A remarkable hotel, considering its age, it has aged very well, the Moroccan theme is charming, the setting on the Chobe River is idyllic, and obviously set in the Chobe Reserve. The wildlife is stunning. Enjoy the boat trips, the staff are very friendly. A super stay.

Chobe Game Lodge is idyllic. The staff are amazing- they are all happy and smiling and this makes for a lovely atmosphere. Rooms are very well equipped and have a/c and ceiling fans, huge comfortable beds and views through the trees to the Chobe river. The game drives are very well- organised - they even wake you up so that you don’t miss. Daily boat rides are arranged every day allowing you to get up close to crocodiles and hippos and so many birds. Dining is often à la carte but they also do barbecues and stir-fries. We were treated to some traditional African dancing which was lovely. Although it isn’t Karen Blixen’s Africa, it’s a lovely comfortable place to stay after a long safari.

My husband stewart and I spent time at the lodge and it changed us forever. Genuinely. From the amazing welcome, to walking into our room 002, really made our honeymoon , huge and beautiful and special right through to the end - it’s beyond incredible. All the staff are so professional and can’t do enough for you. Special thanks to Kenny for looking after us so attentively and offering truly wonderful food, and to Maggie for amazing game drives and river safaris. She is so knowledgable. We learned a lot and she made our experience just so so moving and incredible. So sad to leave and would love to come back. I don’t think there will be anymore special experience

Chobe Game Lodge is an exceptional location with a truly first class staff. I had the pleasure of starting my safari adventure at Chobe Game Lodge and was blessed with more animals than I could have ever dreamed to see, a fantastic staff of all female guides, and a luxurious and eco-friendly lodge. The room was beautiful when we arrived - rose petals on the bed and everything perfectly in place. The room was cleaned to perfection each day, with a turndown service that end each day in luxury - and with regional sweets! I slept like a baby and found the room to be comfortable, quiet, and a perfect place to retreat after a busy day. The whole lodge was gorgeous and every single member of the staff was delightful - they were attentive, friendly, and worked to personalize the experience for each guest. You will not be disappointed to visit here, especially if you have Ms. T as a guide or Precious as a server. I would highly recommend sneaking away to the onsite spa and getting a massage from Wendy. There is nothing better than being in paradise than a paradise with a world-class masseur! However, you are probably here because you want to see the animals and know about the safari. You are in luck - these tours start very early in the morning so that you catch all the animals moving toward water, waking from their day or getting ready to retreat from the heat of the sun. We saw so many elephants (including babies swimming across the Chobe River), baboons, crocodiles, hippopotamus, lionesses AND cubs, birds, and so much more. I think what sets this safari apart, though, is the all-female guiding staff. This team of women is experienced, knowledgable, engaged, friendly and highly ethical. They elevated this to a truly life changing experience. From navigating from sun up to sun down on land and then pivoting to try solar powered boats on the Chobe River for mid-day excursion, they truly can do everything. They really think of everything at the lodge - you are fed before your early morning out, treated to a sumptuous breakfast, lunch and tea time (a boon for this American!), and then wonderful dinners. I won't ruin any surprises, but there is always something special happening at the Chobe Game Lodge so I would recommend dedicating several days to your stay there. I want to end by thanking Grace and Priscilla, two of the fantastic managers, who took the time to give us an eco-tour of the facility. It is incredible to see how much Chobe Game Lodge cares about the environment it inhabits, from the solar powered energy generation, the food waste reduction, the procurement of locally sourced goods, and more. Having these women take time out of their busy day to help us understand the wonderful people behind the scenes who make this an epic vacation spot was truly a cherry on top of a five star vacation. I feel like for the service, the location, and the absolute beauty of the nature right outside your door, the value was exceptional.
