My husband and I stayed at the hotel from 12th July until 21st July 2020. We were a bit unsure about traveling in times of COVID-19, but the hotel was absolutely prepared and did a great job concerning pandemic management. The hotel was very clean, hygienic standards were absolutely met and we felt safe at all times. Our hotel room/suite just looked exactly like on the pictures, the view from our balcony was more than amazing, the restaurant offered tasty menus at reasonable prices and the way down to the beach was less than 250m. The village is just a 15 minutes walk away and offers great activities to all, who like to have some fun off the beach (Excursion Expert e.g. is a great travel guide team!) The only to little aspects not optimal are breakfast and warm water supply. The breakfast was served (no buffet due to the pandemic) and the offer didn't vary much, but it was probably a logistics issue. I am still more than impressed on how well they've handled infection protection! Warm water is a common problem in Crete and therefore also not to directly blame on the hotel. Conclusion: The beautiful Eva Mare is a great choice for all, who love beautiful interior, welcome some peace and quiet and are - like us - no fans of huge hotels with animation and late night noisy partying. We definitely would looove to come back!!!

Loved this hotel so pretty and typically Cretan. The owner was delightful and helpful. Village really quiet and laid back....just what we wanted. Not the place to come if you8 like a more lively holiday but for us it was perfect.

My partner and I stayed at Happy Cretan Suites for a week in early October, which had been recommended by friends. On arrival at around 2230 we were greeted by Dimitris, who I had spoken to prior to arriving, to understand if we could pre-order some food due to our late arrival. Dimitris had advised we would not need to pre-order as food would be available at that time. After booking in and a quick drink we were shown to our room which was amazing and to top it off, there was a complimentary bottle of prosecco. The facilities in the room were fantastic, with the usual expected items as well as a coffee pod machine, free to use mobile phone and blue tooth speaker. During our stay the room was kept immaculately clean with regular fresh towels and bedding. Each evening there was fresh pastries/cakes either left in the room or delivered and on occasions, mini prosecco. The breakfast was fantastic, with fresh bread, jams/spreads, cereals, sweet and savoury pastries, tea/coffee, hams and cheeses. When you are sat at your table, you are offered scrambled/fried eggs, omelettes which we also have with bacon and sausages. After such a vast choice we did not need to eat anything for lunch. During our stay we lounged around the pool area which was meticulously clean as was all of the resort and only ventured into Agia Pelagia one afternoon when the weather turned. As such, with the exception of a couple of nights, we ate in the restaurant which was amazing. There are two menus to choice from, a bar/snack menu and the restaurant menu. We tried the specials such as moussaka and stifado which have to be ordered by 1400 each day and were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Happy Cretan Suites and cannot stress how hard the staff work and how attentive they are. The girls we met such as Aspa, Katerina, Maria and Kristi do not stop, they are always busy looking after guests or cleaning, as are the girls who look after the rooms. Nothing is too much for any of them as well as Dimitris who had organised a little gift from us for our friends who had visited a couple of weeks before. Thanks for looking after us, can’t wait to return!

I couldn’t stay more than one night only till I could find another place to stay. The definition of no value for money. My experience with the hotel is as follows: Cleanliness and security 1)Cleanliness: -The room smells as well as the very tiny bathroom as there is a continuous odor coming from the drain. -The shower curtain was dirty. - When we slept on the beds at night, all members of my family developed skin rash. 2)Security: - Surprisingly, the room doors open from outside without using the card. You have to lock from inside so the door will not open therefore when we are outside, our personal belongings are left unsecured in the room. -There was no method of communication with the reception or other rooms, so if I want anything from the reception I have to go all the way to the other building. -The rail for the stairs is unstable. 3)Comfort: - The rooms are not minimally sound proof and the noise in the room is continuous. In the morning and afternoon from the people at the pool and at night from adjacent rooms and corridors. - The room doors have to be slammed hard to close adding to the noise problem. 4) Minor things: -The lift is very small -The breakfast was really bad.

We have been back a week, and wish we could go back already. The environment is very relaxing, you can sit by the pool with music playing, the bar and snacks right next to you. Or you can go down to the beach with just the sound of the waves and everything still well within reach. We were greeted by Jianna when we first arrived who was lovely. The cleaners do a really great job, no matter where you are there is someone mopping or sweeping, it’s very clean. The rooms are fine, cleaned well every day, large and have nice balconies we sat out on each night. The only thing is that the shower curtain is terrible - the shower is amazing but you end up fighting with the curtain because they just stick to you! The staff were lovely, the lifeguard (sorry we didn’t get your name!) always says hi, and is good to have a chat with! Anna, mihalis & Dimitri were great, serving drinks all day and night (good spirits - wine and beer not quite so good). San Francisco cocktail is the one! Food was good, we lived on salad an tzatziki. You had hot foods as well, and nice cakes and puddings. Could do with a little more fish on the menu, as you hope to have this in Greece. Gyros were great on the nights you had them :) again, staff in restaurant are lovely, Voula is straight to you with coffee and a smile in the morning, and evelina doesn’t stop all evening. Just make sure in the morning, you make any toast you want first, as it takes a while! Entertainment was great when they brought people in, Cuban night & the multinational dancers were amazing. Not a massive fan of the ‘mr’ election, Karaoke was okay for the first half hour or so. It is massively in German, but it’s something to do in an evening. It would be nice to have the jokes shared with other nationalities though as the animator could speak all languages.... except Czech! Overall, a really lovely holiday and I would definitely recommend others to go. Thank you :)

The hotel is located 3-5min from the Main Street of the Area which is really nice a quite. The pool is great with its plants around it and the rooms are acceptable. You can see they are old and not looked after a lot but you can live there without any major problems. The bathroom is strange because every time you shower, water will get out and there is a small hole on the floor where it I guess should drain away, but it opens up every time you step on it by accident. The balcony is nice to eat outside but beware of the table it’s shakey. There is a tv with German and English Channels. There is also a bar next to the pool which provides beer for 3€ and cheap snacks. Sometimes cats may appear which are really nice and calm. The main two we called Stella and Silizia, so give them a Hello or some cat food from time to time (they like the wet food more). The breakfast is mainly the same every day, they may change some small things from time to time though (different fruits or sheep feta instead of yoghurt). It didn’t bother us though, you have enough food options in the Main Street anyway. The staff is nice and helpful and will give you information if you need something to know. On the Main Street you can book tours but first look up several shops and compare the prices and offer. Some offer things other dont do! The beach is about 10 min from the hotel and 5-7min from the Main Street. But in that area the wind is very strong and so are the waves! If you walk 30-50min on the beach towards Heraklion, you will find better and more calm swimming places. There are a lot of loungers with umbrellas but most of them are owned by hotels. Some are from restaurants or bars which you can use if you consume something there. Others will let you use them if you pay. Have a nice stay ! And always be prepared and ask a lot because Greek people do not provide information in advance.

Arolithos is a place to enjoy your holidays. 15 minutes by car from the airport, far up on a hill. If you need transportation, ask for it before you arrive, prices are okay (30€). Really friendly personell, good prices for accomodation, in the restaurant and in the shop. Clean rooms, wonderful architecture, the water in the shower is not too warm, in the evening it takes some time to get from very cold to okay temperatures, but it‘s fine. The aircondition works really well, the fridge is clean and cool. The pool is nice, the tables outside the restaurant provide a wonderful view over lots of green, the sea and mountains further away. Next to the restaurant, goats wonder freely (not disturbing you there is a wall and a fence). The dog of the house is friendly and calm (I am afraid of dogs but not of this one), there are about 5 cats but if they want to beg for food they get something from the owner so you can eat in peace. The food is excellent (looks and tastes very good, fresh, big plates, variety of tasty food), prices are good, you get a menu to write the number of the things you want next to them. For savety reasons they put a nice paper over the table cloth, you get a bottle of hand sanetizer on the table and waiters wear a mask. If you book a room with breakfast but have to leave early, they but it in a bag for you. You can pay with credit card or cash.

Was a well laid out and comfortable hotel, but it seemed to have an end of season thinking with simple luke warm food. Several parts of the lovely complex were lacking loving care and maintenance attention with too little focus on personal safety. Very amused to see "Keep of Grass" signs when area were covered with clover. Good complex for young family with lots to do. It seems that mid 1970´s building design is not ideal for someone wanting a quiet inside area for chat with friends or other guests, but one can sit outside in the garden. Reception staff were not friendly enough and the check-in process with cumbersome and extremely slow wasting a few hours. One had to pay extra for Wifi = somewhat disappointing when one has paid for all inclusive. The general outside location is somewhat run down with a beautiful chemical & power station industry site just 300m to west. That whole industry area is blocked out on Google Maps for some reason, as it is not military, but does have lots of lovely different chemical smells. At the bar we saw someone asking for rose wine and was given red wine filled with sparkling water!!! Imaginative service.

The Georgia hotel in Heraklion is a small three star hotel run by a lovely and attentive family. Mum, Georgia, does the meals during the winter months, son Dimitris is the General Manager whilst dad runs the farm having just completed the olive harvest the fruits of which are processed and used by Georgia in the restaurant especially in her famous Greek Salads. Stella is the hotel's accountant while Bella does the house keeping. Cousin Socrates is the hotel's genial personnel manager who often came to our assistance by interpreting our specific dietary requirements. After an enforced medical stay in Crete, we stayed at the Georgia Hotel for nearly 5 weeks. The rooms were large and airy, food was plentiful and wholesome and the red wine, local and tasty. Value for money at Euro50 for a double with breakfast.

          1. Reception We travelled to Greece from 22nd to 29th July as a group of 3 adults and one child (1,5 years). The hotel is close to the airport, about 15 minut by bus. We arrived around 11.00 a.m., so we expected to have to wait for our rooms until 4 p.m. But the check-in was quick and easy nd we got the keys immediately! We also got an upgrade of the room: two separate rooms next to each other instead of one family room. We could also choose between accomodation in a bungalow and in the main building (which was finally our choice). 2. Hotel The hotel consists of one main building and bungalows (many of them were empty). There are 2 swimming pools, one of them with toboggans. Sunbeds and parasoles are free of charge both by the pools and on the beach. Hotel was half empy, the guest are mostly from Germany, Russia, Czech republic, Poland. All personnel were wearing masks/shields and gloves all the time. Guests do not have to wear any mouth/nose protection but are advised to keep safe distances. 3. Room Our rooms were of standard quality, nice, spacey, with bath tube, air-condition and balcony with sea view. There were some cosmetic products in the bathroom on the first day. The safe is free of charge, in the minibar there was one bottle of water. We also got a bottle of wine, fruit plate and drinks in the minibar as a present for loyal guests. It was very pleasant. The baby cot was bad (very high but extremely soft mattress which did not help much to cover the uneven bottom of the cot), but the baby didn´t care so we did not complain. Cleaning is done only if you order it at the reception desk. If you don´t, nobody will come to e.g. carry out the trash or refill your toilet paper. We did not need to e.g. get changed our towels everyday, so we asked for cleaning only once. It was not perfect (the floor was not swept sufficiently), but OK. The other days we just took the waste out ourselves. Cleaning ladies are pretty loud in the hallways. We noticed it when the baby was sleeping in the room after lunch everyday. 4. Animation There were only 5 animators, but they tried their best. Guests can take part in some sport activities, minidisco, in the evening there were some simple fun programs (music quizz, couple games on the stage, disco night). There were no dance shows like last year (probably because of the lack of staff and only few spectators). 5. Restaurant Because of COVID 19, there is no self service, you have to ask the staff to give you drinks, soup, vegetables, meat, side dishes, simply everything (except of some fruits or sweets, that are packed and you can take it without assistance). I understand the reasons, but it is a bit unpleasant to have to ask even for glass of water… I think that a bottle of water that a guest could take for his family during the meal would do (with no additional risk of COVID and it would also be a relief for the bar staff). The food was very good, sufficient choice. Ice-cream is

We had a great time, the staff are are very friendly, rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Breakfast had lots of choice and the pool bar was great. Lots of beach bars only a short walk and heraklion is only a few minutes in the car. We hired a car from, Mustang just around the corner and got a great price, there are afew restaurants nearby to eat at or you can get a bus or taxi to amoudara centre which only takes a couple of minutes. You can walk but we chose not to as we hired a car and also with young children in the heat it might be abit too far. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and the pool area is nice and clean. We are sad to leave. Overall we had a great time, water city is a must! We had a great day there.

We spent the last week of the summer season here. It was perfectly clean in every area but looked a little sad and in need of a lick of paint - maybe just because it was the end of the season. The pools were well kept but the gym was sadly lacking - neither of the two treadmills worked and the elliptical couldn’t be programmed properly. There were a few weights machines and some free weights. The restaurant is situated at the top of the resort and rooms are a steep walk away in most cases - I would consider myself fairly fit and active and the hill certainly raised my heart rate! Food in the main restaurant was of acceptable quality, somewhat limited in choices but sufficient to try different food every day unless you’re particularly fussy. The A la Carte Restaurant was lovely and the wait staff were very friendly. All inclusive customers may be disappointed by the cocktail list - just 3 cocktails - and only available at the pools, not the main bar.

We arrived late at the apartments (11.30pm) and were concerned that we would be inconveniencing the staff. We were greeted by Artemis who insisted that we sat down to enjoy some cake and a drink (free of charge) to welcome us to Crete. This was the start of a visit that was filled with warmth and laughter. Kostas and Artemis were such amazing hosts; warm, friendly, nothing too much trouble, always free desert and raki following a meal. This was a place where you feel at home the second you walk through the door. The apartment was authentic, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. Extremely hot if visiting in August - which was lovely! There was a level of lively noise around the apartments but happy, musical joyous sounds which added to the ambiance of the visit. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone who is a little world weary and needs some TLC that only these Greek hosts can provide. The food is really, really good and plentiful, and tasty - absolutely delicious - definitely recommend you to try the restaurant even if you are not staying there. This place is humbling; it makes you remember what life is about - family, neighbours, community, good food and socialising. It is a truly wonderful place to visit - highly recommended.

Basically the title sums up our view about this place. The owners were very warm and friendly and the price per night compared to other cities in Europe is very cheap. We got an overall package from the tourist agency and we did not regret any of it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

This was my third time back at this hotel, and the first time abroad for a relaxing break since/during COVID-19; it did not disappoint! Upon our late arrival to the hotel, we were made to feel, yet again, very welcomed by Yiannis at the reception, and were offered food when we got there. Check in was done via a very simple contactless method on your phone due to the current pandemic. The hotel and our room was all very clean, which made us feel very at ease travelling abroad during the current situation. The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning, it was very easy to just want to stay at the hotel by the pool all day as a result! During the day the bar served several all inclusive and paid drinks which were all very nice. Lygaria beach is around a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and is definitely worth it! In the evening the bar is run by Aris and Charlene who are amazing! Their drinks are better than the usual drinks you would expect when you go abroad, especially the cocktails are lush!!! They both are so friendly and provide everyone with the best service all the time! It makes you feel very welcome at the bar every evening. Each time I’ve visited this hotel, they have made my holiday the best and always leave us wanting to go back again - which we definitely will be in the next season! Thank you so much again for the best trip especially during these uncertain times, it was so lovely to have such a lush, well deserved break!! See you next year 🇬🇷✈️

Travelling from place to place throughout the island, we made a last minute reservation, via Booking, 5 minutes before we arrived (early evening) and were greeted by the family with open arms. Immaculately clean with stunning views over Agia Pelagia, the hotel is situated on a steep hill, 20 minutes downhill trod to the town and beach, therefore it's definitely handier to have a car. There is no set menu or set eating times (except breakfast) so whatever you would like to eat and when you would like to eat, is talked over with the lovely Romina. This gives such a free feeling and not only that, the food is 100% homemade and absolutely delicious. The hospitality of the family is wonderful. They strive to make sure you have the best holiday experience and I admit they really spoiled us. Whatever we needed was provided in an instant. Don't expect the trendiest hotel with all the gadgets to go with it. That is not what it is. There are no TV's in the room! This is a traditional, family run apart/hotel that focusses on hospitality and 1-1 service. You just become part of the family straight away. To compare the cost with the service, this is a diamond find which we were so lucky to stumble across. 100% recommended. Thank you Peggy and Romina for a wonderful experience. Deborah and Jeroen xx

We have stayed at Pela Mare multiple times for long periods of time and can honestly say it's our favourite resort on the island of Crete. The views are phenomenal, the service is the best we have ever had in any hotel...ever. And it is incredibly comfortable for a family holiday. The balcony views are breathtaking and everything about this magical little place starts to feel like home from home. The resort is near many world class beaches, incredible restaurants, and easy access to the highway for lots of sightseeing. Calm and quiet ambiance, palm trees, beach chairs, umbrellas, delicious drinks, clean and inviting pool with a view over the ocean... the most relaxing stay we've had. There is even a smaller splash pool for young children who love to explore the impeccable grounds and lush surroundings. The buffet breakfast is really impressive, and it changes from day to day so you're not getting bored of the menu. The chef is so generous in accommodating different diet needs as well. It's heaven! Thank you to all the staff at Pela Mare who are world class, we can't wait to see you next year!

Well, where do I start! – the place was out of this world. I’ve traveled the world far and wide and can honestly say that I have never been so looked after as I was staying here. From your arrival and check-in, they are so quick to fulfill your every request should you so have any. Anna on the front desk was able to answer any questions, book us all excursions, and even kindly upgraded us to a higher tier room. She was an absolute asset to this hotel. The cleanliness is the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel I’ve stayed in around the world. The food, OMG! The array of delicious culinary experiences, from the BBQ by the pool side to the huge buffet inside for lunch! There was nothing spared at all – tremendous job guys! The many pools and views meant you were finding new hidden gems around the hotel each day, from the ocean side cement deck and bar that served the best Frappuccino’s to the sea salt pool with a million-dollar views! I can't recommend this place enough, we arrived home last night and we were blown away by their hospitality so much so, we have just this second rebooked for a longer stay in June!! Hats off to you all hard-working staff members at the stunning peninsula resort and spa!

I stayed at Nymphes for a week’s stay at the beginning of October, in the 2 new villas located at the top of the property. The road to reach the villas is steady, but it becomes funny when you’re a little used. Villas are very pleasant, well arranged and decorated, comfortable beds, great outdoor furniture around the pools, surrounding the marvelous bay of Agia Pelagia. Weather at this time was fine, but the temperature did not allowed us to use the pools, next time, we’ll tried to come in September or in May or July. Pepy, the owner of Nymphes is a wonderful person, as everybody says, thanks Pepy for your true kindness. At this moment of the year, each villa can be booked for less than 70€ per night, I don’t see what can be better for this price.

Firstly let me say Sea Side Resort is an amazing place. It is set in a stunning location, stupendous views, great food and amazing staff. Special thanks to Stella in the main buffet restaurant who was the 'stand out' member of staff on our holiday. But a word of caution - the hotel appeared to running at 100% capacity, and we didn't get our sea view room with infinity pool, ending up in a small satellite development a 10 minute walk down the hill leaving us feeling very remote & detached from the main hotel. It was clear during our stay that we weren't the only ones that were shortchanged and we received very little sympathy from the senior hotel staff (IAndreas the general manager & Maria the customer relations manager spring to mind). My suggestion is tread very carefully when booking, & even when you get an email from them promising the room you have booked, be prepared for dissappointment. The all inclusive cocktails/spirits seemed to be very week. You're not allowed to take drinks back to your room (we noticed the staff challenging guests who did this) but they only put a couple of bottles of water in your room fridge which seems a bit stingy when all inclusive. They have three speciality restaurants - Jasmine & Kullinarium are superb, the Minoan Cretan Tavern less so - suggest you book these on your first day at breakfast, as they do get booked up pretty quickly and we saw some guest trying to book who were left disappointed. Aquafitness in the main pool was a daily event at midday and was great fun!!! The entertainent was really good, and we particularly enjoyed the Greek Dancing Night. Not a huge amount to do locally near the hotel, but there is a small beach with an amazing tavern(Stelios Tavern) which is worth a visit to break the monotony of hotel dining every night. There is a local bus service from right outside the hotel which runs to Heraklion which is really worth doing and very cheap & reliable. The hotel has a "no towels on sunbeds" rule which they don't enforce, and we got up early one morning (6am) to photograph the sunset and were shocked to see that a lot of towels were already on sunbeds. There are some lovely cats/kittens around the site, and quite of few of the guests smuggle food out of the buffet restaurant to feed them. Standard of cleaning in rooms was good and the quality of the rooms was high. In summary, staying here is a bit of a lottery, if you get what you have booked it will deliver in spades, but you won't know until you arrive in reception. Maybe it is only a handful of peoples holidays that they spoil, but unfortunately we were one of them. All the staff were amazing apart from Andreas & Maria. We will not be returning which is shame, as we really really wanted to come back, but cannot take the gamble.

We stayed at the end of September-mid October. What can I say about this hotel? The food is great and have so much choice! Good entertainment in the evenings, absolutely loved the ‘Greek night’. The staff are brilliant! Really friendly, helpful and caring. Bar staff always served with a smile and made you feel so welcomed! Thank you George and Dimitri! The animation team are excellent! Every day arranging activities at the hotel; darts competition, water aerobics, volleyball, mystery cocktail ect. Very enthusiastic! Thank you again Maria and the other lady (didn’t get her name before we left). And thank you Dimos (sorry I hope I’ve spelt it right!) the guest relations manager; saw him every day during our stay, welcoming us to the dining room and informed us on the way out the evenings entertainment. Such a friendly gentleman! The all inclusive drink selection is very good as you have white wine, red wine, rose, beer, ouzo, sangria, raki cocktails (we love raki!) and soft drinks. The selection of cocktails off the all in menu were fantastic, made to perfection! Roughly cost €6.50-€7 and were so worth it! You could get drinks from the pool or from the bar near reception. Plenty of choice of where to sit and chill. The location is very good with being close to 3 beaches, shops, mini markets and supermarkets (be prepared though for the steep hill leading to the beach and shops down the road! But does make a good workout!), the hotel has its own little shop, Agia Pelagia only 15-20 minute walk (lovely village), two car hires with one being across the road from the hotel, the quad biking safari is a 2 minute walk (recommend) and boat hires 5-10 minute walk (also recommend). A bus is available outside the hotel to go to Heraklion and other destinations for good prices (Heraklion return €7.60 each). We had an issue with our shower that we mentioned on a survey, by the next morning they fixed it! They take what you say seriously and sort it. Our room was lovely and had a beautiful view. Had a bell boy take us to our room when we arrived and pick us up to bring us to reception, as we were in the annex. We phoned up reception and within minutes was at our door to collect us. Overall we love this hotel and would happily stay again! Can’t wait for our next trip! Recommend to anyone!

My wife and I were in Lino Mare in August 2019. It is very cozy and clean hotel. The owner is frendly and kind. The hotel is not far from the sea, it takes usually about 10 minutes by walk. But the sea often storming. I suggest renting a car. It'a comfotable to get to some places on the island.

We booked for a week as a couple at the Santo George hotel but I’m not actually entirely sure which hotel we stayed in as it also appeared to be called the Antonis/Adonis beach hotel which was a bit bizarre. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the owner was not around to check us in but we were given a key by his wife and shown our room. The room was not what we were expecting at all, I had booked what was called a ‘standard’ room on booking.com but apparently this is the economy room and I found this a bit misleading. The room was extremely basic and very small however the air conditioning was good and it was very clean. We returned to reception later to try and check in but the owner was still not there so in the end we didn’t actually check in at any point during the week which was strange. Breakfast was really awful, the bread each morning was always stale, there was always some extremely rubbery egg which wasn’t really edible and a there was never any variety to the very limited options. In addition, the photos and information were slightly misleading about the pool; it is not on the hotel site, it is a public pool across the grounds. Very easy to access and a nice pool where we spent the majority of our time. The hotel is in a really good location, close to the beach and loads of great restaurants and is fine if you are on a budget but I do think there are one or two things that could easily be improved and their promo photos definitely need updating!

Stayed there for 6 nights and the hotel experience was nothing special. Luckily we barely spent any time in our rooms or the hotel premises. Only positive thing I can bring out is that the hotel is located next to a beach, big parking lot and shopping street. Breakfast was served only from 8 til 9 and the choice of food was very poor. Only coffee and water was drinkable, juices were horrible and probably made with some powder. No hot food. Only sandwiches, cereal, feta cheese and some other greek stuff. Basically okay for a quick snack before you hit the road or beach. The outside sitting area for breakfast was also very small and seperated with rope from rest of the tables. Lots of people couldn't find a table to eat breakfast outside and enjoy the weather although there were free tables. Hotel staff insisted that you only eat at the "breakfast area". I think the guests were also supposed to clean the table themselves and bring plates to a desginated area but we never did so. Rooms had a balcony, A/C and fridge which was positive. Other than that everything looked quite old. Showerhead in our room was broken and there was barely any water pressure. In another room (our travel companions) the toilet was leaking. Most of the times there wasn't any hot water but that's not so bad considering the warm climate. In conclusion, don't expect anything more but a place to sleep from this hotel. If the hotel wants to improve then I suggest expanding the time to eat breakfast and outside area. Plus the food could use a serious upgrade. Have some fresh fruits atleast and get rid of the fake juice.

Room was very dirty and the ac didnt work, mold was in the fridge and stains all over the place. I took pictures to show the guy in the reception and we got another room, which was supposed to be the best room. It was just as dirty, and the red couch had black and white stains all over. I got a few pictures, but as we were so sad to see the condition, and i was so eager to find a solution after a long day, unfortunately i didnt get pictures of everything. We got back down to show how dirty this one also was, the receptionist told that they forgot to clean the rooms, and that he would call Booking.com to figure a refund out. An hour went by and nothing happened, so we decided to call Booking.com ourselves and they said no one from the hotel had reached out to them. They promised to call the hotel to try and figure something out, as it looked like we where getting scammed and they didn’t think we got the right treatment. Half an our later we then got to speak to the manager and he straight away told us we couldnt get our money back, even though they did nothing to prepare for our stay. He said we could only get upgraded, but as i tried to explain that we already got this offer and it was just as dirty as our first room, he cut us off all the time and didnt want to listen to us. When i tried showing him our pictures of the dirt he got very angry and didnt want to listen to us. “its your story” he just kept saying, as if i was making all these thing up. I asked him to go to the room and show how dirty it was, he then told us to leave and never come back. He wanted nothing to do with us and didnt try to help us out at all. From the moment he sat down with us, he was very uncomfortable, as he yelled at the old lady from the hotel. He got very aggresive, raised his voice, kicked us out without our money and treathened to call the police. Not ONCE did he not cut us off when we tried to speak. Never in my life have i experienced this type of behaviour. Please stay away from this hotel, we spent a total of 5 hours trying to get our money back and find another hotel, he completely ruined our first day on Crete and didnt care about us at all, and we never got our money. The receptionist found us on the street and talked to us. He fully believed we were in the right and that his manager treated us very pooly, he promised to try and talk to him and get some of our money back. Only positive thing i have to say about this hotel, though we didnt get any money. We left so disappointed, sad and shocked with no where to go. We highly recommend no one to work with this hotel or spend any kind of money on this guy!
