The room is super beautiful and the view is charming! After entering the room, I immediately decided to change the itinerary and stay one more night! The service is very good! I'm still walking around at the door, the charming lady at the front desk will come out and I will take it in. There is a public parking lot at the door, and you can also use the hotel's valet parking for 30 euros a night! The breakfast is also good! The shortcomings must be said, that is, slightly tired, the room is on two floors Is the second floor of the room slightly tired!

Hotel staffs are very nice. Service is excellent, and every day serves bottle water in room. Restaurant is high quality with low price.

Very good, it is an old five-star hotel. It is better if you choose a room facing the sea view. The hotel is very close to the ancient city. It is a five-minute walk and there is a parking lot at the door. It is very convenient.

Excellent location, right at the entrance to the old city, the hotel itself is a historic old building, the room is right on the port, the scenery is good

If you are looking for some peace and quiet near to Syracuse then you can't get much more peaceful than Caiammari Boutique and Spa Hotel. With its immaculate gardens, two huge swimming pools, good sized rooms and absolutely lovely and anazing staff, it really is somewhere to unwind and relax. The breakfast is very good and includes homemade cakes made by the owners fair hands - it's work it just for the cake! The restaurant offers a limited number of anti pasta, first course and mains. All were a very good standard and traditional with a modern twist. As the menu doesn't change, if you are staying longer than say 3 days it is advisable to start to look outside the hotel for dinner options. The restaurant is closed one day per week, so again it will be necessary to leave to hotel (although the owner volunteered to come in an cook pizza for those guests that had no car). This leads me to my next recommendation - transport. The property is close to Syracusa and Ortiga but is a car/taxi journey away. This includes some of the nearby restaurants. A taxi ordered via the hotel is €25 one way, a taxi return from the rank was €35. All taxis come from Syracusa so its roughly the same cost regardless of destination. For the odd night, it's OK, but to do this for several nights becomes a little costly, hence why a car is thoroughly recommended. Regarding the state of roads and fly tipping, which you may have read in other reviews, this sadly is endemic across Sicily in non-tourist areas - even the road to the British War Cemetery is littered with rubbish. This is way beyond the control of the hotel and they should not be held responsible for something out of their control. It certainly does not detract from the property itself. Finally bring some mosquito repellent - the little rascals are across Sicily - inland, Mount Etna, the seaside - they love the taste of tourists.

Our experience from booking by phone, arrival and staying was just great. The staff were so helpful, attentive & very knowledgeable. From dealing with this awkward English family with room allocations to ensuring at 10pm arrival a great meal was provided for 5. A big thanks to the waiter who was able to produce a soft drink combination we had tried in Siracusa. It was exceptional. The attention to detail including remembering breakfast preferences was incredible. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay great.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We booked a ”villa” with a pool at this resort in May 2023 so that we could stay in one place with our son, daughter-in-law and toddler grandson. The pool had no shallow end, and was freezing cold. The villa had no ”kitchen” or ”family/dining room” area, except for a tiny table near the coffee maker at the back patio door. The weather vacillated between warm and cold temperatures, sometimes rain, and the resort has no amenities for families except for the beach. The beach and sea were nice, when the weather was good. There is no bar, no game room, no casual dining area open all day. The front lobby is a big, pretentious marble-floored atrium. There is no life in it, except for one person at the front desk. The resort was understaffed. The dining room was cold and unfriendly, with no variety in the morning buffet food. We never ate dinner there because it did not open until 7:30 p.m., past our normal eating time, especially with our toddler. The only other option for eating during ”off” hours was to have food delivered to the villa, which we had to do for several lunches and dinners. Eating restaurant plates of fancy food on your lap or tiny table squeezed into a tiny corner of the villa got old very quickly! The resort is not close to any other restaurants that are open all day or on the earlier side of the evening. The drive into Ortigia is about 20-30 minutes, including finding parking -- we did that a couple of times. We stayed at Minareto for 5 nights, and honestly, could not wait to leave. It was unbelievably expensive for the very poor set-up. It was not a good experience and I would not recommend for families. On top of that, the resort required us to pay a 50% deposit in advance through a bank transfer (which involved a trip to the bank, payment of a fee and a lot of hassle with my bank to get it right) -- it did not accept a credit card for the advance. We were allowed to pay the remaining balance by credit card when we checked out.

We have just returned from staying one week in the Minareto hotel & have nothing but great things to say about our stay! My husband & I stayed with our one year old son & had the best experience. Everyone who works in the hotel works so hard & are all so friendly! Nothing was too much to ask & the hotel is just stunning. The location is beautiful with the most beautiful little beach. Great food & we loved the what’s app system. We had our room upgraded on arrival, what a treat! We had a lovely little jacuzzi & little deck with sun beds. We loved the boat service too, such a different touch. Ortigia was such a great place to visit & explore. I suppose the only down side was the boat was cancelled one evening & it was more expensive getting a car back to hotel but really not a big deal considering we had such a fantastic week. Definitely will be back Minareto, thank you for the loveliest week & first experience of Sicily.

Selfishly - Part of me doesnt want to write this review because id prefer for the Hotel not to become too popular! But i promised to sing its praises - so i shall… It’s a real gem of a place - exactly as the description says, full of antiques and art and dripping in an effortlessly elegant, palatial, charm. Our early arrival didnt phase the reception staff, on the contrary, Francesca warmly assured us our room would be ready an hour before check-in time. Complimentary drinks offered by the drlightful Erminia and served on the grape vine festooned terrace helped ease our frazzled spirits and sink us into the calm, quiet elegance that is Henrys House. We had a city facing room which was modestly sized but with everything we needed to be comfortable. Towels plus beachtowels and parasols were an unexpected perk. Bathroom was gorgeous and clean. The fact there are several sea facing sheltered terraces to sit on meant we felt able to meander, spread out, and chill with the most fabulous sea views at every turn. Its a perfect ‘watching the sunset’ spot - best on the island i think. Breakfasts were quite simply fantastic. And im gluten free celiac so frequently have to put up with inferior options, but not here. The buffet choice was extensive, suitable for carnivores and veggies and celiacs. The artwork and interior styling added to its sense of ‘old glamour - tastefully re-envisioned’ and the ambience throughout was relaxed, peaceful and totally welcoming. Francescas skilled assistance and care when we had flight issues was amazing. She went above and beyond to help sort out the issues, allowing us to continue enjoying our final day there. Sadly three nights wasnt enough, so i shall just have to return 🤗🙏❤️

What an amazing hotel -- the service , the welcome , the views , the terraces . We were made to feel absolutely at home and don't want to leave We arrived very early from Malta and Francesca gave us such a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and she organised breakfast for us , even although they were clearly already busy in the kitchen An absolute delight of a building with a vine clad terrace perched above the sea - calm and with such a wonderful atmosphere . Our room was a quadruple with a sea view - spacious and very comfortable beds with the most beautiful view over the terrace to the sea. There is such a friendly atmopshere at Henry's where you really feel at home The staff in the restaurant accommodated all of our preferences ,, gluten free , lots and lots of coffee etc. This was truly 6 star treatment in 4 star hotel . I also required a very late check out and was made very welcome to relax on the terrace or in the lounge . Never have I experienced such amazing service . Thank you Francesca and all the staff at Hotel Henry's .

The hotel was small but stylish. Modern and very clean with twice a day fresh towels. I was very disappointed with the room that was given to us. It had windows that were frosted but we could not see outside. There was no mirror in bedroom but there was an iron and ironing board ( that was a plus). Bathroom was big but shower was slippery. The staff both at reception and at breakfast were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was disappointing, too many wishy washy things and hot breakfast was extra. We asked for beach towels and we had to rent those. For the price of this hotel you would expect some things to be given to you as a matter of course. Jacuzzi was never used on the roof top garden and never saw any staff up there to offer any service. Parking was available for free but once you moved it was pot luck to find one again.

This Caportigia Boutique is not bad. It is also the most expensive hotel booked on this route. It has a sense of design, good quality of objects, and good service. The black doorman was very hardworking, and the breakfast was rich, not very cost-effective. High, but also worth the price. Probably because the hotel is a remodeled old building, the storey height is very high, plus the top decoration, it feels like a palace...hehe, overall it feels good. In addition, the location of the hotel is very good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the old city after stopping the car, and it takes only a few minutes to drive to the Ruins Park.

Great location, great service, lovely room (204), very good food. Breakfast was very good for our needs and it was great to sit outside. The location is ideal for a few days in Syracusa. We did the hop on hop off tour, a boat tour and saw the sights. Plenty of great restaurants close by, some look classier than others but all had very good food and service, including the hotel restaurant. Don Antonio, Cod da Saretta and La Bracioletteria were all worth visiting. — would visit them all again. The room was a good size an and the bathroom a little small as is often the case in Italy. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was perfect. Noise in the streets starts at 6 am — a small price to pay for the location and was not a real problem for us. Parking is difficult but there is a well organized private car park close by for €20 per day — book before you travel but if you can with todays prices it might be easier and cheaper with shuttles and taxis.

Had a single room which was spacious and very clean with lovely walk in shower, excellent water pressure. I had a balcony overlooking Via Roma, a bit noisy but I had ear plugs so no problem. Air con which I had a problem with, but this was quickly fixed. Safe didn’t work, this was at the bottom of a cupboard so would have been difficult to use, so didn’t chase up having this sorted. Good breakfast, nice seating outside. Choice of hot drinks at breakfast, this wasn’t made clear to us. Staff very friendly & helpful, in particular Chiara. Hotel in very good location in Ortigia, 2 minutes from the duomo. Nice place to sit & people watch. Definitely recommend Hotel Roma

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about what the experience would be like. However, from the arrival, the staff were friendly and professional as well as being efficient. The rooms we had (three couples) were in the modern part of the hotel, overlooking the golf course with the pool to the front. They were all clean and well appointed with most things you'd need for a few days break. The service for the one dinner we had was great (especially the restaurant manager (Marco?) in a busy and pretty dining room, the food was good, not great but good and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were good with a good variety but I would agree with some of the other comments that freshly pressed orange juice would have been good to have. Lunch near the club house was nice but as many people finished playing gold at a similar time it could get busy and the service was sometimes a bit hit and miss but as the staff were friendly we found it more amusing that irritating. There was one waitress who looked very stressed and needed to smile a bit more! The pool which we though would be closed was actually open and we were able to swim along with quite a few others, it was missing a lifeguard which we were told about but that was not a problem (a bit chilly in October). The pool and surrounding area was lovely and well set out. Pool bar was shut as it was out of season. I has a massage which was excellent and reasonable priced however, the actual spa needs a bit of an update and was quite damp in places. Unfortunately the Turkish bath did not have heating (broken) but looked lovely. Overall, beautiful building and grounds (don't play golf so can't comment on the course but those that did thought it was ok), in a peaceful and tranquil position-bit expensive if you want to go to Syracuse (recommended) but then we knew it was roughly 20 minutes away (taxi for 6 was 60 euros). Staff were great and I'm glad we spent a long weekend there.

4 star hotel in great location 500 meters south to Ortigia Island 2km to the north to reach the archaeological site park Rich variety of breakfast There is free parking on the side of the road at the entrance. There is an enthusiastic uncle in the shop opposite to tell me how to park better The roadside room is noisy due to the sweeping work in the early morning, but the balcony is great. We are not inclined to reviews but this was compulsory. We celebrated and celebrated our wedding at the Grand Hotel Villa Polit. The day was inconceivable beyond any desire, the banquet a success. We thank the chef, the kitchen and room staff, the master, the property and the management, but more than for the wonderful event for the kindness and patience of helping us organize it. The customer care and attention are the element that makes the difference for us and Dr. Cannizzaro and Mr. Russian accompanied us step by step with commitment and dedication.Clean and elegant rooms and staff in reception ready to accept the most varied requests. Say that we would advise it is reducing, say little: 6 stars!

This is the hotel where we stayed. The building outside appears to be an old historic building, but inside staffs are very cooperative. Our check-in was very smooth. The staff tried helping us. Continental breakfast was nice. There was no English channel on the TV, so that forced us to learn some local Italian languages such as Grazie, Prego, etc. The hotel is within walking distance from the train and bus station. If I visit Siracusa again, then I will stay there.

We were able to obtain a simple but comfortably furnished room with a most adequately furnished kitchenette, small dining set, and comfortable side chairs at this easy hotel for a very reasonable price. We had a slice of a pretty view of the sea from our window balcony. We also had easy access to a rooftop terrace which was never crowded and enjoyed our cocktail hours there. We stayed at the hotel nearly a week and couldn't have asked for better staff, who were knowledgeable and courteously helpful. At the continental buffet breakfast, the staff were happy to bring you a cappuccino or expresso. The hotel is centrally located in Ortigia and we walked all over the island. There's a handy hop on hop off bus to go to mainland Siracusa with a stop near the hotel. We loved wandering the neighborhood alley-like streets immersing ourselves in the Sicilian lifestyle.

We stayed at Unahotels One in Siracusa from May 22 to 24, 2022. We had a Smartbox voucher which we redeemed. A standard double room including breakfast. The check in and out is smooth and was very good organized. The hotel is located outside the beautiful historic part of Siracusa. About 7-10 min by car. Cab costs about 15 euros. Not recommended on foot. My first impression was good. However, the One does not meet the standards of a 4star plus hotel by far. For my taste rather a 3 star plus to max. a 4 star hotel. Positive are the very friendly, helpful and upbeat hotel staff. They can always give you a tip. The double room is rather small. It has everything you need. The bathroom is a bit small. When showering, the whole bathroom gets wet because the partition only covers half of it and there is no door. Unfortunately, I must mention here that the cleaning is insufficient. Likewise, the toilet paper made from recycled paper is not really usable. The breakfast is ok. Unfortunately, we were not told that we had to order everything (cheese, ham or salami, etc.) On the 2nd morning we could make up for this. Scrambled eggs, omelet or tomato mozzarella salad is no problem. Coffee is very good. Freshly squeezed orange juice available. The One has a great roof terrace, is set up lounge-like. Unfortunately, the bar is not served and there is no music playing. So there is no atmosphere and the terrace is not really used. We can only conditionally recommend the Unahotels One Siracusa.

Very good location at the same price, very close to the business district and the church square. The rooms are very spacious, very different from those cramped hotel rooms. It is more suitable for the whole family to travel together. The breakfast is very rich, and it is not compliant with a five-star hotel. If the check out is too early, the hotel will prepare a take away breakfast in advance. The only thing to note is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. If you arrive too late, it is best to greet the hotel in advance.
