The hotel is on the hillside of Tunnel Mountain, a little distance from the town centre. There must be a car to travel, otherwise it is inconvenient. There is no air conditioning in the room, it is still a bit hot in summer, there should be no problem in winter, you can open a window, but you need to ponder for a while, very technical, screened, mosquitoes are estimated in the woods. When the hot pool was under maintenance, my daughter actually ran to the hotel next to it, saying there was a water playground and a slide. The most unexpected and most satisfying place is that when the scenery on the small gazebo behind the house is seen, three deer walked through the woods behind the house. It may be that the sun goes down to the nest and enjoys the wildlife in the eyes. Very lucky, it is estimated. It is also a kind of experience that is not too much.

Let’s start with the pros Restaurant food and service absolutely amazing Reception area very inviting with big roaring fire a really good first impression Now the cons Room absolutely filthy. Floor not hoovered Glass rings on dresser surface Dust clogging extractor fan in bathroom Mud up back of door and entrance Blinds do not cover windows properly, rays of light shining directly across bed head Wafer thin walls Kept awake by traffic including trains sounding horns Rude and arrogant reception staff Approached reception staff to ask for another room without any success. Was told there was nothing they could do. I suspect they are told by management to bat away any complaints, I expect they are frequent. Was promised a manager would be in touch to discuss, still waiting. There was some sort of event / function taking place and we were probably an inconvenience We’ve been in Canada for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time with fantastic hotels and cabins and experienced some of the best service ever. Banff is the final leg of our journey and to be let down by this place is a real shame. BML needs to take a long hard look at itself and remember that it is there to offer a service to its customers
