This was booked through a travel agent when we said, nothing fancy just travel lodge type, for sleeping only really. It was for me and my daughter, 60 and 40, twin room requested. It looked ok on website so we were happy. Oh dear, when we got there we were told, you have our deluxe double, i told the receptionist we had requested a twin, he said non were available, so we thought a double like a travel lodge/premier it would be fine. The room was the size of your little bedroom in a house, the bed was long ways on running against the wall, after a conversation with the receptionist, a twin room miraculously appeared at a price of a further 200 dollars!! Over a barrel we agreed, what choice did we have! Once in new room, which was nice and had rooftop balcony, we decided to shower and change before eating, the shower was via the toilet in the room, i got in and then my daughter shouted mum, don't turn round! the shower, which was lovely and hot, was exposed to the whole room through a full length window! No modesty at all. The room service and cleanliness was great and i am sure for a certain type of guest these rooms are good value and do the job. I have attached the welcome poster on the back of the door, we have laughed since. Also don't eat at the joint next door, it too expensive and not good value, walk to the end of the street onto 2nd ave and you ll find lovely eatery's and service. Also don't use their return to airport service, they use a luxury limousine service which is double the yellow taxi!Check Availability

Hotel is located in a very convenient place, public parking is right across from the hotel, 10 minutes walk to Time Square. 15 minutes walk train station.
Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for two nights, room is small and has only basics but functions, I am happy we stayed there.Breakfast

The location of the hotel is very good, walking distance from the Central park, Times Square and Madison Square Garden. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well maintained every day, although signs of aging of the furniture and amenities are visible. The restaurant on the ground floor is open every day, but the rooftop bar, with an amazing view over the city, only from Thursday till Sunday. The hotel is very busy and it is constantly difficult to catch an elevator, while the entrance of the hotel was probably the biggest disappointment. This area is being used as a storage for laundry containers and smoking area, while windows are not being cleaned and overall it is completely neglected... With a small investment, this area can be transformed into an amazing outdoor space that can completely change the impression of the hotel. Big plus is that every morning, free filter coffee is served at the reception for all guests.Breakfast

I had 2 nights in Aliz Hotel.
The location is closed to subway stations and a bunch of restaurants and shops are nearby.
Walk distance to Time Square and Bryant Park.
The room is really clean and tide.
There is a coffee machine with free coffee tubes, which I enjoyed a lot.
And there is also a small refrigerator with 2 bottles of water for free.
You have to bring you own slipper, rope, shower cap,toothbrush and toothpaste.
The room has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturizer and soap.
A steamer is in the closet for steaming the room
The Wi-Fi is also quite fast. But the signal in different locations varies
I didn’t check their amenities since they are closed for the pandemic.
The only problem was that there had a lot of noise in the hallway and from other rooms next to my room.
It is a really good hotel overall,
I think it will be a good choice for your stay in the city.Breakfast

The only complain is they didn't gave us back the deposit of $65 which was they told us it will be automatically get refunded after we checked out. The hotel is in a good location three minutes walk from the subway station. The room facilities are simple and suitable for one person and two adults. It is slightly cramped. The hotel has a number of pros and cons, but overall would not be my top choice for staying in New York. For me, the hotel location whilst reasonably convenient if you are doing business in the Financial District, feels a bit sketchy. It's a quiet street near the piers with minimal attractions in the immediate vicinity. The lobby itself is quite dismal (which seems to be a recurring theme with other Fairfield Inns I have visited). The rooms themselves have nice decor and decently sized. Unfortunately, I was staying for a number of nights and the room I was given had an adjoining door to the next room. This meant that noise in the next room was amplified. The first evening was fine - although I could hear a female on the phone to someone this was no major disruption. However, on the second night I heard many males (at least 4) in the room next door who were coming in and out and taking calls through until the early hours of the morning. Given there were only a few rooms on each floor and their room faced the elevator. I did not fancy calling reception to solve the issue then and there. Fortunately, the next morning I spoke to reception they promptly changed my room to one on another floor with no adjoining door. This was a vastly different experience, but I would not necessarily a great hotel for female solo travelers. There is also free breakfast buffet included, which has a decent selection of food and beverages which you can eat in the sitting area or take back to your room. Overall the service is very friendly and prompt, the rooms are well appointed for the price, but unfortunately the layout doesn't necessarily feel particularly secure.Breakfast

The Edison Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Manhattan! The location, which is right in the theatre district and a block and a half away from Times Square, is exceptional. One can take a short walk over to Ninth Avenue where there are dozens and dozens of great restaurants. It is near everything!!! The staff were great! They seemed to go out of their way to be polite and professional, which is unusual in this area. Our room was very nice with a King Bed and a great view of the city. While we did not try the Hotel's restaurants and bars they seemed to be fulled of happy customers. The room price, when compared to value provided, is a bargain. You can easily pay a lot more in this area and receive a lot less.. I have stayed in this general area at a number of Hotels in the past that failed to motivate me to write a review. Try this Hotel the next time you are in town. You will come back!!Breakfast

The location of the hotel is invincible. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square, and countless famous attractions in Manhattan. Next to the subway station, the transportation is very convenient.
The hotel service is also very good. Hair dryer and coffee machine were sent to the front desk by phone. The room was clean and tidy.
It is basically full, causing the elevators to be very tight and need to wait. Some rooms in the hotel are a bit old-fashioned, and the details such as the corners may not be very beautiful. Let's see if someone pays attention.Breakfast

Starting from the point we entered the hotel, Gigi greeted us and truly gave my wife's birthday stay a great start! She remembered us the next day which always makes you feel at home away from home. We were very happy with the esthetics of the hotel including the lobby-level lounge and rooftop bar. The room was clean and spacious (by NY standards) and was the perfect location for a SoHo experience. Hazel was great at the bar and the overall experience was enjoyable and we look forward to returning for a longer stay!Breakfast

The front desk and service staff are all Chinese. The rooms are large and well-equipped. There is a dedicated Shuttle charges at JFK Airport. When I left the store, I sincerely told the front desk that it would definitely be a good review. So I must give it a good review. One of the most recommended hotels in Manhattan Central Park. My son thinks it is better than the Trump Hotel which is a few steps away (Trump can cook for himself), there is nothing to say from the front desk to the room facilities and services, it is highly recommended. It is best to book a room facing the street, which is a lot bigger and more expensive.Breakfast
