"We stayed on a standard room. Paid close to 300 usd per night including buffet breakfast which was ok. We asked for an egg arepa and they said not very politely that was at extra cost. My wife wanted only Champaign and not mimosa at a Sunday brunch and the supervisor had to approve.. not to add the orange juice. First answer was a decline. Special places at pool side you have to pay… Towels process in the pool is with tickets. Are people going to this hotel taking the towels home. food is good hotel decoration And facilities are great. Now the big ticket on my 3 starts: happened twice during my 5 day stay: couple of foreigners (not Colombians) with Colombian female “friends” 20 years or more younger that them that could hardly speak their language. That was not fun and not good !!!!! To share the pool with these people !!!!!!"
"We are delighted by the hospitality, neatness and warmth of the people at Marriott Playa Dormida. In spite of the high season they’ve managed to provide excellent service, every spot of the hotel is clean and carefully Re-arranged for the next guess and the food is also delicious! A truly 5 star vacation! Thank you and keep it up!"
"Facilities are brand new and food was incredible! Staff was very friendly and most of the time was there to help. However one thing I got really disappointed on was the cocktails. I’m not a beer drinker so I rather went for margaritas or piña colada. None of the cocktails I ordered tasted like alcohol for such a high price. I’d go back! "

"This is the third time I have the chance to stay at Zuana. I love it in here but I gotta say this one wasn't that good. Starting with good, cool stuff, I want to shout out for the fantastic girl who kept my room clean, perfect and spotless all the time and went the extra mile to provide premium service to most of my needs, Liseth Ferrer really knows about customer service! And also I want to root for cool man Joseph our waiter/bartender at the beach and pool whose charisma and charming service really made our days brighter while resting. Most of the staff's customer service is awesome but the customer service one experiences at front desk and specially with the call center people is honestly awkward. Now the 'not so cool spart'... It feels like some things around the hotel have been around for a good while, like at the gym, most of the weights and grips are the same ones I used the first time I stayed here (6 years ago) and now they're rusty and can mess up your clothes if not careful, not only by having contact but also because they let go some rusty dust. Same happens at the bar where you can play Billiards, among other utensils around restaurants, beach & pool areas. I would recommend that you guys come up with more disposal cans where recyclable waste can be properly separated, there are some but not enough in the most important areas where they should be. In general, I love visitin Santa Marta and staying at Zuana. Work out the little patchy things and your experience will be a 5 stars in short time :)"
"Wow, we really enjoyed our time here. We stayed in the old building, we found it in excellent shape, well maintained and impeccable condition. There are many areas in the resort and they offer a variety of ambiances and food menus. Food is of excellent quality. The best part is their staff, they are truly commited to customer service and focused on letting you have an unforgettable experience. The beach in this side of the bay is not that nice, sand is darker, however is well maintained and cleaned (also, keep in mind that beach is not private, as per Colombian law, all beaches are of public access). You will have the options to go an explore other beaches and natural parks in the Tayrona area and la Sierra Nevada (it is highly recommended to use the tours offered by Zuana). Surely, we will coming back to Zuana."
"Most employees are really nice, greeting you from ”my corazon” . Service is at the heart of the brand. Installations are in good shape, kitchens need to be updated. As sthe title suggest food is not up to the quality of service. We ordered ”filete de grouper” one day and ”picada de robalo” next day. Filete was too salty with no seasoning at all, texture was more like basa, which is the cheapest you can find. Picada was really disapointing, announced like ”1.000 grams of robalo” is one of the worst fish we have ever eaten, like filete, no season or marination at all. The whole fish was divided in ike 5 pieces +head and tail. The result was the driest fish you could eat. This kitchen needs more love and profesionalism, chefs that really care for the customers and the food they are working with. Quality- price ratio is so low that I do not want to give a figure."

This is NOT A MARRIOT. Very far from the standards of a Marriot. They subject their guests to stay at their hotel even if they know their water system is polluted with HAZARDOUS WATER, they will not even disclose this to guests checking in at the time. We think there had been a problem on our first day as the toilet water started becoming light brown. On our second day (see photos) the water everywhere had gone COMPLETELY DARK BROWN, this happened on a morning before we are picked up for a full day tour. Sent a message at noon and they said issue was fixed but We came back at 6PM it was still the same….they transfered us from a high floor to a low floor—- water was still BROWN!!!! THEIR FINAL SOLUTION? Either you wait the next day that the water is fixed or…. You shower and use the toilet at their ground floor. WHAT??!! They refuse to compensate nor refund the night. Staff does not speak well in English too. NEVER STAY HERE!!!!

Very nice hotel and location next to the Cathedral. Close to the ocean (3 minutes walk) and the central restraunt streets. Has an elevator. Great rooftop pool and views with bar/restaurant. Same day laundry service for 12,000 ($4) per kilo. Excellent buffet breakfast. This hotel also offers free parking on 2nd floor (car takes an elevator to get there!). Our only complaint was no hot water. In a nice hotel, really? Would stay again if they solve the hot water problem.

Just spent one night in the presidential suite before heading out of the country. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amazing location of this hotel. Eliana was a wonderful, warm presence at check-in and Jesus was amazing as well. He made us feel like family. This establishment gives you privacy of a hotel with the warm feel of a bed and breakfast. If you're looking to splurge on the presidential suite, you'll enjoy an awesome room and with amazing views of the city. We stayed on a Saturday night and I slept very well even with all the partying nearby. My partner didn't sleep as well, but he is a super light sleeper. Great hotel!

I was 4 days in this hotel and it was wonderful our experience, we used all the facilities of the hotel, including the river that passes through it, wonderful! The only thing that could improve the hotel is the restaurant, the letter has few options and those that are not all available, that was the only thing that was not so pleasant but there is no complaint, I would certainly again spend a while in a relaxing family in the middle of nature.

The resort was located on a nice Caribbean beach front where we met some of the local vendors who were very friendly and respectful, We enjoyed our stay at GHL Relax Hotel Costa Azul and are grateful to the staff who attended to our needs. Special mention to the Reception staff including Valena who was very helpful. We also want to thank the restaurant staff for their friendly and professional service and kudos to the Band who performed 4 nights at the restaurant. We enjoyed the music and the interaction. We would recommend Costa Azul for a cool getaway.

A new hotel with many excellent things, attention is smerted and very friendly, make you feel at home, help you with recommendations for your stay and are very careful to the requests. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. There is nearby and very cheap public transport, good places to eat just a few steps, night plans and almost everything you can need is very close. It is a old hotel-reformed casino, don't wait for the luxuries of a great hotel but what you get for your payment is more than you usually get in Santa Marta .
