I booked two nights here on the recommendation of a local. I don't regret anything about the stay, and I think it was very good value..... had I been traveling with a group. The suite was beautiful and spacious, wonderful view of the ocean, and fully kitted out with mod-cons (except laundry) TVs, all the necessary amenities for a long stay. The suites are situated above a nice market (think: small grocery store and deli, with a great coffee shop) and would be ideal for a family or two couples (or even three, there are 2 queen bedrooms and a living room, and 2 full baths.) For myself, traveling alone for business, it was a little more than I needed, and there were a couple of things that made it awkward. By far the weirdest thing of all is the check-in process. All that is required is a little signage, or even direct communication from the property owners. I booked through Expedia, so there was no personal communication. Fortunately, the person who made the recommendation told me about the downstairs market, so I was able to identify the site, but no where is there a sign, poster or anything to indicate 1) this is also the hotel and 2) where to check in. I circled the building, parked, walked around the building, finally went in and waited until the coffee barista was free and asked her where to check in. She was very kind (as was all the staff), and directed me to the market check out, so I stood in line there until she was free, at which point she had to go get another cashier to take over her till so she could check me in at yet another till. It was no big deal, but after a day's work and 4 hours of travel to get there, it was a little more challenging than I had wished. And them came the question of dinner. There is another resort about half a km away with an ok Bistro/Winebar, but otherwise there is no on site cafe or restaurant. Again, as a woman traveling alone, I would have booked someplace different. Fortunately, the market is well stocked, and I purchased all I needed for dinner... which I cooked myself... Like I say, a little foreknowledge would have alleviated all of the confusion, I simply would have been prepared. The check out was equally confusing-- I ended up just leaving my key with the lady in the deli. I also would have appreciated a second latch on the door. (For security) All of that aside, these are particular to my needs, and I would HIGHLY recommend this spot to families or groups. There was a lovely patio off my suite as well, that I can well imagine thoroughly enjoying on a warm evening. I would return with a partner or friends Note to property owners: Please add some explanatory signage "Attention Suite guests! Any of our market staff would be pleased to assist you with check-in!". I wouldn't have minded help to my room too-- I had a lot of stuff to bring in, and there is no elevator, so that should be noted too, for guests with mobility issues.

I have stayed at this place before, and it was enjoyable. The place is quite new, well appointed,but... if there is a problem with the heat on a blustery snowy winter evening, Not so good. I was cold and frozen all night, and that nice tile bathroom was even worse. This is not unusual for this place and it's my fault for not calling and having someone fix it. If someone touches the wrong button on the heater is cuts off the heat to the room. Happens all the time. At 10:30 at night I just suffer through and move on in the morning. Not my cup of tea.

After reading previous reviews about the charm this inn had to offer, I knew we had to get it a try! We were not disappointed at all! There were so many heirlooms and interesting details in the hallways of the inn as well as our room. We loved all the extra touches they provided.. small candy dish, a variety of DVDs to choose from, a space heater, complimentary breakfast! I reached out before we arrived to inquire about a vegan option for breakfast and they accommodated us with a delicious vegetable hash topped with fresh avocado, it was the best meal we had on our trip! :) And lastly, but not least, the owner JP was very friendly upon check in & at breakfast, as well as the waitress. You can tell that the owners love preserving the history of the inn, the establishment of their mom & dad's. We will be back!!

Staff were great!!! Rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. Everything was great except the continental breakfast limited choices and eggs were microwavable which didn't settle well with my stomach. If you opted For ordering breakfast and taking advantage of the $5 off the prices were pretty steep. I'd stay here again but skip the breakfast.

Beware!!! Do not stay at this dump! We booked for 3 nights at hotels.com.And you put a credit card on file and pay after your time is up .After 1 sleepless night we realized we could not stay here with our 3 year old. The owner billed our credit card for all 3 nights and refuses to refund us for the 2 nights we didn't stay. She claims to speak no English when convinient and says she just works there has nothing to do with payment when confronted. The rooms are old and outdated. The pictures in their add on hotels.com are from the previous owner many years ago!! Run down dump managed by someone unwilling to work with let alone even have an actual conversation with anyone. We have been trying to recoup our 2 nights fee that we didn't stay and we just found out that she billed our credit card again. That was August this in now February! We now had to cancel our credit card today so she doesn't decide to bill us again!!!!
