Great stay. Staff is always down to earth and helpful. Some even remember me from previous visits. Rates remain competitive as ever. I recommend this hotel for any extended stat experience whether it be business or personal.

Hampton Inn is always a safe bet. I feel like I always know what I am going to get and am almost always pleased. However, this is an older property. We checked in and our suite was kind of beat up. Scratched furniture etc. Upon inspection, the bed sheets were dirty. I asked for housekeeping and there was no one on duty. While I was gone to the front desk asking about this, my daughter used the restroom and the toilet would not flush. The front desk lady was very nice and apologetic. She let us change rooms, but they had no more suites available so we had to go to a regular room which was smaller than my needs and we were cramped all weekend. This room also had scratched furniture and felt worn out. I won’t give up on Hampton Inn, as we stay at them all the time and enjoy, but just sharing our experience to let others know this is particular hotel is NOT the norm for Hampton Inn.

Let's start of what the hotels is excellent in. They have a great front staff who are friendly and very helpful. Another great aspect of the hotel is that the hotel is very cool in humid Louisville weather with ACs running in the hallways and the rooms. The pool was also excellent. Lastly the rates were cheap for long stay on priceline. Though the hotel had many problems in other areas. For one, the hotel room had a slight smoke smell in the room like a smoker was in the room. They try to remedy the smell with air freshners for smokers though doesn't help. I smelled the smoke when first entering also smoke in the bathtub where mold is between the tub fitter. They should probably seal that area with caulk. Another problem yes the room was surfaced clean well but really needs a deep cleaning. Everytime I wore my white socks; they were dirty in seconds after touching the floor and carpet. It probably doesn't help stains in carpet and one office chair in breakfast area. So if you have more then one person someone will be eating near the couch. A Third problem is that their cable channels are not working consistently. Some channels are showing the wrong display channels, some channels came in crystal clean, while others are fuzzy. In addition, I and my wife were shocked by bed lamps stationed in the wall; so we just kept them off. AC also broken in laundry room or needs service. Lastly the roll out couch bed is small and not comfortable. The pillows and blankets were also not that great very scratchy and not comfortable. So overall not pleased staying here while visiting my in-laws. Probably won't stay here again because all the problems.

As I continue to stay here, the staff, as always are very nice and helpful. We have a lot of choices in where to stay in Louisville, but we choose this place over all of them. It has a very good location, close to the interstate, many gas stations and restaurants close by also. Many of the rooms here have been completely remodeled with all new furniture and curtains. Very clean also. I highly recommend Comfort Suites East for your stay, if its long or short!

This was our 3rd stay in a Comfort Inn while on vacation. We stayed in one in Ohio and two in Kentucky. The first two were fantastic, but this one not so much. I’ve stayed in a hotel before like this, and it wasn’t pleasant. I want to warn other travelers. I hardly know where to start. Basically these folks bought a hotel they can’t maintain. They have signs all over asking to over look renovating. I believe from what I can see it’s a DIY, and while I admire a go getter, the skill sets just not there. Old furniture, dirty dog smell carpeting, windows foggy from filth. They were leaning hard on Covid to close anything that would cost them any money. Pool closed when other KY hotel had theirs open. Food available if you asked for it. The other KY hotel breakfast was open, and they had it spaced out nicely with social distance markers. This hotel had dining room chairs stacked up looking very tacky. Other hotels had chairs still neatly arranged. The inside and outside of this place is filthy. The only reason I stayed is because we checked in with only minutes to spare to get to an event, and I was too tired on my return to go looking for a new hotel. The next morning we were out of there in a flash. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. So sad it tarnishes this brand of hotel. Never again!

Stayed for 1 month while working during June/July. Staff went over the top to make sure I was taken care of. Linda was the best housekeeper I have ever had & management was always close when I had a comment or suggestion. Upon entering all I could smell was fresh, clean laundry, which beats all the old musty-smelling hotels out there. Smokers are on the 3rd floor & I never smelled smoke anywhere else in the building...not even in or around the elevator. Laundry room was always clean, halls were always clean, neighbors were always quiet (I worked 3rd shift), room was spotless, AC was cold. If I had to complain about anything it would be the sitting chair in the room was just a hard, stand alone, uncomfortable chair. I really liked (as a single, traveling for work, female) that the doors were always locked...you had to have a key to get in, except for the front desk area. Even coming in at 3am, I felt safe in the parking lot. My family came to surprise me, but their surprise was ruined when the front desk called to let me know I had visitors...she would not just let them in. If I return to Louisville for work again, I will most definitely be staying here!

Thank you La Quinta for making traveling with our dog pleasant! From the moment my dog stepped inside the door, he was treated very politely which of course makes pet parents very happy. Alisha was working when we arrived and she greeted us and offered my pup a couple of milk bones which was a kind gesture. We were given a second floor room close to the stairwell for easy in and out access closest to the potty station. There are two designated potty break places and LaQuinta was kind enough to supply waste bags and a trash can which was very much appreciated. Our dog is a 50lb mixed breed who is quite well behaved. He has made traveling with him easy and we don’t want to be the one to ruin it for others so we gladly pick up after him. My only complaint is not even related to LaQuinta directly but at other pet parents who stay here. While walking my dog, there are many land-mines left behind by inconsiderate pet owners. It makes navigating the grassy area dangerous to avoid stepping in dog mess, especially at night. Someone had stepped in it and scraped it off right in front of the entrance to the building. It was smeared all over the rug and curb. Yuck! If I can pick up after mine, other people should pick up after theirs. This is why more facilities don’t allow pets to stay and I completely understand that issue. If I were LaQuinta, I would install a couple of small cameras and start adding a $10 pick up fee for dog owners that don’t clean up after their pets. Seriously, the bag and can are right there; use it people! Now, the hotel itself is practically spotless. The lobby is clean, the hallways are clean and better yet, our room and bathroom were clean! No dog pee smell, nothing unpleasant at all. The decor is modern and contemporary. Our executive king suite on the second floor was carpeted, well designed and spacious. There was a microwave and mini-fridge in our room. There is also a full closet with door to hang garments and overcoats. The only thing I didn’t like about our room is that the doorway is not sealed very well so light shines in from the hallway at night. I like to sleep in total darkness and between the door light and the window light, I tossed and turned a bit. The dog slept juuussttt fine though. We really appreciate your hospitality and accommodating our pet. We hate leaving him at home alone. The linens and towels were nice, the pillows were fluffy down which I really liked. The mattress itself wasn’t too comfortable overall. My husband prefers firmness and said it was too firm for him even. Not a huge deal but be prepared. The breakfast consisted of eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, yogurt, boiled egg, cereal, muffins, juice and milk for the most part. The indoor pool is small but it is clean and well maintained. The workout room was nice as well with a treadmill, elliptical, exercise ball, kettle bells and a free weight bench. We will gladly stay here again and recommend this facility to friends and family who travel with an

Spent a week in Louisville and took a chance on this hotel based on reviews. Original reservation was for 3 nights but I extended to 5 nights. Room is modern, clean, comfortable and priced really well. Employees in the halls made eye contact, smiled, and greeted me. Nice vibe here. Not close to downtown but that wasn't important for my purposes. If in the city again I will look for a room here.

First of all, this hotel was very nice and very clean. Pretty new, I think. It was also very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The room doors are soft close, so no slamming doors. I slept well. The staff was friendly. The lobby area was interesting and trendy. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very well-presented. But, the eggs and bacon were not particularly tasty. I tried it the first morning and skipped it the rest of my stay. But they had pastries, fruit waffles, etc. The rooms are pretty small. You don't get your typical desk/desk chair and side chair combination. You get one chair that is really an office chair on rollers. Then the "desk" is a small, narrow surface on wheels. It's nice because you can put it where you want. But there's not much work surface. Similarly, there are few other surfaces in the room. And they are all very small and or narrow. There is no closet. Just a couple of places to hang stuff either on a rod or on hooks on the wall. There are no drawers whatsoever in the room. So you live our of your suitcase of just sit your clothing out on one of the other surfaces. Regarding lighting, when you are in bed, there is one switch on one side of the bed to turn off the lights. And, when you get up in the morning, if you are not on the side of the bed with the light switch, you find your way to the bathroom in the dark. Fortunately, the "black out" shade really doesn't accomplish the purpose. So, if the sun is out, you have light coming in the room. That helps. Also, one side of the bed has a very narrow shelf on the wall. The other has a small little round table. If you are a CPAP user like I am, this can be problematic. Particularly so if maybe you are used to sleeping on one side of the bed or the other. Others have commented on the dispensers for the bathroom. If you are good with that approach, it's great. But if you prefer bar soap, even at the sink, bring your own. The bathroom is roomy and well-lit. Good counter space. The shower pressure is wimpy. They're very much into the water conservation thing. That can present issues with the toilet, as well. If you know what I mean. All in all, it was a pretty good stay. But, I probably won't look to stay at the Tru properties in the future. Unless the rate is super attractive relative to other properties. Just too many little annoyances. I definitely wouldn't recommend a family staying in a room. They're just too small.

The location is very good, it is more convenient to go, the price is superior, the room is bigger, there is a desk, the office is very convenient, the breakfast is better than expected, and will come to Louisville later.

Stay away! This hotel was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke in hall and room. Other guests were practically yelling and slamming doors in the middle of the night (3am), keeping us awake. The heater did not work, which we discovered in the middle of the night with 20 degree temps outside. This was mentioned at checkout and staff did not seem to care. To the hotel -- don't you dare suggest I should have brought this up in the middle of the night to switch rooms after unpacking everything. You should take responsibility for something so basic! Plus, as I mentioned, staff seemed they could not care less. Breakfast was pathetic by modest standards, with practically no room to move in the food area and two or three tiny tables to eat at. Internet was unsecured (who does this these days?)
