The location is convenient, close to BART and in the center of town; the room is large and you can cook your own meals; there is free breakfast every day; but there is no service. Maybe in the United States, extra tips are required for services.

Located in the center of Berkeley with spacious room offering all new amenities for a complete kitchen, dining space and well decorated bedroom with high quality bedding linens. Excellent breakfast is another plus. I would definitely go back to this hotel!

Probably because the hotel group is Hong Kong people, the services and environment and facilities are in place. The rooms are spacious and have balconies. The view of the entire hotel is very beautiful and very private. It feels like living at home. The swimming pool is large, the hotel bar is very cool, and the standard of meals is also very high, as my son said: a place to eat a good hamburger! In short: the overall conditions are very good and the consumption is quite high, but I personally think it is worth the money.

The hotel is great, the rooms are big, but the location is a bit remote. Suitable for couples traveling. All the toiletries in the room are from le labo, the experience is very good. It can be delivered right away if you ask for a microwave in the middle of the night, very good service.

Great hotel. Very quaint and historic. Perfect if you like older style. Great rooms. Nice lobby. Breakfast was ok. Our room was getting new carpet after we left. Right across the street from the park. Very nice! Close to Whole Foods.

What a great experience! We had a fantastic, one night stay, at El Prado. Sara, told us, that she was putting us, in a beautiful, spacious, room. She was not kidding. We stayed in room 404, very quiet, super comfortable bed, and very spacious. Her coworker, at the front desk, told us our dinner reservation, at nearby, St. Michael, was a great choice, a wonderful restaurant. He was right. The El Prado, is a beautiful, quiet, centrally located hotel, with great staff, at the front desk! Thank you Sara, for the beautiful room!

I'm a pretty seasoned traveler and I have stayed at numerous properties and location but the service I received at this location was well beyond what I've experienced. Everyone was friendly and super attentive to any needs or request during my stay. The In-Room Dining and Concierge was exceptional making sure we had everything we needed and they were extremely helpful to make this an excellent trip for my fiancé birthday weekend. I will be staying at this location for any trips I have at SFO and this is coming from a loyal Hyatt member (Globalist Status to be exact)

Four Seasons at Embarcadero was simply not worthy of a five-stars hotel. I’ve even completed a survey at the end of our stay which not the general manager reached out instead the administrative assistant. After my message revealing it was a generic response from her, she ghosted right after. Do you think that warranted five-stars for ghosting a guest that just stayed at your property? No. Obviously they simply do not care, which was an utter shame. In addition to that, the check-in process was a complete mess (checking in twice on the same day), room wasn’t ready close to 5pm (despite being asked by their team a couple of days when we will be arriving) and customer service simply was not that of five-stars. Sure, the suite was lovely and so were the corner views but despite how well done those points were - without customer service and being organized and on top of your game, it didn’t warrant five stars at all for a Four Seasons property. For such a pretty penny, this felt like highway robbery.

Great stay at the FS as always. I must say that I was a little worried with all the recent press about SF and Market St in particular. I had not been to the city in years but I can report that the demise of SF has been greatly exaggerated. The FS as usual is a respite from the outside world. The beds are super comfy, the service is great, wonderful bar. The breakfast at MKT is pretty good, some items (corned beef hash) miss, but others (Migas) hit. Great value.

This hotel is a must stay in San Francisco. The staff is consistent and the hotel is always very clean and well maintained. I always feel safe, and supported by the hotel team when I stay here which is a plus for a single female traveler. This hotel always executes at a 5 star level. The rooms, the food, the housekeeping, the staff in general make the experience every time for me. Highly recommend a stay here.

My favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Gorgeous, clean, and a wonderful location. The restaurant was wonderful, and so was our server (Kayla I think?). Just a beautiful, enjoyable stay. My only wish is that it was more natural light in the room, but it’s the name of the game in city hotels. I am now a forever 1 Hotel convert. Also immediately bought a 70oz Santal candle in an effort to recreate the scent of the lobby in my home! I felt like I was in a spa the entire length of my stay. Run, don’t walk, to this hotel!

Got in from a cross country flight and immediately went to the spa. My massage therapist Achara was incredible - equal parts relaxing while also working out my kinks. Best scalp massage too. While the spa itself is small, it is still very luxurious. Highly recommend booking!

We’ve stayed several St.Regis and this was one of the best. Amazing service and fantastic views of the city in the heart of downtown. The service really stands out. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was fabulous to soaking. The staff was very professional and welcoming. We will be back someday.

Excellent hotel. Great rooms, service and location. Only complaints--few rooms have 1.5 bathrooms, they did a terrible job redecorating the lobby (it was so much nicer before), and the pool's renovation is still not finished after a lot of time. Still, overall, it's an excellent choice.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel. I booked a fairmont exterior king room with a view. The room itself was nice but what I really liked was the walk in wardrobe and luxurious marble bathroom with his and hers sinks. Breakfast at the hotel and dinner in the Tonga room was also really good. Customer Service was top dollar. The only criticisms I would have are that:- 1) There was only one functioning lift from the main foyer to hotel rooms, 2) upon checking in a hold fee of $100 per night is placed on your debit/ credit card (only returnable 5-7 days after departure) and 3) some of the meals were overpriced, I was charged approx $55 for a medium sized pizza and bottle of water on one night. Overall, enjoyed my stay and would return.

The room is large and the front desk service is very good. Due to language problems, communication is a bit inconvenient. The front desk directly asks colleagues who understand Chinese to help communicate. It is convenient to travel, but the meals in the executive lounge are too simple. There is almost no change in the breakfast and evening snacks for three days.

I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The bellhop was also quite nice and helpful when we checked-out and needed to store lugga

Location of the hotel is good. As told, left side of the hotel is more safe than the right side as there are not many homeless people on the left side. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.

The front desk staff (Ben & Daimler) greeted me with HUGE smiles after a long flight. They offered me a much needed quiet room and even upgraded me to a beautiful suite. Complimentary wine tasting was going on in the lobby with live music. My room was beautiful and very clean. After unpacking, I realized I forgot toothpaste. I went downstairs on my way to dinner and asked the front desk if they had any extras, they brought it to my room along with an extra toothbrush while I was gone (amazing!). Great location. Walkable to so many restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is in good location, just a few minutes walk away from the Fisherman’s Wharf. The room is clean and tidy, very good blackout from sunshine though the sound insulation is not very good. The service particularly the coffee, hot and ice water are served throughout the day. The breakfast is satisfactory with both hot and cold food is provided. The fruits proved are very fresh. Stayed two nights. The hotel is located near Union Square, and the location is very convenient. You can take tram as soon as you go out. There are many famous brand shops and shopping malls nearby. The location is superb. However, the content of the hotel may be a long time ago, except that it is very small and outdated. You absolutely don't dare to step on the slippers, and you ca n’t imagine the dirty. Other equipment can be clean, but for the convenience of transportation, it is also possible to endure a night or two.

It is very close to Union Square, the Municipal Square and the subway entrance. Take the subway directly to the airport. The transportation is convenient. I stayed here during a conference where the price was raised to $240/night. If the price had been quite a bit lower as it might normally be, I probably wouldn't complain much. The location is hard to beat in terms of proximity to Union Square and the Moscone Center, and the front desk staff was friendly. Other reviews have noted that the rooms are dated--and I found that to be true as well. But, my room was clean. The wifi worked, and the rooms were insulated from noise from adjoining rooms. However, there was hardly any noise isolation from the outside. I was on the 6th floor facing Geary Street, and I could hear just about everything going on well into the evening. The heat in my room was also not working until my last night there--and that combined with very thin covers left me pretty cold (though the bed itself was comfortable). When the heat did work, it made a strange noise reminiscent of a dying cat, so I ended up turning it off anyway. One tip for taller or larger travelers: I am 5' 2'', and the shower head was only 2 inches above my head. So if you're much taller than me, you'll be bending down to rinse your hair. You'll also find the bathroom overall to be quite small.
