This Spring Festival I chose a hotel in Chiang Mai. Environment: In the city center area, only 10 minutes' drive from the airport. You can reach the ancient city on foot. The surrounding restaurants and night markets in the evening are very unique, cheap and good. Facilities: It is still a relatively new hotel. Especially the shared hotel part. The park has beautiful scenery and is decorated with Chinese New Year flavor. The Chinese restaurant and breakfast are in the same place, which is very convenient. Service: The hotel staff at the front desk always greeted me with a smile and recommended some of the best local restaurants. Although I didn't have time to try it. But this service is worth experiencing again.

The hotel is really clean and convenient. The suites have kitchens, stoves, ovens and washing machines. They helped me check in at 12 o'clock. The mini bar was free on the first day. I had breakfast every day until I lasted and snacks were delivered to me in the evening. It was most touching. The most fragrant smell of plums in the hotel corridor is really friendly to sensitive people! The welcome drink was so delicious that I will never forget it!

We traveled there with a fear that the hotel may not be as nice as the other Four Seasons hotels we have visited in the past. But we got there and got amazed of how the hotel is. The hotel is built around a lake. On a side of the lake there are sone rice plantation. The rooms are all around the lake and the plantation but hidden in a beautiful forest and gardens very well maintained. The hotel has, nearby the lake, an activities area including rice planting, pink buffalo bathing, pottery learning, etc. It makes you feel like you are living in a small thai village, in the middle of the nature (ok… luxury village in a luxury nature… ). The room is a “Four Seasons” room with a plus for the outside pavilion, high up from the ground and accesuble from the room through a bridge. All for the two of us to enjoy a drink and a cigar after the dinner right in the middle of the nature (luxury forest as previously mentioned…). So, you may see similar rooms in other hotels but domains as in the Four Seasons hotels you definately won find easily elsewhere. Even the pools were built by using green ceramic, so everywhere you look it is green. So relaxing for the eyes! Overall, it is hard to find the right words to describe the feelings this hotel gives you. If you are a traveler, you should not miss the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel! You literally wake up in the jungle with sounds of nature and wild life. The service is on point. All the employees are very attentive. Activities offered by the hotel are fun, especially treating those buffalos that leave in the property. We highly recommend to explore some of the numerous cultural sites such as temples in the vicinity. If you're active you should definitely enjoy a hike on one of the nearby mountains. Visiting elephants in their natural habitat can also be organised by the hotel. We enjoyed delicious dinners at the hotel especially due to the amazing service of Aom. We will definitely come back.

Na Nirand is a beautiful and exceptionally well kept boutique gem of a hotel. The staff is outstanding in every way. Breakfast is excellent, and dinner should not be missed. The chef is five stars! The pool is relaxing and an oasis setting. The rooms are in spotless condition with traditional Lanna styling. Grand Lanna or better is my recommendation. Although the magnificent tree with mostly trimmed, I look forward to a return visit to Na Nirand to see it in full bloom.

The facilities, the food of time restaurant and the overall services are excellent and fantastic. Special thanks to Geo for his email answering on all our queries before we come and his hospitality is great & offering free upgrade to Royal deluxe room and 30% off for the Spa with children and husband in one room. This hotel allows to borrow bikes for free and so chill & nice.

Great location for exploring downtown / old town, right next to the entry of a temple Phaya Yakkharaj (Southern Pavillion) and many other sights. On sundays you‘ve a huge night market right in front of your door step, so make sure you’re going to stay over the weekend. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room amenities and the entire minibar incl. Snake is refilled daily free of charge. Furthermore there‘s a afternoon tea time with additional free snacks and drinks. Just the breakfast selection could be a bit wider. Especially when you have your breakfast close to closure (10:30am), you might be disappointed as not much will be refilled after 10am. The room are spacious and well equipped, my kids and I had 2303 & 2302. Just a proper hair drier is need, not this built in useless blowers we all know and hate to use. Also the provided pillows are ultra hard and high, so you may request for a extra soft feather pillow or neck support pillow if needed, which will be provided by the hotel staff / housekeeping. Hotel pool area is clean and well maintained! All over a great place to stay with reasonable pricing and great service!

We had a fantastic stay at Chala number 6. Our family of four booked two room. The hotel's location was perfect, right in the middle of the old city, close to everything. The hotel itself is stunning, with a lovely garden and a beautiful pool in the center. We enjoyed the delightful tea time between 2-4 PM and the complimentary minibar, reflecting the hotel's generous hospitality. Highly recommend!

I love Boutique hotels and have been to Chiang Mai before, so I was a tiny bit worried about staying outside the centre/town, but needn't have worried. This place is so beautiful and flawless my boutique hotel heart skipped a beat! Service is impeccable, spa amazing, food was soooo good and the room beautiful and comfortable. The hotel arranged for me a private driver to Chiang Rai as well as pottery class in Chiang mai and unique temple visits also in Chiang Mai. I loved their afternoon delights and I'm happy to report I still have them at home and smile when I see them. (I won't spoil the surprise.) Just go - you'll be happy here!

We had a fabulous stay at the Raya Heritage as part of our honeymoon trip throughout Thailand! The hotel is stunning and great location along the river- close enough to easily get into town (they provide a shuttle) but feels like a more serene area than in the city. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome, paying attention to every detail (special thanks to Dan who took amazing care of us throughout our stay!) Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a five star experience in Chiang Mai!

I'm back at this amazing Chiang Mai resort for the fourth time! When I'm in Chiang Mai, Anantara Resort is my number one pick for ”a place to stay”. No matter if I'm here on business or for fun, this place never disappoints. It's right on the Ping River. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and best of all, all rooms have amazing river views! Breakfast here is one of the best in town (in my opinion), and there's a variety of Western and Thai options. Their Lanna Omelet is so good. Try their signature Lanna omelet if you want a taste of fusion-style northern food. This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a weekend getaway or a delightful business trip in Chiang Mai. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Chiang Mai next time. Stella job!

It was my first trip to Chiang Mai, so I had a lot of worries when choosing a hotel. But I think it's a very good choice for Anantara. Luxury facilities, friendly staff, good location for sightseeing, etc. are very satisfying. If I go to Chiang Mai again, I really want to go there again

If, like us, you are looking for somewhere to relax after your travels then Sela is absolutely the perfect place to unwind, just 30 mins outside Chiangmai. The building is beautiful and the staff are most welcoming and attentive. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is immaculate, tucked away and with ample shade. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and Windows restaurant, open from midday, offers delicious dishes to suit all tastes. It is perhaps surprising to discover that the property was built very recently as it echos the style and grandeur of yesteryear. I’m certain this beautiful hotel will soon become a go-to destination for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of Chiangmai for the peace and quiet of the countryside. All in all this property is an absolute gem

I first stayed at Sela Chiangmai with my family in July 2022. I chose to stay here because I did not want to stay in a hotel that is crowded. I can only say that I made the right choice to stay at Sela. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable. There was everything you needed in a room. There were lots of sockets for all your needs. The bed was so comfortable that I did not want to get up. Breakfast was made individually and was so delicious. I just love the atmosphere there. The service was incredibly good. The staff were so friendly and helpful and would go out of their way to get things done for their guests. I went back there again 2 weeks after I came back. I just love it there. Very peaceful and quiet.

The 2-bedroom room is very suitable for friends to travel with children. I like the independent swimming pool on the first floor. You can swim and chat at any time. The location of the hotel is a little off, which is more suitable for self-driving travel. But the overall texture is very good, and the breakfast tastes good. The only drawback is that the hotel is a healing hotel that advocates nature, so there is no air conditioning in the restaurant. Chiang Mai, which is more than 40 degrees, is a bit hot. I will stay here next time.

I'm desperately disappointed to be writing a negative review for this hotel as I was so looking forward to staying here. We stretched our holiday budget to stay in a Grand Deluxe Room as we wanted a nice view over the gardens and planned to spend some time relaxing in the hotel. However, this was made impossible by a construction site immediately next to the block containing the deluxe rooms. I appreciate it's not the hotel's fault but these rooms are significantly overpriced given that between 0755 - 1830 there is too much noise to comfortably relax. The rooms are large, clean, and have all the amenities you need. The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower (but no shower curtain so we avoided using it). We used the other shower but this drained so poorly that you were often standing in an inch of water by the time you were finished. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The views over the pool were lovely from the balcony. However, the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable so you won't want to spend much time outside - some cushions would certainly be a cheap and easy improvement. Smoking is permitted on the balconies so if your neighbour smokes, you'll definitely smell it. The pool is cold but refreshing. There are seven loungers and 3 seats. There are plenty of towels available, as well as a shower and toilets. The garden is well maintained and landscaped nicely. At night it looks quite magical with the lanterns and lit up pool. The breakfast is pretty basic and underwhelming. Unless it's included in your room rate, I wouldn't spend any additional money on it. Location wise, as others have mentioned, you are by a main road so we did expect the traffic noise. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the main street where the Sunday Market is held. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel at the moment. It looks lovely but the noise from construction site is really overwhelming, even when sat by the pool. At this price point (we paid around £90 a night) there are much better options to be had in Chiang Mai. I wish I had known about the construction prior to booking as I certainly wouldn't have stayed here.
- Anna S
The aesthetics of the public areas of this hotel are amazing. People come to the cafe here just to take selfies and cool down in the fountain which spews cold air! It is truly breath-taking and beautiful and it stands out from the main road. We liked our room (although a little dark - this seems to be standard in Thailand.) We had a pool access room (we paid a bit more for a Grand Duluxe. The other rooms seem to be closer to the main road.( The bathroom is stunning and the furniture and deco in the rooms is lovely. The pillows are a little lumpy but no big deal. We liked the pool area, although small. At the time we were there it was not busy and there were only 2 sun loungers. Very pretty though. The location is not bad, just in the old town and near a couple of really nice cafes. Also close to the Ram hospital in case you want to get a medical check (cheap in Thailand!) They also sorted our our laundry for us for a decent price. It came back smelling lovely and nicely folded. The staff were sweet and helpful and this place is a must-see!

This is our second time staying at this hotel. I came in a hurry last time, but I can finally enjoy it this time. 😊 The hostess is an architect herself. The entire courtyard and building were designed by the hostess herself. The driving road that we entered at the beginning already had the feeling of a secret jungle. The courtyard is full of climbing plants, which can be seen as a natural appearance that has grown slowly over the years. Although there are many flowers and plants, the hotel has mosquito coils in the rest areas. Basically, you can sit and relax without any mosquitoes bothering you. Then I love the hostess’s little collection. It can be seen that they are all watercolor paintings and small decorations that she secretly likes. (It’s great to have a place where you can store the treasures you buy.) And the butler service here is also great. They can help us collect takeaways and deliver them to the room beautifully. Just send them the grab reservation. There is absolutely no effort required to google translate (you can completely go offline). There are also quite a few delicious Thai dishes nearby, and we ordered several excellent authentic Thai dishes. It doesn't have that authentic feel in the city center. The main disadvantage is that it is a bit far from the city center. We originally planned to come here to have fun and relax. But if you want to go out to the city center, it takes almost 25 minutes by car. This was our last stop so it was no problem for us.

The Hotel is new and in a quiet location S.E. of the old City, although still within reasonable walking distance to the East Gate. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean, with many fine attentive touches. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. One snag is that there is no cafe or restaurant after breakfast time, except the ones in the old Empress next door.

I am a regular visitor to Chiangmai and thought I should try out this new hotel in town. What a fabulous experience it was The room is very spacious and the hotel is decorated in a modern style, with plenty of Thai touches. The lighting is good and the mirrors in the room are great if you love a mirror selfie as much as I do. The club lounge, (known as the level) is one of the best I have experienced I loved the cocktails of the day especially the Chao Phraya one made with local rum, very delicious, and so much fun to have it made in front of us in a fabulous copper coloured shaker. The service in the club is excellent, the manager Taemasin is very charming and super helpful. He had so much passion for the hotel My only regret is that I did not get to dine in the Mai restaurant. I had seen some beautiful pictures of the food on instagram, and after I talked to Taemasin, who told me that the food is so much more special then the photos can show, I know that I will definitely be back.

I came there with my family in December 2015. The view from our room was great (we booked 3 rooms) and the rooms were clean. This hotel is best for relaxation as the area is very quiet. Breakfast was delicious too, but they didn't specify the name of the food (it was a bit difficult for us to identify halal food). Another problem was that there were no restaurants or (similar to 7-11 convenience stores) shops nearby (the nearest restaurant takes 10-15 minutes to walk). Besides that, the overall experience was great.

Bit more basic than some other hotels - rooms have gone for that 'industrial look'. But comfy bed and good shower so does the job. Bit hard to find down a side street, but still inside the old city so a good location. Quite and safe (guard at night) - not that's safety is a worry in Chiang Mai - my favourite city in Thailand. Stopped here a few times, mainly because my Thai in-laws love the place, only because it is so close to the airport. Every visit something was wrong!! Not exactly the cheapest accommodation either. The toilet would not flush in one room, the taps at the bathroom sink turned with the handles in another room. We could not sleep because of the road noise (we were on the 5th floor!) in another room. The wi-fi was non-existent in one room. There was no hot water in another room. Every room the shower trays filled up with soapy water and was very slippery; dangerous in fact. The breakfast was OK for me, nothing flash. Toast, jam, juice, tea, coffee, milo, all the basics. Not real sure why people were climbing through the window to get here though. One lady I saw scraped all the brown off her toast, so that is was just white!!?? (Something to do with Thais believing that toast causes cancer I was told). Loved the sign beside the toaster that actually worked (the other one was broken on every visit and was just sitting there collecting dust). No cancer from that one! Words to this effect: ”Please do not put butter and jam on bread before placing in toaster.” At least the beer from reception 'fridge was cheaper than most shops. Nice and cold too. Gotta love it!

Snugged in a corner of a residential area is this gorgeous hotel that matches its name - White. Two 4 storey buildings and an open pool area make up this comfortable hotel with big huge rooms! Don't expect too much variety for your breakfast but it is sufficient! The location of the hotel is relatively near to (within 10 mins walk): 1) Chiang Mai Gate Market, 2) Anusarn Market, 3) Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, and 4) Wau Lai Walking Street by the river of Mae Kha Canal. You'll have to take time and walk around this area. If you stay around here for more than 3 days, you will find that this area has many little shops and restaurants littered all around that serves fabulous food at very affordable prices! Needed a place in Chiang Mai for 4 nights. Didn't care about luxury but didn't want the cheapest place I could find either. Came across this on Agoda and thought it might be worth a try. It's 150 Baht ride from The Chiang Mai Airport. I arrived Check in Was quick and easy. The room is immaculate. Small but very clean. Great bed flat screen TV many many channels. The air condition is fantastic. It's a hostile but it also has. Individual rooms Which is what I booked. It's unbelievable value. 22.50 a night. They don't advertise free breakfast. But they have a common area just behind reception. With a big screen TV and it's got a full kitchen that everybody is welcome to use. If you clean up after yourself, they have all the utensils. They do have a small breakfast in the morning, which is free to everybody who stays here. Although they don't advertise. It waffles cereal coffee tea toast. Basic But very nice. They also have four or five bicycles that are available free of charge to use which is a tremendous perk. There are a couple of negatives but based on the value for money. I can work around them. Number one no room safe number two When you take the key card out when you leave the room the refrigerator also loses electricity. First I've seen this most hotels I've stayed at. Had the refrigerator socket wired to stay hot, even when the key card was out. And it would be nice if they had a chair. In the room nothing fancy just a basic chair. Should I find myself in Chiang Mai again? I will definitely use this hotel again. The staff here are very very friendly. From the reception to the room cleaners everyone always smiling willing to help out answer any questions. Making sure everybody has a nice day. I can't recommend this place enough.

Nimmanhaemin Road Area Chiang Mai|2.63km from city center
Location is great. I checked in very late, after midnight and they still have receptionist to serve my check in. Very quick and easy, no need deposit. I stayed here before, but this time when I entered the room it was quite smelly, perhaps from the toilet side. It has all the amenities you need for the stay. Because it’s location at Ninman, do expect heavy traffic jam getting to there hotel and out from hotel.

Chiang Mai Ancient City Chiang Mai|0.42km from city center
A very nice boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. Got everything you need. Fantastic stay and super money worth! Friendly staff and beautiful room. Some things to pick on to be perfect: shower head could be stronger and water could be hotter, and the room floor (any wooden floor) somehow is quite slippery Photo-spot: swimming pool :)
