This is a great stay experience. I came with friends . The hotel is located in the villa area. The room is oversized and only renovated. All are floor-to-ceiling windows. The room is clean and tidy. The location of this place is very good. You can take the bus for one yuan when you go out. Five to 10 minutes to the beach, it is very convenient to watch the sunrise! Qishang Rongshe·Twelve Hours Travel Notes 🍃First encounter·Peace of mind journey For my first solo trip in 2025, I chose Qishang Rongshe. Before departure, the hotel had arranged a three-day itinerary for me. The thoughtful details made me, a Taurus, feel at ease. When I arrived, the sun was shining and the air was fresh, as if I had stepped into another time and space. Butler Qi Chu took me to the trail in the back mountain, picking flowers and plants as materials for rubbings. The breath was full of natural breath, and I bid farewell to the hustle and bustle of the city for a short time and just enjoyed the present. 🏨Architecture·Watching the century-old banyan tree The building of Qishang Rongshe is an old building from 1920, which has been revitalized and renewed. The hotel's logo is a century-old banyan tree, with intertwined roots and symbiotic dependence with the building, which is also the origin of the hotel logo. There are only 9 guest rooms in the entire space, each of which is equipped with a bathtub and a meditation chair, which is very suitable for a person's healing journey. The morning light shines into the room through the wooden window lattices, and the air is filled with the warm scent of wood, which makes people unconsciously slow down their breathing and immerse themselves in it. 🍵 Time·Zen Tea In Qishang Rongshe, time seems to flow very slowly. Practice Baduanjin in the morning, copy scriptures at sunset, and stroll in the mountains when the weather is fine, breathing the smell of the mountains and forests. In addition to the natural experience, the local culture of the hotel is also full of charm. The hotel's refreshments are provided by Jinlan Bakery on Gulangyu Island, which is purchased daily to ensure freshness. Before leaving, I bought a few boxes as souvenirs to bring this ”Zen” back to daily life. [Color R] Taste buds·Surprise of shiso flavor The dual enjoyment of vision and taste is a highlight of Qishang Rongshe. For breakfast, the butler will deliver the meal to the dining table in the hotel corridor. The moment the curtains are opened, a new day officially begins. For dinner, I chose Haihai Restaurant. Every dish is embellished with shiso, and I even tasted the Fujian specialty lunch fish. At first I thought the price was a bit high, but after eating, I felt that this meal, both in terms of taste and experience, was the most unforgettable meal in my three days in Gulangyu. [Rainbow R] Accident·Stunning in Light and Shadow There is a small exhibition space hidden behind the bookstore in the hotel. This exhibition is called ”Fat”. During the day, I was attracted by the material and tension of the exhibits, but when I visited again at night, I was shocked by the unexpected beauty. The light was projected on the wall through the gaps in the works, and one of the shadows was similar to the whiskers of the banyan tree in front of the hotel. The ingenuity of the artist and curator made me resonate more deeply with this space at this moment. Conclusion·The journey is not over The three days in Qishang Rongshe are like a redefinition of time. Here, people and nature, history and the present, interweave a flowing poetry. On the way back, my body and mind were already relaxed. This journey is not only a journey, but also a healing. Looking forward to returning next time to continue the unfinished travel time.

When I first arrived at Huangyan 36, the housekeeper's spring-like smile wiped away my travel fatigue. From the precise instructions when picking up at the pier to the warm ginger tea handed to me after check-in, every detail is full of meticulous warmth. The most touching thing is the housekeeper's familiarity with Gulangyu Island - they will tell you about the Qindao history of Shuzhuang Garden according to your pace, or quietly draw a hand-drawn map, marking the little-known century-old banyan tree secret behind Sunlight Rock, so that the historical context of this small island can be naturally stretched while walking. The hotel itself is an extension of Gulangyu Island's elegant temperament. In the courtyard converted from a century-old Western-style building, bougainvillea meanders along the red brick wall, old rattan chairs sway gently under the shade of the trees, and the open-air tea table is always ready with Minnan oolong tea, and the fragrance of tea and the sea breeze interweave into a lazy afternoon. The retro furniture, hand-woven carpets and intelligent facilities in the guest rooms are cleverly integrated. When you open the window, you can see the sparkling water of Lujiang River. Even the fragrance in the bathroom uses the frangipani flower scent that is unique to Gulangyu Island. The details are full of respect for local culture. Here, the butler is not only a service provider, but also an old friend who knows the story of the island well, and uses appropriate care to make the journey full of surprises. When night falls, sitting on the rooftop and looking at the brightly lit international buildings, I suddenly feel that the charm of Huangyan 36 is to turn the literary and artistic heritage of Gulangyu Island into a touchable and perceptible warm daily life.

Really enjoy the stay. The room is beautiful and service is great. My service ambassador Lana ( Wenli) attended to me with great care. She booked me “Sailing Experience “ and walked me all the way to the deck. When I asked for extra tea cup in the room, she also brought me special mineral water just for tea (泡茶专用水) very impressed.

Bad experience, 1st time stay also will be my last. 1, bad check in experience (GSA face didn’t have any expression) no any explanation for room n also didn’t mention breakfast at all too. 2. After stay in the water pressure got prob very slow then call 3 times to FD n 3rd time only pick up my call then offer to change room. 3. We change to new room bt the light keep auto on n off for 1st night and I didn’t ask to change room cos I tot bulb issue so is ok . 2nd night horrible ,the curtain auto close n open. But can be said Hotel room view is nice and also location . Hope their GSA can be train be more professional as this is 5 star hotel n price alsp not cheaper.

During this stay, the performance of the front desk staff was very satisfactory. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could feel their warm and thoughtful service attitude. Whether it was answering questions or assisting with check-in procedures, they were meticulous and responded very quickly. They efficiently solved various problems, which made people feel comfortable. However, except for Dingjing Building, all other buildings of the hotel are currently undergoing renovation. The construction process generated relatively obvious noise, which caused some interference to rest and daily activities. At the same time, the air was filled with the smell of paint, which not only affected the air quality, but also reduced the comfort of staying to a certain extent. I hope that the hotel can reasonably arrange the construction time and strengthen ventilation measures to improve the current situation.

I took my parents out on the May 1 holiday~ The overall service of the hotel is very good, and it did not lose its enthusiasm because of the large number of people on holidays. Shuiyuan and the entire villa hotel are very large, but if you don’t want to walk, there will be a brother who is available at any time to drive and pick you up. The housekeeper Xiao Luo’s WeChat service is also very timely. If you don’t understand anything, he will answer it in time. There is also the lobby manager Xiaojie~ Thank you very much, because we came by Didi taxi, the driver didn’t know us, and dropped us off at the unopened gate and left, causing a misunderstanding, and he came to pick us up specially. The hotel is right outside Huangcuo Beach🏝️ because it is very convenient to walk to~ It’s really perfect for those who like the seaside, you can see the sea at sunrise and the sea at night. The hotel facilities are nothing to say. Finally, I have to say that the Chinese restaurant in the hotel has received unanimous praise from our family. The ingredients are fresh and the price is affordable. Hahaha, as a result, I ate here for 3 days

It was the best hotel in Xiamen, beautiful deco and elegant architecture, fabulous wellness centre. Staffs are very nice and helpful, top notch hospitality service from the team. Room is incredibly stunning, beautiful wooden floor matching with the blue couch, super comfortable beds, elegant marble bathroom with premium amenities. My favorite will be the Peacock Alley Lounge, wonderful ambient and design, hightea is heavenly taste. Breakfast is great and quality with lots of options. I would definitely come back to WAXM.

We travelled from Melbourne to walk in the footsteps of my husband's ancestors on Gulangyu for his 50th birthday. Humble Hall made the experience spectacular. It is an oasis of calm, exceptional service. Understated, modest but so generous. We cannot imagine having stayed anywhere else. We traversed around the whole island on foot which was amazing but we dined almost exclusively at HH, there was simply no reason not to just soak HH in for every moment we weren't walking and exploring. It was sublime!
