"A perfect spot to explore Bordeaux. The small hotel is busting with character - down to the rooms being named after the prestigious wine chateaux of the region. Location is superb - all the sights are walking distance. Plus the staff are awesome! Always helpful - with suggestions, reservations etc. We will be back!"
"We enjoy boutique hotels because of their uniqueness and personal service. So a very positive impression of the front desk who organised and recommended. The hotel itself was ”nice” I would say, I did find it a little too cramped, both the room and the swimming area. The room itself was well decorated and had an Espresso machine. On the other hand, I liked the location and also found the breakfast pretty perfect. I would recommend a little side trip to St. Emilion and Bordeaux is of course a wonderful city, great architecture, nice old town and friendly people."
"Upmarket boutique hotel in central location. Attractive, well presented hotel and would have given more stars but it was very expensive and overpriced for a small room. There was barely any surface area to put anything and no proper chair to sit on, just a stool. Breakfast was also not included. Small balcony over street was sole natural ventilation - noise from cars meant that the doors had to be closed at night and the air conditioning left on."

"We booked this hotel for just one night. We took a spontaneous trip out of Paris and were going to move on if we did not enjoy the city or hotel. We loved both the hotel and the city! We promptly booked additional nights after our first night. The team were friendly and courteous. Their English was great and they were here to make sure we had a great stay. The staff at this 5 star boutique make this stay exemplary and memorable. They will open doors for you. They will smile and make sure your requests are met. Most importantly, they are genuine and take pride in their hotel. The concierge has excellent recommendations. The room was large for European standards and the nightly turn down service was excellent with nougats placed every night. They were generous with complimentary water bottles refreshed each night. The pool was warm and a refreshing day to cool down or get some exercise in before a day on the town Bordeaux is such a lovely town and this hotel was the perfect base to explore it. If I were ever so lucky to visit this town again, we would stay here in a heartbeat."
"We had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous hotel for 5 nights and met all the staff. From the hotel manager to the reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff, everyone went out of their way to provide exceptional customer experience. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well appointed. Mattresses, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and the A/C was working very well. Breakfast had great variety of cold cuts, cheeses, smoked salmon, eggs, bacon, various sweet pies, variety of croissants and baguettes. Beautiful setting for breakfast inside and outside, including service with a smile. The location was not in the center of town, but next to a beautiful garden. We loved it being more quite than other hotels, and still within 10-15 minutes walking distance to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and cant wait to come back!"
"We stayed for 6 days in the Tolstoi room. The room was impeccable with king bed, seating area, bath and shower, and double sinks. The room overlooked the pool and was shaded by beautiful trees and plants. The hotel in general is classically stylish and elegant (but not over the top) with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are top notch -- very helpful, friendly and gracious. The front desk staff are super efficient and welcoming. All the members of the team were wonderful. A special thank you to Charles for his kindness, help, and professionalism. Overall, this hotel and the team are brilliant. If we return from Canada one day, we will stay at this hotel without question."

"This was an amazing little boutique hotel. The moment we booked it, there was great communication from the hotel. We were in e-mail communication with my various questions, and the team was very helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted with great courtesy and felt very welcome to the Hotel Cardinal. Each of their team members were kind, and informative. The rooms were clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect as it was minutes walk to the old town core, but yet set on a quiet side street so it was not noisy. A few small negatives: the bathrooms were small and tight; the showers were pitch black with black tiles so it was really dark. Overall, the soft and hard product was great, and would definitely stay here again."
"Even before I arrived, the staff at Hotel Cardinal Bordeaux had provided great service, making dinner reservations and arranging for an in-room massage. Then, after a very tiring day flying from Los Angeles, I was warmly greeted by the desk clerk and checked into my beautiful suite (Montesquieu). I stayed there 4 nights and each evening I got a handwritten ”Good Night” note. Besides the outstanding, friendly service of the staff, the location is perfect for exploring the historic center of Bordeaux. It's everything you could ask for in a boutique hotel."
"Stayed 4 nights after 2 cancellations due to Covid. The attention given prior to our visit ensured our stay was excellent. Restaurants booked for each evening, all within walking distance with maps provided. Hotel is a haven of peace in the heart of old Bordeaux, close to the cathedral. We stayed in The Mauriac, quite small & compact but breakfast in the courtyard was always such a good start to each day. Comfy bed, tcmf and small kitchen, small but adequate shower room and silence! Delightful staff, so caring and helpful, cannot praise enough."

The location of Pull*** is about 15-20 minutes drive from the city center, but the tram in Bordeaux is very convenient. On the one hand, the frequency is very frequent, and the price is very reasonable. You can buy a 24-hour for $4-$5. Full-day pass, unlimited rides. The hotel room is clean and tidy, the space is moderate, the facilities are quite large, the pool table, the pool, the piano, the breakfast is also good. If time permits, I am willing to choose a hotel that is farther away from the city center, affordable and relatively new. In addition, there is a small-sized casino on the side of the hotel. The main game is to play slot machines, but the scale cannot be compared with the casinos in Macau. It is just one more night entertainment destination.

Cost-effective. The location is very good, PAUL and McDonald's are near the street, it takes less than 1 minute to walk. Lafayette is also very close. Within 3 minutes. Tourist Information, Grand Theatre, tram station is also very close, walk about 5 minutes to . Be aware that Bordeaux has a pedestrian zone and the car cannot go directly to the hotel entrance. Hotel facilities have a Nespresso coffee machine, shampoo and conditioner, unlike other hotels only all-in-one. Note that the bathtub is a bit high. Breakfast costs $15 euro. Consider buying city day pass, 24 hours $29 euro. Pack the wine museum (tickets $20 euro) and some entrance tickets and public transportation (tickets $4.7 euro). If you go to the wine museum, the value for money.

I was a little wary of staying at this hotel, as I normally avoid big chains. Having said that, the look and feel of the hotel was very much the same as an independent, boutique establishment (and let’s face it, many ‘boutiques’ are owned by the big boys anyway). I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

Line 1 Airport bus stops just outside. Near Place Gambetta and Tram-B. Walking distance to city centre. Excellent staff, extremely helpful. Stayed in 3 person studio. No room cleaning if less than 7 nights. Good comfortable bed. Enough pillows. Clean and everything needed available. I'd say an oven would be better than the small useless dishwasher which doesn't accommodate the large dishes!? Next to Auchan huge hypermarket and Meriadec Mall. Very good all rounder.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the train station, the surrounding environment is not very good. The hotel was newly built and everything was new. Checkin speed is average, and checkout is fast. There is no air-conditioning in the small room, so it's uncomfortable when the weather is hot...

Room facilities are very good and spacious. Separate kitchen bathroom living room is the tram stop but because it is a hotel apartment bedding is not very comfortable. Extra bed blankets. Many hairs are required to leave before cleaning. The price is not particularly advantageous. The same price in Paris can live in adagio Bordeaux. Can choose to live in the city center hotel

We booked a terrace suite for there nights. Efficient service, nice and clean hotel, gorgeous views, good breakfast. Only the location: a relatively long walk from the tram stop, the Cité du Vin and the Bassin des Lumières (650 meters). And then this woman at the reception desk with this attitude: ”Why would some so beatiful and attractive as myself be serving someone old and ugly like you?”. Not the woman who checked us in, who did a fantastic job, just the next day went I want to ask a detail about my parking ticket. I know it must be difficult to find good staff, but next time I will start yelling at people with this attitude.
