"Ana Mandara is just beautiful. Peaceful, spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. Hosts Jennell and Leo are so warm and welcoming it was like a reunion with old friends. Leo prepared a truly delicious breakfast and wonderful seafood dinner. The waterfront location is a beautiful backdrop to a beautiful property, even the sunsets are spectacular. We would definitely recommend a stay at Ana Mandara and hope to return in the future. Greg and Vicki" "Janelle & Leo went above expectations. We arrived late & Leo cooked us a lovely Dinner was Perfect . Would Highly Recommend this Beautiful Accommodation, was a Home away from Home . The Room we were in was Spotlessly clean , Janelle & Leo are Excellent Hosts ." "We were so pleasantly thrilled with Ana Mandara. The location, the hosts, the food and the perfect presentation of the rooms. The hot tub was an additional and unexpected delight. "My mother and I stayed in apartment 322 for a 3 night stay. We both rated the whole experience very highly! The apartment was very well equipped and the 2 bathrooms was a great bonus. There was a washing machine and dryer in the second bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment and a dishwasher. The couch was roomy and the TV was huge with lots of FOXTEL channels. The balcony was huge with a full dining table and also outdoor lounge. We felt very fancy eating our breakfast and dinner out there and we could see the ocean if standing up! It was great to be able to park undercover under the complex as it was easy walking distance to the shops. Reception was closed when we arrived, but they sent me a text message to explain how to get the keys, which was a well explained and easy process. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely return on our next trip to Port Macquarie!" "We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with private rooftop area. The apartment is old but was clean and comfortable. Carpet and walls/doors had plenty of marks which showed its age. Bring your own toiletries as you get the bare minimum. Huge rooftop area was a big bonus. Good to bring food home and eat meals there instead of in restaurants. 10min walk to restaurants and beach. The apartment did have beach views but is not beach front. Pool was fantastic, our kids had a lot of fun. Reception was closed most of the time we were there (Easter weekend). I would say this is more a 3 to 3.5 star rated. Tiny bins in the apartment, needs to be improved. Would be good to get some basic toiletries (hand wash, tissues etc). Very expensive over the long weekend. Would recommend at lower rate." "The room was large and I could see the sea. The facilities in the room were a bit old but still clean, but the floor and oven in the bathroom, the cooker hood were a bit dirty, and I didn't want to test it. . . . . Overall, the service is also very good, the parking lot is free, the original 216 Australian dollars on Ctrip has deducted 350 Australian dollars, but told the front desk that he will help me back, Ctrip customer service is also very good, help me always ask the agent More deducted amount, thank you 👍👍"

"The three-storey double-family villa has three bedrooms, five people have two bedrooms, and one has been locked. I lived in this American wooden cottage for the first time. There were more Chinese people living in the house, and they met two other Chinese people that night." "The house made me amazing. I really didn't expect this price to live in such a house. The house is clean and the kitchen supplies are all available." "Great hotel, very close to the beach, we also made the first dinner in Australia in the villa, it felt very good"

"The breakfast is average and there are not many varieties, but the scenery outside the window is too beautiful, which can completely make up for the lack of food. The hotel service is very good, although it is an old hotel, but the facilities are good, it is worth staying a few more days" "The hotel is well-regulated, the old hotel, the location is very good, close to the beach, walking, sports are very convenient; facilities are slightly older, but overall ok; in comparison, the price is slightly higher." "Can recommend, location. Service, all very good"

"What a great apartment this was! Perfect location so central to everything. We were most impressed with the set up of the family apartment we got as it was essentially 2 separate apartments joined as 1 , so we were fairly separate to the kids & had a bathroom each. Some other positives were that they also provided hot chocolate sachets & biscuits which were a hit with the kids & free parking. The negatives were that the room curtains weren't totally blockout & the lights from outside lit the rooms up a lot & the noise from traffic in the street was fairly loud. But we will definitely be back to stay here again, hopefully in the same room 😀 " "Excellent location. Can leave car parked & walk easily to a beach & to town. My main gripe is that the apartment we stayed in was listed as 1 bedroom apartment but it’s not. It’s basically an open plan set up with a curtain to block bed from lounge area. That’s not a bedroom really & description on website is misleading. Also the apartment is badly in need of upgrading. Lots of visible wear & tear. & there’s no wall separating bathroom & bedroom. The toilet & shower are separate but sink & spa bath is open to bed area. Very dated. The whole complex is badly in need of upgrading." "I don't know why I checked out because I said that we have 100 knives when we have garbage. Is this family hotel cleaning up and checking out?"

"The door is the beach, with towering trees, it feels good! The underground car park is also very convenient. The service staff is very kind, the kitchen utensils are all available, very good experience!" "The location is great, opposite the beach and there is a dedicated underground car park. There is a restaurant 200 meters away, which is said to be the best restaurant in Port Macquarie." "The facilities in the hotel room are very old, the staff will leave work at 7 o'clock, it is troublesome for the late guests to apply for the job, the price is very low, not worth the price, the room is small, and the sanitation is average"

"It is very close to the sea and it is convenient to eat around. I booked a standard room and arranged a room with a sea view. The hotel staff is very welcoming. I went to the bathroom and watched me wash my hands. Give me a quick towel." "Great, the environment is close to the sea, very satisfied" "Free parking lot"

Over the last few months I have stayed here about 6 times in rooms 328,329 or 331. Each room is very well presented, clean with very comfortable beds. The toaster and jug made breakfast easy and quick. The outdoor veranda with table and chairs and grass area makes everything very pleasant. Rooms are always clean and well maintained. Julie and her team are excellent, always helpful and nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend Macquarie Barracks

very clean hotel that will afford you a complimentary upgrade if they can under cover parking also settlements shopping Centre is nearby which has, K Mart, big W too may specialty shops to mention, the Panthers club is great for a meal. breakfast at the mercure is sensational
The hotel location is good, the facilities are complete, clean and tidy, and the rooms are large. Google Maps seems to be set too inaccurately. The navigation suddenly ran to a barren place. Fortunately, I finally found it. Departing from Sydney, it was late, and it was already midnight. We greeted the front desk in advance and said that we would arrive later. The front desk said that it was okay to leave the room door unlocked and put the keys on the table in the store. When I went to the room, the door was locked, and I went to find the front desk staff (not the person who answered my phone during the day was a Chinese man). He was already asleep. When I woke him up, he was very upset and scolded him to find The key, even said, "This is not China, we do not accept overnight stays, and leave before 10 am".
My fellow citizens, we should feel lucky to meet Chinese people in other countries. Foreigners respect us Chinese people, but Chinese people bully Chinese people instead. Then go to Macquarie, Australia to bypass this shop. The feeling of being insulted by foreign Chinese is really uncomfortable.

My family and I stayed in room 3 and there was mold on the curtains, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and if there was it didn't work. The AC filters were filthy, the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows flat. There were also dirt marks on the sheets. When I called up to potentially change the date of our stay the lady I spoke to was not nice, she hung up on me when I was still talking. Paid $196 for 1 night and was a waste of money, could have been much more luxurious at the same cost somewhere else. Good things: Convenient location close to everything, great (free) of street parking.
Really a lovely place to stay. The owners are genuinely friendly, and hands on to the point where you’ll feel safe and looked after. Having suffered in too many Detol filled, small & smelly cabins while traveling with pets…this little motel is a breath of fresh air! Lots of thoughtful touches in the bathroom and kitchen. Yes… its clean! Very close to Port Macquarie shopping and CBD.
I booked one night for this accommodation for 3 people in February 2022. Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to change of plans, I booked using booking.com under free cancellation. Despite sending them my details of 2 credit cards to receive my refund and several emails they have yet to refund my money. I explained I live in Scotland and it is not practical for me to phone Australia and is expensive. I have now had no option other than to phone them and now wait on a reply by email. I feel very disappointed this is the way you treat your customers. I thought it might be best if I put this on as review and to warn other potential customers, you might have problems to be refunded if you have to cancel. Perhaps i also might get a reply and be refunded my money now from management. If my card worked for you to receive my payment in the first place then I find it very strange there is now an error with it. You also stated on last email on the 20th April, you needed to go to the bank about this, I'm still waiting on reply from you.
