What a Disappointment the Faena Hotel is. NOT a 5 star hotel it once was. The bed in our room was more than 10 years over due for a change. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in a “5 star hotel” . The staff is rude if you are not Argentinian, typical for of a hotel that pays the staff practically nothing and a place no one tips. The bartender at the library was totally focused on taking to the ****** at the bar and totally ignored us sitting next to this loud obnoxious couple. The pool was freezing cold. Why can’t they heat the pool to take the chill off so you can enjoy the pool. The wait staff at the pool was slow to deliver the drinks or food at the pool and often confused the orders or never returned to deliver the correct order. The man at the checkin Juan Pablo is joke. He gave wrong information about the hotels offerings for the valentines dinners. I found out the evening of valentines that there was a Tango Show with dinner that included meat choices that the other restaurants were not offering. The Tango show and dinner was offered for $270 USD per person. I was offered $135 USD pp at the door or 48,000 Argentinian pesos which equals $270 pp. it had to do with the blue dollar. While I was negotiating with the man at the entrance to the Tango show I saw food coming from the Mercado restaurant through the lobby long lobby filled with people uncovered, how disgusting. We declined to eat or see the show. Do yourself a favor and stay at the holiday inn and save yourself a lot of money and aggravation and most of all disappoint in once was a fabulous hotel. They tell you that the hotel is full as well as the restaurants. That’s a lie, nothing at Faena is full except the arrogance they dish out.

Beautiful hotel in a trendy area. Was fully booked at the time I was there. Couldn't arrange a late check out. Located near a cannel which has multiple restaurants and night clubs. All the amenities you would expect.

My husband and I just stayed here for 4 nights. We were given a very early check in, as well as a late check out on the last day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Pony Line bar was great and very very busy Friday and Saturday. We came back from dinner late Friday night and even though there was no space, we were told they could seat us. The Elena restaurant was also very good. Wonderful staff and good. Although it took an unbelievably long time to pay. We went to the pool 2 days. Absolutely the best pool in BA and just a gorgeous view of the mansion and probably the most perfect pool temperature I’ve experienced. The spa was nice. They are not doing facials because of Covid. So we received body scrubs and massage. It was pretty good. I’m glad we went but not sure if book there again. The room itself was wonderful. The Nespresso maxing in the room was wonderful. The bed was super comfy, the soaking bathtub with bath salts and L’Occtaine products was just perfect. Also the view of the city and mansion/pool was just incredible!! Would definitely recommend

I booked on behalf of my colleagues, and I didn't live here myself, but I asked questions via email, and the replies were timely and polite. Hope to try it myself next time.

Outstanding stay in this beautiful jewel of a hotel. The staff is exemplary in every way--incredibly accommodating and kind at every turn. Our room/suite was clean and wonderfully equipped with small details including a desk with multiple types of outlets. Breakfast, snacks, and beverages were plentiful and generous. The location is perfect--Recoleta is gorgeous, retaining a French/European vibe. There are great restaurants, galleries and shopping nearby, and it's an easy walk to Recoleta Cemetery and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Algodon's staff is priceless--truly making this beautiful hotel the perfect stay for BA. I will definitely stay here again on a return trip.

From start to finish, our experience at the Algodon Mansion was excellent. The concierges were incredibly helpful and helped us get reservations we could not get on our own. The hotel is a gorgeous and special architectural gem which has been elegantly modernized. The room was huge (as was the ”King” bed which was actually the size of two full beds sisde by side”. The amenitis are fabulous-delicious snacks and treats avialble throughout the day. , gratis, as is the wine and beverages supplied in the room. Breaksfast next door ( also included) was delicious. My brother-in-law recommended this hotel and we are so happy he did. First class experinece all the way!

Probably will return. A 3.5 star. Location is excellent, in a tree lined street in Recoleta neighborhood. Across street from a small shopping mall Patio Bullrich, which has movie theatre and cafe. A few blocks north (left) is the good restaurant Fervor and cute cigar bar, both highly recommended. Very good service; again most of the staff don’t speak English. Hotel has a restaurant Alma on the ground floor. A gym, pool (could use some cleaning!) and sauna on the first floor. Our room is spacious, so is the bathroom. The electrical power outlet uses Type I - 3 prong. (Some other hotels in Buenos Aires use European Type F - 2 round prong). I only find one usb port in the room. Bathroom. The corner of the bath tub is beautifully rounded out. Water pressure in the shower is very good. The three essential, shampoo, bath gel and conditioner (that’s how my shower’s sequence) are good but very difficult to get to - the pumps are too small and too close to the wall. Can’t imagine how some one with bigger hand … Open drainage - ok it isn’t ‘open’ but it feels like it - you’ll hear every drop of water down the drain. Maybe it’s their way to remind you to conserve water. Two elevators function well and quick. But at group check out time, it can take for long time. Remedy: go up first.
- Guest User
Bedrooms need a major refresh. Very tired. Don’t be confused with the pics on the website. Plumbing is noisy and functions badly. Toilet did not flush properly . Bath takes 60 mins to empty and can be heard in the bedroom when emptying . The concierge messed up on a trip we booked to see the gauchos. The bus never arrived, and they had to taxi us to the venue in a 15 year old small Fiat , that was falling apart. Driver travelling at 140kms an hour, whilst checking his phone! Had to tell him 4 times to slow down! Not a professional coscierge service. The staff don’t arrive at their desks until 10.00 am when morning tours have already (?) departed

This hotel is one of the most luxurious in BA and is located in a golden location. You can walk to the cemetery, and Hermes is across the road. The whole is indeed a palace style, very retro and beautiful, and the hotel that I live in NYC is much better. The service is quite satisfactory, and I can say that it is the service that this price hotel should have. Stayed here for a total of five nights, first-time arrival and imminent departure, bearing too many memories for me 🥺Will be back for sure

The Alvear Palace is a beautiful and sophisticated hotel in the heart of one of the nicest neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. It’s got a wonderful old world flavor, though with every modern convenience. We were treated very well during our stay. And the pool on the top floor, overlooking the skyline, was a nice plus. Not sure one could do much better in Buenos Aires.

The hotel is located in the Port District of Ellis on the plateau. The location is OK and the traffic is very inconvenient. The room in the hotel is still clean and the light is still fresh. The restaurant equipment of the hotel, the lobby on the first floor is relatively fine. But the service attitude of the bar and coffee room and knee socks are OK, the staff service at the front desk and concierge is OK, as for the first floor of the restaurant landscape on the top floor, you can see the far view of the entire capital. The seaside, personally think this hotel hotel facilities are clean and staff service attitude is OK, it should be said It was Argentina's service attitude was slow, and it took 20 minutes to enter the restaurant to start counting the cards and water, but this is not the only problem with this hotel, the whole of Argentina is like this.

We stayed at this hotel for our pre-cruise hotel as part of our Antarctica cruise, so we didn't choose it. Location-wise, it wasn't central at all. However, we had stayed at the Four Seasons for a few nights before coming here, so it didn't matter much to us. But I wouldn't recommend this location to any first-time visitors. The room was beautiful and had a gorgeous view. There were two swimming pools - the outdoor pool was a bit disappointing as it was covered under the shade from other high rises when we tried to enjoy it in the afternoon. The indoor pool would be a good alternative if it weren't sunny outside. One thing to note was the hotel's exchange rate. It was far below the official rate, and we wished we had known that ahead of time. Lastly, the check-in and check-out process was a bit slow, and you definitely don't get the same 5-star experience as at the Four Seasons.

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the Athenian Bookstore. The hotel’s restaurant is also good, and dinner and breakfast are all eaten at the hotel. Accor's management group. The service staff in the hotel are very enthusiastic. I also did a SPA in the hotel, and the technology is okay. The only little regret is to consult with the hotel before going to the hotel about the taxi fare from the airport to the hotel. The hotel just doesn't say, but I highly recommend the hotel's airport pick-up service. . . Argentina is really cheap! The exhaust fan in the bathroom is loud, and the air outlet is facing the bed, so I dare not turn it on at night. . . Afraid of blowing it out.

The Park Tower Hotel is a large convention center hotel connected to the Sheraton next door. The lobby is enormous and the rooms are pretty large also. It is located next to Plaza San Martin and a 10 minute walk to the Puerto Madero or a ld port area. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - concierge recommended a restaurant and got us a reservation and a taxi to dinner our first night, recommended a theatre for dinner and a tango show and made our reservations which included transportation, directed us to a money exchange location close by and also pointed us to an ATM just across the street. The hotel is very clean and bright. There is a nice bar in the Sheraton right across the hall and also an 2 restaurants, one in the Park Tower and one in the Sheraton and while they are good, there are much better steak restaurants close by. It’s a good clean, safe hotel and I would stay there again.

The hotel is in a good location, right next to the obelisk and opposite the Clone Opera House. Hotel facilities are old, but very clean, very historic hotel. The front desk service is OK, the male waiters are generally average, and the waitresses are very enthusiastic. Breakfast is not bad.

I stayed at several hotels during my trip to Buenos Aires and this was by far my favorite. The rooms are modern and clean and the bathrooms are large. I asked for a high floor room in advance and was given this. The staff at the hotel were accomidating and helpful. The breakfast was great as well! The location of this hotel is great for someone traveling to BA for leisure. It is close to all major attractions and easy to get to others.

725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

The hotel is particularly convenient for transportation. The train station is opposite, and the train station is connected to the subway underground. Next to the train station is the city bus terminal and the coach terminal. The road on the left is the city sightseeing station. The cruise terminal and the airport bus stop are only 1.5 kilometers away on foot. It is rare for five-star hotels to have such convenient transportation.

We arrived yesterday after a night flight… our tour company Condor Travel arranged for an early check in at 0830 am which was very helpful. The room is clean and has a great shower. Sadly the room noise from the air conditioning was very loud through the night. We can also hear the elevator… and I think the breakfast restaurant must be above us as we were woken up at approximately 4am with music… as we are returning shortly after a few days away… we will request a better room. The maintenance man was brilliant… we couldn’t get the safe to close or the air conditioning to work… we put a call into reception desk and within 10 minutes it was all sorted…thank you. We ate in the main restaurant for lunch the Caesar Salad was first class and the club sandwich big enough for 2 with fries. We will update on our return in a few days.

The room is quite unique and very cozy, but it is really not soundproofed and very noisy, and people here make loud noises from late into the early morning. The room is not big and the bed is small. Fierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though. The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room. We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious. The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines. The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great! We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm. I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!
