It had been two years since my last visit, and I was once again delighted to return and stay at this wonderful hotel. The privacy remains just as excellent as I remembered. All the staff, regardless of age, are incredibly warm, courteous, and attentive, remembering every little detail you request. The Okami (female manager) is still elegant and gracious, truly the gold standard for Japanese onsen hotels in my opinion. On the first night, we upgraded to the Teppanyaki course, which absolutely exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend that fellow guests planning a stay book this set menu in advance via email (an additional ¥24,000 for two people). Chef Hoshizawa was delightful, making for a particularly pleasant dining experience with great conversation throughout the meal.

My stay at Jozankei Ivylodge this time was utterly thrilling. The hotel offered top-notch service, including a dedicated 1-on-1 butler who was attentive and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. Waking up to the sound of birdsong in the morning, and opening my eyes to an expanse of lush greenery, was breathtakingly beautiful. The thoughtful little touches were a definite bonus, like the complimentary POLA samples – a wonderful unexpected surprise. Dinner was a traditional Kaiseki meal, a leisurely, drawn-out affair from dusk till dark, with every single course exquisitely prepared. Upon leaving, I had only one thought: see you again!

Everything is good, the food is very exquisite, the sense of ceremony is full, but the food is exquisite, the actual taste and ingredients are ordinary, no merit or fault. The overall experience is affirmed. Before booking, I saw in the comment area that the charge for bringing children is no more than 1,000 yuan per person. When I settled the bill, I was shocked to see the price. One child added almost 4,000 yuan per night. We brought two children and added 8,000 yuan per night, which is equivalent to one night's room rate. I especially want to know if the hotel has always charged this way? We stayed for two nights and added almost 16,000 yuan. The room type we booked on Ctrip did not include dinner. It was simply a big sucker. Just a reference for the Chinese compatriots behind, you don’t have to stay, you can stay. The hotel is OK in all aspects, the public area is pretty, the room is large but lacks design. It’s more homely! But there are few facilities, it’s not suitable for parents and children, and the price discourages parents and children. I stayed in Park Hyatt in Kyoto, Japan, a very good hotel. The children were only charged for breakfast. The cost of the children in the Azuki Seat is too exaggerated. In addition, the Shikotsu Lake next to the hotel is quite beautiful, but the transportation here is really inconvenient. The hotel has a pick-up at Chitose Airport, but it is only at 16:45 in the afternoon, so it is really difficult to connect. We took a taxi because there were few cars at night, and the taxi cost about 500 RMB. A taxi from the hotel to Sapporo JR is about 1000 RMB. Because there is too little information to refer to when booking, I posted the information I originally wanted to know for your reference.
- Guest User
The hotel facilities are great, one night and two meals, no need to leave the hotel at all. The children's food is super delicious! Other flavors are different. The body lotion and face cream used are very useful, and I took one as a souvenir when I left. The park is opposite the hotel, which is very good to visit. The overall price of 10,000+ feels worth it.

This is a hotel with a very interesting story. It is located on the hilltop of Otaru Chikko. All rooms are Japanese tatami, very large and clean. You can call the hotel to send a car to JR Otaru Chikko Station for pick-up. It is a bit troublesome to arrive at the hotel by yourself. The dinner and breakfast are very rich and are included in the room rate. For hot springs, in addition to the small hot spring pool in the room, the hotel's open-air bath faces the sea, which feels great! I will stay here again in the future.

This may be the best ryokan hotel in Hokkaido. The hotel architecture and scenery are first-class, the kaiseki cuisine is first-class, and the service is also first-class. I love it. I will bring my children here next time.

The overall experience was excellent. Slippers are required upon entering the inn, and the tatami mat flooring felt wonderfully clean and comfortable. We booked a room with a private indoor hot spring, which was incredibly convenient, allowing us to enjoy a soak whenever we pleased. The half-board plan was very practical. We stayed for two days, and each meal was different, which kept things fresh and exciting. There were complimentary snacks available near the dinner entrance, and they even offered free ramen as a late-night supper. Each day, our room was also replenished with complimentary drinks and snacks. If you're visiting Dingxishan for a hot spring getaway, I would definitely recommend this place. The only minor drawback was perhaps its location being quite close to a main road. My room and private indoor hot spring, at least, overlooked the main road, which wasn't very scenic.

This Ryokan has a charming traditional atmosphere, though communication can be challenging as some of the staff speak very limited English. Overall, the stay was fine, but the food was a major disappointment. Dinner was served as Kaiseki, yet the quality was far below expectations. The sashimi was not fresh at all, still icy and melting on the plate while we ate. Other dishes, such as the shabu-shabu hot pot and appetizers, were also mediocre and lacked refinement. Service at the restaurant was another issue: staff repeatedly got our drink orders wrong, and the language barrier made it difficult to resolve. For a property of this level, that was unacceptable

If you drive there by yourself, it would be very inconvenient to take the bus. It was around 5 pm when we arrived. It was already dark. There was no one at the front desk. Maybe there was a shortage of manpower. There was only one service staff serving us that day. We waited for 5 days. It took about a minute to see the front desk clerk. He should have gone out to get our dinner, but the service was very considerate and he even took the initiative to help us carry our luggage upstairs👍🏼. The room was large, the hot spring was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. , my daughter brought a lot of self-service snacks downstairs, we all thought it was very good, you can also watch Netflix, the hygiene is also very good, there are many sweaters and bathrobes 👍🏼

Stayed in room 201, the snow view from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window is really beautiful! There is a private hot spring in the room, and you can also go to other hot spring hotels under the same group to soak in public hot springs. One night and two meals, dinner is shabu-shabu, the quality of the meat is very good! The breakfast is Western style, a bit bland, if it is Japanese style, it would be more pleasant. Even if you don't make an appointment for the shuttle bus, it is very convenient to take the bus, but you have to check the train time in advance. Overall, it is very good~

From the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity. Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence. Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled. Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze. As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional. The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship. Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight. For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious.
- Yi Shiean
This was the hotel I was most looking forward to on my Hokkaido trip. The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle service. We booked a private onsen room, which was very spacious and even came with a massage chair. The kids had a blast playing in the room while the adults were glued to the massage chair! Soaking in the hot spring while watching the snowy scenery is definitely one of life's greatest pleasures, and the views of Lake Shikotsu are also stunning. We had so much fun playing in the snow. The roasted marshmallows in the hotel lobby every night were a big hit with the kids, and the desserts at the hotel were exquisite and delicious. Plus, there was a special main course prepared for children at dinner every day. There are also some nice little shops nearby with great food; the owner of the grilled fish restaurant even lent us a skateboard to play with!

As soon as we arrived, a waiter helped carry our luggage to the room and served us with wine. After that, we were introduced to the hotel's facilities. (Remember to make a reservation in advance to get on the tour bus in Sapporo) The journey takes about an hour The hotel has spa services and a coffee machine for all-you-can-drink. Every dish for dinner will be introduced. After the meal, there are cakes and rice balls🍙Drinks can be brought to the room Breakfast semi-buffet includes salad bar and set meals The rooms and private baths look out to the snowy scenery and have great views. The hotel will take us to the bus station when we leave. The service is very good. The service and food are first-class. I will go there again if I have the chance.
- 草莓櫻
The environment of the hotel can be described as extremely pleasant, and the service is also extremely thoughtful and considerate. The room is even more magnificent and exquisitely beautiful. The feeling of soaking in the hot spring is really extremely comfortable and pleasant. However, the chair that is directly facing the window really makes people feel extremely uncomfortable. It is really stiff, and the back of the chair is pitifully short, and it simply cannot give the due support to the head and neck.

Summary: Convenient transportation, more than expected stay experience. Trip.com 919 activities stock up discount is finally used, and Trip.com activities are supported. Intercontinental has only opened new business this year, and I am fortunate to be the first batch of guests. Transportation location: 8 minutes walk from Exit 1 of Nakajima Park. It is very convenient to go to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, Tanukikoji, and two markets. There is a family on the side of the building, and there are several convenience stores of different brands around, with a variety of choices. The Nakajima Park that has been passed is also recommended by intercontinental staff. The scenery is beautiful and it is worth visiting. Room layout: Unexpected corner view room, very atmospheric, breaking the conventional view, corner meets poetry. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass pulls the skyline into the room, watch the fog in the morning, sit at night to enjoy the stars, travel should embrace the scenery. Hotel atmosphere: I like the overall atmosphere of the hotel very much, modern style combined with Japanese modern elements, low-key quality. Pool: Panoramic pool, but also the current body feeling the best pool, the water temperature is moderate, the water is not cold at all, the water quality is clean and silky, there is a swimsuit dryer. Details: typec charging port, automatic light on step, kettle, mobile phone screen TV ... The price is worth staying!

The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a great location, a 10-minute walk from the city center. The hotel manager and staff are incredibly friendly and provide first-class Japanese service. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's well-chosen, and the main courses are cooked to order. Finally, I'd like to thank Moriyama-san for helping me with reservations and restaurant recommendations over the past two weeks.

Excellent Stay - Super Convenient Location and Services! This was our second time staying at ANA Crowne Plaza Sapporo, and it was just as great as before. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel, which makes travel super easy, and there’s also a car rental counter on the B1 floor — very convenient for road trips. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Sapporo Station and close to restaurants and convenience stores. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Sapporo JR Station. To get there, exit the South Gate, turn right (without crossing the road), and follow the sidewalk; you'll know you're close when you spot the Rokka Tei building. The service was exceptionally attentive: staff at the entrance immediately came over to assist with our luggage the moment they spotted us, and after check-in, another staff member personally escorted us with our bags to our room door. The room was quite spacious, clean, and hygienic. However, the toiletries were all mini-sized, which I found a bit inconvenient and insufficient, especially after staying in numerous other Japanese hotels. The breakfast spread was fantastic and offered excellent value for money. The hotel is also within walking distance of Tanukikoji and Odori Park. Additionally, there's an airport shuttle bus stop at the hotel's back parking lot. However, it only operates four services in the morning; for other times, you can catch a bus from across the JR Station.

Made another seperate booking without breakfast due to the reason that we will be leaving earlier and breakfast will open at 6:30 the morning . The good side is that we request someone to help us with our luggages to bring it down to the lobby for check out and they sent someone right away . I would definetly recommend this hotel even though proximity to heart of shoping is not that close to the hotel. Price wise is also reasonable for the room size.

Do not select this hotel if the price is above USD100 per night. The selling point is the location, very close to JR station and with a few restaurants nearby in 3-minute walk. There is no complimentary water provided in this room (queen size bed). I think nowadays this is quite mean.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Although it has been open for some years, it's incredibly well-maintained, and the lobby is bright and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and spotless, and all the amenities are of high quality. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Nakajima Park. In summer, the park transforms into a lush haven of varying shades of green, dotted with vibrant flowers, and features a crystal-clear lake perfect for boating. From the window, you can enjoy stunning views of the park's beauty. The historic Hoheikan building is also located within the park. Exiting the hotel lobby and turning left, you'll find Exit 3 of Nakajima-koen Station on the Namboku subway line just a few steps away. It's incredibly convenient: one stop to Susukino, two stops to Odori Park Station, and three stops to Sapporo Station. The surrounding area also offers excellent dining options, including yakiniku, soba, and tempura. We particularly recommend Fukuzumi, a noodle shop just across the street, which serves fantastic tempura and soba. I will definitely choose the Park Hotel again on my next visit to Sapporo.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel in Sapporo. The room was a decent size and came with a couple of thoughtful touches that made the stay more comfortable. One of the highlights was definitely the view—our room overlooked a beautiful park, and since it was sakura season, we were lucky enough to enjoy the cherry blossoms right from our window. It was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. The TV offered a surprisingly wide variety of channels, which was great for unwinding in the evening. Our family of 3 had a great 9-day stay in Daiwa Roynet in Susukino. Room is clean and spacious for 3 persons and 2 big opened luggages. Hardness of mattress gave a good back support after a day of walking and touring the city. Location of hotel is superb, walking distance to all attractions such as Odori Park, the famous Tanujikoji Street, Nijio market for fresh seafood and a long underground shopping mall that links from Suskino to Sapporo station. You will never starve for food as many good eateries, mini-marts and restaurants around the hotel. Subways near hotel and most importantly, the to and fro airport bus within walking distance. booked the triple deluxe room for 3 pax. love the room as its spacious, comes with a separate “living” room. The bath and toilet area are separated as well. 2 smart TVs in the room with netflix/prime/etc. location near to JR Sapporo and the Sapporo subway; a few mins walk only. Love the bath soap and shampoo, unique to this hotel and they even have them for sale at the Lobby.

A cozy room with a welcoming atmosphere, reliable air-conditioning, and ample hanging space for coats and jackets. The bed was very comfortable, free from the distraction of an unnecessary decorative bed runner. The breakfast was excellent, and the location was very convenient. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. It would be helpful to add extra signage requesting guests to refrain from loud phone conversations in the corridor, especially around midnight, as not all guests are considerate or aware of noise levels.
