The hotel is easy to find. You can take the tram from the airport to the terminal and then walk for a while. The front desk also received us warmly and friendly. Although the elevator is very small, I don't think it will affect it. In fact, it is a different experience. After all, the age of the hotel is there. The view from the balcony is really amazing! Angel Bay is really beautiful! Especially if you book a French breakfast in advance and enjoy it on the balcony, it is really pleasant! Although the facilities in the room are a bit old, the sanitary environment is still very good, so the overall experience is really good!

The location of this hotel overlooking the Mediterranean and Promenade des Anglais is excellent, offering spectacular views, but it is about a 20 minute walk to the historic centre. Breakfast is a little disappointing for a hotel of this class, but a continental room service breakfast was offered at no additional charge. The rooms are small, but clean and well equipped and the staff is friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, pleasant for a night or two.

The hotel is in a good location, right by the sea, with a sense of art and design. There are many restaurants nearby, and many bread desserts in the back street are delicious. Valet parking is available. Value for money is better than Swiss Hotel Nice.
- LEI
The service is very good, it is in place, parking is 28 euros, one or two waiters come over to help with luggage and open the door and parking. I live in many European hotels all the way. Inner enthusiasm, not domestic superficial do

Very good location, right at the foot of Castle Hill. It is also very convenient to go to the old town, it takes only 2 or 3 minutes to walk. Approximately 30 minutes from the airport taxi, 36 euros. The hotel is very compact, the corridor is relatively narrow, but the room size is ok, I booked a twin room, and took the initiative to help me put the two beds together when checking-in, and also added a small free for my child bed. Couple with sofa and desk, not particularly cramped. The bathroom is large and clean. Just the towel drying rack is broken. The room was fairly clean, but there was no free bottled water, and the charged mini-bar had snacks and wine. Did not see the electric kettle. Breakfast is relatively simple, there is no extra charge for children, bread, sausage, bacon, yogurt, tea and coffee, fruits, that's about it. Overall, the price / performance ratio is not bad, but I still feel that there is a gap with the standard of four stars.
- 孙
The hotel room is very large. If you have enough space for an extra bed, it is very suitable for a hotel with children. Parking charges are provided by the hotel staff to help with parking and pick up the car. The location is superb, just by the sea, but if you want to book this hotel, it is recommended to book a room with a sea view. We can't see the sea view in this superior room. It is relatively cumbersome to carry luggage at the hotel and you need to change to a different elevator. Figure 1 is the Angel Bay Beach seen in the hotel location, Figure 2 and Figure 3 are the hotel's cuisine.

I cannot recommend this hotel especially at the prices they charged. Arrived at 5.30pm and room wasn't ready. They then said it was and gave us a smaller room than we had booked and paid for. When we said so they told us ”Americans have a different idea of what king-sized means”. An hour later they called and agreed we had indeed booked a bigger room and offered to move us to one with a king bed. The man from reception then took us to said room without offering to help us with our luggage. Just stood and watched us drag our bags across the carpeted corridors ...All I can say is it was 3 star service and quality at VERY high prices. The next morning we moved to an absolutely world class hotel which was ten times nicer and less expensive. Over-priced, outdated and obnoxious staff.

Great Staff and very pleasant stay - will go again to this one anytime we are back in the region. The views are stunning of the blue ocean - the location is perfect on the promenade and the hotel even has electric scooters for rent - we had a blast

Stylish contemporary lobby, restaurants and rooms. Good location with old town area five minute walk through park and plazas- a dozen glorious churches, great French linen and fabric store L’Epingle a Linge here. Many chic clothing stores nearby- not just Gucci etc, but small, local with exciting window displays. Pretty parks and gardens nearby. Hotel rooms have very large decks with comfortable teak furniture and great views even from rooms on side. Pick up fabulous bread, sandwiches, pastries and desserts from Armand patisserie that is two blocks away for lunch on your deck. This is a good alternative to 20 Euro/person poor lunches in area. Almost all restaurants in the area are touristy so have poor food and are expensive, but there are half a dozen Michelin restaurants within a ten minute walk that are affordable unlike Paris at 200 Euros. (Peixes, Chez Davia, Le Canailes, Fine Gueule...) This is a busy hotel that many tour companies use so there were busses constantly unloading people for the four days we were there. The front desk staff are always busy checking in guests and at check in made no eye contact and just said ”passports”, passed a paper to us to sign then said the room number. When we asked for advice twice (should we take a taxi or bus to the train station and would Monaco or Cannes be better for a day trip) the staff were dismissive and not interested in providing advice. People we talked to sitting around the bar at the end of the day said they could not get recommendations for restaurants from front desk staff. On busy oceanfront promenade with many cars but rooms are soundproofed well.

Stayed more than once on our Riviera trip as Nice was the base. Had a smaller room on our return trip, which was disappointing since it was a repeat stay & some plugs in the second room didn’t work and was hard to get housekeeping. Staff did not seem to know that we were returning guests (even as the same staff checked us out and in within 2 days). Shower has slippery floor so elderly should be careful. Bathroom has no towel rail, only a hook, so towels do not dry. 1 large bed is actually made up of 2 single/super single mattresses pushed together. Nice toiletries provided (though shower plug was faulty for hair dryer on return stay). Excellent location along Promenade des Anglais as it is close to Ruhl Plage and closest to the Old Town. Next point is a tip for guests. Even when we hailed taxi from outside the hotel, you may get a less than honest taxi with a meter (e.g. cab driver’s hand was covering the meter the whole trip and he asked to click the meter a few times during the trip). Discovered Uber after, and similar rides are so much cheaper with Uber. We were offered to upgrade our room on our return for EUR100/night to have a sea facing room, which we declined as the service was more important than view. Was also not attractive after returning from Monaco where our hotel gave a complimentary double upgrade to a junior suite for our honeymoon.

This is the best hotel apartment I have ever stayed in Europe! First of all, this type of hotel is very novel. It has both the convenient services of a hotel and the warm feeling of living at home. You can also cook and eat yourself, which is very suitable for family travel. The location is particularly good, it is convenient to go anywhere in the city center, the bedroom of the room faces the hotel’s own small garden, so it is very quiet. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and attentive. You can contact them at any time if you have anything. They also provide tips on how to play and recommended restaurants. The hotel is newly opened, very clean, and the room facilities are very high-end brands. Highly recommend friends who come to Nice to live here!
- Guest User
In the newly renovated apartment hotel, you can cook your own rice, which is very convenient. If you have a bad stomach in the middle, you can buy porridge and drink it at a nearby supermarket, and you can quickly restore your state, great! The hotel is self-service entrance, there is a password, it is very safe, the location is also very good, it is 10 minutes to go to the beach and nearby, and it is very convenient to eat! The French boss is very enthusiastic, and the Chinese little sister who serves us as a housekeeper is superb! Next time I have the opportunity to go to Nice, I will definitely stay here again!

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel compelled to this time. I knew Hotel Petit Palais would be a good stay when Kevin at the front desk kept in touch with me via Booking.com messaging about my room, dinner reservations etc. before we left New York. When we arrived at the hotel, he and Philip, the manager, rushed outside to welcome us like old friends. They took care of so many details we hadn’t even thought of to make our trip effortless and frankly, made us feel like valued guests. Lots of thanks to them. They are impressive. Aside from that the rooms are newly renovated and very nicely appointed. We had two rooms during our three night stay and one was quite a good size and the other on the small side but still comfortable. The bigger room at a very modern bathroom. The smaller one had a more traditional bathroom but it was fine. The hotel is quiet. The pool is tiny but very pretty and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious—a great assortment of fresh croissants, eggs, fruits, meats, yogurts etc. A percent way to start the day sitting in the pretty garden. The lady who runs the breakfast was also very charming and professional. The hotel is up a big hill and while that may be a dealbreaker for some, it also allows you to see a beautiful, wealthy neighborhood you would likely otherwise miss. It’s also a great respite from the chao of Nice’s old town along the ocean and the throngs of tourists and the views are beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. So grateful to the management. I’ve traveled quite a bit and I think this hotel is a rare find.

Second attempt to stay here as had to postpone due to Covid,. Was well worth the wait. We had a Deluxe sea view room. Furnished to a high standard with great amenities and and an amazing view out over the city. Staff were all very friendly and we were lucky to be able to check in early. Philip was great at recommending things to do and where to eat on our last evening. Definitely recommend Le Bistrot du Port if you like seafood. Lovely small relaxing area and pool to cool off after a day out in the heat. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, served on the terrace which was so tranquil! If I was to fault anything, it would be the bath/shower. Very awkward to wash hair etc without getting the bathroom floor soaking wet (was a pity they weren’t upgraded at same time as room), however that was minor and wouldn’t deter us from staying again.

Loved the view from the room and rooftop! Me and my bf stayed for 3 nights last week. Was amazing! All the staff were very kind and helpful. After rebooking from a hotel without a proper swimming pool we arrived to this hotel. Nice pool area with great view from the 8th floor. The crew at the hotel was excellent and did their efforts to serve all our needs. A nice welcome gift also after checking in (a junior suite for four persons).

We arrived via taxi after a flight down from Paris. The hotel was fully booked between Cannes film festival and People going to see the Monica Grand Prix. Our room was not ready, but we were told we could go to the rooftop for lunch. We did that and proceeded to be ignored by the rooftop staff. We finally corralled someone who said they stopped serving food at 2:30, so we left the hotel to find something else. Later when our room was ready we told the front desk about it and it was news to them. Then when we decided to go back for dinner on the roof, we were told that dinner did not start until 7:00, so they called up and made us reservations. When we arrived at 7:00 the place was packed and the only tables had no view. We asked and were told that people come for drinks starting at 6:00 and just keep their tables when dinner starts. Not ideal. These are very tiny, tight rooms. Typical Europe size. They were quiet rooms. Our air conditioning didn’t work in the room. They offered a fan which helped, but as it got hotter we asked a second time to change rooms and they complied. They did reduce our room rate and comped a meal for us. The staff was very nice and apologetic for the AC issues.

I have to comment on this hotel. Turn left when you go to the blue beach. The location is okay. Is the hotel at home like home? ? ? Although 1300 a night, usually should be hundreds of dollars, other services are still OK, the lobby looks good, the only problem is that the hotel repeatedly deducts the room fee, I booked 2 nights, both are prepaid, the first day without I am allowed to swipe 190 euros unauthorized, and 130 euros the next day. I have already paid a deposit of 50 euros when I checked in. After brushing, the hotel insisted that it was a deposit. Under the communication of Ctrip, the unauthorized brushing was revoked when leaving the hotel Of 370 euros. . . In the future, it is better not to use a credit card and change cash when staying in the hotel to pay the deposit. This is safer. I haven't figured it out. Why should the hotel repeatedly swipe my credit card without permission? ? ? ?

The rooftop with view and swimming pool is absolutely sublime, it is very pleasant, the staff is very careful and small care, only negative point, the spa is slightly disappointing, The facilities are old, not very well decorated and lighted, it doesn't value the spa, it lacks a jacuzzi but the spa staff is super top, and they make the best massage. The best 5 stars in Nice are in a price-quality-level! And the fact that not being at the sea front, but we are still not far from 10 minutes walk and the ballade is very nice, is really offset by the rooftop that is the best point of the hotel.

We spent two nights in this hotel in a junior suite with a sea view. Our room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the Promenade des Anglais that was just big enough for a bistro table and two chairs. The hotel had an old world charm about it that was particularly enjoyable but the rooms, the amenities, etc. were all modern and comfortable. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The breakfasts we had were very good as was the dinner in Le Duc Restaurant that we had on our first evening. We were a bit jet lagged and hungry and ordered their three course meal. The caesar salads we had for the first course were huge (a meal in themselves!) and had nicely done chicken on top. But the desserts we had were totally fantastic: a strawberry charlotte and an amazing fresh pineapple and lemon sorbet. Each evening before dinner we enjoyed a cocktail and an appetizer in The W Bar's glassed in area outside. The Westminster's location is excellent -- just across the street from the Promenade des Anglais and a short walk to the old town and to Castle Hill. There's no question that if in Nice again we would very happily stay here.

The location of the hotel is very good. Turn left and then turn left to Gabor Square. There is a large supermarket next to the square and many restaurants in the surrounding area. It is not far from the Old Town of Nice. Breakfast is typical ibis style and ok. However, no extra bed is available in the room. The facilities are complete and the rooms are clean and tidy. Parking lot access is not very convenient, the aisle is narrow, and parking spaces are very laborious. The car I drove was relatively large and not very convenient. There is also a city tax on parking fees. The warmest thing is that there is boiling water and free snacks in the lobby. Although I didn't eat snacks, I made tea several times. Especially suitable for Chinese. 👍

We stayed here for our last day in Europe before returning to Canada. The hotel staff were wonderful. We arrived on a Sunday and were given the last room. Nice hotel, rooms are small but adequate (recommend it for couples or solo), breakfast is basic but good enough. The old town, marina and promenade are all easily accessible (couple minutes of walk), and the area around the hotel is filled with restaurants, bars etc. This might be the only downside, it was very noisy in the party ‘rush hour’ but if you are looking for night life, this hotel is right by the center of it. Overall a very positive experience.

Very comfortable! d The staff is very nice, I was upgraded to the family room, and it is really chill to bring a terrace! There is a cold and hot water machine in the front desk, which is very convenient! (Pour water into the water bottle when you go out, drink cup noodles at night 🤣) The breakfast is good French, the only hot thing is a self-service machine that cooks eggs 😂but the freshly squeezed orange juice machine is good, and there are two coffee machines (my choice: hot chocolate on the left and mocha on the right) transportation : Nice seaside/street - just 15 minutes to go without thinking 😂 Airport - Walk for 5 minutes to Jean Médecin Station and take Line 2. There is a ticket machine next to the station (€10/person for a round trip), remember to snap the card when you enter the Tram Eze village - Walk for 15 minutes to Boyer Station and take Bus82/602, get on the bus and buy a ticket with the driver and it will be ok (€4/person for one trip), remember to snap card Monaco/Menton ; Antibes/Cannes - 5 minutes walk to Nice Villa train station, you can buy tickets on the SNCF app or use the on-site SNCF machine control, which is very convenient (one journey~€5.6/person), remember to insert the physical ticket Take Saint Paul de Vence - Nice Villa train station to Cagnes sur Mer (one journey ~€3.3/person), and there is Bus655 as soon as you leave the station (one journey €2/person)

THE ROOM: spacious and had not only a good bed but room enough to walk around and open a suitcase. There was a desk area by the window and a small sitting area with a bench by the head of the bed. The room was modern and clean and smelled lovely. It was theoretically quiet as it was facing towards the back of the building but the windows have to remain shut as some guests might come and smoke and chat on the terrace (it admittedly happened only once and until someone shouted at them to go to their room). The main problem was some rather loud and repetitive structural sound, was loud enough to wake me. At first I thought that the upstair neighbours were moving a piece of furniture every 2 minutes but it made little sense. I concluded that it was one of the elevators that had some sort of issue and emitted the sound of a dying whale from early in the morning until late into the night. THE STAFF: the staff was friendly and helpful. However, be aware that you will be charged 10 euros to get into your room if you arrive at the hotel before 15:00 and your room is ready. You will be charged 5 euros to leave a suitcase in storage after 10:00 on the day of your departure. You also have to book and pay for a maid to come and change your towels and empty your bin. The hotel was pleasant and affordable but I have never had to pay for these kind of services in any hotel I have stayed at.

My wife and I stayed for one week at Hotel Byakko. It is conveniently placed for public transport and in good walking distance of the shops and Old Town. The staff are all very friendly, polite and efficient and the amenities and breakfast good. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the shower good too. If anything, the hotel undersells itself, by not mentioning some of its amenities, including free afternoon tea, a safe in the room, shower soap etc in the bathroom and so on. We would highly recommend Hotel Byakko and would certainly stay there again if we are back in NIce. Thank you to all the hotel's staff for an enjoyable stay.

Check in was easy and friendly. We waited at their beach area. Pretty dirty compared to the other ones we went to in the area but less expensive. It's cheaper to get your beach tickets at the front desk. Cash only. The room was nice. We even sent laundry out and had it back by the next afternoon. Top Notch. It can get noisy outside, there was an event in the park. Location is amazing. Easy drop off and uber pick up area. Lovely breakfast til 10:30pm. My only complaint seems silly but it was the hair dryer. Whoever sold that to you should be ashamed. I am assuming it is environmentally friendly. Location and facilities were all satisfactory. Just at the time of check-in, a white male employee said that there was an issue with the standard name I booked and offered to give me an apartment room next to the hotel without an exact explanation. There was a problem with the room, so they gave me a bigger room, so I followed up and found it to be an old and smelly room. So, I asked, and there is a room that is currently being repaired. If you want to wait, I will wait. I will wait. My wife and I both felt it was racist and wanted to make a complaint at checkout, but we had good memories of Nice and didn't want to talk anymore, so we quit. I hope that the blonde, white male employee who works in the afternoon must realize his mistake and know that the color of his skin is nothing.

Don’t stay at this hotel if you want to get some rest. There is a restaurant downstairs so people will be coming after midnight and talking loudly. You will be hearing cars throughout the night. In terms of cleanliness it was ok. The room was a bit small. Not the worst place to stay for the price. Just a bit loud.
