We stayed at this hotel from a Tuesday to Saturday in March. We were in room 305. This is on the harbor side. We found the room size on the larger size, liked to room entrance, closet space and all of the furniture, in particular. In addition to the bed it has a chair, a love seat and a table with two chairs. It was very comfortable. The room had a small fridge, microwave, and safe. I believe rooms 307 and 309 would have more panoramic views as the 305 view was blocked on one side by a wall jutting out. We did check out room 313 (or 315?) and there was a large palm tree directly in the window blocking the view. Our room was quiet even with the noise from the traffic. This hotel is very convenient to walking trails, local restaurants, etc. We found the staff to be helpful, particularly the Latino gentleman who provide towels in the rooms - very helpful and very nice. The location was very convenient. Parking was a little tight (we had a GMC truck) and a little tough finding a space especially in the evening when the Mexican restaurant next door was busy. The roof top pool and bar was a nice feature. We went up Saturday morning (before the bar opened) and found the cabana cushions stained and the table to be not well cleaned from the night before. they do get a lot of people coming into this boutique hotel to go to the rooftop bar. The bathroom was large and very nice. The quality of the sheets and towels were nice. I do think they should invest in new bed skirt (very stained) and new covering for some of the furniture. Our chair cushion was showing wear and stains. Overall, the hotel was a good choice for us and we would stay again but feel they could make a few investments in some of the materials and it would make a big difference.

This was by far one of the worst stays I have ever had at an IHG property. First all all, I am a platinum elite member and was not welcomed or offered points upon check in. After waiting so long to travel due to covid, we were so excited to be able to come back to FL. We have stayed at this property before and it was good. This time was different. Upon check in there was no bedding for the pull out bed. We were told it was a “busy” day and to check back tomorrow. What?!? Should we have to buy our own bedding for a room we are paying for? She told us it would be ready the next day. We had to sleep with nothing but a sheet. I was so mad. When we stopped the next day we were yelled at by a female desk attendant who had no mask on. She laughed and said “I don’t know who told you that, we don’t have any.” She then proceeded to argue with me and then went to grab us some towels and just happened to find a blanket for us.  On day 3 of our stay I asked if housekeeping could please pick up our trash and towels. We were told they would. When we got back, no one had done either. I took our trash and towels down to the front desk and the same lady with no mask said “well you know we have limited housekeeping right?” Yes I am aware but I asked and was told they would be picked up. No apology from her, she went and got a bin and said put it in there. I asked to talk to a manager and was told she wouldn’t be in today. Day 4, it’s almost 6 am. There are people leaving on flights and guys waiting to go to work and the coffee is ice cold. How hard would it be to have hot coffee ready at this time?  (Also the coffee maker in our room didn’t work) I went back down at 635 and still no coffee, breakfast area not open. Finally opened at 6:45. Also out of toilet paper and the guy at the front desk took 10 minutes to come out of the back room. Wouldn’t you normally man the desk at this time for check out? A few additional notes: There is a guy that must live in the hotel and it’s disturbing. He sits there with his door open all the time and it looks like a hoarder lives there and the smell is bad. There’s heavy semi truck traffic in and out here. The mask policy also must not apply to the staff because every time we went down no one was wearing one unless a customer walked up to them. I will say the staff manning the breakfast area were very polite but that’s the only positive thing I can say.

We were flying out of Pounta Gorda airport early so we pick this motel due to it being only a seven minute drive to the airport. Price was reasonable and one of the cleanest we stayed in while vacationing in Florida. Coffee available 24/7. Staff was courteous and helpful. Would stay there again.

Front desk Tyler was very rude and short. We said how are you today. He didn't even look up and said "busy" upon arrival. He handled a billing issue with the same miserable attitude. Also I left an expensive necklace and earrings on the night table. When I realized it unpacking the next day I called. He put me on hold and then came back and said that he was 100% sure nothing was left in the room. I'm 100% sure it was. Again a very poor way to handle my call. Apparently you can't trust housekeeping either. The rooms are beautiful. The man running breakfast was amazing. The pool area and location are perfect.

It's not the most glamorous of locations, nor the swishest of motels, but it was very clean and convenient. Everything worked: lights, 'fridge, coffee maker, microwave... I was somewhat deterred initially by having to ring the bell and talk through a hatch and this seemed to be the default manner of communications, but apart from that, no complaints. Over the course of the week we got chatting with the owner - not through the hatch! - and wish him well.

As an Ambassador Elite Marriott member, I was very happy to stay at this well run and very clean hotel. The staff there took extra time in advance to make sure an upgrade request was honored. The same staff member, Ella- put extra effort into securing a room for me past my initial reservation for an extra day because work required an extension. The hotel was close to, or at sold out. She gave me an update around noon same day so that I would not have to worry about locating another place while I was working. To top things off, on request, she and another associate (Brittany) found my lost Roku device plugged into the back of the tv, a few days after I had checked out - and Ella shipped it to my home address. It was nice to see these staff members go the extra mile for their guests. I stay at a Marriott every week, and the service I received at this hotel was exceptional. I would also say the hotel is located in a great spot by the highway, and has a few neat places right next door, like a tiki bar. The guys from work and I enjoyed some good food and music down by the bay, a short walk from the hotel. My room was clean and in perfect condition upon check in. Thanks so much for your attention to detail. Jim Habash

My stay was a last minute visit during peak season. The price was reasonable, this property was available, and the reviews of this property were better than nearby higher priced options. The room was clean and comfortable. The room and property seemed to be well maintained. The breakfast is minimal. There is coffee, juice boxes, fruit, cereal boxes, and packaged donuts and danish: no protein in sight. Luckily, the room had a fridge and a microwave. I stocked some Spicy V-8 and hard boiled eggs; add in some hotel-swill coffee and you have breakfast. If all else fails, Waffle House is across the street. There is a pool, but, seemingly, no water heater. In February, the water was frigid. For an Economy hotel, this property is better than most. You don’t get the frills, but you’re not paying for the frills. Walmart is a stone’s throw away so you can pick up some eggs and maybe a microwaveable dinner.

I stayed two nights in the same week . The first night we got in I noticed blood on the pillow cases. Fresh, not blood stained. The management brought in New sheets in less than an hour. The sheets had more hair than you would expect to see prior to that . It had a tv, with 3 or 4 local channels that would come in and go out . Most areas were clean . The main door you could see the light from outside and I'm sure bugs could get in very easily. The AC worked great. Beds were comfortable. It was quiet and safe . As long as important things are clean I'd stay again if I had to.
