Long-distance bus station, next to the train station, is not far from the station, The inconvenience is that there is no WiFi in the room, only the lobby.

We had a lovely stay first week of June. Hotel is clean, breakfast room not crowded, man on reception friendly, as was the woman at breakfast. 15min walk from Mestre train station. Room was clean and cleaned daily. There was no road noise, or noise from other rooms. Beds were firm, but comfy. Lovely Pillows. Room had air con, safe and shelves and hanging space, desk, chair and bedside shelves. Bathroom had hair dryer and shower, with soaps etc. Plenty of fresh towels each day. Decor was on the edge of dated, but didn't look worn. Breakfast was good quality. My partner loved the coffee. There were eggs (you could ask for soft boiled), toast, ham and cheese toasties, cereal, croissants with different fillings, cakes, biscuits, nuts, fruit, ham, cheese, jams, Nutella and 3 types of juice. It was the same over the 5 days we stayed. Breakfast room was well spaced and there was never more than 2 other couples eating with us. The hotel is a 15min bus ride into Venice which costs €1.50, stop around the corner. We found a great pizzeria down the road 'Al Calesse'. They did the best pizzas we had on our stay and were amazing value. Also at the top of the road was a great ice cream place. To sum up Hotel Roma is a great little hotel, very friendly, clean, comfy, quiet, good breakfast, 15min bus ride into Venice, 15min walk from Mestre train station.

Outside the city of Venice, about half an hour by bus from the centre of Venice, the bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It takes about half an hour to get to St. Mark's Square by boat to the Venice bus terminal. So it is a long way from the main attractions, at least 1 hour, back and forth is 2 hours. The advantage is that parking is free and the room is relatively spacious. On the high-speed side, there is a gas station next to it, there is a supermarket and a snack bar nearby, and a kind of food similar to a pie is super delicious. The room is not too small and should be much larger than the hotel in Venice. The bathroom is also clean.

Appena parlato col Sig.

It’s a nice hotel, very clean and with good prices all the year. It’s our third staying and not the last. The breakfast is a typical italian one: brioche, coffee and juice/ water. They have a kitchen for guests. Bus station at 5 min in both ways. Direct bus to Venice. In the night it is quiet.

Hotel is in need of some TLC:- Dirty grouting on the bathroom tiles, broken towel rail, bare bulbs above the sink, holes in the wall where curtain tiebacks were missing, curtain not clipped onto the rail correctly, only one chair in our double room but there were two in others. Breakfast was between 7 & 10 and if you arrived at around 9 there was little choice, as it was not restocked. It appeared that there was an allocation per day and once it was gone that was it. Staff were friendly and basically helpful. Would we go there again? No.
