"The AC Hotel by Marriott Raleigh Downtown was recently opened in 2021, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Raleigh. The hotel is located approximately 17km from Raleigh–Durham International Airport and 34km from Amtrak - Durham. Guests will find Room 5280, Krave and Sacred Heart Church just a short distance from the hotel. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Raleigh hotel provides parking on site. "

"The best thing about this hotel is its staff - many of whom I consider as friends. Robyn, Cy, Carie, Edie, Sandra, Jolie, Dekwan, and many others made my stay amazing. I stayed at this Hotel from mid-August 2021 until late October, and had a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the NCSU Bell Tower. The room had a separate area with bath and closet amenities, large counter, and a fridge. Jubala Coffee is located on the ground floor, and I was in and out all day for breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, snacks. Their bartenders are great fun, and the pool table in excellent condition. Cameron Village Shopping Center is a short walk, and the NCSU Campus across the street. It was a great balance of work and play. Can't wait to go back..."
"The best location to go to NC State. Most facilities such as the student center can be easily reached on foot or by shuttle bus. The hotel has a bar and coffee shop, as well as an excellent Mexican restaurant. A supermarket is less than 5 minutes away, and there is a subway restaurant and a shopping mall nearby."
"It is close to North Carolina State University and only 20 minutes drive from the city. The hotel facilities are very new and convenient to travel. There are also many restaurants around, very good, and will stay again next time."

"I routinely stay at this property due to the outstanding service that I receive. I believe that the quality of my stay is a direct reflection of the quality of management. In this case, that proves (time and time again) to be true. All staff members that I have interfaced with (ranging from the front desk staff to the restaurant) have provided me with exceptional service, and I qualify that, in that I am a Marriott Titanium Rewards member, and definitely recognize exceptional service when I experience it. In terms of my initial statement, I have met the management of this facility on several occasions, and they have provide me with individualized attention -- down to the minor details! Service of this level inspires loyalty to the Marriott Brand by its customer base. Kudos to the Sheraton Raleigh! It's my "go-to" hotel!"

"The hotel is really nice - my room on the 8th floor was newly renovated, and decorated very nicely. Lots of space. I would have absolutely given 5 stars if it weren't for two things. First, the water pressure in the shower was so disappointing - barely a dribble, whereas most hotels have great water pressure in the shower. The second thing was, not having the ability to change the room temperature. I would guess that it was 72 or 73 degrees in the room, but I like to sleep with the temperature set at 67 or 68. The thermostat showed 60, but it was locked - no control over fan speed or temp setting. Otherwise, very nice facility - great indoor pool, nice gym, and very nice bar and restaurant area. The hotel is close to a very nice town center, with plenty of choices for restaurants. It's also a ten minute drive from the rental car return at the airport."

Staff at the bar downstairs for the complimentary happy hour was wonderful as was the breakfast staff at the huge breakfast offering. All in all it was a comfortable stay and we really enjoyed it."

"While on vacation in Raleigh, we decided to stay at the Residence Inn Crabtree valley. We have stayed here for short visits, but this was the first time we stayed for week. We are also Marriott Residence Inn fans since they allow larger pets, and we often travel with our golden retriever, so we have several other properties to compare with this hotel. The location is excellent being adjacent to the Crabtree Valley Mall with several shopping and food options, next to a bike/walking trail, and located adjacent to other hotels. Parking was ample and contained some covered parking which was helpful when it was raining. Plenty of hotel amenities but we only used the buffet breakfast and the guest laundry. Our main complaint was it appeared the hotel did not enforce the wearing of masks as vigilantly as other hotels...they had a handwritten white board which stated "please wear your mask." As a result, it seemed that we encountered more guests not wearing masks than at other hotels recently. Our other concern was that although their hot breakfast buffet options were more than other hotels, the guests were able to serve themselves. Since some of the guests serving themselves were not wearing masks or partially wearing them, this caused us not to get certain things on the buffet especially if the people who were in the buffet (just before us) were not wearing a mask and talking or even coughing. We thought that was a big miss on their part, even if the food was well prepared... All and all, we had a very positive stay except for the mask issue, which my wife tried to bring to their attention."
"Melia, the GM, made our pre-wedding planning weekend spectacular. She helped us with our reservations, was very flexible when we wanted to stay LONGER because of her and her staff and their customer focus. Melia was so positive and supportive. She sincerely cared about us as guests and was genuinely happy about our plans and our stay. She helped to get all of our rooms together and made us feel like valued guests. I highly recommend this hotel and kudos to Melia!"
"Comfortable, convenient, and priced-right, this Residence Inn is a great choice in Raleigh. While its decor is not trendy and up-to-date, the bed was very comfortable (which, I think, is more important) and our room was spacious. Better yet, it's close to the Crabtree Valley Mall, which offers a multitude of dining options. We stayed here recently, while Covid-related restrictions were still in place, and the breakfast buffet had been replaced with a pre-order system -- you must order your breakfast the night before you plan to eat it. We didn't do that, so I can't tell you how efficient the process is. But it's available. We were pleased enough with our experience that we plan to stay again. Recommend it!"

"Everyone was super nice this past weekend as we visited during our volleyball tournament. I want to give a nice shout-out to Amber in the lounge. She was such a sweet young lady and took care of all of our girls when they came back from a late night super hungry. She always had a smile on her face and never seemed flustered by the teenage chaos. Please pass this along to her Manager. Thanks!! Great job Amber!!"
"For the price of this stay, I think the hotel was very stale and old. I’m not sure if it’s been renovated much but the rooms could use a paint job and new furniture. L"
"Let’s start with the location. In fairness there are several hotels in this location, all with the same problem. When approaching from any direction but the west, you have to make a U- turn on Glenwood to access Arrow, the street the hotel is on. If you miss it you have to go a mile east, U-turn, and come back to try again. And if you leave the hotel and want to go west, where the shopping and dining are, same thing. TERRIBLE LOCATION. Room was okay but somewhat worn. The thermostat was missing from the wall, but thankfully the noisy air conditioner could be controlled from the unit. The room has a small TV and NO USB outlets. Also minimal electricity outlets. As for the breakfast, it was truly the worst I’ve ever been offered. Absolutely inedible. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby but it’s a single Keurig unit so be prepared to wait in line. Really, this place is terrible. "

My experience started when I took the wrong shuttle from the airport, which is easy to do when it just says "Hilton" on the back. I had a reservation at the Hilton by the airport and not the one at Raleigh North Hills. Once I realized my mistake on the way I thought no big deal of it and I'll just take the next shuttle back to the airport. After we arrived at Hilton Raleigh North Hills I asked the driver if we can go back to the airport (it takes 15 minutes and they run every 30 minutes). His attitude and demeanor changed instantly. He was really mad and said "I better get a good tip". I thought he was kidding at first but once we started back to the airport he said "that will be $40 to get you back". I told him that I refuse to pay him any money and to turn around so we can take an Uber. Back at the lobby I talked to the front desk and explained that we were just hit up for money by the driver. The apologized, said "we don't treat our guests that way", and offered another driver. They were unable to switch our reservation either which we would have been happy with. Already tired after a cancelled flight my wife and I just said we'll take an Uber to the other Hilton. On the way out I called the driver out, who was still fuming, and said that what he did was wrong. He came from behind the desk very aggressively in front of everyone in the lobby and was inches away from my face yelling "I DIDN'T DO YOU ANY TYPE OF WAY" still trying to justify extorting guests for money. After this situation we called the Hilton Raleigh North Hills again and the front desk attendants were so shaken up by the experience that they urged us to contact the General Manager Jordan. Jordan was apologetic and offered points on my account which we agreed to. However, only 10,000 points came in, which real monetary value is $50...only $10 more than the driver tried to stick us up for. This whole situation left me wondering what ever happened to Hilton. It felt like a Motel 6 having some thug threaten you for money and being compensated Hilton funny money points which will get you a room absolutely nowhere in America. Everything would have been fine if they just moved our reservation or drove us back without incident. Honestly I don't recommend this location and for me personally I don't think I'm booking with Hilton anywhere again.

We stayed there for a night and we loved it! The lady at the front desk was friendly, kind and funny! We shared a few laughs! The room was super big and it had everything! The King size bed was incredibly comfy and we rested and slept like babies. Breakfast was yummy. It had a lot of everything. Hot bacon, yummy potatoes, scrambled eggs, cereals, different types of bagels and bread, jams and cream cheese, waffles, fruit, juices, milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, coffee, tea… and Michelle was lovely! She kept cooking yummy food and asking everyone if there was anything we needed or wanted. Thank you Michelle!! The hotel has a heated pool but we tried going twice and it was packed with families and children so we couldn’t bother. Excellent location and free parking. Highly recommended!!!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was really nice, the front desk was really nice and sociable. My only thing is cleanliness. Normally I’d check a hotel bed before lying in it but I hadn’t this time. Before I left to checkout, I was looking around to make sure I had all of my belongs and I noticed that there was vomit smeared on the side of the bedding and a little bit on the wall and nightstand. It looked as if someone had started to clean it but had forgotten to get back to it. I meant to mention it to the front desk but I was in a bit of a rush to leave. Overall though, I did love my stay. It’s a very nice affordable hotel, I can tell it had been renovated.

Some things just go together well like Mac & Cheese, Christmas & Pine Trees, & the good vibes from the kind hotel workers feel the same. That's making me think of my email address about Gideons & tooth fairies: good housekeeping feels the same as a tooth fairy, & they do that well here. Good management & customer service feels the same as finding a Gideons Bible in hotel tables the same way a tooth fairy leaves a gift. Whether you're a devout religious worshipper or a thinker same as Penn Jillette thanking who gave him a Bible as a gift, the Gideons Bibles are a tradition that feels the same as a Christmas Pine to me: if it were not there the vibe of the hotel would seem as if it's missing an honest effort of keeping good senses around. Finding a Gideons Bible feels the same as everything else that goes together well, especially because Corinthians reminds me of an honest effort the of "The Golden Rule" & Good Customer Service senses: Corinthians says good customer service is "patient & kind", same as the saying "if you love your work then you will do great work". Glad everything goes together well at this hotel. Thanks.

Saying that I am extremely disappointed with my stay here is an understatement. I unfortunately had to deal with Mara (I was told she was the General manager) and I was left speechless over how terrible her customer service was. I needed to extend my stay by one night and before I could even finish my sentence she rudely interrupted me by saying “we don’t let anyone stay here for free and you’re with Expedia and we don’t deal with Expedia clients. If you wish to extend your stay you will have to call them.” I was shocked. Obviously, I knew I was going to have to pay. Let me also say, I never ask to stay for free but had she let me finish my sentence she would have known that I was not even asking for that. I went back to my room called Expedia extended my stay and went back to the front desk to let Mara know that I had extended my stay and I was returning to the front desk to make sure my keys would work another night. Mara responded with “oh, I thought you were going to make the reservation with us.” To which i responded with “you literally just told me you don’t deal with Expedia clients” to which Mara (the general manager) responded with “whatever”. This is only one of the issues I dealt with during my stay here and I am writing to let other people know if they enjoy terrible customer service to stay here. Whenever I would ask the other front desk person for help Mara would interrupt and she was not even part of the conversation. Hoping this review gets her (Mara, the general manager) some training and some manners.

My first night in the hotel, I had to change rooms because there was dried urine in my bed that was not clean from the stay before. Two days later I had to call maintenance to have them fill a hole in the ceiling that was allowing wasp to enter as there was a giant wasp nest outside the window. I had to kill a bunch of bugs and two wasps. Finally, I was woken up at 4 o’clock in the morning because there was a rat in my room. I have audio video of the rat moving behind the dresser, and pictures of rat manure and chewed up food under the fridge and behind the dresser. I moved out the room and booked a hotel with a different company. When i retuned to speak to the manager, after calling Hilton Honors Customer Service, she had an attitude with me stating her staff didn’t find anything and said “since you’ve already called customer service, there isn’t anything else to discuss.” I have never had this experience in any hotel before.
