We stayed here as a family of five (2 adults and 3 children) during our layover from Nha Trang. We had a large suite with multiple bedrooms. Everything was clean and nice, and the service was good. They met us at the airport, brought us to the hotel, and checked us in quickly. They also recommended places to go for a walk. In the morning, they took us back to the airport. The transfer was available for an additional fee.

This hotel was a fantastic find! The Guest Relations team was incredibly helpful, recommending great places to eat. The doorman at the front desk was also super friendly, even remembering our room number. The environment is lovely, and it's right in a lively neighborhood. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I'd definitely choose this hotel again! My dad actually stayed here previously and recommended it, and I can truly say my experience was excellent. The entrance is a bit hidden, but that didn't affect our stay at all; in fact, it made the place feel more peaceful and quiet.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right by Hoan Kiem Lake. The service during our stay was impeccable, from the bellhops handling our luggage to the front desk check-in process (you just sit in the waiting area, enjoy the welcome drinks, snacks, and dried fruit, while the staff brings your documents over to you for check-in. Tom, a lovely and enthusiastic young man, assisted us). The breakfast staff (it's a buffet plus made-to-order menu) were also excellent every day. Everyone was proactive in recommending attractions, how to get there, and even the best times to see the train street. The spa here is also excellent and offers great value for money; I highly recommend trying it. They use the same skincare brand as the St. Regis. Oh, and definitely try the rooftop restaurant! The complimentary drink vouchers can be exchanged for fresh juice or two ginger ales, and the night view is stunning.

Mixed experience with this hotel. First the good things: the location is great, right in between old town and central government buildings, museums etc., the staff are helpful and friendly, there’s a nice bar on the rooftop and a lovely spa too, there’s even a guide of some good restaurants nearby. The not so good: the room we were given had one tiny window (unlike the room pictures on Trip.com) and felt very dark, so we chose to downgrade ourselves to a smaller room with windows on two sides for more light. The walls of the rooms were thin, so we were kept up very late by chatter next door one night then woken up by a screaming child early next morning - not the hotel’s fault, but to be aware. The rooms weren’t that clean (hair hanging off the shower head etc). We were also ridiculously overcharged for a room service item, the staff were very nice and removed it from the bill when we queried, and offered us free breakfast to make up for it, but the breakfast was distinctly not as good (less variety, less fresh, Vietnamese coffee charged extra) as the one we’d had at a similarly priced Saigon hotel the previous days.

A good hotel, not the newest, but tidy. We booked a room without a window, but they upgraded us to one with a huge window for free, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The only drawback, common in many Vietnamese hotels, was the air conditioning unit being directly above the bed. Luckily, the room we were given was large enough that we could move the bed ourselves to avoid feeling the draft at night. The breakfasts were good, with a more Western-style cuisine. The pool, as seen in the photos, is small but nice, and in Hanoi's Old Quarter, you'll be glad to have even that. Directly opposite the hotel, there's a laundry service and a couple of travel agencies with very favorable currency exchange rates. One thing for travelers choosing the Old Quarter as their base to consider: from Friday evening and throughout the weekend, some central areas are either closed off or have restricted traffic, and (in our case) on Saturday, it can be difficult to get a taxi.

We had a very solid and comfortable stay at the San Premium Hotel, which is perfectly situated right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The location is incredibly convenient, with everything you could possibly need located just a short walk away. The absolute highlight of our experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff is extraordinarily courteous, welcoming, and proactive. Their English proficiency is excellent, which made communication seamless. When I approached them with several non-standard requests, they handled them with high-level professionalism and genuine politeness, and they were always quick to assist with our luggage. The accommodation itself was highly satisfying. We stayed in a spacious room that featured a wonderfully large terrace. The bathroom was well-appointed and in great condition. Most importantly, the level of cleanliness throughout the room was flawless. The bed and pillows provided a very comfortable night's sleep, and I specifically appreciated the use of proper fitted sheets - a crucial detail for comfort that many hotels surprisingly overlook. It is exactly this kind of attention to basic hospitality standards that makes a property reliable. The only notable area for improvement is the breakfast. The morning buffet was quite monotonous and the food lacked flavor, so I cannot say I was impressed by it. However, if you are only staying for a couple of days, it is completely tolerable, especially considering the abundance of excellent dining options right outside the hotel doors. Overall, the exceptional staff, meticulous room cleanliness, and prime location easily make up for the mediocre breakfast. This is a highly reliable hotel that delivers on the most important aspects of hospitality.

Hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. However, the air conditioner temperature in the room is hard to navigate and it felt warm in the middle of the night. The rooftop bar is supposed to be opened till 11pm (according to the info provided on the key card). However, it was already locked when we visited it at 9.30pm. Otherwise, everything else was good. Service was exceptional, would like to compliment Mr Lo Dai (senior chef at the pho and egg station) for his attentiveness and patience towards guests. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel stay was the perfect end to our Vietnam trip with friends and family, and we were absolutely delighted. We especially appreciated the early check-in at 10 AM and late check-out at 4 PM the next day for an extra $24, which was a fantastic option before our late-night flight back to Korea. The welcome fruit and refreshments in the room were a lovely touch, and my friend was so happy to receive a surprise flower delivery to our room in the afternoon. The king-size room felt more spacious than the twin room. The pool was large and clean, and the breakfast offered a great variety. The pho, in particular, was the best I've had during my two-week trip in Vietnam. If I come back to Hanoi, I will definitely choose the Daewoo Hotel again.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (from August 3 to 6). We really liked the hotel! Many thanks to the hotel staff! Especially to the young people who worked at the reception. We arrived on the first day at 12 at night and spontaneously decided to go on an excursion to Halong Bay. They helped us book everything. When we left, they loaded all the suitcases into the car. And the young man in a white shirt from the reception always smiled and answered questions. We liked the breakfasts. There is a choice of dishes, everything was delicious. The waitresses smiled. The room was clean. The room was the same as in the photo. I also liked the location in the old city. We reached Lake Hakiem in about 12 minutes. On the excursion, they picked us up right from the hotel. And when we walked to the hotel, you could feel the flavor of the old city. Many thanks to the hotel staff for their hospitality! P.S. I forgot to take a photo of the hotel, they gave up. The photo shows the building opposite the hotel.

We chose this residence over a hotel for our wedding anniversary family trip, thinking it would be more comfortable, and it turned out to be a great choice. On our first day, we were tired, so it was nice to be able to simply cook dinner at the accommodation and then relax right away. What was really disappointing was not getting a high floor or a lake view, which we had hoped for – perhaps because it was peak season. We ended up on the second floor, and it was quite a shock to be able to clearly see the vivid everyday life of our neighbors through the balcony window in the evenings. We had to keep the curtains closed for the entire duration of our stay. Aside from this, it was a satisfactory stay. Our flight back was at midnight, and we wanted to add a half-day stay, but unfortunately, it was fully booked. However, the hotel was very accommodating: they allowed us to store our luggage at the counter, visit nearby restaurants, and use the pool in the afternoon. This was a huge advantage, as we could swim with the kids and shower before heading straight to the airport. I've been to Hanoi many times, but this was my first time staying in the West Lake area. I really liked the more relaxed atmosphere of this neighborhood compared to other areas. It was great to rent a bicycle from the accommodation, go for a manicure, get a massage nearby, and take a stroll around West Lake. The staff were all incredibly friendly, which I appreciated. Of course, the alley leading to the residence was narrow, and the surrounding area was under constant construction, making entry and exit a bit challenging. However, since we mainly used Grab, it wasn't a major issue. The breakfast was simple and light, and daily cleaning and towel changes made our stay comfortable. The bedding was excellent, and I slept very well. The indoor pool was spacious and not crowded, allowing us to enjoy it leisurely. The water didn't have a strong chemical smell, but it was slightly salty, which was a bit surprising at first but easy to get used to.

I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. For USD 60 a night i think its a good choice considering the location.

This was my first time in Hanoi, and I was so grateful to the Japanese restaurant staff at this hotel. One of the women there translated for me in Japanese and kindly shared a lot of helpful information about Hanoi, which made my trip very enjoyable. I'm truly thankful. The food at the Japanese restaurant is absolutely delicious, and they also have an à la carte menu, so I highly recommend it. The room's concept was inspired by an Opera House actress, featuring a wonderful and artistic Art Deco interior design with meticulous attention to detail. I definitely want to visit and stay at this hotel again. The hospitality and service truly impressed me, living up to its 5-star rating. Thank you very much.

Mr Jack, Ms Tiffany and Mr Kian did a wonderful job that we have high expectations of the people here, thank you for the amazing stay! The welcome drink is so nice. Love the ginger sweets! Room is ok, however there’s no lift directly at our room at level 7. But they helped out with our heavy luggages. Breakfast wasnt halal but we had boiled eggs, fruits and corn. Upon check out, we had an early check out at 645am. They even packed us our bfast! I cannot stop saying how nice the staffs are because eventhough its been 3 days since I left the hotel, I still think about them and their amazing service to us. We feel important and honoured. Initially as we checked in to Diamond Westlake suites our first impression was that it was more a 3 star than a 4 star. The apartment and provisions are very basic. The apartment is a bit old and feels a bit tired. However, the space is good, and the pool very nice. The breakfast was fine with enough variety for different tastes. We also ate in the restaurant on our first night. It was a bit quiet so we were a little nervous but the food was absolutely delicious. A great introduction to vietnamese food. There is also a small shop immediately below the lobby area which is very convenient. We didn't have much interaction from staff, so hard to judge the service but I guess we didn't notice a particularly welcoming effort. Despite this we enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to travel to Hanoi, about 15minutes in the taxi, also a short walk away there are shops and restaurants. Overall everything is fine, a convenient place to stay for families and if you want to stay in a quieter area away from Hanoi. No major problems, but not really a 4 star quality feel. More attention to detail in cleanliness and service would make a huge difference.

Great location and spacious rooms for the price but do not recommend if traveling with young kids. We stayed in the executive family suite for one night on our last night in Hanoi. A lot of road noise, room doors in the suite are all glass so there was no way to block out light between the rooms. Elevators wait was long. There’s also a flight of stairs between the street entrance and hotel lobby.

Appreciation for Excellent Service at Intercontinental Hanoi Landmark72 I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional service my family and I received during our six-day stay at the Intercontinental Hanoi Landmark72. My daughter was participating in a math competition, and we found the environment at the Lounge on the 71st floor to be peaceful and comfortable for her to study during the first two days. For the remaining four days, we spent a lot of time at the Lounge and the 3spoons Restaurant on the 62nd floor, as my daughter preferred the hotel's food. I was amazed by the attentiveness and politeness of the staff, who took the time to introduce us to the restaurant's ambiance and cuisine. One particular incident stood out to me when my daughter's favorite sushi was out of stock. The restaurant staff promptly prepared it for us and delivered it to our table, showing their dedication to serving every guest with care. Overall, I liked the hotel, and the staff tried their best to make my stay comfortable. However, a few things spoiled the experience: 1) One of the two elevators was periodically shut down, and the other one wasn't properly maintained. We had to wait on our floor for a very long time on several occasions. Once, after a full day out in the heat, both elevators were out of service, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for them to be turned back on. 2) Bathroom: The towels were torn, and the toilet seat had some repair marks that looked like stains, which was quite unappealing. The bathtub was incredibly inconvenient; getting in and out required climbing over a rather wide edge with a sharp rim. 3) Breakfast: Nothing special, just a standard selection of items that weren't replenished very quickly (we had read reviews praising the breakfast as 'wow'). Aside from these points, it's a good hotel.

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the doorman are all incredibly friendly. The pool is a bit cold for this weather. The breakfast restaurant is a little small, but the breakfast quality is quite good. You can borrow bicycles for free, and there are a few roads nearby with less traffic that are suitable for cycling. There are quite a few unfinished buildings around West Lake. It was a bit difficult to get a taxi on the morning of Chinese New Year's Day, probably because everyone was visiting relatives ^_^ A small suggestion: it would be great if there were some instructions for the kitchen appliances. There is a rooftop bar next to the pool (like most other hotels in hanoi).

It was my first time in Vietnam, and I was a little nervous, but a Japanese staff member kindly guided me, which made my stay very reassuring! Right upon arrival, I was overcharged by a taxi from the airport and struggled with cash payments, but they helped me out and even gave recommendations for local spots. I also spent time at the bar on the hotel's first floor, and it was lovely, so I highly recommend it if you stay here! The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast was delicious (I later stayed in Da Nang and truly appreciated the quality of the breakfast here even more...). It was a wonderful experience! I would love to stay here again whenever I visit Vietnam.

I stayed for one night during a layover. The hotel's location was very convenient, within walking distance to the old town and close to markets, making sightseeing easy even for a short stay. However, the area felt a bit unsafe at night, so I'd advise caution if you plan to go out after dark. It was also convenient that I could use Japanese plugs directly. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind. When I mentioned I had an early flight the next day, they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for me free of charge. Although it was a short stay, the staff's warm hospitality was very much appreciated and made my visit pleasant!

The Grab ride from the airport to the hotel cost less than 60,000 VND and took about five or six minutes. The hotel restaurant serves dinner, and the beef pho was delicious. The next day, the hotel offered a free shuttle to the airport after breakfast. The service was excellent. The front desk staff spoke both English and Chinese, so communication was smooth. The facilities were good, the room was clean and tidy, and there was a safe. The hotel is located in a village near the airport, and there's nowhere to explore nearby. For a transit stay, it offers great value for money.

I really enjoyed my stay at Heritage Ham Long. The hotel looked exactly as advertised. A small charming boutique hotel, with very nice service. The location is about 25 mins of walking to the Old Quarter area. On rainy days, instead of walking, we could easily book Grab car or Green taxi. The surrounding is safe and convenient, with lots of vegan restaurants nearby (which is a plus point for me), and there is a nearby bus stop. From the beginning, I felt very welcomed by everyone at the front office including Mr. Huy, Mr. Kyan Nam (concierge), Ms. Olivia, Ms. Chi, Mr. Quan Thuy, Mr. Son (concierge), Ms. Lisa (reservation) and basically every staff took care of us very well throughout our stay (including those who are on the night shift, very kind and attentive). Lobby is clean and smelled of fresh flower. The room itself was nice, clean and spacious enough for me and a friend. The only teeny tiny thing mentioned by my friend is that the minibar was not cold compared to the other room (we realized after we checked in the second time), and I’m not sure if the in-room sandals were new or even cleaned after the previous guests; they were not the regular one-time use slippers. Breakfast was nice, just limited vegan options, but still nice. I also truly appreciate the free 30’ sauna and shower at the Spa that was available even after we checked out and that we could store our luggages and use the storage room to pack as long as we needed. Nobody ever rushed us and gave us all the time we needed. Thank you being a nice home in Hanoi.

The hotel room was so comfy that we forgot to takes photos of the room. It has a balcony as well as a inner garden.. the staff and hoteliers are friendly and helpful. They helped with the luggages as well as the doors making you feel welcomed .. Although there were quite a queue during our check in day, the staffs manage to check us in quickly and helped with the luggages to our room.. Hooray to the male staff with specs on 19 Aug that helped with our luggages when we arrived.. We celebrated our birthday in the hotel and they provided a delicious mango cake upon request.. We are happy with the stay and would definitely recommend others to stay in Rey Hotel Hanoi if they ever visiting Hanoi..

The staff here are examplary. I was allowed an early check in and the receptionist gave me a warm greeting. Foyer is in a cool artdeco style . Breakfast was ok with quite a selection of food and drinks . WiFi and A/c (very quiet) worked well. Big TV but only news channels. My room unfortunately was very compact and felt claustrophobic.with no windows and a king size bed that took over the room. Design / layout meant the tea, coffee mini bar could only be accessed by literally squeezing along the bottom of the bed (about 6inches width) and edging sideways. Toilet ,sink shower area were small but door opened into the shower room which meant squeezing around it to get to the toilet ! . I couldn't understand why it was fitted to open that way. No rack or hooks for towels , so I parked them on the top of the toilet until I need them . Shower was..nice and hot . Outlets for charging phone etc didn't have a bedside table . I managed by propping my backpack under the socket. Another feature that could easily be improved. Access to the hotel is down an alleyway. Grab drops you on the main street opposite the alley jfyi. Location is in the French quarter and close to Hoam Kiem lake, so there were some decent restaurants etc Don't think I'd return . Just felt too claustrophobic in that room , but i was travelling solo , so I don't know about bigger , family rooms.
