel has a huge pool with bar/food service from the attached beach club, Mayan. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can use the beach chairs and umbrellas for free. If not staying at hotel, you can rent chairs from Mayan, but cannot use pool and hotel facilities. We’ve only had outstanding service from the hotel staff and Mayan staff. Keep in mind that we’ve been there twice during the pandemic and it’s very quiet, but during peak summer months, Nauti/Mayan/Playa Norte are very busy. It doesn’t bother us, but does get crowded. As for the rooms, they are very clean and have comfortable beds/pillows. Most condos have full kitchens as well. We like the studios and they have everything but an oven (stovetop only). The room also has a 5 gallon tank of water that is refilled as needed for cooking, drinking, brushing teeth, etc. Also, the a/c split units work so well! We’ve never had an issue with temps. The property is gated with 24hr security and the reception office is open 8am-8pm for anything you need. They set us up with a golf cart and we were able to exchange US dollars for pesos with them. You won’t be disappointed staying at Nautibeach. They have a cult following for a reason. Not sure if we’ll stay anywhere else unless we do an all-inclusive.

NaBalam Hotel Isla Mujeres I love this hotel and have stayed here twice. I had Deluxe Room #1 in the Zazii-ha building which has a partial view of the beach. The room is on the second level. I was originally assigned to the building closest to the restaurant, which I had last time I visited, but I did not accept it because of the late-night restaurant noise. The hotel was closed for a few months in late 2018 for renovation. The main difference I notice in the room is the upgraded bathroom, the addition of a spa-style sink and new lighting. Its the same furniture as I remember from the previous visit and the same vintage floor tile, which is quite nice. The large room is like a suite, with a sitting area (sofa, coffee table, one side chair) and a king size bed with two side tables. There is a dresser and a small vanity table. The balcony overlooking the beach has two chairs and a table. It has a covered balcony. Air conditioning is excellent, no problems with hot water or water pressure in the rain-style shower. Housekeeping is friendly and accommodating as they helped me re-arrange furniture more to my liking. The hotel provides one large bottle of filtered water but I did not use it, preferring to buy and use bottled water. There is no towel rack in the bathroom or a line or rack to hang wet clothes. There is a very nice flat screen TV, and stations are: Ch 13 Fox Ch 21 TNT Ch 26 Space Ch 29 Cinemax Ch 37 ESPN Ch 38 VH-1 Classic Music Videos (this was my favorite) Ch. 39 Cartoon Network Ch 43 Nat Geographic Ch 46 Animal Planet Though the restaurant is part of the hotel, it is not possible to sign for meals or drinks. You must pay right away with cash or credit card. Both my friend and I found this odd. You can prepay breakfast for $17 (USD) a day, but the helpful receptionist suggested we pay as we went along, for a better value. Restaurant prices are commensurate with other restaurants in town. With spa services, it is cash on the spot, or a credit card charge with a whopping 19% service charge (not a typo). Spa prices are to a US standard. There is a charge for Yoga and classes are offered three times a day. Private classes are also available. Though I enjoy yoga, it was just too hot in January to take advantage of this activity. I love this hotel for the friendly service, the beautiful beach and the nice deluxe rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

We (my wife and I, and one other couple) stayed here for 5 days over Labor Day weekend. The rooms were basic but nice and clean. We went with an ocean front room with hot tub on the balcony. I think we may have had the best room in the hotel as we got a corner room with 270° ocean views over the Malecon. We sat out there multiple nights and took in the full moon over the ocean, waves crashing, and amazing breeze. The staff was super helpful and gave us anything we needed. The manager (Raymur) answered every email we sent before arriving promptly as well. The restaurant on site was very good. We ate there multiple times throughout our stay and everything we ordered was delicious. If I had to find something to "complain" about, it is very minor.....but the pool looks much larger in the pictures than it is. We had very low occupancy, so it was great for our stay, but I could see it being a bit overcrowded if the hotel is full. We would definitely consider staying here again. For the price we paid, it was above and beyond what we expected. Thanks you for having us.

I came to Isla Mujeres for the first time and stayed at this hotel Casa De los Suenos. I will say that this place has the most breathtaking views and amazing hospitality. The staff is seriously incredible! They helped me and my friends with EVERYTHING! From booking massages to rides around the island and my favorite part helping us book a tour to swim with whale sharks. What ever I needed or wanted I was well taken cared of. Chis the manager was so consistent not to mention his co worker Roberto. Their restaurant Kinha had delicious food as well, the omelet is my favorite! I have traveled to about 25 countries and stayed in many luxurious hotels and resorts and I must say this is my absolute favorite place I’ve been to. Definitely top of my list. The staff made me feel like family more than anything and for that I will always come here when visiting the island. I also have a future booking set because this place and the people are truly amazing!

We wanted a short getaway in Isla Mujeres and accommodation that would be comfortable without breaking the bank. This place did the trick. Our room was big and comfy and had a cute balcony overlooking busy Hidalgo street. Bathroom was clean. There is a fridge in the room (a bit noisy) and a coffeemaker which gets replenished every day. The AC worked really well and was very quiet. There is no common space for use in the posada but at this price, who cares? Staff was helpful and let us drop our bags before check in time. Playa Norte and the ferry are a two-minute walk away. We would totally stay at this place again.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful!! The staff, the beach, the location, the margs! We loved it sooo much. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything. They really went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and felt welcome. We traveled around the island and visited many beaches and decided the one at this hotel was the most fun and the water was perfect!!! The room was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. It was a nice sized room and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast every morning at the Guru restaurant. It was a perfect start to the day to eat and look out at the beach. We had dinner at Guru restaurant our first night and really enjoyed it too. I wanted to remember everyone’s names so I could personally thank them but I only remember Leo. We hope to return one day. The Lotus Hotel was the perfect place for us. We had an upstairs room with an ocean view and a large jacuzzi tub. The plunge pool rooms were full but we were very happy with the jacuzzi and ocean view.

Just got home from the Island and this Hotel Jan 2019. Overall a good experience We had a free breakfast which included orange juice, coffee, fruit plate, and a toaster to help yourself. Good omelettes and eggs to order was actually really good, for free, even better! Check in/out. Check in was a breeze got our two rooms cards and towels and some water and off we go. Check out the same thing returned everything and we were on our way. Rooms: Our room was fine had the king bed, balcony would of been nice as we had a view of some rooftops, room 202. On the positive side was very quiet only the noise of the air conditioner was ever heard. Bed was a little hard but okay pretty much a personal preference anyway. Lots of hot water and pressure in the shower. Clean room good service they provided towels on a daily basis and also beach towels. Included were a couple small bottles of water daily. Very small bathroom sink area very little room for makeup etc. We tipped the cleaning staff daily. TV had limited channels and I think they are off an antenna from Cancun only one English speaking channel and had mostly kids programming. Everything worked properly in the room. Our only real complaint about the room as the safe in the room which we requested. When we arrived there was a key in it so we thought great! Upon opening it we quickly discovered the safe is not secured to anything??? Therefore nothing preventing anyone from simply walking away with the entire safe with your valuables in it. Not sure if this was due to not enough safes for all rooms and they move them around for those who request them? No idea. Pool: It looked real clean and I noticed it being cleaned every morning. Didn't see anyone using it as it was rather cold. The pool is surrounded by the hotel on all sides so not much solar heating from the sun. Location: Good location walking distance to North Beach and only a couple blocks from Hidalgo and we pulled our suitcases from the ferry terminal. In closing: Extremely good value for our money. Free hot breakfast saves time and money spent on other things. Not fancy but certainly adequate, met our needs and expectations comfortably. It was all what we expected and perhaps more everything worked in all of the three rooms we booked along with some friends. We certainly would consider staying here again!

My wife and I visit Isla Mujeres at least once per year. We were married on the island and have come to view it as our "home away from home". Over the years, we have stayed at many places on the island, but Villas Cocos is our favorite place to stay. If you are visiting the island to get drunk and party hard every night, Villas Cocos is likely not your ideal place to stay. My wife and I come to the island to relax, and in that regard Villas Cocos can't be beaten! Located on the more secluded side of the island, Villas Cocos is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Centro area of town. It is quiet, tranquil, and the perfect place to relax with your spouse or partner. Sergio and his team are amazing! Each morning, Sergio personally handcuts an entire plate of fresh fruit for each guest for breakfast. He also goes out of his way to make sure we have access to anything we need during our stays? Need a golf cart? Sergio can have one delivered to you directly to the hotel (and cheaper than the golf cart rental places charge in Centro). Need recommendations on what beaches to visit? What restaurants to eat at? What to do for fun? Sergio's got you covered. As for the hotel itself, it is fantastic! They have their own private pool, amazing air conditioning, and consistent HOT water in the shower/whirlpool (which is noteworthy as most other hotels we have stayed at had poor water pressure and cold water). The wi-fi at Villas Cocos is probably the strongest wi-fi we've encountered on the island. And there are lots of fantastic restaurants nearby (easily accessible on foot or via golf cart) as well as fun activities. Villas Cocos has been our go-to place to stay on the island for years, and it seems like each stay just gets better than the last. If you are visiting the island for a nice, romantic, relaxing time, Villas Cocos is a phenomenal place to stay. We can't wait to return next year! Thanks Sergio and staff for being so incredible.

The location is perfect, but the environment is not clean, and there are not many choices of food. The sea view is incomparable. You can watch the sunset in the restaurant on the beach and watch the sunrise in the sea-view room. But the room facilities are not good, and the room is not clean. The elevator is small and slow, and it's dark inside.

The hotel is well situated on the north beach of Isla Mujeres. Every trendy cafe, bar or restaurant is within 1 or to block walking distance. Very convenient. Unfortunately, the actual beach sands has been swallowed tremendously by the ocean; so much that there's only about 20-25 feet left of sand to sunbathe before the waves reach you. Some like this due to being literally on the water others don't due to having nearly no space left between sunbathing chairs. So these pics of the sand beach are falsely advertised. Nonetheless, the turquoise waters makes up for the lack of sand beach space. There's an awesome little tiki restaurant towards the right of the hotel looking towards the ocean(forgot the name) but this place serves great fresh seafood with awesome drinks. They also have live music during the afternoons. To the right of this restaurant, there's a little palapa/hud tiny bar with bar stools overlooking the ocean with a loud speaker playing any kind of music you request but most importantly great drinks as well(highlyrecommended). Both pools on the hotel are on the smaller side & at times they were both crowded. I guess we came on an unusual peak period. We stayed in a 1 king bedroom suite on the 2nd floor of tower 2 with a rap-around balcony, our room was clean and charming. The only discomfort was the bed, it felt very firm(no bounce). I guess hotels in México are known for firm tough beds. We did ordered room service a couple of times & we weren't pleased with the highly over priced food overall. The food took over 45mnts to arrive & it arrived cold. At times I felt like there wasn't enough personnel or possibly a lack of good staff coordination for guests request.. It also seemed like there's no effort in presentation or quality in food flavor. In my opinion, you're better off eating outside the hotel. Overall my take is; It's a decent hotel a bit over priced for lodging with great location to culinary/nightlife options, mediocre pricy food and firm bedding.

Almost newly built resort at the costa mujeres area around 40 minute drive from the International airport of Cancun. Arrival at the reception with welcome drinks, which lead to a golf cart ride to your room. Ride took us trough the resort area and this is the time when you realize the huge size of the resort. Stunning grounds. Troughout our holiday, staff took our family and our 4 year-old as we were valued customers even if the time wasn't the best for travel community workers.. (covid roaming around the globe) Few special mentions has to be addressed towards the program specialists Norbert and Thomas for making our time fly at the pool. Pool area waitress Yajaira was amazingly sunny person and always made our day very special with her amazing humour and care for our smallest. She knew our drinks and schedule so we didn't even have to ask for a refill after a day or two! Kids club was a hit with our 4 year-old. Arts, crafts a lot of playing outdoors and at the pool with nice touch from the Kids Club workers Yunuem, Sandra and Valeria. She just noted that I have to send regards to you all and thanks for making her the bracelets! Best dinner place from all the exceptional restaurants in the resort are was the Japanese Sushi place with the chef Jorge whose love for food can be seen from the sushi plates he assembles. Kudos for making our experience 10/10! There were times when there were room for improvement from reception customer service and for some of the meals on the A la Carte menus in few of the restaurants, but this is possibly because the overall exceeds all your expectations so that becomes the norm very fast. 9,9/10 for the entire stay and especially taking in consideration the situation with Covid19. The measures needed were put in place(information regarding hand washing, sanitizers available throughout etc.) without compromising the holiday spirit. As if this was normal and it actually felt like the pandemic didn't affect our holiday even one bit. Hopefully we get to stay at your location soon again!

Really cool, fun, and clean hostel. My husband and I stayed in one of their private rooms for 5 days here. The room was awesome- huge king sized bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, balcony, TV- very spacious. Felt like being in a big hotel room. Their dormitory rooms also looked nice and spacious although we didn’t stay in them. A nice breakfast of eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, and toast is included with your stay. They also have fabulous cocktails and really great food that are super reasonably priced... check out their all you can eat pizza on Monday/Friday nights! Only $100 pesos and they home make all the dough themselves. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They also have a really cool rooftop bar where you can go hang out and watch the sunset. This place is also very central and you can easily walk to everything! Would go back and stay there tomorrow if we could :)

My husband & I spent a week on Isla & had a wonderful time. We had been there once before, just a day trip, & fell in love! Bahia Chac Chi is a great hotel location, close enough to the action but far enough away for a quiet night sleep. About a block away from the ferry terminal, about 2-3 blocks away from many restaurants & shopping. The staff at the hotel are great, so friendly & helpful. MaTe at the front desk was awesome, she went above & beyond. The ladies that clean the rooms decorated ours for my husband's birthday, balloons, a huge "towel" cake, birthday sign (in Spanish :) So special!! The breakfast room on the fourth floor is amazing, out one window is the Caribbean bay facing Cancun, the opposite window is a view of the Atlantic Ocean. The breakfast itself is continental, fruits, breads, coffee, juice. A light start to the day. Hotel has an elevator which is important to us. I would absolutely stay there again, highly recommend !!

We just arrived back in TX from a 4 day trip to Privelege Aluxes at Isla Mujeres. I’m not sure where to start this review, it was all so amazing. We chose all inclusive, because it was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect. We usually do all inclusive at other places as well, one of the main reasons being it’s not totally safe to leave resorts in some places. Glad we did AI this time, but not sure we would again at Isla. The food at hotel was good, however part of what makes Isla great is getting out, mingling with locals, and trying the restaurants which were all amazing! I feel that we ate and drank about 3x more than normal because we “paid” for it. The staff was amazing to say the least. Ivan, Cinthia at front desk, Ricardo the server - hands down the best customer service ever, and I’m a critic! They rolled out the red carpet in every way. Too many ways to mention. It was my birthday the day of check-in, and the next day Ivan showed up with a cake and champagne! The resort is very clean, rooms are spacious, pools are beautiful, and the restaurant by the beach has a very chill atmosphere and beautiful palm trees, music, lighted paths - just top notch. I can’t say enough great things. Also, my kids are adults now so I appreciate not being around little kids on a vacation at this chapter in life. We visited Mia resort for a day pass to hang out in that beautiful shallow blue water - so lovely, but a LOT of kids. If mine were little that is where I would go too. It’s perfect because the water is shallow and more calm. It made me appreciate my choice to stay at Privelege Aluxes even more. It’s all about your personal preference and who you are traveling with of course. I’m definitely a fan of PA and will be back soon!

We went to Isla Mujeres March 13th, for a week and then was to go to Sun Palace for a week, however COVID 19 arrived. A few days into our vacation we had to plan on how to get home, however we made the best of it. This was our 3rd time to Isla, and with all the COVID stuff going on the staff were as pleasant and accomodating as possible. Roxana who also remembered us was amazing having things sent to our room or anything we needed while we were there, always making sure everything was perfect When we arrived Jesus greeted us with a big smile and our welcome drinks. Martha at the front desk was smiliing and remembered us from 2 years ago, and is always a pleasure to deal with. Cristobal was there as well and set us up with our bands and took care of us. At the lobby bar Edy made us some drinks before we headed out to the pool. He was there 2 years ago and rememebered us, which makes it feel like coming home when the staff remember us. Pilar well she is amazing, always so helpful and making things right, I got a great big hug when I saw her as we dealt with her last year and have stayed friends. Alejandra is new to the resort since we were there last, big smile and accomodating just as Pilar. She had Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and one night rose pedals in our room. These ladies always go above and beyond, and they are part of the reason we keep coming back. In the restaurant whether it was breakfast or dinner Juan, Christian, Moises,Carlos, Wilma, Alvero, Roberto, Andy, always looked after all our needs. Their sense of humour, their caring mannerism was outstanding. No one ever passed by you without asking if you needed anything or were okay. Always smiling and happy. The other thing that impressed me was the waiters remembered the Wine we liked from the night before and brought that to the table, its those extra touches that make Palace amazing. By the pool bar which is where we were everyday either sitting at the pool bar or by it, Victor, Ulises, Arley always brought us drinks and food. Constantly checking to see if we needed anything and always smiling no matter what they were doing. Martin made my lunch everyday at the pool bar, the best calamari ever, and the pizzas were amazing. He too always had a smile and was so very sweet. The two Activities/Entertainment guys and Pool Conceirge,Santiago and Boris and Ferman, always made a point to come by and say hi and to chat with us. Even though the occupancy was very low, they worked hard at trying to get a water volleyball game going. Santiago did Spanish Lessons, a game on the white board. It amazed me everyday even though there was not alot of guests they all interacted with everyone which was so nice. We did the Romantic Dinner which is always so nice except this time the mosquitos were out, we have never had that problem. Moises went and got the OFF and we used that, it did help. Another example of an employee going above and beyond. We had the

We stayed in room 18. The room itself is plenty big with a kitchenette and decent size refrigerator. Most things needed are provided. The room has a very large patio we enjoyed nightly. Note that the room faces east and will have bright morning sun. If this is not something you enjoy, you may want a different room. With that said, you will also be missing out on some great views and ocean breezes. This hotel is a very short walk to the Super Aqi grocery store and many good restaurants and bars, yet far enough away from the ferry landing and loud strip. However it is very walkable to get to from the ferry. There are plenty of places just outside of the hotel to rent golf carts (right across the road) to explore the island. We had great service as well. ***Note: sometimes the internet is very weak or unusable. You more than likely wont be able to stream anything. You should be able to access apps, text and use basic internet services.*** Also there is a great little local convenience store right next door for your late night cerveza requirements. Go and enjoy it. Don't be the annoying intoxicated tourist and you will have a fantastic time.

My family and I decided on a last minute trip to Mexico. I chose Catalonia Costa Mujeres based off of pictures and it’s new modern vibe. I have been to a lot of resorts and this one exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and modern and had comfortable beds. The housekeeping staff were wonderful coming even 2 times a day to tidy up. The food was delicious. We loved our mornings at the buffet. Lunch options were also great ranging from Mexican to Italian to Asian. There were also some really cool food trucks that opened on the last days there with fish and chips and hot dogs. For dinner there was a selection of 3-4 restaurants. Being new not all restaurants were open yet but we had a great time at each and everything was delicious. The beachfront was beautiful and perfect for a run or to watch the sunrise. Could use nicer chairs would be my only criticism. At night we enjoyed the shows, cocktails, and dancing. The facilities like the gym were great. Lots of equipment and had everything you would need for a good workout. I particularly loved the spinning room. We cannot talk about the event staff enough! We had to best time at the pool and met so many fun people doing activities throughout the day. From aqua aerobics to zumba to crazy games we had a blast. We wanted to thank Manuel, Eder, Damian, Fernanda, Ashley, Gigi, Alex, Alejandro, Geraldine and everyone on the team that made our time so much fun. Last but not least we would also like to shout out to the amazing bartenders and wait staff. Everyone was so attentive and made each meal and drink enjoyable. Jose, Jorge, Medi, Adrian, Erick, Oscar, Juan, Aldo, Pablo and everyone that looked after us. We originally booked for 7 days and extended to 10 days. We will definitely be back we cannot rave about it enough!

We moved south from the north beach to adopt a puppy from Isla animals. It was the perfect spot to bond with our new family member. A very peaceful setting with beautiful views of the ocean and pool right from our room. Good food and friendly service. We could walk to the massive grocery store and there were restaurants along the way. Nice bathroom, and firm but comfortable beds. The TV worked well but we only used it one night. WiFi was available in the pool, restaurant and bar area. This drove my 13 year old nuts but he started enjoying lounging around the pool in the evenings. We felt very safe there. He could play on his phone and listen to the peaceful sounds of the wind blowing through the trees. The sunsets were spectacular. If, or when we go back we will be staying there. The owner was nice enough to give me credit for my mistake when booking. I booked and paid for two days longer on Expedia. They gave me a credit for their bar and restaurant for the amount that I over paid for.

The room was very basic. You get what you pay for. Everything was very dated but it was clean and definitely in one of the best locations. It was exactly what we expected based on the reviews and price. We loved being across the street from the best beach on the island. We didn't have any problems at the resort. I would stay there again. This didn't really affect us but at night, there tends to be music on the beach played from the back of a vehicle that was loud and could be heard from inside our place. We were there from Friday night thru Sunday and on Sunday night, I am pretty sure it went till 1am. It didn't bother us but I am sure some would complain about it. If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower close to everything, this is a great spot for the $$.

Stayed at the Rocamar Feb 8-15, 2020 in an Ocean Front Room # 29, top floor. Was a great location, walking distance to all you need even tho some of the surrounding streets appeared sketchy at night it was totally safe. Rooms were clean and simple, beds comfortable, lots of puffy pillows, AC worked great, had to turn it off many times as it was too cold. No mini bar as was mentioned on the website but we did have a mini fridge which was great for keeping drinks cold. We didn't have anywhere to put our clothing except for a few coat hangers above the safe, so ended up living out of our suitcase for the week. Water pressure in the shower was not much more than a dribble and would go from scorching hot to cold while in use. Minimal counter area in washroom to put your things. All toilet paper on the island must go in the trash, no flushing it! No tissue, so glad I thought to pack my own as I don't like to use toilet paper to blow my nose. Keep the patio door closed, otherwise the floors get dangerously slippery. WIFI DOES NOT WORK IN THE ROOM, WILL ONLY WORK IN COMMON AREA OUTSIDE ROOMS. Our room was not available for late check-out as they were expecting new guests but they did have a shower on the second floor we could use, it's just a shower/toilet not a hospitality room but better than nothing. This is def not a 4 star hotel, I think it's rated at 2.5 stars which is pretty accurate. Next time to Isla we are def renting a house with friends, great little island, would love to return one day!

The hotel is very comfortable, you can spend money to drive a jet ski, the spa is very expensive, 300 dollars, the bed on the beach you have to pay 300 dollars to become a member to use, but the white chair is not used. Good food, especially there is a 24-hour service to the room. I eat French steaks and groupers in the evening. It's good, free cocktails and juices, and a rich buffet at noon. One thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is that people here are looking forward to tipping you. I know that the waiter gets more money by tipping, but I don’t want to pay for it all the time, though not simply. This hotel has this feeling, but the entire Cancun is like this.

We got to Isla and the place we had booked was horrid, so we sought out a new hotel for our 3 nights there. One of the store owners near by took us to this place and we were able to secure a king size room, We loved it it was clean and we had a balcony overlooking the street and a second one into Rolandis restaurant. They were very accommodating and got us a mini fridge for our room and offered a 10% discount for the attached restaurant.. We got to watch the action from our balcony at night. Yes there is noise but nothing horrible and we just went with it for the overall experience. Wifi was spotty but whatever if u are on the Island go explore don't hang out in your room playing on wifi. Would recommend, ask for a front facing room with a balcony if u can Thank you for helping us some tired travellers looking for nicer accommodations at the last minute.

Very basic room, no coffee maker, phone or alarm clock, no decor to speak of but clean. The tv did have two english channels, HBO. Internet was sketchy in the room and very slow in the lobby. No beach chairs, no beach towels, thankfully we brought our own. Air conditioner was wonderful and we did get extra towels when requested. The lagoon outside was beautiful azure blue water and white sand. To access the beach you had to go through the lobby. They had lovely gates lining the property to the beach but they were all chained up, I can only guess for security reasons. Shame they couldn't come up with a secure system to access them. Didn't see any employees during our ten day stay except for the office staff. If you needed anything you had to go down to the office in the lobby as no in house phone system. Quiet hotel, great location. Walking distance (5 min) to "Playa Norte", most popular beach on the island where you can rent chairs and an umbrella for the day. It's a public beach so had to put up with the vendors selling their wares. "North Garden" was our go to restaurant, fabulous fresh food every meal! On check out we tried to get our boarding passes printed in the office but they couldn't figure it out so they sent us to another hotel to get them.
