Epoch House & The Orange Shop - Adults Only

          Nafplio
          |4.76km from city center
Highly recommended! The location is very good, just on the edge of the Constitution Square, downstairs is the orange shop, the second floor and the third floor are rooms, the house is an old house, but the decoration is very new and modern, and the quality taste is online, the minibar is good, the linen is very comfortable, I looked at the full set of Greek local big brand COCO- MAT. Breakfast is a menu of choice, the number is not bad, Nafplio is rich in oranges, orange juice is delicious. We stayed at the B&B for the first time. This B&B subverted our impression of the B&B. Especially the linen can be said to be amazing. Generally speaking, if there is no high demand for breakfast, the standard of this B&B exceeds that of many international brand chain business hotels. Basically, it can reach the four-star level. In addition, because it is in the center of the old city, the small street next to the apartment cannot be parked. The car needs to be parked in the port parking lot or a slightly larger roadside parking space nearby (no charge for parking in the old city), but it is not too far to take the box, which is more convenient than most B&Bs on the hillside. (Ps: Apartment has elevator) In addition, if the budget is sufficient, Nafplio has a very good hotel Nafplio Palace Hotel, when we booked, we saw an evaluation that it was not convenient to eat far from the old city. We had to walk a short distance back to the hotel at night, so we didn't dare to book. When I arrived, I found that the hotel view was very good and there was a dedicated parking garage, and I could actually drive back and forth (the style and price of this Nafplio Palace can be analogous to Banyan Tree)

Great location and a classic hotel with old world charm, stayed for Teo nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. I had one of the three attic rooms on the top floor. And they are huge rooms with a big bed and a sofa as well as two skylights. Also great views of the waterfront and the castle. There is a big bathroom with a shower over the bath. Quite comfortable. Breakfast was included with a good choice of hot & cold food. Wifi is reasonable fast, TV only has one English station. Staff are helpful. Really feels like Greece!! Loved it.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the whole establishment is very beautiful. They have really thought through the layout and the design of the hotel, lobby, pool, rooms etc. to all match the scenery nicely! Exceptional service from staff and the owner was super nice and friendly. We were very pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and a fruit platter at our arrival and a lovely homemade jam at our departure. The first round of water and soft drinks were complimentary in our mini bar. Greek hospitality is really shining through at Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat!!! Another plus is the delicious food served for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Traditional Greek dishes with a twist made out of fresh products since they have a farm to table concept. Last but not least there are a number of activities that all guests that are nature lovers or into Greek history can enjoy. The hotel provides you with a brochure with all the activities and info and many were tailored for children too. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to have a car to reach this hotel, especially if you would like to explore the area. Pyrgiotika has really nice taverns with traditional food and the hotel is also just a 10 min drive from beautiful Nafplio which is an absolute must see! Our base was Perivoli Hotel and then we would drive to Nafplio for sightseeing (Old Town, Palamidi, Bourtzi etc) as well as food/drinks etc) and it is also a short drive just 20-30 min from the beautiful sandy Karathona beach that has a few beach bars and restaurants and plenty of parking space.

We booked for 2 nights in no5 Suite with Sea view during June. Excellent situated, in the old town of Nafplio, with very pleasant stuff, always reluctant and available to guide you. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, with modern details, enhancing the beauty of this neoclassical building. The breakfast was full of options and the view was the best part during the night, enjoying our wine on the balcony. I suggest it with no doubt.

There were six of us in our group (3 bedrooms total). If you look at the hotel from the front, the lobby is over to the left and our rooms were in the addition over to the right. There were three rooms connected by a hallway and we had all three so it was kind of nice that we were the only ones in that part of the building. The rooms were fine - European so small, but modern and clean which is all I care about. The view was nice as you're up on the hill overlooking the sea, but it's probably a better view from the floor above us as we saw a lot of the tops of buildings. We had a few problems. The first morning we woke up early to get a start on the day and the water was freezing cold. I ran outside over to the looby to let the manager know, but she doesn't usually arrive until 8AM so it was just the kitchen staff getting ready for breakfast. Through Google translate I was able to explain what was happening and they called the manager who got on the phone with a plumber. Long story short, it got fixed around 9AM so we got a late start. Rick Steve's says it's not about whether or not there are issues (there always will be) but about how the staff reacts. They were pleasant. To the left of the lobby there was a hallway and at the end was an empty room that had a deluxe bathroom. I went in and turned on the water in the shower and it was hot so apparently the issue was just on our side of the building - maybe with another water heater. Then we realized that the shower doors wouldn't stay shut so the bathroom floor was covered in water - slipping hazard. We found that the trashcan next to the toilet was broken and then that the sink was draining really slowly. The staff was able to fix the shower door almost (not 100%, but close) while we were there so that was nice. Maybe if we'd been there longer it would have been okay, but our time was so precious if we don't get an early start then there are things we just don't get to do. I guess I figure when you're a hotel hot water in a shower is a basic expectation. Also, there was no ”Hey, we know you're getting a late start so breakfast is on us,” or, ”Hey, we have an empty room with a functioning shower - why don't you use that room so everybody can get clean and you can start your day.” It was more along the lines of... we have a plumber and he'll be here soon. One last thing, they did have a laundry service and they took our clothes at 10PM and we had all three bags back (dry and folded) the next morning around 8AM for 30 euros so I give them credit for that. Would I stay there again? I really don't know. There seemed to be a lot of hotels around and we were there in the off-season so there seemed to be plenty of vacancies. If I'm realistic I think I'd actually hunt around online a bit to see if we could get into a better hotel for what might be the same price.

My husband and I travelled for two weeks in Greece in May of 2016. I can honestly say this was the most memorable place we stayed. I say this because of Eleni herself. She greeted us so warmly and gave us a tour of our room. We had a great and cute interaction with her. When we left she ran after us to make sure we had a good stay. She gave us each a warm hug. I felt as if she were the most beautiful and wonderful grandma that I could ever have. I will always remember her. On a side note the room was wonderful - very clean with a nice view. Also, there was a small continental breakfast provided in the room we stayed at.

The hotel is located on the hill in the middle of trees that bring freshness. The hotel is very well-kept ( home every day). The kitchen could be better equipped: no coffee shop (a drink distributor near the reception ) The bathroom is very just. The black point: access to parking. The hotel is a very good hotel and is very good for the hotel.

A beautiful hotel that has been stylishly refurbished in a classic style. We chose one of the larger rooms which had a sitting area, a king size bed, and a jacuzzi. It was comfortable and quiet. It had a very efficient and quiet aircon system. The common areas of the hotel had marble staircases and flooring which was really quite stunning. Breakfast was good with freshly cooked pastries on offer, but maybe could have done with muesli and fresh fruit options. The staff were very welcoming at all times. We left early before breakfast was served, but the receptionist went out of his way to provide us with coffee and freshly baked spinach tart for our journey. There is no parking at the hotel but a free public car park is nearby, however it is often busy so you may need to drive out to find a space.

I especially enjoyed my stay at the Andromeda Hotel in Nafplio! The hotel is in what is called the “old” part of this beautiful Greek, sea-side town. It has charm as well as all of the modern conveniences. It is clean, spacious, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is modern, and the shower is a high-tech marvel! Also, the breakfast was a delight: eggs, meats, freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries, coffee... Lastly, the owners and staff could not have been more pleasant and friendly.

Pension Dafni is a true hidden gem and the best place I've stayed in Greece. My room was spacious with tons of natural light and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was clean with very hot water (just let it run a minute) and the amenities felt modern. The location was perfect, there was a restaurant literally around the corner and you could be anywhere within Nafplio within a few minutes. Taxis and the bus station are 2 minutes away. Superb location overlooking the sea with a direct view towards the Bourtzi. Pay a little extra for a room with a sea-view (rooms 101 to 104 or 201 to 204). Rooms 104 & 204, are corner rooms and slightly larger. Air-con and free wi-fi available with a room-safe to secure valuables. Ideally located with many restaurants and tavernas all within a few minutes walk. For people with mobility problems, the hotel is perfectly accessible, although the lift/elevator is quite compact. With mobility problems in mind, the bathrooms do need to be upgraded from a bath/shower to a walk-in shower. A buffet breakfast may be taken on the ground-floor level, although I did find it somewhat underwhelming - the toaster machine definitely needs to be retired and replaced. Free parking is available nearby although perhaps can be difficult at weekends.

They were able to answer any questions that we had and provided very good recommendations for restaurants and things to do. There was also other chairs in the room so we did not have to sit on the bed anytime we were in the room. The hotel is close to the old town and has a fantastic view. That being said, the hotel is difficult to get to. You have to be in decent physical condition to manage all of the stairs and possible slippery cobblestones. If you have any mobility and/or balance concerns or a particular hatred of stairs, this might not be the hotel for you.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a 3 week trip. Nafplion is lovely coastal town with numerous restaurants. We will definitely return. Our room 156 had plenty of space and a very comfy super-king bed. We slept well. The room and bathroom had everything we needed, but it looked a bit tired and in need of refurbish. The shower rail was hanging off the wall, the mastic around the sink and mirror was awful and the toilet kept flushing constantly. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, but it felt very crowded. The hotel was ok as a tourist hotel for a few nights but we liked Nafplion a lot.

Andrew's Luxury Residence was the ideal place to stay when visiting Nafplio and the attractions at Mycenae and Epidavros. While the streets leading to it are fairly narrow, it is still easily reached by car. There is free parking on-site. A vehicle is required as it is some distance from the centre of Nafplio, too far to comfortably walk, but only a short drive away (and parking in town is not too difficult to find - at least it was fine in January!). The apartment is very comfortable and relatively spacious, with a separate bedroom, and living room/kitchen. There are also 2 balconies overlooking the pool with views across Nafplio. The kitchen is fully equipped (only missing a microwave) and with the nearby supermarkets, easy to self-cater. The bed was quite comfortable! The apartment was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and left us a bowl of very fresh, delicious oranges! Yum! We would stay here again if we return to the area.

Amazing location giving wonderful views…..but definitely not a five star hotel. No bar, main reception closed and new reception is a small office. overall in serious need of renovation. One of the main attractions of the hotel is that you can access the old town of Nafplio via lifts directly from the hotel. There were three and two had obviously been out of order for me many months m. The 3rd broke down while we were there and we had a long hot walk into town. The lift that does occasionally work is filthy , covered in graffiti and smells of urine and would be an embarrassment to a 1star hotel. Overall, over priced, dated and dejected. We stayed as we didn’t believe the other reviews… they were all accurate! Avoid

We easily parked our car at the Hotel (you can not do it inside the town), the drive to the town took 10 min. Hotel is new, modern and clean. Bathroom is especially good: it's spacious and has enough hooks to hang your towels etc. There is a big terrace attached to the room, with coffee table, chairs and even small sofa, which we really enjoyed in the evening. Sleep quality is very good: surroundings are calm, bed is fine. Breakfast is rich enough and of good quality. In our opinion, the Hotel is perfect for your stay in Napflion. And reception, provided by lovely Ms Lia Vervenioti, was simply amazing. In few minutes, we have received all the info about the place we need, with free map and recommendations for dining which turned out to be true. Really nice Hotel.

Ireenie (spelling?) was particularly amazing...her English was excellent and she was not only a wonderful person but so helpful. We were offered towels and directed to a swimming area a block away from the hotel. When we needed a taxi to visit the Epidaurus theatre, Ireenie immediately called us a taxi and negotiated the price, giving the taxi driver instructions. All organized with such proficiency. The breakfast which we had to pre-order the night before was served by a wonderful waitress in a beautiful area outside the hotel. It truly was outstanding and abundant. I would definitely return to this hotel. Thank you to all concerned for your hospitality.

Excellent position with excellent view, very gentle staff but all the other things are far below the average, the bathroom with basic deficiencies, small, no hangers, with little water from ancient pipes and a door you've struggled to close it. Old deaf in the room, with a small old-tech TV and a particularly inadequate WiFi. It is a pity in 2022 in a hotel like this to find conditions for staying in the last decades.

The location is good, and the old house is transformed with nostalgia.
