I got the suite with the pool, it does not look like the photos. I had a pretty high traffic area where my pool faced, and there’s loud music at the restaurant next door, last thing I wanted when I was hoping for isolation after 8 weeks of rough work on the road. A door was missing in my bedroom and maintenance had to come reinstall it on my second day. Spa never had an availability during my stay, and buggies are required to go anywhere in the park (unless roaming in the heat is your thing). The service was slow at times (I’d often come back to my room and see room service plates stacked outside for a later cleanup) - but my room was meticulously cleaned each day and the buggy staff were incredibly friendly.

Thank you, to Ritz and nice manager(I can’t remember his exact name, but he seems to be upper manager). We happened something first day at Ritz and a little bit surprised, but Ritz cared us sincerly. Thank your warm heart, sir.! We enjoyed great time at Ritz. :)

This sea view villa is really nice! The environment is particularly beautiful and the view of the sea is amazing. Every morning when I wake up and see the beautiful scenery outside the window, my mood improves. The infinity pool is really cool and my friends and I had a great time. The service team is also great and can provide Chinese service. The staff are very enthusiastic and helped us solve many minor problems. The food in the villa is also excellent. The seafood for dinner is particularly fresh, and there are many varieties for breakfast. It is very satisfying. All in all, this vacation experience was really great!

This vacation experience in the sea view villa was truly unforgettable. The villa has a unique design that combines modern and natural elements in a peaceful and beautiful environment. The infinity swimming pool is intoxicating, and the service team is professional and enthusiastic, especially the butler's service is meticulous and can provide Chinese service. Food is also a highlight, with dinner and breakfast prepared in sumptuous and varied flavors. This trip not only relaxed our body and mind, but also left a deep impression. We look forward to having the opportunity to visit again in the future.

The Conrad Koh Samui was hailed by many netizens as one of the crown jewels in Hilton's Asia Pacific hotel portfolio and having experienced it, I would proudly say the same too. I would even rate this as the best hotel experience I've had in recent years with full marks given to the hospitality of the staff, amazing views and great rooms. My wife and I had the best time during our 3D2N recent trip to Conrad Koh Samui where we booked a villa for 2 pax. The hotel is situated at an amazing location with legendary views of the sea and sunset from your own villa, which has a private infinity pool for us to lounge around. Despite it's age, the villa is maintained in a great condition and recent refurbishments which I understood took place during the COVID19 years further enhanced our experience of staying at the Conrad Koh Samui. Most of all, what made our stay so great was the hospitality of the staff on site. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to Jack Huang (Assistant Guest Relations Manager), who reached out to us via email prior to our arrival and kept in touch with us via whatsapp (almost on a 24 hrs basis) to ensure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. He made my wife and I feel welcomed from the first minute we stepped onto the resort, addressing us by our names each time he sees us, making us feel like we are old friends of his. Even after we have left, he made arrangements to mail us an item which we left behind at the hotel despite his busy schedule. We are highly appreciative of him and his team for taking such good care of us during our stay and their hospitality is definitely one of the reasons why our stay is highly memorable! If you are looking for a place to unwind, I would definitely recommend staying a few days at the Conrad Koh Samui!

This is the best resort I've ever stayed at for relaxation. Was at Ritz Carlton Maldives last year and I enjoyed Conrad Koh Samui more. We were at another resort and was not happy so booked Conrad last minute which was the best decision that trip. Stayed in the Premium Ocean View room 218. The location of this room type (213-223) was perfect. It was a flat walk to Zest where we had breakfast and dinner. It was also an easy walk up and down to Azure where we had lunch and also the beach which we enjoyed every day. We only used buggies 2 times when we arrived and departed. The beach was small but nice. The resort was full but we hardly saw other guests at the beach. Gym was very well equiped and free weights go up to 25kg. Every single staff was lovely. One reason I did not like Ritz Maldives was a few staff there made us feel uncomfortable trying hard to get us to buy resort activities but here the staff didn't bother us at all. They were really nice, friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to try Jahn but food at Azure, Zest and room service was great. Room service did not take long. I wish there were more restaurants/food choices though. We bought some food and snack in town at Tesco before coming here. Bought wine from Winepro nearby and there was also Wine connection in the same area. Good wine at the resort was expensive. We enjoyed Pomerol there (around 5000THB) while watching Sunset from the room. 3 days was not enough. I think you need at least 5. We already booked Conrad for our next trip in January 24. Can't wait to visit Contad Koh Samui again.

The W in Koh Samui was very very nice. Definitely would come back. We treated ourselves and booked a private villa with a pool, this was a great choice. The room was amazing. We loved it and being able to chill in our room as we had a pool there was pretty perfect. We had a beautiful view of the tree line and ocean from our room. It really was lovely and just what we needed after not being able to travel for a few years due to COVID. The food and drinks in the resort was all good at any time of the day. Service was wonderful and anything was not too much trouble. Fave time of the day was in the morning as the buffet breakfast was top notch. Note, we travelled in Dec 2020-Jan 2021 (but couldn’t choose this date option).

Wow. Ok, where to start? I read a LOT of TripAdvisor reviews when planning a trip, and understand that reviews are often a result of the expectations one sets for themselves when anticipating a trip/vacation. That said, while most of the reviews of this property are 5-Star, after researching the property, my own expectations were simply premium accommodations, a quiet retreat-like atmosphere, and a good restaurant. What my wife and I experienced was a full-on 5 (6 if the scale were higher) star resort in every sense. If you are looking for a peaceful, discrete and rejuvenating retreat complete with outstanding and prompt personalized service all in a lush natural tropical setting with supreme ocean views, then look no further, Banyan Tree Samui is it. I could write at length about our experience here, but I know you have a lot of reviews to read if you're like me. So here are most of the Highlights: 1. Fabulous accommodations - super comfortable bed/linens; separate bedroom/living/bath areas all with floor to ceiling windows offering spectacular sea views (IF you get the best villas). Walk-in shower w/large rectangular rain showerhead was brilliant. Pool was sparkling clean and allowed for ultimate cooling/relaxation in the warm temps all while taking in the incredible views. Additional outdoor seating area(s) for enjoying the outside. 2. Staff - Wonderful; THE epitome of hospitable. Super friendly, and always eager to immediately assist with even the smallest of requests. Dada (villa host), Golf, Lek (massage therapist), Jane, all serving staff and buggy drivers, even landscapers we passed throughout the grounds - ALL incredibly pleasant and eager to please. 3. Dining - Breakfast spread (hate to call it a buffet because that makes it sound tacky) was incredible. Multiple hot and cold options, western and Asian dishes, full baked goods/pastries selection, fresh fruits, cold cuts, fresh juices, multiple coffee options. Dinner at Saffron was outstanding. A few reviews have mentioned Saffron as being just average, but the food (including portion size), flavors, and as aforementioned, the servers were all terrific. Yes, it's more expensive than getting dinner at a local Thai joint in town (an obvious point made in another review), but you're at a 5-star resort with top-notch service and very special ambiance being pampered as a resort guest. But to give you an idea of ”expensive” (a very relative term): two appetizers, two soups, two entrees, and two desserts, plus non-alcoholic beverages - $105.00 US dollars. Any fine dining, high-end restaurant in a big city in the USA will cost you triple that. 4. The Spa should not be missed. Incredible massage treatments/experiences provided by very experienced and professional therapists all done in traditional Thai fashion. Wonderful. 5. Incidentals: The resort is mostly non-walkable meaning that you are either in your villa (but that's why you come here; your villa is an oasis) or at one of the

Best trip I’ve been in in Thailand, and I’m from here. The Banyan Tree team, from the Villa Host to Housekeeping, were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Thank you to P’ Abby, P’ Anna, and P’ Anne and Kru Nu, and Rueng too. We had a complimentary sailing lesson, yoga classes, and took a day trip to Pig Island all organized by the Banyan staff. They were incredibly accommodating to my partner’s dietary preferences as well. Very very very happy with our stay. 11/10 would recommend!

I read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i

It was decent experience staying there with family. Main focus of the villa was large pool which was excellent though not as private as we thought. Recently stayed at Centara for our honeymoon and it was indeed the best hotel we stayed in Koh Samui. Was greeted by Mr Neil and his staff during our check in. We had a really comfortable stay and staff were always ready to assist with any request. Love the idea of “surprise of the day” button in the room, where they deliver different types of chocolate each day. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. We went to salt society restaurant for two consecutive nights as they serve high quality food with big portions. It was also refreshing to try out so many salt flavors for our meal. Overall, my stay at Centara was nothing short of exceptional with their great hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent stay at this hotel. The staff make it all worthwhile in particular the staff at The Level Lounge - Selena, Banana, Eye, Bay, Makam just to name a few. They were so accommodating and ensured that we had vegetarian food for our group at every afternoon tea and evening cocktail. The pool area is great for families and has a large shallow area for babies to splash around in. Special mention to pool staff Bow who works his socks off to happily accommodate for every request. The pool access rooms are large, spacious and have everything you need although I believe they could be updated and modernised. Overall a fantastic stay and we really hope to be back soon

Chaweng Noi Koh Samui|2.51km from city center
Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

What an amazing hostel. Everything was beautiful. The lockers were the biggest lockers ever. It was literally 2 lockers put into one for those who had a suitcase yu r in luck. 2 pools and a beautiful bar overlooking out into the ocean. The only hostel that i need in koh samui. This is for a fact “the spot”. Whether youre backpacking and need a bunkbed or if u just want to get drinks or food. They got a huge selection of drinks and food. Amazing spot.

Location is highly strategic, cleanliness is excellent, and the rooftop infinity pool is breathtaking. But the best part of staying in Cosi is Khun Cartoons at front desk; she is one-of-a-kind, her smile, personality, and service spirit. are in different level. She deserves a promotion and a hefty raises. The hotel is very lucky to have her on the team. Definitely return to see her again.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 1 week, arrived from the Airport with no luggage as Bangkok airways lost it, checked in to the hotel and was met by a lovely member of staff who was waiting for me, she offered me a welcome drink on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long flight. After check in, was shown to my room which was a pool side deluxe room with Double bed and En-suite. Room was very clean, spacious and came with Fresh towels, Toiletries, a Mini fridge stocked with beers, satellite T.V, Aircon and some free drinks/snacks. My stay came with free breakfast every morning, which was very handy and the selection was always really nice. Lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs cooked to the way you wanted along with a choice of tea/coffee and fresh juices. Staff are soo friendly and welcoming, they clean your room everyday and provide fresh sheets and towels as well as toiletries. The Hotel is quite modern and staff had decorated the reception for Chinese New Year with lanterns and fairy lights. The position of the hotel is good, about 10 min drive in a taxi to Fisherman's village, which is full of bars/restaurants and shops. The hotel is also right on the beach, so you have the option to swim in the sea or the pool and look out onto the amazing views. I loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend! (Only negative thing I can think of is that the Pool Bar was never open, so it would be good to see this open in the future).

The lobby was spectacular. We arrived at night but it still can tell that the hotel was clean and large. The employees were friendly and they always had wore a big smile on their faces. The room was clean and tidy, which had a big open shower space. Taking a shower with air conditioner was a little chilly but it was totally tolerable because the whether was so hot outside. Swimming pool was stunning with a wide view of ocean. It was pity that we cannot arrive sooner to enjoy the sunset in the pool. We will definitely consider staying more days at Hansar next time.😄

We stayed in a King Pool View room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Amaya Restaurant was excellent. There were many options for breakfast and the meals were great. Prego Italian Restaurant was exceptional, both in terms of food and service. Couldn't fault any of the Amari staff. Fantastic service and friendly smiles from everyone including Management, Reception, Restaurant staff, Spa staff, Road Crossing staff, Maintenance and Housekeeping. Special mentions go to the lovely hosts Wee and Keng who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed to know. Also Noung who we nicknamed ”the hardest working man in Thailand”. He never stopped as he worked tirelessly in Amaya Restaurant and around the hotel grounds. The resort was a little away from the hustle and bustle but an easy walk into the centre of town. Would recommend Amari to anybody thinking of staying at Chaweng and look forward to returning there in the future.

I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. Thank you everyone at Mai Samui for a wonderful stay.
