          Weinhaus Uhle is absolutely delightful. Our family of 5 guests stayed there during a week-long trip to Schwerin, which is a charming city. Perfectly located within walking distance to shopping, dining, the castle, the theater, the museum, and other city sights, the hotel is beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff is professional and welcoming. And now, the food. Starting with breakfast in the adjacent restaurant, tables were beautifully set and tiered trays presented lovely cheeses, fruits, meats, and jams. The bread basket was exceptional. Coffee was excellent and kept hot and plentiful on the table. We treated ourselves to dinner at the Weinhaus Uhle's Michelin restaurant and we were all overwhelmed by the food and the service. With each course, a surprise from the kitchen delighted us! Each course was gorgeously presented and delicious beyond description. Even the salt was unique. Our family spent four marvelous hours at the beautifully set table and it was the most amazing meal I've ever had. Each dish was uniquely presented, right down to heated and chilled vessels. If you have the opportunity to stay at Weinhaus Uhle, you'll be delighted that you did. We will definitely return!

The only thing that is unclear: Its name was Boulevard Hotel Altstadt Schwerin, not Mercure Hotel Altstadt Schwerin, although it is this hotel in all descriptions and photos

          Pannen können immer mal passieren. Aber ein unprofessioneller und frecher Umgang damit ist nicht zu entschuldigen. Was war passiert? Trotz einer schriftlichen Reservierung, in der ich als Rollstuhlfahrer angekündigt worden war, wurde mir beim Check-in lapidar mitgeteilt, das einzige barrierefreie Zimmer sei belegt. Ich solle halt ein normales Zimmer nehmen. Oben angekommen, kam es, wie es kommen musste. Die Türen der normalen Zimmer alle zu eng! Also wieder zurück zur Rezeption. Dort entgegnete mir der Mitarbeiter, er habe keinen Fehler gemacht und hinterfragte, ob ich das Behindertenzimmer wirklich reserviert habe. Erst als ich ihm meine Reservierung zeigte, begann er, sich zu bemühen. Aber nicht etwa, um mir ein passendes Zimmer in einem anderen Hotel zu organisieren, sondern um den Hotelgast, der das Zimmer hatte, dort wieder hinauszubefördern. Also nicht nur ein verärgerter Gast, sondern zwei! An der Stelle reichte es mir und ich besorgte mir selber eine Alternative. Der Mitarbeiter war sichtlich erleichtert, aber an der Stelle wäre es nett gewesen, mal ein Wort der Entschuldigung zu hören. Fehlanzeige! Der Hotelmanager werde sich am nächsten Tag bei mir melden, hieß es. Aber bei der Ankündigung blieb es dann auch. Gutes Krisenmanagement geht definitiv anders!

          wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern gebucht, hatten aber leider nur für 3 Personen Bett und Handtücher. Die Studios sind dafür definitiv zu klein. Die ganze Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen. sofern man am See/Strand zur Kaffeezeit bedient werden wollte musste man beim Personal auf Knien betteln. Die Servicekraft die uns bediente sagte zum Nachbartisch die auch eine Bestellung aufgeben wollten, das Sie das nicht macht und man solle doch bitte dann selber ins Restaurant kommen und seine Bestellung aufgeben, er macht es nicht.

          Bij aankomst werd gezegd dat we in de parkeer garage terecht konden (donker en stinken naar uitlaatgassen) dus hebben we naast het hotel een parkeerplaats voor minder validen gevonden Gratis ! Het doet allemaal wat overdone aan maar goed het is er wel Bed breedte was 1.40 Ontbijt 15 euro pp met slappe Croissants maar wel een toaster . de prijs is te veel voor wat er was. Na een lange reis wilden we graag eten Nou vergeet het maar . De man in het restaurant zei gelijk U kunt hier niet eten je moet het een dag tevoren bestellen !!! Daar zit je dan in je rolstoel ,het enigste wat kon was een buffetje a raison van 25 eur pp Zijn we toch maar naar de stad gegaan met de auto naar Paal 7 ,mooi uitzicht en een lekker diner. Midden in de nacht 02.03 brand allarm oorverdovend iedereen naar beneden met de trap. wij hadden kamer 421 en de politie zette me in het einde in een afgesloten gedeelte ,de liften werkten natuurlijk niet. Het allarm werd gestopt door de sirenes van de zolder te slaan /vals allarm Geen bakje koffie kon er af geen excuus voor het ongemak . zelfs geen sorry. Dit was eens maar nooit meer. 4 sterren ?? ja in je dromen
