I feel that the room is not as comfortable as the Trump's opposite, and the soundproofing is not good. It is a bit noisy at night, but the hotel's service is particularly good!

Can only say that the location of the hotel is very good, on the gorgeous mile head, next to the Water tower place, downstairs is the Canon goose and other monopoly, walk to the famous, beautiful Lake Michigan, 4, 5 minutes, go to the 360 Chicago Building Just 2 minutes, and the favorite Chicago Art Museum! Chicago travel is a great choice, breakfast is a standard American breakfast! They are all single-pointed. Looking for a good season to go to Chicago, will choose this hotel, it is best to choose a lake view room!

We were so pleasantly surprised with the ease and quality of room service, our room upgrade, the location of the hotel, and the warmth of all the staff. The renovation is top notch and makes the hotel very inviting. We’ve stayed at quite a lot of the top hotels in Chicago, but this will now remain our favorite.

I stayed with my mother-in-law for mother's day this May. I heard so many good things about this hotel brand but never had a chance to try. Everything was gorgeous and luxurious except for the swimming pool. I loved the decorations of the hotel lobby. Looked so much high class just like I expected from The Ritz-Carlton. This was my first stay at The Ritz-Carlton hotel and I really enjoyed it. I got 20% off from the restaurant due to my platinum status. Food was delicious and price was reasonable but I wouldn't say it blew my mind. Gym was very spacious with lots of equipment. Some areas even have lake view. Pool was okay size with lanes but didn't feel luxurious pool at all. I couldn't get room upgrade to lake view but they gave me room #1902 and it had both city and lake view. The receptionist said that they do not count under 20th floor as lake view but my room had a fantastic lake view. You will need to ask them to give you 19th floor room facing lake so you could enjoy both city and lake view. I highly recommend this room if you want luxurious staycation. This was my first stay at The Ritz-Carlton but certainly will not be the last one!

This is why I’m a Ritz girl! My first visit to the Chicago Ritz was in December 1983 during a blizzard. After a horrific day of travel my father insisted that we stay there. The Ritz is still my favorite refuge. It’s spiffed up its appearance since my last stay in 2013. The lobby’s fountain is gone but the hotel’s opulence remains. I especially liked the redesign of the rooms. Mine had a chaise lounge perfect for taking in a great view of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s skyline. How I love a Ritz bathroom; double vanity, soaking tub and a walk-in shower all in white marble. The bathrooms felt in a little boxy in 2013. My only gripe was that there were no samples to bring home. The staff did an amazing job making you feel taken care of especially at the bar and restaurant. The front desk could have been a smidge more accommodating and friendly. Prior to booking I read a review criticizing the hotel for their affiliation with Equinox. The reviewer said they woke up to bar bells being dropped on their ceiling. The only Equinox on Michigan Avenue is several blocks away from the hotel. I’m looking forward to my next stay at this wonderful place.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at WA-Chicago and this is our first time staying at WA in the United States. Last WA stay was in Thailand where the experience was superb! Reservation was easy via the app and the concierge emailed me a week in advance asking if there was anything they can do to prepare of our stay. I had a terrible experience with a Hilton hotel in Las Vegas in Dec 2022 where a stranger opened my hotel door at 11:20 pm. I am still experiencing PTSD so I asked if the concierge can provide anything lavender (scent/oil) so I can be relaxed. Also, since it's our wedding anniversary, perhaps anything in that theme would be nice. First the concierge addressed me as Mr instead of Mrs. Unsure why one automatically thinks that it's the man who made the hotel booking. Second, the concierge wasn't able to meet my requests which was non-issue. We declined turn-down service but requested chocolate where they were never delivered during our stay. A robe was missing in the closet and room service delivered it immediately. There wasn't any coffee or tea in the room but the dining service delivered my hot tea in 30 minutes which was acceptable. The bed was comfortable but sound insulation wasn't great since we could hear neighbors' chatting at midnight. We used the steam/sauna for 30 minutes before checking out and the spa was a nice facility. The hotel is nicely located in the Gold Coast area where it is closed to many lovely restaurants. The reception area is kind of small and there were 2 guest service staffs assisting with check-in/out.

The location can't be faulted, not on Michigan Avenue, but right next to the Avenue. Surrounded by shopping malls and luxury stores. Shopping and eating are very convenient. The girl has reserved dinner on the 65th floor of the John Hancock Building 6 minutes on foot. The environment and sanitation are the standards that old hotels should have. The rooms are very large Both shower and bathtub Washstand Double Desk Especially to praise the housekeeping We stayed for two days, so the toiletries and cosmetics were randomly placed on the sink, and the service staff helped to arrange them neatly one by one, and put white napkins under them Even the charging cord is rolled up neatly

The hotel is very good and the environment is very good, but it is a road 500 meters ahead. The bottom of the bridge is full of homeless people. I want to walk to buy chick fli a at night. I almost scared to death. Navigation leads us into this black tunnel. It is recommended to take a taxi at night.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Millennium Park and the magnificent mile, and it is only a five to ten minute walk away. The hotel’s price/performance ratio is relatively high. One unsatisfactory point is that the hot water was turned off one afternoon, and there was basically no hot water the next morning.

We wanted to love this hotel. It’s the 2nd time we stayed here. But there are LOTS of rules. If you buy champagne in the lobby from the Moët & Chandon vending machine (which is awesome), you can’t sit at the bar and drink it. You can only sit in the lobby. The outdoor rooftop terrace never seems to be open - even though that’s one of the main reasons we picked this hotel. The hotel claims it is new but the rooms clearly show it was a different hotel before. Yes they changed the furnishings but the doors, baseboards, and door frames are old and bashed up. We expected a lot more from a Marriott Autograph Collection.
- Guest User
The rooms are super clean, and the location is right by everything, from bars, restaurants, the river walk. Also, the hotel staff was phenomenal. We need help with a friend and they assisted us without any complaints, and told us to reach out if we needed anything else.

I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it. Then, foods are delicious and some of them are amazing. Most important reason is that the bed is so big and soft that I don't want to get up every morning. It's wonderful here. I can't believe it that I must leave. I want to live here again if I come to this city again.Thank you.Sincerely yours a guest.

The hotel environment is clean and tidy, the room layout is perfect, elegant without losing sentiment, and the service is thoughtful, making people extremely comfortable. It creates a sense of home for me. No matter how big or small it is, it is impeccable and the price is reasonable.

The small fridge in the room automatically shuts off after 2 hrs and doesn't stay at a safe temperature to store breast milk. The front desk advised to just use an ice bucket. This is problematic because (1) you will have to continually refill the ice bucket and (2) there is limited capacity. After an escalation to the manager, they offered to hold my milk behind the front desk in their fridge. I am not comfortable with that ”solution” nor do I want to go back and forth to the front desk for my baby's bottles and milk storage. He advised they previously provided medical fridges but they currently do not do so. I am so beyond disappointed. I expected so much more from this brand and now have to figure out something to do with my milk for my exclusively breast fed baby. Ugh, don't they have mother's stay at this property!? Marriott, do better!

The hotel is very luxurious, you have to give tips everywhere, but the tipping service is very good. Different from other hotels, I think the Trump Hotel is four meters high. I live on the 27th floor and can overlook most of Chicago. I strongly recommend staying in a river view room type!

I was here for a business meeting so I did not get a chance to do any sight seeing, but the hotel is in a great location and easy to get to from the airport. My room was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. The food was very good and so was their coffee. But best of all were the team members who work here. Everyone was extremely nice and knowledgeable and gave me some good tips when I had questions (ex.: like what time to leave the hotel to catch my flight back). I would stay here again for vacation or business!!

1. Didn’t asked for accesible room, but that’s what I got. 2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you can’t turn it on because literally you won’t sleep. 3. Shower had someone’s else hairs in the shower wall, gross. - Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects. - Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself. -If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position. Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service. Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare. Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated. I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience. Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.

Location is quite good as it is within walking distance of local mass transit systems, shopping, eateries, and attractions. The location is also close enough to Grant Park that you could start a run and make it to the park very quickly to continue on for a few miles. Even based on location alone, I would return to this hotel. As others had mentioned, there is a refillable water bottle station by the elevators (empty bottles also provided), which is a great feature. The elevator had a weird quirk where it would overshoot the desired floor when going up (remedy the situation by pressing the button again to send the elevator down to the desired floor). If you do some research into the hotel and its reviews prior to booking there shouldn't really be any surprises. I went into the stay having some idea of what to expect and that helped me enjoy my stay. There is no mini-fridge in the standard room, which is also on the small side but perfectly fine if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel. The only seating in the hotel room was the desk chair. Some of the furnishings could use updating but the bed felt itself was great and the room was clean. I couldn't find any in-room controls for the temperature, but I did not have a problem with this; it's just something to be aware of. The bathroom was clean and utilitarian but towels and toiletries were provided. Updated charging station/hub/clock (both USB A and USB C) for both the desk and the nightstand would go a long way. This hotel is one tenant of a building that was built in the early 1900s. If you've ever lived in a building from around that time, you get used to some things being a little bit older and quirky. Since my priorities were having a great location for a reasonable price (compared to the nearby competition) that was also clean, accessible by mass transit, and had access to an eatery, this was a good stay for me.

This hotel is a far cry from the one advertised on the website. It needs a deep clean, making for a only bearable stay if you're never planning on being in the room aside from sleeping. However, the beds are not comfortable so I can't say sleep was easy come by either. Definitely bring shower shoes to wear - no bare feet on that carpet! The front desk staff do a good job selling you on downloading the hotel app, but do not be duped into thinking you might get a free night after gaining the right number of points via the app. You only get this if you make a whole new booking with a special rate from the company. This is not what the front desk clerk told me when I checked-in and I wouldn't have bothered joining if I'd been told the truth, as I never plan on staying at this hotel or with this chain again. (I wonder why I was told a falsehood...!) While the location is great, I'm not sure it's worth the money to stay here. I'd rather have paid more for a nicer experience, or booked father afield for a cleaner more pleasant hotel.

The location is excellent, located on the edge of the Chicago River, the subway station is downstairs, and the city view of some high-rise floors is very shocking. The hygiene is impeccable and the housekeeping service is meticulous. The fly in the ointment is that the hotel is relatively stingy, and there is no gift in the room. You have to ask the front desk for drinking water. The swimming pool is a little small and the gym is a little old.

We attended the Chicago International Miniature show at the nearby Marriott O'Hare. Because that hotel was full, we booked the Springhill Suites. They ran a shuttle to the other hotel with a super nice front desk staffer driving. The hotel itself was fine and the free breakfast was above average. Parking was on long surface lots on both ends of the hotel, but there is also an underground garage. The onsite Outback steakhouse was a plus. Rooms were good, nice and quiet despite being near airport and freeway with a microwave and small fridge

The Chicago Hotel Collection Magnificent Mile The cleaning rules and service is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. You have to request room service I requested room service a day before as the policy says and they still don’t clean the room towels were not switched out the garbage was not disposed of. I complained for a second time at the front desk with the two young ladies and now she wants to argue with me. Then the argument turned into negotiations on what gets cleaned and what does not. She says “we can replace the towels and remove the trash but we can’t make up the bed” (SMDH) I can’t make this Chit up I think it’s horrible that I have to negotiate with the front desk about getting my room cleaned, hotels are supposed to clean the room regardless whether you ask for them or not that’s common courtesy but this place does not. It became a negotiation tactic this should not even be a conversation as hotels are supposed to clean your room daily. The Wifi is shotty at best. Logging on to Wi-Fi seems to be a very difficult challenge as once you connect to the Wi-Fi in your settings then you have to go to your web browser and log in a code and that doesn’t happen. Finally, after about 10 attempts the web login page pulled up. Their Wi-Fi system does not allow your connected device to stay on you have to re-login every time you shut down your device therefore you have the same problem all over again also I found it harder to connect at late night hours as opposed to the morning and I’m not sure if they’re cutting off the Wi-Fi the other problem that I had was it would connect to one device and not the other. I can’t recommend this place at all if you’re looking for good service the hotel room is nice but that’s where it ends. This hotel lacks good service or good customer service at the front desk, they just keep repeating “sir it's policy” to do this, certain policy to do that and if that’s their policy with Customer service and how they handle a problem or three customers it’s not a hotel I suggest anyone going to, especially for the high dollar amount per night I do not recommend this hotel at all.

This must have been at least our 5th stay at this hotel. The location works, the pricing works and the people are wonderful. The front desk people recognize my Marriott Bonvoy status and give us a very nice room. The Chicagoan lobby bar has attentive bartenders that will serve many other drinks not on the cocktail list. Cafe Maxwell, the club lounge, has drinks always available in coolers, and a morning hot breakfast. Our special thanks to Victor, who took care of our needs so well. The elevator service is very quick. The room and bathroom were clean. I cannot comment about housekeeping because our 3 night stay that was first a free night followed by 2 paid nights (on 2 reservations), meant no service.

Swissotel is awesome! The service was great and friendly staff. I especially appreciated Kia that works at the hotel. I was celebrating my birthday and she had something special sent to my room (a card and a fruit tray). She made my day - Thank you Kia! I would most definitely recommend this hotel! The amenities are amazing and the view is the best! I saw reviews stating there are no robes and no one came to clean and I can definitely disagree. There was a robe in the front closet and not only did someone come to clean but they provided us with warm towels! Best service and friendly staff!

The hotel is in a great location! Close to main attractions and lots of restaurants! Main staff was not very friendly. Hotel is beautiful when you enter. Rooms are very old and need updating. The toilet in my bathroom had a corroded tank and a broken lever. That was a bit frustrating. Bed was very hard!! Room was very cold! Only one thermostat for the entire hotel. There is no individual thermostat in each room. Had to ask for extra blankets. They did provide that for me. The fitness room is very nice! Every thing you need to have a really good workout! They indicated they are in the process of renovating rooms. They’ve just not completed that project yet. I would stay there again if the price was right. Hopefully next time I’ll get an updated room!
