Parking is convenient, facing a big river, the summer scenery should be super beautiful. Two kilometers away from the Dachao market, it is very suitable for self-driving. Checking in and out was a breeze and the staff are friendly and helpful. They attend to all guests need and never fail to impress.
Room size was reasonable and they also have a clothes drying cabinet. Bed is comfy and I had good sleeps. Breakfast was good with quality soread.
Will return to Santasport Hotel if I come for my winter holiday in Rovaniemi.

Staff could not do enough for us all though they were extremely busy and when a taxi did not turn up to take us to the airport on our way home the manager/owner dropped everything and took us himself you cannot beat that

They were set up with drying facilities and saunas. The staff in the restaurant were great, it was buffet breakfast and for dinner it was soup to start, a choice of 3 mains and then a dessert, great after a day in the cold. The reception staff and the guides were superb. We went on 3 trips whilst we were there - the husky rides and the nighttime snowmobile to the Lappish hut we ‘full on’. The night time Finnish horse sleigh was more gentle but the nighttime sky filled with stars you could almost touch and the quiet of the forest at night was brilliant. We went into the wildlife park a few times and saw different animals on each occasion. A fabulous holiday was topped off with a night in the igloo, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights and the feeling of standing outside in the cold whilst the lights put on a show above was awesome. This was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had.

The rest of the hotel had a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The entire hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner was great and always freshly prepared. We booked several activities with the hotel. We went ice fishing, snow shoe hiking and did a husky trip, which were organized very well with great personal guides. Overall a wonderful experience in Lapland.

I don't actually have anything negative to say other than we are moving on tomorrow and I have to pack shortly... I don't like packing! Really accommodating. Extremely clean accommodation. Staff are friendly. Car park is easy to get in and out of. To be totally Frank with you I would definitely stay here again and i really hope i do. It is literally minutes from everything you want or need. There is even a BK and a Mcdonalds a stones throw away. I've never met the management but I would like to thank them for the free chocolates and the room upgrade bexause it was my birthday - little things like that go a long way with me. By the way the locals are really friendly.

It is located about 5 minutes on foot from the k supermarket in the city center, and is in the opposite direction from the area where restaurants are gathered.
Although it was the winter season, the sidewalks were cleanly cleared of snow, and after getting off the bus in front of the supermarket, you could walk to the hotel while rolling your carry-on bag.
Not far enough to take a taxi.
There are many houses around and it is quiet.
I didn't use it, but there seems to be a sauna.
Breakfast was delicious. It was a general menu such as bread, ham, cheese, salad, yogurt.
The room was clean, but there was no safe.
There is no partition between the shower and the toilet in the bathroom, so the toilet gets soaked when you take a shower.
Overall, it is a recommended hotel.

Everyone has a different decor and the name of the room reflects that. We prefer usually a hotel with full services but this hotel looked so interesting in the photos that we wanted to see it. The check-in time is at 16:00 but at 14:09 I got an SMS that our ICE room is ready. Earlier I already received the codes for the street entrance and our room door. The ICE room is very stylishly lit. There is a big design bathtub and a separate rain shower. You could find high-quality Rituals toiletries, bathrobes, shaving kits, toothbrushes, etc. Every room has a kitchenette with everything one could expect to need. From the fridge, you found the food for your breakfast. It is included in the room price. There was so much food that we ate already part of it in the evening. We didn't see anybody from the staff but you can get connected with them if you want. There was a button for that in the small lobby. Also, there was a comprehensive manual for the room equipment in the room. The light switches were the most complicated part of our room. There is a luggage room with big closets that can be locked. With the street entrance code, you have access there. Our stay had a good value for the paid 192 euros.

Common area is simple but nice with a Hockey table (kind of stiga). Staff was nice and ready to help. Location is perfect since it 10 to 15 minutes away from Santa village and Santa Park. Point of improvment:it would be nice to have the possibility to book a continental breakfast if needed. Anyway we do recommend the place, children had good time building snowmen and running in the snow.

It is apartment, the elevator is old, the room is new, the layout is reasonable, clean, the facilities are complete, there is kettle and dishwasher. A little taste of decoration. There is a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. Downstairs is the nightclub, but it is too tired to hear the legendary noise. When I arrived, I walked more than a kilometer from the bus terminal. When I left, I went to the No. 8 bus, a few hundred meters away. Luggage can be stored in the bar with the key and the door opens at 10 in the morning. Wi-Fi was not found on the black small device on the bedside table and contacted the owner.

Found our room and started to unpack when a man used a key pass and entered our room and then went out again and then came in again, and went out again…..we were baffled! A few minutes later the not so friendly receptionist came in to our room, (it would have been nice if she had knocked) saying that were in the wrong room….like we’d put ourselves in the room! She went out again and then came back saying we’re in the room and we’ll have to move. Next the Crystal Rep. knocked on the door and said they’d been a mistake and we’re been put in the wrong room and she would find out what room number were moving to (the receptionist never came back to apologised). Then the man came back and barged passed us and put his suitcase in the room and disappeared again! The Crystal Rep helped us move to the other room …..thank goodness for her - she said she would feedback to the hotel manager and the next day he apologised for the inconvenience and gave us a voucher for tea and cake …..we would have preferred the receptionist to apologise for entering the room twice and making out it was our fault that we were in the wrong room!! The room was very basic but clean and comfortable. …..there was a kettle as described but not tea, coffee, milk or sugar as described in a review we read. We didn’t steep properly as you can hear everything going on in the other rooms….we were woken up at 6am every morning to what can only be described as someone tap dancing in the room above. The hotel was filled with at least 95% of families that were on the Santa Package so a very noisy place, and our evening meals were not relaxing at all as the children were constantly running around in the restaurant and climbing over the furniture….it was manic. The food was good but not much of a selection - the Chefs in the kitchen were wonderful and served us with hot vegetarian meals. The breakfast selection was good but if you like warm portage and warm pancakes you will be disappointed as hot food was always luke warm ….as the the soup in the evenings and the water in the earn was never boiling.

The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

|2.86km from city centerWe booked on booking.com, but when we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked and we were being downgraded. We had originally booked the room with private sauna, so were very disappointed that we did not have this facility, particularly as the communal sauna is only open for around 3 hours per day and we had an activity booked the same time so could not use it at all. The location is stunning and we had fun walking the various trails from the hotel. We had two activities booked which both collected from the hotel, but otherwise we had to get taxis to and from the town centre as there is no public transport to the hotel. Taxis cost around €20 each way, and reception can book them for you. Room was nice, but the light switches were quite difficult to use. We were also a bit cold and could not see a way to up the temperature. The bath was lovely, and came with bubble bath, robes and slippers which we made use of. Our view was of a car park, so that was not great. Breakfast was amazing, lovely views and they even had honey on the comb. You have to book the restaurant in advance, or make alternative plans (but keep in mind there are not really any other options around the hotel). Staff were friendly.

The glass part faces the setting sun and the scenery is beautiful. There is a small kitchen, a Finnish sauna and a dining table and chairs for two people. Two small beds about 70 cm wide can be gently pulled out under the 1.5-meter bed. There are also quilts and enough pillows. But you can't spell it by yourself. You must add money to live with one more child, so the number of people who book a room must be the same as the number of people who check in. The air-conditioning is very cold, but it is in the kitchen and dining table of the wooden house, and the temperature in the glass bedroom cannot be fully adjusted during the day. The glass house will be sultry at noon in the morning of July (depending on the temperature, 27 degrees during the day and 19 degrees at night). In summer, you need to go out. After 4:30 in the afternoon, it will be very comfortable until 7 or 8 in the next morning. This is a common shortcoming of glass houses, and the price in summer will be more attractive. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay. Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health) 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection. One could hear music even in the sauna. After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.” Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem. Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.” ”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.” I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would. Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host. After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing. After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking. *it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore. Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning) Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

The apartment is really spacious and super warm! The sauna is great; gets up to around 85-90°C. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the city centre or Santa's Village. There is shopping about a 3-4 minute drive. Unless you've rented a car, I would suggest using the offered taxi service which is run by the company. Kitchen has everything you'd need; microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. My only suggestion would be a couple more towels because between showers and saunas, you'd be finished with them very quickly!

|0.64km from city centerStayed at Arctic Light Hotel during a conference in Rovaniemi. Got a fairly small top-floor room with a roof window (hence, no view but of the late-summer sky). I think this room was slightly cheaper than a regular room. It was located close to an elevator, which I could hear but it did not bother me. The room was very clean, nice and cozy - and a good place to retreat back to after long conference days. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a good selection of food, yogurts, cakes and coffee. The only downside was getting a thin orange juice from a machine. Fresh juice would have been more appropriate among all the other good food. The two gentlemen at the reception desk, Mark and Max, had a very pleasant manner and provided excellent service and advice. The hotel itself, located in the old city hall, is brilliant and good looking and beautifully designed. Definitely a place to recommend!

It is a small hostel but has good facilities including a good kitchen and lounge area. Layout is a little odd- it looks like it used to be a shop that has been converted into a hostel. The staff are really friendly and very helpful- try to let them know your arrival time so they can then be there to check you in (there is no reception or 24/7 front desk). It is very clean and well maintained. There is free tea and coffee and equipment for guests to use. There are only two down points-there is nowhere to store your luggage (no lockers) and the partition wall between the bedrooms and the lounge area doesn't go all the way to the top of the building so you can hear any noise from people talking/the TV in the lounge.

Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.
