I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience my companions and I had during our recent stay at Four Points Puerto Prinsesa. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by a team of staff members who provided the warmest welcome one could receive after hours of travel. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us with our heavy luggage, setting the stage for an outstanding stay. The level of service continued to impress us during our time at the resort, especially during our interactions with the dining staff. The free breakfast buffet was a highlight, and when I noticed some items were missing, the response I received when requesting something off the menu was incredibly warm and accommodating. The staff assured me, saying, ”Sure thing sir, if it's in our inventory, we will try our best to make it.” Most of our requests were fulfilled by the kitchen staff without any hesitation. The pool area, in particular, left an indelible impression. The grande pool, strategically separated by a spectacular pool bar, provided a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. The bar staff at the pool were the epitome of hospitality, delivering impeccable service with a smile. The addition of three hot tubs of varying sizes & tempertures further enhanced our relaxation options, offering a perfect complement to the overall pool experience. The resort's gym exceeded our expectations for a hotel facility, boasting a diverse range of well-maintained equipment. It allowed us to maintain our fitness routines while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The spa was another highlight, offering an unparalleled level of comfort. Our couples massage appointment was a true highlight of our stay, providing one of the best massage experiences my partner and I have ever had. Following the massage, we were given the opportunity to unwind in a separate room where we enjoyed refreshing water and tea. This post-massage relaxation space added a thoughtful touch to the overall spa experience, showcasing your commitment to providing a holistic and rejuvenating stay. Moving to the beach, we were delighted to find it clear of sea****, with crystal-clear water inviting us to indulge in the natural beauty mixed with a glorious view of mountains surrounding the beach. A short hike to a secluded beach nearby added an adventurous element to our stay, offering a serene and private escape. We also had the pleasure of discovering a small outdoor beach massage run by a humble family close by, adding to the charm of the overall experience. Lunch and dinner experiences were equally delightful, and the flexibility of the kitchen staff in catering to our preferences made our dining experiences memorable. Even on a rainy day when we approached the beach, the security staff immediately offered us an umbrella to ensure our comfort. The excursions to the underground river and waterfalls were conveniently cl

This hotel is barely 2 months old and still under construction in some areas (though it was difficult to notice). It is very isolated, but there is a tiny Philippine province style town area only a 5 minute walk down the beach. The staff was fantastic. The rooms wonderful. Huge pool area. Nice beach and they provide lounge chairs and umbrellas at no charge. It was nearly a perfect experience. I only had 2 issues there. One was the Internet connection was extremely slow about 30% of the time. Very frustrating for me because of my business obligations. But it is understandable and no doubt due to the isolation scenario. The other issue was the restaurant. Consistent and horrible slow beverage service, as well as a few order/food issues illustrated that the staff was still learning and developing. If there were any American style restaurant options in the area I probably wouldn't have noticed, but this is the only choice for American fare. Anyway, everything else was perfect and I can almost guarantee everyone will love it here!

Amazing place to stay in Sebang. Everything was great from the swimming pool to our bungalow. Great staff and very friendly reception. Minus- food for lunch/dinner not really good in the restaurant, swimming pool- should be clean much often and pool bar should be opened all the time, very often there was no bartender and no music. In general- a great gate-away and really close to underground river. Would stay again!

This resort is the ideal place for a romantic get away. It's small enough to provide an incredible personalised experience however large enough to offer the facilities you'd hope to have provided. The staff went out of their to. Meet all requests promptly and the management were great. I hope I have the pleasure of returning again very soon

This is supposedly the only 5 star resort in the area which is sad as I think competition might actually inspire them to do better. The place itself is very nice and initial impressions are quite excellent. But the longer we stayed the more we noticed the lack of upkeep in the rooms. The size of the bathroom is big but there is not a single electrical outlet inside so you cannot plug in anything not even the hairdryer. The shower glass door does not close shut and with the very strong water pressure you can be assured of a very wet overflowing floor outside of the shower enclosure. We paid for 2 extra persons in the room which they informed us meant sharing the beds and breakfast inclusive but they don’t automatically provide the extra towels. Even after calling them to request for more towels they still took more than 2 days to give us our extra towels. The water in the pool is quite warm and not refreshing as the heat of the sun kept it quite warm but some of our friends actually liked it that way so it’s more of a personal preference. The drying rack in the balcony is a nice touch as we can dry our swim clothes there. There are also water dispensers in the hallway which is great for refilling the complimentary glass bottles of water provided. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates but don’t expect anything extraordinary. The Italian restaurant in the resort does not seem to be ready for the tourist influx as food came out ever so slowly and we felt bad for the foreign tourists who don’t complain as much as the locals so we did get our food faster than they did. The resort is expanding so there is construction ongoing which is a positive sign of tourist revival in PP which I’m happy about for them but I wish they would also pay closer attention to the upkeep of the existing rooms.

The food is not the best. So dont expect too much. The pizza is a must try though. It was amazing. The rest of the things I tried from the menu were some sandwiches (overcooked), pasta (soggy), filipino food (dry). I was there for four days They need to understand the travellers a bit more. I went there for my bday. Even if it said it was under renovation, I decided to go. That is already saying a lot! And the lady at the front desk did not do an eyeball scanning of the reservation and the ask. I arrived at 6:30am on my first day. I understand no hotel will check you in at that time unless you pay extra so I decided to book a city tour to do something before the check in time. The tour was going to end between 12pm and 1pm. I asked the girl at the front desk if I could check in after the tour ended, she said no. The policy said to wait until 3pm and that they were fully booked. I arrived on a Sunday. When I confronted her about the high occupancy on a Sunday being questionable and asked her again to please help, she changed her statement to there are no king size beds availabe and that I had to wait until 3pm. I knew that was not true, cause unfortunately, for her I used to work in hotels before. The lowest occupancy is always Sundays. EVERYWHERE! Fortunately for me there was another lady that did check me in after my tour was over. What a wonderful girl. Her name is KZ. She really helped me all throughout my stay. I made sure she recovered the bad experience. If you decide to go there look for her. She will make sure you are well treated.

I stayed at Carp Diem for several nights as part of a group of six adults and we really enjoyed our visit. I saw several of the different rooms / villas and they were all presented nicely and were well maintained. The private swimming pools with the villas were particularly enjoyable, and the main pool is also good. We dined at the restaurant multiple times and found the food and service very good. We sampled most items on the menu, and they were all prepared well and there was nothing we didn’t like. Generous sized portions and complimentary amuse bouche from the chef each night. Would definitely stay again!
- Guest User
Was really nice stay, the room is lovely, the pool is very nice, staff are very kind, 10mins drive from airport, very close to town also. Restaurant has nice Italian food. Downside was - having to ask for our room to be cleaned. This is the 2nd time we have stayed, the first was amazing, but the 2nd time here (only for 1 night) our AC wasn’t strong enough and made for quite an uncomfortable feeling. I would go back and stay most definitely

It is highly recommended for travelers coming to Palawan to stay at this novel hotel with very good quality staff. The room is clean and does not feel damp! The seat is near the beach, not noisy or noisy, I like it here very much! Breakfast and lunch were both delicious~ We couldn't think of any shortcomings😅 The waiter was very considerate, knowing that we were going to participate in the island hopping trip, and helped us prepare bath towels👏 It was not inferior to the Princess Garden five-star hotel we stayed at before! The only thing I have to say is... Once it is 100% covered, I will definitely not want to go home again🤣

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I must say that my stay at The Funny Lion in Puerto Princesa was just extraordinary! More than outstanding, the service was just extraordinary – the staff were all super friendly and helpful – a special thanks to Jay who exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were clean and looking brand new, and everything about them was so luxurious. The pool area was quite small, but it just added to this feeling of coziness that surrounded the entire hotel. For me, it was absolutely amazing – I honestly have no other way to put it!

Micah and Teody Very good and loving people. They make you feel that you are at home and not a stranger, and I was sick for four days, and they took care of me in everything, even breakfast. They called me and asked me if I wanted breakfast or not, and the room was always clean and the cleaning staff were all lovely people They are good and work seriously. The place is very special. I advise anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness and good people to go to this place.

EL Nido|7.33km from city center
The hotel is behind a mountain, which means the only way in and out is with their transfers in 4x4, that are absurdly expensive. There is a 3 min path through the forest to a point where a tricycle can pick you up, but you need to call them ahead. The description in booking is not accurate, there is no 6 min walking to el nido, it is more 15 min tricycle + 3 min walking. I would have loved to know this in advance, we travel with kids and would have gone for an easier option. The premium villas are up the mountain, you need to go by funicular, which sometimes is not working due to maintenance issues, then you have to get a car up to your villa, both things you should plan ahead, the funicular operator is not always there, neither the cars. Also the funicular is not working early in the morning. The breakfast is supposed to start at 6 am, which is a reasonable hour if you are planning to go to a tour, but the 3 days that we went at that time, not everything was ready. They picked us up from the airport with a pick up, the luggage was behind in the open and arrived completely covered in dust, the butler tried to clean it but it wasn’t easy. There are several things in the villa that weren’t working properly, like hair dryer, really bad smell in the toilet, dirt in the curtains… but those were small issues, the main issue we had is that in our last night our rooms were full of bugs, they were everywhere and it was impossible to sleep like that with bugs crawling over us, so we moved to a much smaller villa down the mountain and they gave us a discount due to the downgrade. The discount was nice and the staff did their best with the situation, but we lost more than 1 hour trying to kill the bugs to sleep there and also in the morning we had to review all the clothes in the luggage and remove the dead bugs after the fumigation. The pool toilets are out of order and you need to go to a first floor. In summary I don’t think the above is acceptable in a 5 starts hotel with the price they have. The tours were absurdly expensive, but I can’t tell if they were nice because we outsourced.

My stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support. The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island. The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Agutaya|34.23km from city center
It’s sort of difficult to know how to rate Amanpulo, because the experience is really all about the absolutely spectacular location, more so than the hotel itself. I’ve rated it 5 stars, but it’s more like a 6/5 on location and a 4/5 for the hotel. That’s not to say the hotel isn’t nice, it’s just not at the standard of some of the other Amans. It’s starting to show a bit of wear and tear, and the rooms in particular could stand to be modernised a bit. There seemed to be bits and pieces of renovation going on around the property (2 of the tennis courts for example were closed during my stay, with a big construction mess on them), but it would be much better if they just closed the hotel and did a proper job on what’s now a 30 year old hotel. If done well, it could easily be one of the best hotels in the world. My random gripes about the hotel in no particular order: 1. The main pool closes at 6pm, which is a huge shame not to mention ridiculously early. It’s also totally unlike the other Amans I’ve been to, which let you use the pool whenever you want. As long as you’re not making a lot of noise and disturbing other guests, I don’t see what the issue is with letting guests use the pool at any time. 2. They really should offer at least one more flight option rather than only to and from Manila, for guests that want to continue exploring the Philippines without a round trip back to their starting point. An option to fly to El Nido or Cebu for example would be a huge convenience. 3. Breakfast stops at a pretty early 10am, and their snorkelling activity takes place at 9am, meaning if you want to do it and have breakfast too you need to get up early - why? They should offer the option to snorkel in the afternoon as well, or else just do it at 11am so guests can have breakfast first. 4. Very old blinds in the rooms which were weirdly difficult to open and close - and even with all the windows closed, the metal chord on one of them repeatedly swayed back and forth against the wall, making noise unless I held it in place with a pillow. They should really have automated shades which you control with a button (I’m aware this is the literal definition of first world problems) 5. I asked twice a day whether I could take a trip to Manamoc, and was repeatedly told it wasn’t possible due to weather conditions (which was sort of bizarre as the weather was very calm). When I was told the weather was finally good enough, they said the boat was then booked so I couldn’t go, which made no sense as I had been asking non-stop since my arrival to do the trip. They did finally accommodate me - but they charged me for a picnic basket which I never had, and 3 crew members which is a huge overkill - just 1 to drive the boat is all that’s necessary. So the trip to Manamoc, which is incredible and a real must in my opinion, was extremely expensive. I’d recommend staying in one of the beach casitas - I moved from a hillside one (37), to a beach one (10) and though

This place is obviously still struggling from the effects of the Covid lockdowns. The staff is the best part of this place. The air conditioner is undersized & has a daylight gap all around it. The room refrigerator is worthless because its electric circuit shuts down when you leave the room. Who wants to come back from a trip & grab a warm drink from the ref? Breakfast buffet is pretty slim. They post signage asking you to conserve water, but they don't even include water saving faucets or shower heads. And then there were the bugs. If I had known that they are offering 'Hourly Rates' I would have avoided this place.

I was staying in Porto Princesa and had to book at the last minute. I was able to confirm it quite easily and it looked pretty good on the website. Its not the fanciest of hotels or the newest but I does have some good things going for it. 1. Its not in town, its right on the beach. 2. We got fantastic sunsets, which you cannot get in town due to large mountain. I am not a sunrise person.\ 3. Access to tour boats was easy, right outside my hotel/ 4. Some good restauants were close by, not as much in town , but ok 5. Town center was only a 10 minute, trike ride away. All in all, my experience with Red Doors was pretty good, air con worked ok, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, I had plenty of space in my room and best of all, I opened my door, ( ask for room 19) and the beach was literaly 10 feet away at Hi Tide.

All the complimentary tours were excellent and the guides were great - they really look after you. Dean was particularly good with photography and help on the small lagoon visit. Fantastic from beginning to end. A special mention must go to Mertz who went out of his way to help us not only on this island but with our other destinations too. You’re a star Mertz! Highly recommend this island.
