We walked from the train station but preferred a taxi in the morning which they arranged for us. The walk is doable but we are 70 and in decent shape but preferred to start the day easy!😀 Highly recommend this very special hotel!!!

Im großen und sauberen Zimmer fühlten wir uns gleich wohl. Beim Abendessen konnten wir bei allen Gängen zwischen zwei Gerichten wählen. Schön fanden wir, dass einheimische Spezialitäten angeboten wurden: Brennesselgnochi oder italienische Rouladen (Involtini). Auch als Vegetarier wurde man gut bewirtet. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück machte uns fit für die nächste Etappe. In diesen Coronazeiten waren wir froh, dass die Besitzerin keinerlei Nachlässigkeit zeigte, immer eine Maske trug und beim Frühstücksbuffet offene Nahrungsmittel (wie Brot, S*****en, Croissant) nur mit Bedienung anbot.

Don’t be mistaken from the outside it looks a little quirky like flats but inside it’s just quite wonderful. The finish is superb with amazing attention to detail and the material wood and stone just exquisite. The staff are so warm and helpful especially the lovey Oana whom almost adopted my little boy and Frederica whom nothing was to much trouble and so helpful and engaging.’Two lovely and friendly ladies whom we will most definitely miss. The breakfast are superb. The fact there isn’t an evening restaurant means the hotel is super quiet sleeping. The cleaning is excellent and so efficient. The ski room is great as is the high quality under ground parking. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is top of the list. I struggle to understand why it’s only 4 star and not 5. Just 500 mtrs from the ski slopes. All rooms have a balcony and the windows are triple pane so no road noise. What a little gem this hotel is. With so many hotels to choose form in Bormeo, I would highly recommend this little piece of heaven. We will definitely be back but until then we really miss you all. Thank you for a great stay.

La posizione dell’hotel è ottimale (lontano dal traffico della Statale 38) e pur essendo lungo una strada non da fastidio il poco traffico che passa di lì; ha un grande parcheggio sul davanti che accoglie anche i clienti dell’annesso ristorante/pizzeria ed ha una vista mozzafiato (che potevamo godere anche dalla terrazza della ns camera). I titolari spiccano per gentilezza, professionalità ed attenzione al cliente, idem le cameriere sono molto gentili e disponibili. La camera ed il bagno erano spaziosi e pulitissimi, letto matrimoniale comodo. La colazione è buona, a buffet, con ampia scelta dolce e salata ed anche prodotti per celiaci. Prima di cena abbiamo gustato uno Spritz riposandoci nel piccolo giardino a fianco del ristorante. L’hanno servito con patatine, tarallini ed un taglierino di ottimi salumi e formaggi con pane. Ovviamente siamo rimasti anche a cena scegliendo dal menù alla carta : sciatt, pizzoccheri (i più buoni mai mangiati, vale la pena l‘attesa scritta di 20 minuti!), tagliata, caffè e amaro. Tutto molto buono. Le porzioni sono talmente abbondanti che,a malincuore, abbiamo dovuto rinunciare sia al contorno (la tagliata e gli sciatt sono comunque serviti con insalatina) ed al dolce. Rapporto qualità/prezzo più che onesto. In sintesi raccomandiamo totalmente questo locale. Ps: la tazzina più preziosa dei miei giri in moto (i Titolari capiranno.. :-) )

The staff from the restaurant and bar were the best. Their smiles did not fail to make to you happy. Exceptional service at dinner and the food was faultless so many special touches you won’t believe. You need to visit to experience them I can not praise this hotel enough and I send my special thanks to the lovely egg and chicken gentleman he was the best you could wish to meet along with the service of the other two young men. Hotel location - come out of TIRANO train station (not the bernina ticket office) to see a house on the right, called Bernina hotel, restaurant. (ask others to say that I have not heard bernina restaurant, I have not found it on the map, but I just come out and stand to the right! Look (the aunt on the phone still said in front of the tirano station! No! Not in front! Yes on the right!) Check in there.
Then the hotel reception will take you into a hidden place you will never find.

Breakfast included and excellent quality, from sweet to salt, the salses were wonderful! The hotel's mountain view makes the stay even more pleasant. The location is not the maximum but still 12 minutes walk from the station. The hotel services are good, although I recommend, as already recommended in booking reviews, to adjust the mirror lights of the bathroom because the remaining light is really too little. Negative details: I found a falling roof from the ceiling in the room but fortunately it was just to push it to her place; two rabbits near the thermophone in the bathroom; a hole in the chairs in the outside of the shower. Overall I would vote 8/10.

Less buffet options, more table service at Breakfast & Dinner along with cocktail hour nibbles - small platters of cheese & ham served at the table. Breakfast is excellent, staff are always friendly and professional, it was fabulous to see some familiar faces on our return! The hotel is always spotlessly clean! We did book a bit later than usual and as such had an attic style room, while it was noisy on the first night, we were undisturbed after that. We could have moved rooms if we'd wanted to but decided not to.. The nights we ate in the restaurant we enjoyed. Wines are good, cocktails are excellent, pasta is homemade and fresh as you'd expect. We didn't always enjoy every dish but that's more down to personal taste than quality. Location is fantastic - a few minutes walk to the lifts to get you an early start. Thank you team, we look forward to returning next year.

The only neo stop at Alp Grum nn we enjoyed it fully because the refuge was on holiday up to 17 /12. It was only a waiting room available but well heated, but this kind of the boy could know it. Rooms are unusual in lay out and whilst we needed a twin bedded room the second bed turned out to be a sofa bed .. The hotel has a very charming patisserie on the entrance with some fine cakes on offer. There is no hotel restaurant. There is an underground car park perhaps less suited for low suspension vehicles but we managed to find a space outside. Hotel front desk very helpful in finding a super charming and very popular restaurant for dinner. Sleep was very good here as the room was very quiet with solid double glazing. A simple if decent breakfast and it was the perfect stopover en route to beautiful Merano and Dolomiti.

Comunque intorno ci sono le montagne, quindi un pochino di vista c'è. L'hotel si presenta carino, uno strano misto di moderno e shabby chic, ma è un boutique hotel, ci può stare. La camera, al primo piano, non è immensa ma neanche angusta, lcatmosfera è piacevole. Arredamento essenziale ma non banale. L'armadio non è grandissimo ma sufficiente per i bisogni di pochi giorni, ci sono cassaforte, frigobar (anche se solo con due bottiglie di acqua) e bollitore con una buona selezione di tè e caffè. Il bagno è spazioso, con doccia walk in. Veniamo alle note dolenti. Innanzitutto la pulizia, decisamente insufficiente. Polvere sulle superfici, in particolare sul porta rotolo della carta igienica e sul phon in dotazione e sui comodini, e una macchia vischiosa marrone non identificata in prossimità del frigobar. Le pareti presentano segni di sporco e deterioramento, in particolare in bagno. La doccia walk in, è forse troppo piccola per questo tipo di configurazione, o forse il soffione non è nella giusta collocazione (esattamente a ridosso dell'apertura) pertanto è letteralmente impossibile fare una doccia senza allagare il pavimento e schizzare acqua sul muro non piastrellato accanto alla doccia e sulla piantana porta salviette. Ciliegina sulla torta, la stanza si affaccia su UNA TERRAZZA IN COMUNE. In pratica, non essendoci alcun tipo di divisorio, i tuoi vicini di stanza possono passeggiare liberamente davanti alla tua portafinestra, dunque privacy zero e zero anche la possibilità di tenere aperto. Qualità del sonno buona, grazie anche alla buona insonorizzazione delle stanze, ma il canalizzato dell'aria è un pochino più rumoroso di quanto dovrebbe. Speravo che la mezza delusione per la camera venisse comunque compensata dalla colazione, ma purtroppo non è stato così. Dei vassoi traboccanti di cibo visti su booking, neanche l'ombra. Varietà e quantità tra le più sc**** che mi sia mai trovata davanti. Intuisco che il buffet viene allestito all'inizio e non più rifornito... La parte dolce consiste in due buone torte fatte in casa , una, massimo due varietà di croissant, yogurt sia sfuso che confezionato, frutta, cereali e semi, marmellate sfuse, miele e cioccolata spalmabile (non Nutella). Se si arriva presto, si può trovare una piccola pila di pancakes che però, purtroppo, sono posizionati su un piatto senza copertura, davanti alla portafinestra aperta sul giardino, quindi subito freddi e alla mercé di vespe ed altri insetti. |0.16km from city centerBe careful of this hotel restaurant food and bill, they are not honest people. When I choose from menu, they provide not the one I order. They insist that is the one. I can only reject to eat so I don’t need to pay for that. However, when checking out next day thé put coffee and dessert on my room that I never order. I would have to argue not to pay for things I never eat. Thé check-out counter woman knows how to fight. I have train to catch, I cannot stop her nonsense. 2016 I was staying in this hotel and very happy. Now they change management, menue, food and staff. Terrible experience, when I checked in I even got a staff to warn me why you come to this hotel. This is not a good hotel. After I experienced it, she was right. Be careful when you check out, check the bill, they put extra you didn’t take to get your money. If you find out you’ll see this check out woman’s face and knows how to fool you and fight with you. I never go back, worst hotel in my travelling experience.

|0.37km from city centerI stayed here for one night ahead of a trip on the Bernina Express. Firstly, I’d have to comment on the fact that, despite its name suggesting otherwise, the hotel is not really that central. It may be reasonably central to what was the old town of Tirano, but it is quite a bit further from the railway station (the main attraction for most visitors, I’d imagine) than many of its competitors. If, like me, you’re trailing heavy luggage behind you, then be aware it’s a good 7-10 minute walk across uneven, cobbled streets with few pavements. All of that said, the hotel was quiet, very clean and generally well presented. Decorative finishes in the bedroom were somewhat dated but the bed itself was very comfortable. A hospitality tray with kettle, a well-stocked mini bar and a decent rain shower were good features. Breakfast was very pleasant but did not offer much in the way of choice of some items, with the bread offering and fresh fruit selections being somewhat limited. Like many hotels these days, a key card is required to operate the room’s powered services such as lighting and ventilation. In public areas, motion sensors do the job. The slightly annoying thing about this property is that the lights seemed to go out nano seconds after passing through a previously unlit area or removing the key card to exit the room. Whilst saving energy and keeping costs low is clearly important for everyone, this felt over zealous and somewhat stingy. Finally, my biggest criticism of the Hotel Centrale would be the exceptionally early checkout time of 10.00am. Bearing in mind that that this hotel rates itself as a 4-star property, this seems an unreasonably early hour to expect guests to have quit their accommodation. Even most budget hotels these days afford guests a checkout time of closer to mid day . Overall, a comfortable enough stay but with some issues which might make me less inclined to either return myself or recommend this hotel to others.
