We stayed in the family bungalow and enjoyed it very much. Two spacious rooms with mosquito nets and hangers for your clothes. Love the verandah to hang out on, with large table, a day bed and a hammock. No AC but fans in each bed room and also one we could move to the verandah if needed. Bathroom was clean and nice. They come in and tuck in the mosquito nets for you in the evening, which is a nice touch. Restaurant area is spacious and food was good. Wide selection of beers. Location is a bit far from town but a really nice place if you just want to hang out and relax.

Dilapidated old buildings crying out for restoration… Once-glorious colonials slowly succumbing to decades of neglect and humidity… Bygone relics of a golden age… You find them by the score in Kampot. And they all seem to have tales to tell. Until 2016, a shuttered movie theater on Street 700 was just another of these crumbling treasures. But after a prolonged and meticulous multi-year refurbishment, a Technicolor façade now glistens, undoubtedly overjoyed at the wild success of its much-needed facelift. Someone, go grab Mr. DeMille… This Old Cinema is ready for its close-up. You can thank Pauline and Bas—the charismatic French-Dutch duo whose talent and sweat are the driving forces behind this six-month-old bijou—for its most welcome resurrection. Any conversation with either of the two proprietors will inevitably drift towards the painstaking renovation, an epic labor of love that witnessed the theater’s transformation from derelict to divine. The shoot may have been arduous, but the final cut is nothing short of showstopping. Pauline and Bas have combined their skills to create a masterpiece, pouring an astonishing amount of thought and energy into the project. The attention to detail is exquisite, from the striking floor tiles (made to order at a studio in Siem Reap) to the stylized art deco room numbers (painted on each door by Pauline herself). There are stories hiding within every alcove, and the hosts are delighted to share them with their guests. And then there’s a little scene-stealer named Marcel, the Old Cinema’s resident house cat. If you’re not careful, the affable little imp might even try to sneak into your room. Otherwise, he’s usually to be found lounging somewhere near the front desk, always happy to be the object of your affection. If you’ve come to Cambodia on the hunt for fading vestiges of French-Indochina, you’ll likely give up the search upon eyeing the impossibly elegant restaurant-bar that’s at the heart of the Old Cinema’s lobby. It’s the perfect setting to quaff local brews or sate your curiosity with a spicy scoop of Kampot pepper chocolate ice cream. Wherever you look, you’re surrounded by an undeniable, omnipresent magic. To one side, a greenery-studded courtyard where ambient light spills effortlessly downwards, bathing the airy interiors in a soft glow; to the other, an attractive swimming pool that appears all the more inviting when it catches the morning sun. Pauline and Bas are obviously seasoned travelers themselves, with a litany of trips in their wake that has provided ample opportunity to study what’s worked—and what hasn’t—in other hotels. They’ve learned that it’s the little things that make the difference. A few examples? Well, for starters, breakfast (included in the rate) is served until 2pm, so you’ll never risk sleeping so late you’ve missed it. They’ll also fill up reusable bottles with potable water whenever needed. And once you've removed the key from the wall upon leaving your

Adam and Mark and his team were truly amazing and came to me and wife's rescue over the new year. We were booked somewhere else which was a dump and we found the B resort where we asked if they could accommodate us on New years eve at short notice. As they were not officially open they were ready to help us out. So the rooms were clean, fresh and done to a high spec. The en suite shower was perfect and the beds so comfy you wanted to sleep all day. The pool was refreshing and sunbeds to relax on. Sadly as they were still working on the resort, we could not get food, but did have the option to buy drinks, which was fine with us. All the staff were helpful and friendly, offering advice on places to see, eat or even to have a drink. The views at night across the water were amazing. This resort is across the bridge from the main centre which is perfect for relaxing with only being a 5 minute walk from everything. This hotel has a great future ahead and the potential is massive once everything is in place, great location, great decor, great facilities and amazing staff. Good luck.

Breakfast is good, there are ten choices, the surrounding environment is general, but it is quite convenient, very close to Durian Square, walking around the river is also good, as long as the sun is not available, the hotel has free bikes to borrow, and the children are very happy Yes, I did n’t choose the riverside, I ’m afraid it will be noisy sooner or later, but it feels good, the service is more attentive, and we called the car for the New Year, without asking the price, but it is estimated that it will be cheaper on weekdays!

This hotel was opened by a young guy and his English is great! People are also very patient. We chartered to Forest Park and Westport. They all helped him to contact him. I must give him a compliment! Let's talk about the hotel, this price has given me a surprise, our room is on the top floor, the room facilities are general, but very clean! I have set a total of two rooms, but the two rooms are not the same size, the one inside is very good, the other is generally the same. Because it is the top floor, there is a big terrace, and it is really beautiful to enjoy the sunrise and sunset here. The location of the hotel is not far from the river, and it takes about three or four minutes to walk. It is also very close to the Jackfruit Square, and it is almost five minutes to walk. It is very convenient. It is very quiet because it is not on the main road. My room is for breakfast. If you want to eat, you will pay $2.50 per person.

When planning our Cambodian adventure, I asked for advice via the Tripadvisor forum, and I am so glad that I did as it led us to the wonderful Rikitikitavi Hotel in Kampot. Our 5 night stay here was one of the highlights of our month long trip. The hotel is of a high standard and very comfortable. The bedroom was perfect and it was good to have air con, a fridge and a lovely bathroom with the option of a hot shower. The food in the restaurant was so delicious that we ate there every night and worked our way through the menu. The Cambodian meals were the best we experienced on our trip. What made our stay though was the fantastic staff. They have been so well trained and every single person gave first class service. Huge thanks to Thien and the team for helping us plan our days and for inviting us to share in the blessing by the monks. Kampot was a lovely place to visit. It was lovely to sit in the hotel bar overlooking the river drinking cocktails whilst watching all the fishing boats go out to sea, the sun go down and the brightly lit pleasure boats set off. We enjoyed our moped trips to the salt fields, cave temple, secret lake, pepper plantation and Bokor Mountain. Our visit to Kep was interesting and confirmed that we had made the right choice by staying in Kampot.

The location is a bit small, but there is no difference in having a car ^ _ ^ It ’s a pity that I do n’t have more time to stay there Or stay for an extra day ^ _ ^ Pretty clean Too cheap So so clean The comfort of the bed is also ok Of course not comparable to high-end hotels But compared to the price of Express Hotel I feel really good The boss is very enthusiastic

Although not the smartest hotel on our Cambodia tour it was perhaps our favourite. Yes the bungalow was small and simple and a bit dusty, but sitting out on the little veranda watching the river was great. A cool breeze from the water. Yes the fishing boats return from their nights fishing at 5am and the party boats go by and I imagine the neighborhood bars are noisy at the weekend but we didn't mind. The staff were helpful and the crepes at breakfast very good.

The hotel environment is really great, the service is really attentive, and the waiters are basically responsive. The most intimate thing is that the staff actually helped to wash my dirty car very clean. This is what I personally feel most heartwarming, and it must be my first choice next time on vacation.

Breakfast is simple and can be full. Mainly Linda Road, a lot of trucks, can not sleep. Everything else is fine. The possibility of an extra bed is small and there is no room. The parking lot can only park around 9 cars.

We stayed here for two nights on a tour. Room was large with a room with a balcony that overlooked the town and you could see the river around the corner too. The bathroom was nice, large walk in shower with good water pressure. Room was clean, no sign of mosquitos or any other bugs. Toiletries to use. There was a breakfast buffet with eastern food and another breakfast room on the ground floor where you could choose off a ticket menu thing (you get the yellow tickets from reception I think), we had pancakes and honey which were nice. There is also a mini market on the same floor which has toiletries, snacks and water. Reception were helpful in getting us extra toilet rolls etc. There are two lifts which work fine. Location is good too and a short walk to markets, restaurants and the river. Would stay here again.

Not recommended. The bed was full of ants, and the hygiene was generally poor, and there were no blankets, so I put a thin sheet as a quilt. The towels on the bed were actually wet, too disgusting, and the faucet was bad. Worth the price. Neither the boss nor the staff smiled. This is the most expensive and worst place to stay. It is a good place, next to the old bridge, can see the river view, but on the street, it is noisy at night.

This guesthouse is very well-located within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, shops etc, as well as the lovely riverfront promenade. The boat rides and floating restaurants are just nearby. The rooms are very basic and the mattresses are a bit hard. We experienced some power trips and blackouts. However, the staff were pleasant overall.
