Location for this hotel is good as it’s just beside Wanhua TRA, Metro station just behind it which makes my family to travel around easily. Many great eateries nearby and mini marts too.
Hotel room is good, daily room cleaning services with very polite cleaning staffs. Except that the aircon filter needs to be clean up as the dusts are trapped inside the room which can be seen on the bed headboard n mirror.
Stayed for 6 nights and everything was great.
Very helpful staffs at the reception n concierge counters to resolve our queries despite late night hours.
The only dissatisfaction was that lady hotel staff manning beside the duty manager counter on Sunday 17/03/24 noon, we can visually witness her rolling her eyes with unhappy expression when her colleague informed her that we would like to do currency exchange.From$70

All my ********* friends told me Regent taipei hotel is the top no. 1 hotel in Taiwan. This time after I stay I totally agree with them. The hotel has many kinds of restaurants, facilitates and very up to standard service by all the staff. Reception, congeries Kevin, express hotline Alice 徐, housekeepers a lady & 黃凱彥 are all friendly, kind and cheerful. I really feel so happy for this stay. More important is this time I come here to celebrate my father 80 years birthday. He is very happy and enjoyable in particular the Sauna. All in all this stay is so memorable and really worth me to write a good review. If u ask me anything to improve I will say the lift for B3, too crowd and need to wait for so long. Decorated /laid out but could be a bit brighter with more lights.
Downside is some part of the room is quite dusty but bed is clean and comfy in general.
Very good location that most shopping or dining area is easily accessible from the hotel.
We had three rooms booked on same floor but different directions , two of the rooms can hear the busking downstairs clearly tho (could be a bit annoying at night)

E**za at the front desk of this hotel was the worst Hyatt staff I've ever met, or any hotel staff I've ever been to. She kept asking me what time I would come, saying the room wouldn't be ready at 3 pm. That was very rude and disgusting.
It's your fault that you can't check in at 3 pm, not my problem that I have to come back late. If you're going to do it that way, change the check-in information to 17:00 instead of 15:00 and provide more accurate information, okay?
The staff at the hotel in Ximen where I stayed before Grand Hyatt Taipei were really smart and friendly, so I had high expectations when I went to the Hyatt, but E**za let me down right from tne start.

I don’t need to take transport to hotel as it’s only a few minutes walk . My first Stay at your hotel is very satisfying So I come to stay again with my family & friend.
The Food at the Buffet Breakfast is also great. Their Chinese restaurant is the most I like . So so so good & yummy. So far it’s the best Chinese Cantonese food.

Well, when it comes to value to money, this hotel is a let down.
The price is overrated compare to the added value of the room and service you can get.
Unless you really have high budget for hotel stay so that you can afford their suites room in high floor, the room (including its view) is just a so so (compare to its price)
The most let down is their breakfast service in Yen. It consistently gave me an unfair table placement during my stay. Fyi, I am a non chinese asian solo traveller. I always come to the breakfast place quite early before 7 AM so that there are so many empty table. The restaurant officer always escort me to sit in small table with almost no view. Everytime i asked why i can't sit in the more better better place, they will answer that the tables are for more than 2 person. Again, i arrived very early in the morning so that almost every tables are empty. First, i tried to be positive, that maybe this restaurant would be very full soon and the officer would consistently place a single person guest like me in the smaller uninteresting position table. I was very dissapointed when they just escorted single or 2 person westerners to the tables with the best view with the capacity for 4 people or even sofa pavillion for 6. They were stayed there alone until their finish their breakfast. So dissapointed with this unfair treatment. Its front desk performance during my check out on june 4th 2023. It's almost 7 and only 1 officer standby. It's a very long waiting time (since i wait there since 06.35 AM). I also cant use the express check out because the express check out box has information that i can only do the express check out if I chose it during the check in (which nobody informed me).
So my insight from this trip is:
1. Prepare a high budget so that you can afford their suites. You will experience the real W experience with that kind of room
2. Their breakfast restaurants service not really a best place for solo asian non chinese traveller. It has a great food and good view but yeah not the best service based on my experienceFrom$307

When my family arrived, the lobby was super crowded,(maybe due to new year) and a great place to take pictures.
The room was quite big, but the toilet was quite dirty. The bathtub had brown stains, and the corners of the toilet were caked in mold.
The hotel was connected to Taipei Main Station through Exit M6. There was a lift directly connected to room.
We took a Tra train one stop to Rouhe night market, it was very convenient.

The cleanliness of the hotel room is such a disappointment. The bathroom wall grouting & silicon was moldy, and spider webs were in the room. The TV and aircon vent were super dusty. The aircon, even off, was extremely cold.
The overall cleanliness is terrible, with noticeable dust accumulating in several areas. It was disappointing and not up to the hygiene standards one would expect from a hotel room.
To make matters worse, the cleanliness issues persisted even after the room was supposedly cleaned. The bathroom grouting remained moldy, spider webs lingered, and the attendant neglected to vacuum away the hairs on the floor. The bed has insects, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. This consistent neglect of hygiene standards throughout my stay was disappointing and unacceptable. Hotel swimming pool, steam room, sauna room and hot water pool are very well maintained. Friend housekeeping, fitness Centre staff and front desk staff. Especially the female doormen, give clear instructions on how to get to metro stations and nearby eateries. Will stay at this hotel again when I visit Taipei. The first step is to contact the staff via Line, which the QR code is above the number lock at the entrance and I saw a couple of people not being aware of it, then provide with them a photo of your passport. After that, you’ll get two sets of passcodes, one for the main entrance and another one for the box storing your keycards.
The procedure is alright if you understand written Chinese, and preferably speak Mandarin, but definitely hard if you are neither.

The location of the hotel is in between Taipei Main Station and Beimen Station. If you have large luggages, do use the entrance/exit nearer to TaoYuan MRT upon arriving at Taipei Main Station. There are escalators and lifts to assist for that entrance/exit. Otherwise you can walk through the underground mall (Taipei City Mall) to Exit Y21, hotel is 3 mins walk away from Y21. Do note that Exit Y21 is a few long flight of stairs.
The hotel is 2 bus stops away from Ximending, 10-15mins walk away from NingXia night market and you can walk to many places from the underground Taipei City Mall. A lot of food around the area too!
Upon arrival at the hotel, we had to do self check-in with staff on the side to assist us readily.
We were given a room on the 3rd floor and with a bathtub. Room looked and felt clean, it's bright and space was decent without being too cramp. Hotel gives bottled water and they have water dispensers for guests to refill.
I'm grateful that the TV have many channels to watch. Bed and pillow is pretty comfortable, and there were many hooks on the wall for us to hang up our jacket and clothes. The wall hooks were greart as we could air our clothes and jackets everyday when we're not wearing them!
We had issues with the bathroom. Water pressure and temperature was alright, but the shower doors for the bathtub was constantly allowing water to leak onto the floor whenever we showered.
Everytime after a shower, the bathroom floor will have a puddle just below the door.
It is very dangerous and slippery, and we have to place the bath mat there to soak up the water making the bath mat very soggy. Hopefully the hotel can rectify this issue in the bathroom.
Would also prefer this hotel if I could flush toilet paper down the toilet. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of throwing soiled paper into a waste bin due to hygiene (but had to get used to it for many places in Taiwan).
WiFi was slow at times but at least I didn't not encounter the WiFi disconnecting from my devices.
Staff was helpful when we needed to weigh out luggages and when we needed to discard food trash out from our room.
As the hotel is a tall building, but City Suites is only from L1 to L3, do note that the sound insulation for this hotel isn't that good. We could hear cars and trucks passing by at night. Thankfully, Aircon for the room isn't noisy. If you're sensitive to noise, remember to bring earplugs.
I won't mind staying at this hotel again if I'm back in Taipei!

The breakfast was a ticket to a sandwich shop down the street. So basic. They also made you collect new tickets every day and refused to give them more than 1 day in advance. Absolutely worthless.
I chose this place because I was solo traveling and I wanted to see if I could meet other travelers. That didnt happen as the communal spots are few and far between, so no one is ever in there.
On top of that, something went wrong with my hotel key and I was locked out of my room late at night when I was trying to go to bed. It took them 30 minutes to get my door open.
You can find cheaper hotels just as nice. Not recommended.

However, we had trouble finding the location as it was in between stores. The way to the inn is had stairs so we carried our luggages. The room is neat and tidy but smelled really old. The comforters smelled like it hadn’t been washed. The inn only provided sachets of body shower and shampoo so I suggest bringing your own toiletries.

The toilet is clean and spacious, with a TOTO washlet, bathtub, shower, and washbasin! It was a hot and humid day, but the air conditioning was working well since I entered the room. 1. The location is super convenient! Take the MRT to Jiantan Station, exit 2 and cross the road directly, and walk for 1 minute. The entrance is a bit inconspicuous, with automatic black railing doors.

The front desk is on the elevator and can be manned to ６ floor and up to 15:00-18:30. Other than that, I felt that it would be difficult to use unless I was used to it because I needed to operate with an automatic check-in machine.
When I went around 11:00, there was a staff member and I was saved by teaching me a lot.
The elevator cannot be operated unless you type the start code on the side without starting it in normal investigations outside the management time, so you need to register the hotel LINE when staying.
The room is small, but I don't think it's too much to worry about if you're traveling alone for a short period of time. Because it is a unit bus, there is no partition between the toilet bowl and the shower, so it may be better to be careful if you are concerned.

|4.53km from city centerLocation for this hotel is good as it’s just beside Wanhua TRA, Metro station just behind it which makes my family to travel around easily. Many great eateries nearby and mini marts too.
Hotel room is good, daily room cleaning services with very polite cleaning staffs. Except that the aircon filter needs to be clean up as the dusts are trapped inside the room which can be seen on the bed headboard n mirror.
Stayed for 6 nights and everything was great.
Very helpful staffs at the reception n concierge counters to resolve our queries despite late night hours.
The only dissatisfaction was that lady hotel staff manning beside the duty manager counter on Sunday 17/03/24 noon, we can visually witness her rolling her eyes with unhappy expression when her colleague informed her that we would like to do currency exchange.

|1.59km from city centerLocation is extremely convenient as it is just a walk away from Songjiang Nanjing station. Just a station away from Xingtian Temple and Ningxia Market. Quiet and quaint neighbourhood with lots of cute cafes and restaurants in the inner streets. I liked the hotel’s ambition to be as environmentally friendly as possible, such as having a resealable bag for soap and drinking water dispensers on each floor. Will definitely stay again in the future!

The room is a bit small, but apart from all accommodations in Taiwan, the facilities are all new, so it's pretty neat and nice. However, it is a little disappointing that room cleaning service is not provided, but I really recommend it.

|6.9km from city centerDuring the stay, I observed that the boss cleans the room every day. The bed is more comfortable than expected with a thick mattress. There are lockers in the room to store luggage. There is a bus nearby to the MRT station. Ask the boss to get information on local food. There are 2 cute cats in the hostel. The owner and his wife are kind to the guests. During the stay, the roommates in the room are also very quiet and friendly. The bathroom is afraid of getting wet. It is more convenient to bring your own bag for clothes

And taking off your shoes makes you feel very clean
But what really matters to me is that everyone's room is not wearing a mask.
The counter staff is not managed either
