Two couples, two rooms for four nights and three days of the Balloon Fiesta. This hotel is in an easy to access location near downtown attractions, university/Nob Hill area, national monument and easy on the freeway to reach Balloon Fiesta venue. Walking distance to a good local diner and really good local Mexican restaurant plus some fast food places and convenience store. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, we loved having the suite with real furniture to sit on -- sofa and recliner -- plus usb charging ports at the desk area. We even were allowed to use the breakfast room to play some board games after the Fiesta was rained out.

We have been on an extended road trip and have stayed at several Best Western branded places. While we don't expect consistency among them, some have been outstanding while others are places we'd never reconsider. This SureStay is one of those. The location was good; far enough off of I-40 to avoid road noise, yet still not so quiet because our room faced the parking lot. The back lot is used by smokers, and is littered with cigarette butts. As a BW Rewards member, I was thanked at check- in and given a couple of bottles of water. Neither of these is meaningful in my opinion. I was also given a room "upgrade" from king to king suite. I think we'd have been happier without the upgrade. Our 1st floor room was in the back of the motel, and had 2 distinct areas, one with a sofa and recliner (plus fridge and microwave) and the other with the bed, 2 nightstands and desk. There were TVs in both areas. While there were different remote controls, turning on the bedroom area TV resulted in both coming on. The sofa/recliner area looked barren and was missing any kind of table. There was no carpeting. The shower stall and toilet were in a separate area from the sink counter. Unfortunately, turning on the shower required being in the stall, with little chance of avoiding a blast of cold water. Brr. Also, a pair of men's shorts (from a prior room occupant) were hanging from the door in the shower area. Breakfast was included, but was not good. Hot items included cheese omelets, cheap sausage, and cubed potatoes. Fortunately, there was also yogurt, fresh fruit, and breads. The coffee dispenser was outside of the breakfast room, in the lobby. The coffee was little more than brown water. There was no half & half, just Coffeemate creamer. There is no reason for me to recommend this hotel. For a few dollars more, or even the same amount, you can certainly do better.

Close to shopping with Target and Walmart a 7-20 min walk away. Rooms were average, bathroom was small. Swimming pool was closed for season. TV was good, had lots of channels, and the price was perfect. Good place, good pricing and we felt safe.

Booked here because of internet, hot breakfast, and the pool. Internet was like using dial-up, breakfast is fine if you only want to eat pancakes, and no pool (which was not updated on website) made for a rough vacation for my son. Beds were comfortable enough and our room was clean.

Outdated hotel. Did not like that you had to walk outside to get to the pool. The area is not safe. Would not stay here again. Door would not open or closed properly. The Front Desk did give us a different room.
