I initially booked and paid for this stay back in January but due to ill health I could no longer stay. The stay was put on credit for me and less than a week ago I got in touch asking if it was possible to use the stay this weekend just gone due to a mishap with calendar clashes. With no issues or delays, it was instantly organised for myself and my partner to stay there, and our room was even upgraded a larger room which was available at short notice. I questioned late at night when I arrived where I could park due to uncertainties with signage, and was immediately advised whilst I was still in the car! We stayed in the Lime Tree room and it was beautiful! Very modern, thoroughly clean, and there were even tea, coffee, milk, bottled water and snacks available which was a great finishing touch and a saving grace for the unorganised! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bedding is great hotel quality too. We will be regularly visiting Preston for our sport as we compete in a local Strength & Performance gym, and we absolutely will be back. It’s definitely made us rethink about driving up and down the country on the day, and put us at ease after previous bad experiences. Winkley Square Residences is the place to stay if you are ever in Preston, located in a lovely area, and an even nicer place to rest your head, run by very helpful and genuinely nice people. Hats off to you guys👍🏼

The apartments are very close to Preston city centre and a short through or past Winkley square. It literally took us a 5 minute walk to local pubs and restaurants so the location is perfect. The train and bus station are only 10/15 minutes away. We didn't take a car so unsure about parking close to the building but there are lots of places to park in Preston city centre - you won't go wrong if you travel by car. We stayed in a small apartment/flat on the ground floor. Not the biggest but certainly big enough for our needs as we wanted a decent central location in comfortable surroundings. The room was warm enough with a large radiator and an electric heater should you need a bit more warmth. The double bed was comfy enough. A nice touch by the owner(s) to leave some crisps, cereal and milk in the fridge. Unfortunately, the flat/apartment was let down by a foul sewer-like smell in the bathroom and the cleanliness of the room wasn't the best. We found someone's old contact lens on the bed and another on the floor. We also found, just popping out from under the bed a large piece of broken glass with hairs on it - God knows how long that had been there or, underneath the beds were cleaned. Depending what size you are, its worth mentioning the shower - a very small quadrant shower. Not a lot of room to manoevure. In fact, you may need to stop the shower and open the doors to wash. Overall, a fairly nice apartment but sadly let down by a few things.
