I'm so glad firstly that we decided to come to Ortahisar rather than Goreme. Ortahisar is a delightfully unspoiled village/small town about 15 minutes by car from the bustling tourist town of Goreme. The Ortahisar Cave Hotel is a great little oasis two minutes walk from the heart of this small town. Nuray with her brother Ahmet along with Fatma the manager and another woman whose name I never worked out (my apologies!) have been incredibly helpful throughout our 6 day stay. The hotel comprises a large enclosure with a courtyard and garden and cave-rooms. These cave-rooms are cool in the summer, well equipped and comfortable with a great shower and plentiful hot water. Breakfast is typically Turkish with delicious bread and various jams and honey etc and an omelette. For us this has been a place from which to explore Cappadocia, and the family here all helped with suggestions and ideas and entertained us in the evenings with great generosity making us feel really welcome. Thank you all for a lovely stay! Romney and Sandie

Three trips to the country have stayed in Cappadocia for about 20 days. Cappadocia is composed of many towns besides Nevsehir and Kayseri. The town of Goreme is in China. Most famous but compared to Goreme's over-commercialization, I prefer this town to Otahesa orthahisar. This is a small town free traveler who also chooses less here but perhaps officially retains more of the country's cultural hotel. 3 minutes walk from the town center supermarket cafe attractions museum, even if you want to go to Goreme restaurant, there is a minibus 6 lira can take a taxi 30 lira hotel is very comfortable and style is more characteristic than other cave hotels, the cave hotel is most afraid There is no elevator and this hotel is one of the few breakfasts provided. The rich humanistic care highlights the opportunity to experience

The hotel located in a quiet area with a good view. The hotel is very cozy, the room is quite spacious, very new and clean. It has an amazing terrace which is good for taking pictures. (And they have a very lovely cat!) The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They provide us informations, arrange airport shuttle bus for us and even noticed our flight has changed. My friends and I enjoyed this hotel very much. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Hotel parking is very convenient, very suitable for self-driving tour, the room is very large, the room is big one small bed, one room and one small room, breakfast is OK, it is worthy of this house price, especially the front desk service is very warm, My language is not good, the little girl and my colleagues are tired of it, ordering a hot air balloon for me, asking the hot air balloon company repeatedly, and giving a lot of help. Although it has not been finalized because of the weather and other reasons, I hope to have good luck tomorrow morning. Thank you! Attach a photo of the little girl service card

This place is literally a cave house, so if you want to live like an authentic cave dweller then this place is for you; oh but don't stress there's wifi :D. Kadir was absolutely amazing. Whenever we needed something like booking a taxi or planning last minute tours he made a quick phone call and arranged everything without a sweat. The location is a little further from the happenings in Goreme however the taxi's aren't too expensive so it didn't matter too much anyway and the tour company's sent a car to collect us with no extra cost. The breakfast was authentically Turkish and fresh, we loved it. We really felt like we were at home because Kadir was awake early in the morning making sure we didn't miss the balloon ride and even stayed up late to make sure we came back safe and sound. We never told this to Kadir but we secretly called him Dad because he was so caring just like our parents and it was something that money couldn't buy. Thanks again for taking care of us! <3 PS. Tachin is the cutest dog ever!

Just returned from 4 days in Cappadocia with friends and it was a truly magical experience, fortunately we managed on second attempt to do Balloon Flight which was the most wonderful experience we will probably ever do! Dreams Cave Hotel Rifat Eser and his Sister made our visit exceptional by smoothing out hiccups not related to them but went the extra mile to make our visit a happy one! Rooms were fabulous typical cave rooms with lovely touches and we were given a choice of low or higher rise rooms, we chose to have upstairs rooms as the view was spectacular, even though please be aware of quite a few steps you will need to climb! Breakfast was abundant and all lovely and fresh, we used Bar at Cave Hotel which was basic but we had beer and wines so no problems there. They accommodate breakfast timings to fit in with various tours you may be doing and allowed us to rest for an hour after Balloon Flight before feeding us. Rifat on a couple of occasions dropped us off in Göreme and also showed us local scenic cave houses which we would not have found on our own, did a little off-roading to get best photos, thanks for all you and your staff did to make our break truly wonderful, lovely family - the best hospitality we could ask for, would love to return some day 👍

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I stayed here with my boyfriend for a few nights and the rooms are stunning. The hosts are so sweet. We are vegan and they were extremely accommodating with our breakfasts- they provided French fries, fresh fruits, jams, breads, fresh vegetables, and beverages. They sat and talked with us and got to know us and it was all so lovely. Please visit this place!

Guys, this place is the most pleasant I stayed in my life , make me feel home . Definitely I will be back again ❤🧡💛💚 People working there is very friendly and the place is very cleaning. exceeded all expectations. This property is charming and magnificent in its décor. The ower made us feel so welcome, my sister Gessica loved so much . A tour of the B & B certainly enlightened us to the possibilities of their establishment- hosting, dinners, wine tasting, small meetings, accommodation for out of town guests of those living in the area- so much more intimate than a hotel. The living area is a great place to sit in the evening. Sharing morning coffee, books and the paper enhanced the beginning of the day in this room also ,is exceptionally clean and the rooms are well appointed and elaborately dressed. Sparking white towels, soft sheets under a duvet , lovely toiletries, use of a bathrobe, make this a 5 star B & B. Breakfast was a feast. Beautiful capadócia, lavish table linens, soft upbeat background music sets the scene. There are delicious selections of Turkish food, scrumptious muffins, juices, and fruits. Attentive service is provided by the ower. Parking is available outside is walking distance to downtown for most. There is lots to do in Capadócia. We strongly suggest that you book early as this is a sought after location. We really enjoyed the hospitality and overnight experienceMore

Other than the great restaurant recommendation this place was all disappointments. We were upgraded from our standard room to a larger room - hooray we thought. The room was quite a bit warm but figuring the “cave atmosphere” would kick in we headed to dinner. Upon return, the room was hot. Called reception as I could not figure out the AC only to be told the room DID NOT HAVE AC! They said it would cool down as the night went on - WRONG. I like warm weather and can sleep just about anywhere etc. I slept 1 hour collectively this night. It was horrendous. The room was completely suffocating (and yes, hot). I’ve stayed in Cave hotels before and yes, they are naturally cool. This one for sure was NOT. And to advertise AC but not include it for all rooms (much less warn of its non-existence) is false advertising (especially when temps reach near 100). The lack of sleep made all the worse because we had to be ready to go by 4:30 am for our balloon ride. It was awful having to come back, cut into our day to repack our things to move rooms. We requested an immediate room change or planned to leave. Honestly, I wish we would have just left. They gave us a room some 3 floors down from the entrance so had to climb many steps to go anywhere. The room had an ok functioning AC which was certainly better than nothing. Breakfast was pretty sad and slow service. It seemed they were just getting back up and running due to COVID. I guess our experience here was so poor that we switched our flights out, but mistakenly left a day early (I blame sleep deprivation) and receptionist didn’t even notice or advise us of our early departure! When we got back in touch with Meta - who had been extremely hospitable to us despite all the setbacks - he said it’s our responsibility to check our itinerary. Sealed the experience here as a total thumbs down. LOCATION: Ürgüp is quiet and far from mostly anything. We ended up renting a car to get around (hotel helped with that which was nice). Red Valley is really close (10 min drive) so that was nice to visit to see the sunset. However, starting the Rose Valley hike on this end (in reverse order) was not ideal (cafes closed etc). There is a nearby “center” but lackluster - not somewhere you’d wander to eat vs grabbing some water and necessities. Would not recommend this hotel. The area was also not ideal.

Very very beautiful European-style rustic hotel, designed with great care, caves, cliffs, terraces, each room has different internal and external structures, there are several collectibles, very artistic atmosphere, breakfast is not self-service, special person to send On the table, rich, intimately added bed, there are steep stairs and slopes, children to stay in charge, the hotel is located in the town under the commanding heights of the castle, because of the location of the town, the hot air balloon in the morning will be a bit disappointing, the number Not too much, 10 or so, there is a public parking lot near 200 meters.

Me & my family stayed there for 3 days. A good place to stay if you plan to do hot air balloon trip. During the day if you're lucky you could spot hot air balloons from the hotel. The swimming pool is large. They offer plenty of choices for breakfast and dinner buffet. The only thing that a bit off with the hotel were the wifi connection in the room were weak. U need to go to the lounge area to get strong connection.

Castle Inn Ortahisar is a wonderful place to stay. Adam and Neriman made my stay there a very special time. It was like staying with friends who just wanted me to have the best time. Adam is a wealth of knowledge about the area, which he loves. He took me on a tour and I got to see some unique frescoes which are not in any of the commercial tours. Neriman is so friendly and cheerful as well as a fantastic cook. My flight was delayed which meant I arrived very late Dilek was on the phone helping to organise the shuttle and Adam was waiting up late to meet me. I want to go back and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Amanda

An overall very good experience. Staff helpful. Hotel clean and very good selection of food for breakfast and dinner. The layout of the hotel is great with a very good pool relaxing area. Close to many of the places you would want to visit in Cappadocia.
