Was even offered the use of the permit the following morning if we wanted to visit the town. Room was a decent size with a double bed, comfortable sofa and ensuite with a bath, (as requested) Had a late night drink at the bar following the concert. Reasonably priced at £7.00 for a pint and a half of lager. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, probably one of the tastiest I can remember. All in all brilliant for £77 mid week B&B.

|0.04km from city centerDidn't have a clean smell when entering the bed and breakfast, the rooms were dirty and only allocated 1 towel per person. the beds were metal which creaked, the extra blanket which was stuffed in the wardrobe was dirty and was only 1 for a triple room, the bathroom was thick with mould on the ceiling and around the bath there was fleas in the bathroom and had a broken Extractor fan, the bathroom consists of a toilet and bath, the sink was allocated in the bedroom with a shavers light above with no bulb in and a tv aerial which was wired to the shavers light above the sink, there was stains on the carpet the walls were dirty with stains on the wall coffee/ tea and blood stains there was a scorched mark on the carpet the rooms smelt and the sash windows had no way of keeping it open and one was sealed shut the curtains were falling apart only a few lights worked. When speaking to other guests they had nothing good to say about it and all who knew the whitehouse says it's the worse bed and breakfast in Llandudno.

The full welsh breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Great location, 2 minute walk from the great Orme tram station and very close to the main shops/cafes/bars and restaurants and beach/pier. The accommodation is a separate entrance behind the bar. I like the design of the spiral staircase very British style. The room is exquisite and comfortable with an old small fan. The restaurant downstairs was fully booked. They arranged for us to sit in the corner of the bar for dinner. The products were very good. I personally prefer the decoration and atmosphere of the bar. It was a very pleasant night! The breakfast on the second day is half a la carte, that is, the cold cuts are self-service and the a la carte hot food is still exquisite and delicious😋... Overall very good, especially recommended to friends who want to experience a bar-type hotel!

We booked 6 weeks in advance and checked with reception by phone that we'd have a sea view room each, could park, and a full English vegetarian breakfast including plant based sausages would be available - all prior to booking. We were assured of all of these so booked 3 nights to include on site parking, chargeable at £6 a night, although we could have parked roadside outside the front door for the same price. The reality was that we had to park in another car park down the road, our rooms had no view, fit to be store cupboards - not bedrooms, my room smelt unpleasant and both rooms were dingy and cramped. We complained and were then allocated more spacious single rooms with a sea view, which is what we'd booked. Still my bathroom was cramped, you could rest your head on the sink when using the loo, the shower unit was old, broken rail, dated furniture, curtains carpet, etc etc. There were no vegetarian sausages at breakfast 2 mornings running, apparently the 'order hadn't come in'. No mushrooms either, just baked beans, hash browns, egg & tomatoes. Meat sausages and bacon were plentiful! Despite raising this at the desk there was no interest or solution offered from the staff. We asked what they'd expect of the rest of the customers if the meat order hadn't come in. They agreed there would be a riot. They got some veggie sausages for the 3rd morning after I pointed out that Asdas sell them 5 minutes up the road. By this time we'd lost confidence in them being prepared & handled seperately from the meat. The chef (if indeed he is a real chef) was so abrupt and unapologetic that we felt unsure about eating them. He brought us 2 each on the last morning, which we wrapped in napkins and fed to the gulls after checking out. Altogether the hotel service was indifferent, careless, rude, disorganised, they fobbed us and other guests off with lame excuses & contradictory information. We overheard another guest experiencing the same as us regards vegetarian breakfast, and complaints about the food & service in general from yet more guests. It was not good value, I'd describe it as a hostel, not a hotel. The location was pretty much its only saving grace as it was seafront and near town. The bar area was pleasant but service was very slow. We met a lady who had stayed at the Premier Inn in a double room, spacious, with a roomy ensuite, clean, modern & up to date, with a full cooked breakfast for £66.00 a night. Our experience was the opposite, forlorn furnishings & a meagre, limited choice of vegetarian options for breakfast. We paid £76.00 a night. No brainer, stay at the Premier Inn

The room was clean and newly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There was a fan and a large window that opened onto an out side staircase. The view was of the car park and buildings. The hotel also had a nice bar.
Overall it was a very comfortable stay. I would only complain about the lack of wifi in the room.

Less choice than some places as in there was no meat. But to be honest it was nice to have a light breakfast for a change. There was fruit yogurt toast cereal and a choice of eggs on toast. I booked directly with the hotel and paid £50 for bed and breakfast for two. I considered it a bargin. Yes there are a few corners and bits that could be better. That said you get what you pay for. If you want better you expect to pay significantly more. A happy customer that will return.

Nice lady in reception checked us in and gave us keys,we had 4 single rooms. Then we were told breakfast was from 8.30am, we had booked there because the website said 7.30, which we needed for getting away by 8.30 to the days golf. We were told the website hadn't been changed since the current owners came 4 years ago !! No solution was offered and we said we'd have to eat elsewhere despite paying for a breakfast. Later that evening, we were talking to a really nice young man from Bangladesh who was working there,and we happened to mention the breakfast problem. He rang the owner, and told us he could come in early to make our breakfast. What a star. And a very good breakfast it was, top marks to him. My room(201) is a decent size, wide single bed,although feeling a spring in my ribs a little. Powerful shower over the bath. The kettle could do with replacing, tatty handle. Generally a nice room for the price and fine for a night or two.

The Escape is as much about the personal service and individual experience as the decor, and it's nothing like travel experiences elsewhere. I've stayed in top five star hotels in Knightsbridge, but this is nothing like them and I'd rather stay here anytime! I'd describe it as being like a luxurious fluffy blanket that envelops you gently throughout your stay. The whole experience is very personal, very special and truly feels like an escape from modern life, although the individual decor is very much a part of that - we stayed in the Coastal room and loved the nautical theme. From the warm welcome from Lowri to our friendly chat with Sam the next morning, we loved every minute of being here. While it was certainly the most comfortable business trip of my working life, the next trip will definitely be for pleasure!

|0.34km from city centerWe've stayed here several times over the years and always found the hotel well lit outside and warm and welcoming inside. Not now I'm afraid. We arrived on a cold , wet and windy day to find the front door locked. Within minutes I got a call to ask if we were still coming and I pointed out we were parked at the front of the hotel. Very few lights on and when we got to our room it was cold. Apparently the heating doesn't come on until 5 o'clock as ”most guests like to be out during the day”. Not on a day like this in December they don't. And we had a big room. After a visit to a local cafe we returned to find the heating still off. I tried the reception buzzer on three occasions and 'phoned the mobile three times before I got an answer. Heating came on. The smell in the room was reminiscent of football changing rooms in the 1960's - a hint of wintergreen. Room was big, shower room warm and bright and the shower itself efficient. Later we found the TV didn't work , which they changed for us, and we also had a chair with a broken leg. Both caused by the previous occupants apparently. Uncomfortable night as the room never really got warm. Also disturbed by the rattling windows which I fixed by wedging in some cardboard. Breakfast was good and plentiful, but, again , the room wasn't warm. My wife bought an extra fleece to wear in the hotel. The bedroom was only serviced twice during our five days. As it seemed we were the only guests I'd have thought it would be easy to make the beds etc. Somewhat disturbingly there are two signs saying ”It's forbidden to bring in your own food”. Could we phrase that a bit more kindly? What was once a well lit and warm hotel is now dismal. It's not expensive, but there are so many other hotels in this big resort offering very similar prices that they need to make some considerable improvements. I wish them well and hope the improvements happen, but at the moment I can see little to recommend it.

The hotel and room was extremely modern and clean, Our room number 105 has stunning sea views and the decor and finish was stunning. Our welcome from the guy on reception was friendly, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, particularly the ladies in the breakfast team. Our room was sizable, kettle, tea, TV etc. There was some wallpaper hanging off the wall by the curtain on our arrival in our room, which perhaps should of been sorted before guests arrived, but not a massive issue. The hotel is situated very near to the pier and the Great Orme, all about 5 minutes walk away. We did not have an evening meal there, the bar area etc looked very modern. The breakfast was great, cooked to order with a buffet of cereals and juices. The staff serving the breakfast were excellent. Parking is either outside on the road or in surrounding streets. We found parking fairly easily though we were out of season. On the whole we found our stay very pleasant and good value for money and we would stay there again.

|0.29km from city centerWe needed a little break from the norm during COVID so managed to secure a two night break away at The Marlborough. We was greeting by a friendly gentleman who went through all the covid secure processes and checked us in efficiently. We had a double and a single room, the double looked recently refurbed and was clean and comfortable. The single was very small, but as this was just for two nights it wasn't a problem, any longer and it would have been too small in my opinion. Rooms had a clean and spacious bathroom and each rooms had tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel was quiet given the situation with COVID but the bar was open and despite being the only ones who seemingly used the bar, the staff were always on hand to serve us drinks as we required. We found the two members of the evening team we encountered to be very friendly and chatty... friendly and welcoming staff make all the difference. The hotel is fairly dates yes, but its clean and comfortable so its no problem. We did find one or two negatives... The hotel were kind enough to reserve us a car parking space at the rear of the hotel, the spaces are VERY tight and have steel bollards folded into each space which I know damaged a fellow guests tyres. Simply remove a space and allow for 4 cars to park comfortably rather than 5 cars far too close. The lift was an experience. We could not get the 3 of us in the lift with our little cases, and we are not big people. It was very cramped and the lift was old a rickety and didnt quite reach the third floor - it feel short by around 8 inches. I never used the lift again as i didnt trust it but my mom did as she would have struggled with the stairs. Lastly, my biggest gripe was breakfast. I always feel that in a Bed and Breakfast, the breakfast is a real opportunity to shine. Sadly the Marlborough allowed this opportunity to pass. The full English breakfast is ok... there wasn't a lot of anything on the plate and what there was on the plate, was obviously cheap. Really disappointing. As you couldnt self serve, you was issued a tiny glass of juice of your choice and of course tea or coffee. The whole experience was underwhelming and prevented us from making dinner reservations with the hotel for that evening. Also the service in the breakfast room was quite over bearing. You couldn't sit and enjoy your coffee and toast, you had everything thrown at you the moment you walked in and then cleared away the moment you swallowed the last bite. Far too much and really spoilt things. 4 stars given here due to the staff we encountered in the evenings being so nice and for the hotel and rooms being clean and comfortable. For the money paid, it represented good value despite the odd negative. I would return but eat out for breakfast and park elsewhere.

|0.2km from city centerIn the morning I received an email to allow me to fill in my personal details to speed up checking as well as a courtesy call to confirm my reservation and expected time of arrival. As someone who worries this was reassuring. When arriving at the hotel it was interesting getting into the car park. Once I got the code I found it very tight due to a car parked in one of the bays protruding much further than the lines. After some careful manoeuvring a member of staff informed me I could park lengthways against the wall instead. Which was a relief. When we walked round to the front of the building the first thing I noticed was the beautiful view and facade of the hotel. It has an attractive coloured glass porch with a lovely art deco design. The location is absolutely perfect. Across the road from the beach and pier and a short stroll from all the restaurants, bars and attractions. The lobby is calm and inviting. We checked in quickly and effortlessly once a very pleasant member of staff arrived. Our room was very spacious and accessible. Immaculately clean and comfortable. The hotel can cater for wheelchair users so there was a wheelchair accessible shower in the bathroom (on the 3rd floor). Due to the nature of the structure the floors are uneven which means there was a small gap under the door. The staff provided extra towels to block this for us. The bar was clean, calm, comfortable and well stocked with a good selection of drinks and snacks. For a hotel so close to the pier it was also reasonably priced (approx £8 for a large white wine). Breakfast was served between 8-10am with lots of choice. The room was spacious. Guests can help themselves to cereals, yoghurt, fruit and pastries etc. There is also a hot buffet. At busy times there was a short wait for some items as they are cooked in small batches. This means while you may wait a bit the items are all hot and fresh. The produce used is good quality and we enjoyed our meal. Other items such as poached and scrambled eggs are available on request. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Anna and Natalia in particular made our stay very enjoyable. My son was upset when we left and already wants to go back. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

So glad we did as the location is perfect for Llandudno, its situated at the end of Mostyn Street so everywhere is within walking distance. We stayed in room 227 it was clean and spacious with a fantastic view along Mostyn Street right up to the Great Orme. Although we did not eat in the hotel we had a couple of drinks in the comfortable bar area. In my opinion what made this hotel stand out (we have stayed in many Premier inns) was the staff. We spoke to four team members and all were polite and professional. To be honest we have paid a lot more in supposedly better quality hotels that could learn customer facing skills from the team here. Will certainly book to stay here again.

|0.55km from city centerThe saying goes ” times fly's when your having fun”. we spent 2 nights at this lovely place and it felt like we had been there TEN minutes..nothing was too much trouble for this lovely team, you only needed to ask. fantastic quiet location with easy parking. why struggle to park on the seafront with a sea view all for the sake of a 5 minute walk. i have never sat in any hotel and had TOTAL silence..we shall definately we staying again - if we can get in before our immediate family members who now want to visit.. well done Rosaire.x

|0.39km from city centerMy son and myself stayed for one night on the 16 th Feb,we had the new room ‘Blodwen’ on the ground floor. It was beautifully decorated and loved the colour scheme. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We decided to dine in the restaurant and the service was very quick, all the staff were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious, could not fault it. Breakfast the next morning was very good, good selection of choices, again prompt service. We have already booked to come again in April, so looking forward to our next visit.

The staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and efficient. The telephone conversations during the booking process with different members of staff were so helpful and we knew from the outset this hotel really wants to impress. The spacious hotel feels brand new. The ambience is lovely. The second floor sea view classic room was not large but well appointed and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with an over bath shower. The afternoon tea was delicious. The breakfast was truly outstanding in terms of choice and quality of ingredients . The cooked breakfast was exceptional including superb cooked to order pancakes. Excellent coffee. The hotel values children. They loved the hotel and cannot wait to return. On street free parking. This is an absolute gem of a hotel. It is dog friendly but extremely clean and dogs do not use the restaurant. Unbelievable value for this quality. Highly recommended.
